I went to the Linden Police station with my wife and daughter to apply for police clearance. I entered the temporary office space of Sergeant Nhlapo and his female colleague. They were so friendly and helpful and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. We even had fun. Then we were sent to the office of Christo Olckers (I did not get his rank) to pay for the application. Once again the interaction was pleasant and enjoyable and he was professional yet friendly. I also went this past week to collect paperwork for renewing my Fire Arm Licences – even though the officer was busy with another applicant he helped me in a quick and friendly manner.

I HAVE CALLED THE LINDEN POLICE STATION FOR THE PAST YEAR NEARLY EVERY WEEKEND AS I HAVE THE MOST NASTY, RUDE, IGNORANT NEIGHBOURS WHO PARTY EVERY WEEKEND AND THE MUSIC IS UNBEARABLE. THE POLICE ALWAYS GIVE ME FALSE HOPE THAT THEY WILL SEND THERE PATROLLING VEHICLE (THE SUBURB IS LINDEN). NOT ONCE HAVE THEY COME. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE NOW DECIDED TO SELL AND MOVE TO ANOTHER AREA. I HAVE EVEN SPOKEN AND HAD A FEW MEETINGS WITH CAPTAIN VERMAAK !!!! HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING JUST EMPTY PROMISES. WE AS A FAMILY CANNOT EVEN LIVE IN PEACE.

The captain this afternoon at this station was absolutely disgusting. His behaviour as a captain was incredibly sad. He screamed at us and called us degrading names. An officer insisted that we speak to the captain yet we never asked to. The way they speak to people needing help is degrading and they have such an air about themselves. There are very few officers who are actually nice and helpful.

So do we report a crime whilst it is happening or after the fact. The Linden Police station responded to a crime in progress but officers that respond sit in the vehicle and wait until the crimes are done and then get out. Well done to the SAPS for serving and protecting the public. The size of most officers is shocking , I actually wonder if they can run 1 meter and not have a heart attack

I was at the police station today. I have always seen people being treated with respect there until today when I was served by this police office who said with so much arrogance that he is Ramatsitsi. He lectured me about my ID copy. There was nothing wrong but he wanted me to do it his way. I think he needs serious customer service.

We received professional and efficient service, we were in and out of the Police Station within 30 minutes. This is the kind of service we expect and appreciate as tax payers and I would recommend this Police Station to anyone that needs to do Police Clearance for some reason. THANK YOU your service is appreciated.

I got stuck this morning with my car in Martha Road and two amazing officers stopped to assist me. A huge thank you to these officers. Linden police station you have great, compassionate staff. I definitely feel safe knowing that there are good people like you ladies and gents around to protect us

So this morning after asking for assistance for a homeless man, an hour later the sector vehicle arrives. A lady in the passenger seat picks her teeth and then asks me "so do you want me to force him into your car". ATTITUDE. BATHO PELE. Sies Linden. Where is your community caring?

We are very happy with the Linden police. We had a break in, called them and within minutes someone came to assist us, they were polite and patient with us. They then processed our case and sent someone out to take finger prints ect. They were polite over the phone.

They never answer their phones and when they do, they are extremely rude and cut the call before you can finish your sentence. No idea how they plan to keep their oath if they cannot even listen to the people they swore to protect.

Racially biased and unhelpful. You may as well die outside their building and they won't even budge. This is a purely "admin" station and actual crimes get treated with lackluster effort and help. Avoid at all cost.

Latest visit to Linden Police was a pleasure. Organised and quick (was just certifying docs, so maybe different for crime reports?). Officer Mabetoa is the friendliest and most helpful policeman I've ever met.

Worst service. The police don't want to work. Kept me waiting over 30 minutes for a van to accompany me. No wonder crime is so bad in SA, the police are so lazy and there is no sense of urgency.

The firearm department is on fire . He was very professional and helpful when I did my competency and my new firearm licence. He was very quick and knew exactly what to do. …

This Police station is the worst, its always empty because they keep telling everyone go to another branch, they never even want to understand the urgency of the matter.

Really bad service when it comes to getting a copy of my docket. Had to phone numerous times and spoke to numerous people with no resolve.

Their phones never work! God forbid you have an emergency. All 3 listed numbers do not work. What’s the point of having telephones?

Very unhelpful and inefficient...where in the private sector do find that one of its functions are only open between 0830 - 1330
