I parked here on 05/13/23 at 7:49AM to go to Alcatraz Landing and when I returned at about 11:30, several cars, including cars next to mine, had been broken into. I wasn't going to park here due to the existing reviews, but my first option was closed (Levi's Plaza Public Parking). I wanted to be on time to board the ferry so I just took the risk, and I paid the outrageous fee of $40, which of course conveniently showed up when I was about to pay (but wasn't visible from the outside). Needless to say, the administration takes no responsibility for theft and they just "rent space". This place is definitely not trustworthy. It's a big, dark warehouse/hangar. There are a few security cameras but apart from one person who was apparently an employee passing by, I didn't see anyone taking care of cars. There was already some broken glass on the ground when I got there, so while on Alcatraz I was basically praying not to get my car broken into. When I came back at at about 11:30 AM, the car next to me had a back window broken. Then I started looking around with another person that also came in the same ferry, and we saw at least 3 cars broken into. I somehow didn't get my car broken into, but I'm obviously not coming to this place anymore. I didn't put 1 star because it has one significant positive: it is right next to Alcatraz landing, so from that point of view it's very convenient, specially for people with some accessibility need. Anyway, unless you feel comfortable leaving your trunk open (I saw an out of state car with a smart owner that just left it wide open), don't come here. Avoid like the plague.

Convent location for Pier 33, Alcatraz Tours and Embarcadero. The price is much cheaper than other near by parking garages at $30/day closing at 8:30pm - detail as of 31MAR23. On arrival this car park looks secure and attended, however it is not. Payment is quick and easy via mobile app or licence plate ticket machine. WARNING! This car park is not secure. Whilst our vehicle was not touched, sadly a family were there at 6pm with tailgate window smashed and items stolen. There were 2 other fresh piles of glass in the parking lot that were not there at 10am. Soo many reviews warn of this crime. We took all belongings with us, and ensured nothing was on show in the vehicle that might tempt thieves. If you are parking and leaving belongings in the car look for secure/ attended parking lots.

If you value and respect your car, DO. NOT. PARK. HERE. I parked on 4/15/2021 Is it convenient to the Alcatraz boat, yes! Is it worth the $400.00+ repair, NO. Is it worth calling SFPD, only to tell you that you have to wait 4 hours for a unit to arrive and that there is no guarantee that they will arrive. NO Will Spot Hero or the establishment pay the damages even though there is no Security. No. I got lucky that nothing was stolen. However the other 6 cars broken into that same day were not that lucky. Especially a couple who got their medical defibrillator stolen. My advise if you really want to tour this area, take public transportation.

Comparto las reseñas anteriores. Aparcamos allí por la proximidad al Pier 33 y que íbamos con prisa y en nuestro coche no había nada y era un coche de alquiler. Pero cuando regresamos para recoger el coche vimos dos autos con los cristales rotos y con los equipajes revueltos. Lo increíble es que pagas 30$ y hay dos muchachos con camisetas rojas que crees que vigilan pero creemos que junto con el vendedor de salchichas de la puerta, alertan y informan a los ladrones. NO APARCAR. Mejor prevenir… En San Francisco hemos visto carteles de aviso de no dejar nada en los coches en muchos lugares y es una lástima…

SP+ Parking (1282 Embarcadero)... DO NOT PARK HERE!!!!! Sept 27, 2022. Parked car at 1210...Did Alcatraz tour at 1230....Came back at 315 and back window was busted out. All luggage, purses, cash, etc. GONE!!!! After seeing the other reviews, this is obviously a "smash and grab" place. Other out of state cars were also broken-into....ON THE SAME DAY! No mobile security, no CCTV, no staff! After the fact, we looked at reviews and see the same experience has been happening to people for years!! Called police 4 times and no one came, we were told to physically go to the police station.

Parked here for 5 hours in the middle of the day on Saturday. Our van with Washington plates was broken into through the side window. $40 to park there and no attendant, no cameras, no security presence. It is enclosed but totally accessible, so a perfect place to break into cars. There were 6 of us and all of our bags and computers were stolen. Over $28k worth of equipment and personal items. We were on the road traveling so we had all our stuff with us. Really a horrible place to park. The police would not respond. They said to just fill out a report online. STAY AWAY.

Thankfully my BF and our rental car was spared but as we were exiting our vehicle, there was a family whose car was broken into and when we got back from Alcatraz, there was broken glass behind our car and two rows in front, and another person talking to an auto glass company. There is no attendant on duty and no cameras. And what makes it worse, the city of San Francisco doesn’t provide parking garages on the weekends. The only good thing about this location, it’s close to the pier and it was a flat rate for the day. DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN PLAIN SIGHT

This lot is the worst parking lot in San Francisco, we had our car broken in to and we were not the only ones to be vandalized, there were other 6 other cars that were vandalized at just in the same time frame, we paid 40 dollar and security there is a joke guys was completely useless, they are the worst because they know this happens at this garage every day and they don't care about other people’s property and while they keep making money, honest hard working people who are going to SF to have a good time are getting screwed.

