Idk if this is the exact branch that did me dirty but ya'll bout to face my lyrical wrath nonetheless. Since I was a young boy living in one of the many war torn buildings of Bosnia, I always dreamed of owning my own home. I would often day dream of using an actual door to walk into my house instead of going through the massive hole on the side of my building. Life was hard back then, but eventually I found my way here to Canada. I remember upon stepping out of the airport and being greeted by an RBC representative. He assured me that when the time comes and I decide to get a mortgage on a house, him and his brethren would take care of me and make no attempt to swindle me. Fast forward to a few months ago, and all my hard work finally paid off when I got my mortgage approved and I set foot inside my house. I shed tears upon seeing the structurally sound house with no holes in the walls that could result in a structural collapse eventually. I looked out the window and there were no corn fields or sheep headers in sight. I knew I finally made it as far away from my old life as possible. Everything was good until my second mortgage payment when you took out a payment that I already payed for, leaving my poor chequing account struggling for dear life. I thought back to the RBC representative I met at the airport and pictured him laughing as he walked away from me, knowing he'd set me down a path of treachery and betrayal. Praise the lawd himself that I didn't need to bail any of the homies out during that week, cause word to my financial woes, that is a rare week. As was inscribed onto Moses' stone tablets "Thou must be wary of the devils deception that dwells in thine local RBC branch"
Went for a credit line increase, instead they increased my interest rate 5%. From 4.55% to 9.25%. The manager advised me that I had an employee interest rate on my credit line. I have had this line for over a decade and stopped working with RBC over 5 years ago. I since had investments, a mortgage and banking needs completed without any questions. They manager proceeded to accuse me of fraud. I was livid, after all these years of being a former employee and dedicated client of RBC, to be treated so poorly and to be accused of something that I had no part in. Not one other branch questioned my line of credit. Nor did i even know i was still on an employee rate. In the end I closed the credit line, i was planning on transferring a balance of 20K or higher too it. RBC would of made money if they just declined the increase and left the rate the same. Now they are out hundreds of dollars and soon to lose a client.
Inexperienced staff! I went to the branch to clarify a question about my $US account. The teller did not understand US dollar accounts, but he was young. He went to ask someone else, who did not even come to my window, and he tried to fluff off an answer. The teller then went to get Tristan, who did come to the window, but did not understand US dollar accounts either, but pretended that she did. She told me that I was wrong, which I did not believe. I went to the branch at Speers and Fourth and was helped in 2 minutes that confirmed that I was correct and that Tristan did not know what she was talking about. Perhaps it is a training issue. Sam, the greeter at the branch, displayed a lack of caring. I try not to go inside the branches for exactly this reason. They need to do better.
Horrible. I went in to get some information for my investment properties, and also to withdraw some cash. There were two reps working and both of them were taking a long time with their customers which was fine. I waited for 15 minutes. Finally my turn, and one of the guy from the office popped out, and asked one of the rep to do something for him and that took another 5 min, and then!! he told this lady to go to the rep to help her out with something. What? I left without getting any service, and wasted my time. Go to RBC in Lakeshore and Trafalgar. They are always extremely pleasant to work with. Don't do your business in this location.
I am a business owner and every time i go there i am disappointed by their service. Even the manager has no idea of the rules. Many times i have been turned down for various services that other RBC branches have no problem providing. The staff is so much more efficient at Lakeshore and Hays blvd then this one. Waste of time every time i have been to this branch.I have stopped going there completely although its next to my office.
I have been a customer of the RBC for years. I am very disappointed to learn that RBC is the fifth largest global investor in the oil industry, investing over 50 Billion $ Canadian since the Paris Accord in 2016.When is the RBC going to take the sustainability and security of life and civilization of the planet seriously?
RBC has a terrible record for contributing to climate change. Since the Paris Accord agreement in 2016, RBC has funded fossil fuel development projects to the tune of $208 billion. Switch to a credit union; they have lower fees and are far easier on the environment than RBC.
The employees are rude. I went there to open an account which only needed one piece of ID but they asked for two pieces of IDs and sent me back home, maybe to avoid working. That’s not a good behaviour. Not worth going at this location.
Made a business to business deposit at the teller. Experience was not pleasant at all. Time wasted and had to listen to a bunch of BS excuses before completing the transaction. No wonder I see so many 1 star review at this branch
I went to the branch last week I spoke to the Noah she is very helpful however she told me she is in her training I found her very helpful and caring about me as a client
Great Branch I've been banking here for over 15 years and very happy. Parking can be an issue though. Great service all round with full service operations.
Zero stars is more suitable. No customer service. Inappropriate questions being asked. Private information being demanded upon in a public setting.
Really great service, and a super, well-trained and caring staff. Can't say enough good things about my interactions with this branch.
People ask for additional documents when nothing is needed and then sends back to get them. Do not visit this location for business.
Terrible experience, 5 minutes waiting while 3 employees hypnotized in front of the screen. No kidding they have such bad reviews…
Branch is closed due to lack of staff. RBC must have 25,000 employees. Couldn't they find 4 or 5 to keep this branch open?
The employees of this branch and other branches of RBC that I have had business with them are doing their Best.
Do yourself a favour and use a different back. The level of incompetence at this branch is comical..
Racially profiled and gave me a hard time when trying to withdraw my own money. Terrible experience.
This branch employees just works like SBI bank employees in india Abhi mat aao lunch time hai!!
Very helpful staff, sourced multiple foreign denominated cash for us on short notice
