Rawlins Park is a small park to the west of the White House and easy to miss. There's a statue of Rawlins himself looking toward the pool of water in the park. Along the edge of the park are benches to relax on or enjoy your lunch when the sun is out. This small, unknown park becomes famous every year during the cherry blossom festival. Bright pink blossoms emerge and on a sunny day, it's one of the best photo opportunities of DC in the spring. Icing on the cake is there's no crowds unlike the Tidal Basin during the cherry blossoms.
Neat park located in the middle of the East bound and West bound roadways of E St., West of the White House grounds. Would be great for a picnic, but there not much here, and the proximity of the homeless camp make it less appealing as the encampment grows. Closed 9PM to 8AM.
Always get a ticket when I park on the streets around rawlins and theres a huge homeless problem. Which wich is great if you're hungry and broke. Which wich is great if you aren't either of those things
Fairly bland and empty place with currently drained ponds. Nice place to stop during the magnolia bloom. The park is lined with saucer magnolia trees, so it turns very pink for a limited time!
Trees are beautiful. Squirrels are aggressive, so guard your food closely. Turns into a public bath after dark when the fountains are on, so shield your child's eyes.
This is very nice park in the middle of downtown DC. There are plenty of park benches, which makes it a wonderful place to walk, relax, or have lunch.
Nice place with enough sitting space. Are you on a coffee break and needed a place to relax and smoke a cigarette of just sit, here is the place.
The full blooms are gone already but this is a real nice and peaceful place amidst all the surrounding traffic with good quick eats shops nearby
The park was empty of all equipment and water, and any playground equipment for Children to play on. It was filthy and not well kept at all.
There hasn't been a stabbing nearby for weeks, the smell of the homeless camp in the summer is particularly aromatic in 90-degree weather.
Fountains not flowing, seems neglected. Few homeless folks sitting around. One couple who appeared to not be homeless. Lots of benches.
A nice small park especially in the cherry blossom season. The Chinese Magnolia trees blossom quite early on, early march in 2023.
There is no water in the fountain, The rodents at night run the park, The homeless sleep and bathe outside in the park
Nice little park to relax during lunch break. No food or drinks are allowed but it is smoker friendly.
We were able to park here and find 3 Lime scooters to ride to the Mall. We fully enjoyed the day!
One of my favorite places to visit in bloom. Plus it's close to SecreTea which is a must visit.
Nice park, only drawback is the number of homeless sleeping in the park and on benches
Beautiful magnolias blossoming in spring! Nice place to sit with a book and coffee.
Hermoso fue conocer los arboles con sus hermosas flores una experiencia muy bonita
Very peaceful and beautiful must see visit again and again and again …
Magnolia blooms are out! This time of year is the best time to visit.
There is very nice place for walk around and take fresh breath
Quiet park with lots of bench seating and a reflecting pool.
Great spot to see the cherry blossoms and get a cute photo
An overlooked park in DC. The cherry blossoms were great.
Love the Magnolia that blossom on March . So beautiful !
Parque chico pero muy limpio con lugares para estacionar
So beautiful is the perfect spot for the pink magnolias
Beautiful cozy, good break space for locals.
