"I have on every single occasion received extremely bad service from Durbanville SAPS"
"Utterly useless"
"What a pleasure visiting Durbanville Police Station today 27-02-2020 for fire arm licence renewal"
"I have already sit down and showed my copy and original document to her, then she saw a friend and let her friend jump the queue, and gave her the stamped copy without checking the woman’s original one, after they chatted for their shopping plan, she apparently forgot what’s going on and stamped on my notarized documents without checking them first, and she complained about my document had confused her"
"I would like to commend Constable Constance Mgobo who took my statement and Warrant- Officer Julie's who investigated my case"
I have on every single occasion received extremely bad service from Durbanville SAPS. Today 26/04/2017 I called and attempted to get a police officer to collect an intoxicated, homeless person, that is lying in the rain...clearly unable to move. This person is obstructing the entrance of this hospital and emotionally disturbing our patients. I was transferred from officer to officer. Your staff showed absolute disinterest. I spoke to Officers Roux and Katz. They transferred me to Captain |Burger, that showed even less interest and brushed me off. This is not the first bad experience from Durbanville SAPS. Previous one of our patients absconded. He was psychotic and suicidal. The nursing staff attempted to wake the sleeping officer in the van.
Utterly useless. I opened a case of attempted theft of motor vehicle. I told them I had cctv footage of the perpetrators and that their faces and their vehicles number plate was clearly visible. The very next day I got an sms stating "case closed all sources followed up". Not one detective bothered to come and view the footage. I tried making them aware of this but typical SAPS don't answer their phone. What's the point of having a police "service" if they just don't care?
What a pleasure visiting Durbanville Police Station today 27-02-2020 for fire arm licence renewal. In all my years of dealing with SAPD matters I have never expected to meet a more efficient and well organized department. Not only was I greeted with a welcoming smile from all the staff, they helped four members of the public and they new exactly what had to be done and did It with a smile. A five star rating is far to little to rate such a experience. Andre Botha
I have already sit down and showed my copy and original document to her, then she saw a friend and let her friend jump the queue, and gave her the stamped copy without checking the woman’s original one, after they chatted for their shopping plan, she apparently forgot what’s going on and stamped on my notarized documents without checking them first, and she complained about my document had confused her. What can I expect from an officer like her?
I would like to commend Constable Constance Mgobo who took my statement and Warrant- Officer Julie's who investigated my case. Both these SAPS members took my complaint seriously and treated me with dignity. Such a pity that the prosecutor at the Bellville Magistrate's Court did not see the abuse of women in the same light and dismissed the case. However, it is comforting to know that we do have police members who do their jobs properly!
The Durbanville police station in Church Street was built in 1919 and is typical of the Cape Dutch revival architecture, it is a single-storey, U-shaped building with wings and tall Flemish gables and arched verandahs between the wings. Once again the History of this building makes it so much more special and sentimental and its special to know that it still forms part of the History from where it originated.
Was in a near death car crash nearly 10 hours ago. Phoned the police for obvious reasons (official statement, checking valid driver's licenses, breathelyzers if necessary). We were told they were on their way. Could someone please let me know when they are planning to get there? Rattling my brain trying to figure out where in Durbanville they must be driving from if it taking them more than 7hours.
The firearm department is the best in South Africa , no other department can compare to them . Efficient , friendly and helpful staff . The rest of the police station is equally amazing , extremely well organized and responds to calls without any delay . Well done all of you , proud to have a police department to brag about .
I would like to thank all the staff in the firearms licencing section for the exceptional service that they provide. Despite the difficult environment (cramped offices) in which they have to operate, all of them were cheerful and friendly and were extremely efficient in everything they did. Keep up the good work!
Colonel Swanepoel is the rudest person we have ever met. Not very helpful, makes it clear that you're a nuisance and that you should not bother him with anything at all, if you're not happy with your job then please do retire and don't take your frustrations out on other people.
After a week making a fruad Case I have not get a case number have to call the Police station myself asking for it... numerous times calls was dropped detective have not call me to update me on the investigation... super bad service no excuse for not doing your job....
I would like to thank Jaque Du Toit for going above and beyond the call of duty. He's friendly and positive in he's approach and greeted us warmly. Jaque explained in great detail , I truly appreciate he's professionalism and attention to detail . Thankyou Jaque …
Twice the last two years I had to ask help at our local Police Station, first time with a problem tenant, and yesterday when a neughbour collapsed and died. The response was quick and professional, even under tough working conditions.
These guys and ladies are what I expect from a station. Great attitude and keen to help. I just wished they were provided with better and more state of the art equipment and systems. Everything is paper...Mountains of it!
Reported theft at my property Monday. Today is Friday, stil not one visit, I live 1.2km from the station. No police patrols ever, security companies are the only ones trying to help by patrolling? Why am I paying tax?
i just want to thank Durbanville policestastion,Sersant Marais for help me to get my money back which was taken from me regarding a home to rent, while the lady took my money.....Thank u S.Marais.God bless u.
Went there for an affidavit. The captain came out checking everyone in queue. Guided me to what I needed. Got it done, came back and assisted immediately with a smile. What a wonderful experience.
Definitely the best Police Station I have ever been too. Extremely helpful when I arrived and everyone greeted me with a smile. Thank you to everyone at Durbanville SAPS, You guys Rock!!!
They handled a drunk, knife-wielding guy in my complex superbly: arrived efficiently and in their droves. We need more police like this, please! Great to feel safe in my community.
Thank you to Officer Vlok for his dilligent and helpful service today. Helpful, understanding and efficient. Happily will recommend his services to anyone. I thank you sir.
I was helped by office van Niekerk. He was very friendly and helpful. The office looked clean and reasonablly looked after given the budget the police has.
I've been there a few times recently and found everyone I dealt with, very helpful all around. Even the Captain gets involved to help sort out problems.
Nou net Durbanville Polisie stasie geskakel net vir inligting.. Was dit nou n vriendelike man wat geantwoord het.. Baie dankie mnr Wie jy ook AL was..
One of the best experiences with South African government office. Quick friendly efficient. In and out in under 5 minutes. They even have aircon
Called Durbanville Saps to alert them of vagrants vandalizing the doves building in Oxford Street. Wasn't even 2min and they sorted it out.
Useless constables. Opened a case for theft. After asking the same question 4 times, he still manages to get the info wrong. Pathetic!!!!
Please read up on durbanville police... In the Tygerburger 2016/09/06... I don't think I'll trust them to HELP!
One word.... Useless or at least the ones I have had to try and talk to.... Apologize for the good ones...
Friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall good experience and excellent service from the Captain on duty.
Super friendly and efficient service from the Accident Report department. Special thanks to Mrs Moore.
These "men and woman in blue" go beyond the call of duty and even with the limited budget. Well done.
Thank you for your quick response to my phonecall. The two officers were very friendly and helpfull.
Rude. Disrespectful and never bother to assist people They don't even answer their phones.
Wonderful staff and good service. Leandre was a huge help and a blessing!