I should've read SOME reviews before parking here today. We arrived early in the morning for the Alcatraz tour and came back to pick up the car in late afternoon. Our back side window was broken, back seat folded, content in the trunk was pulled forward. There were other cars with broken windows in the lot. What a pain to file a policy report for insurance purposes and had to drive to the airport to replace the rental. DO NOT park here.

There is no cameras anywhere we tried calling the office takes us to the voicemail. Its better to go pay an expensive parking lot. People are sooo ghetto! Every person that is trying to park here I am stopping them and saving them. Not just us but another car was broken as well.

SCAM ALERT! There was an individual at the entrance posing as a parking attendant collecting money to park here. It was a scam! He did not work there! Management is aware of this because they have a big sign inside telling people not to pay anyone. Well, it doesn’t work because the sign is inside the parking garage and the scammers are right at the entrance. Please be aware! Only pay at the kiosk inside the building.

After reading other reviews I was hesitant to use a new parking lot in SF when I visit. This lot was closest when I took the boat to Alcatraz. I returned with zero issues to my car! I have used other mobile apps to pay for parking and this lot uses Way. I did not like to use this app, not very intuitive and difficult to use. I had to touch the physical pay terminal here. I didn’t like that much.

Our car war broken into and laptop bag stolen. Surprisingly, there was no one at the property from the company to help us at that time and the customer care people were not available over phone to report the incident. I sent emails to them on their customer care and social media email accounts but no one cared to respond.

Do not park here. $35 dollars to have your belongings stolen from your boot. Smashed windows and careless attitude from the ‘staff’ on site. Our car was parking at the nearest lot from the entrance in plain sight for anybody walking by on embarcadero, but it didn't stop the thief. Police informed us that this location is well known and it happens daily! Stay away

Our car was broken into, and I lost my entire backpack which contained my valuables such as passport, ID card, phone and thousand of dollars. There was no operators around and we cannot find any surveillance cameras around to help the police investigation. I am really disappointed with the parking over there.

We didn't have any trouble parking here. It was $30.00 and it was from 10-8:30. We were told by a man working there to put all valuables in the trunk. He said people will break into your car. We left it parked about five hours and did not have any problems. It was great parking if you are going to Alcatraz.

We parked in this garage for the Alcatraz tour. When we returned, two of our windows were broken out and several thousand dollars of luggage was stolen. i suggested to google the address 1294 The embarcadero San Francisco, it should take you to the right location. Tying to find was confusing its actually located in pier 29 ill post a pic was able to find myself its lightly past this street light on pier 29. Let me k ow if works out for you.

DO NOT PARK HERE!!! Our van was broke into WITH an attendant present. Ours was not the only one! 2 other vehicles were broke into along with ours!! When we called the police they said it happens all the time. The attendant conveniently saw nothing while 3 vehicles were being broke into!

We went to the Alcatraz night tour so it was convenient to park here. It did look shady and there were boards that advised to not keep belongings in the car so we only brought things that we will take to the tour. A lot of cars were parked here. All pier parkings look almost like this.

The parking garage wasn't that bad, most of the people were complaining from car breakings. I won't recommend this place to anyone who has valued things inside there car. There is no cameras arround, and no one monitor the area. All u need is yo protect your items by ur self .

Don’t park here. Yes, it’s cheaper and wonderfully close to Alcatraz Landing, but it isn’t worth it. Our family was traveling in three cars, all of which were broken into. We lost thousands of dollars of personal property. Go pay more and park safely at the Pier 39 garage.

If you're doing a prepaid voucher you MUST be able to print in advance. We bought ours via phone on the way. There was no attendant and nothing to read the QR code that came with the pass on my phone. Also, it's poorly marked. Look at Google Street view beforehand.

Parked here last week for Alcatraz and lunch, car was fine when I returned. Make sure nothing is visible in your car, SF is known for car break-ins. The parking was out of the sun and convenient for me, but a person on-site would have gotten the 5th star.

I parked here for the Alcatraz cruise. I had no issues finding a spot, paying at the machine(which takes card), or leaving at the end of the day. I’ve heard car break ins are on the ride in the SF area, but fortunately my car wasn’t victimized.

Parking pier 29 seems pretty legit at first but when I came back a few hours later from alcatraz it was all bad, someones luggage left behind broken glass from multiple vehicles someones laptop stolen. I was surprised no one broke into mine,

Absolutely not safe to park here ! All around the floor there are broken glass pieces and some cars with broken windows. That speaks for itself. I’m sorry but a parking lot with no video watching or no security for 30$ fee… I’m shocked.

This parking lot is absolutely awful. We parked there 25 minutes, we left one small bag and thieves broke the glass and took it. Do not come to this place. Find a safer parking spot.

On July 18th 2023 our car got broken in. The back window was smashed and our bag and backpack was stolen with some electronics. I don't recommend anyone to park there.

My car's side window was broken, and another car beside me received the same treatment. Luckily I was able to find a glass repair shop that fixed it on that same day.
