Very disappointing. Paid extra for deep tissue and was one of the lightest massages I’ve ever had. She basically rubbed the skin of my legs and arms a few times and completely neglected them. If you are going to offer deep tissue and charge extra for it you need to know how to do it. We were also changed and ready for the massage before 11am but the massage didn’t start until closer to 11:10 so I paid for 15-20 minutes for both of us ($40-50) worth of massage that we didn’t get because they stopped at exactly 12pm. They also charged me $30 extra so Sunday surcharge which didn’t show anywhere on my receipt or at the online payment checkout. They showed me where it was on the website but you can’t expect customers to scan through your website looking for this if you aren’t going to show it at checkout or on the receipt. Lovely people but I paid for a massage that I didn’t get, paid for 60 minutes for 2 of us and got closer to 50 minutes each, and paid $30 extra for a Sunday which didn’t show anywhere during or after the payment process. They weren’t willing to do anything about any of this when I gave this feedback except tell me they would be in touch. Not expecting to hear from them so sharing this here.

Although the staff member I initially spoke to was friendly, I was told I was going to be emailed confirmation of my appointment..no email (needed email to pay according to the staff member) I checked junk email to see if it was there etc no email. I rang the next day no answer and left a message for them to confirm my appointment ( second day, no email) this is now the third day and why I need the email is because I'm coming from New Zealand. Very disappointing as this was for my birthday, we were going to spend quite a bit of money, I was trying to book in advance so that everything was easy :(

Hidden gem located in alleyway.. amazing massage/treatment - so relaxing, Honami was amazing !! I booked in afternoon and saw another review on noises here and there but didn’t bother me one bit as i focused on relaxing music and sure I drifted off a few times lol! Highly recommend perfect harmony package - 2.5hrs of bliss .. foot massage (30min) , hot stone body massage(90min) with shiatsu head massage (30min) - Great value for amazing treatment. My husband also had 1hr massage and he loved it ! Will book again when we get back to Melbourne- thanks Sakura for a fab experience!

I had low expectations coming here and even lower when we were showed up a staircase in the building next door to their other studio. The decor is fairly tired. That’s the negatives. For the therapists and the massage experience itself, what an amazing time we had. Such a friendly team we had take care of us and they were very skilled and always checked in to make sure you were ok with the pressure, technique etc. If you are looking at visiting this business compared to the luxury hotel spas in the city, this place has them beat for price and skill of the therapists.

My friend and i got the Japanese Princess package which includes body scrub/exfoliation, massage and facial. ($210 each for 2.75 hrs) It was overall a great experience however you get what you pay for. Body scrub was the best thing we liked as we never had that before. Massage was ok, didn’t seem like they were trained properly and facial used pretty generic products. Would recommend if you’re looking for a good value for money place. But if you’re looking specifically for a massage or facial I would consider elsewhere.

I love this amazing place, very very clean and I am impressed with wonderful services in a Japanese style. The therapists there are very professional, they serve you with their hearts and good service minds. It is the best place you can relax your mind. The cosmetic products they use as treatment in the massage are the high quality and you feel skin improvement right away after the treatment like 10 years younger. I highly recommend to come to this place it is very worth every cent of your money.

I had such a horrible experience with Sakura Lounge - I’ve been refused any further bookings here because I called to cancel my massage as I woke up feeling unwell the day of my treatment. I was told I’d need to pay for the massage in full as I’d given less than 24 hours notice and because I questioned the booking policy in regards to covid-19, I was sent an email stating “As you don't agree to our booking terms we will no longer be accepting any future bookings from you”.

This day spa is a quiet little gem hidden away down a laneway in the middle of the CBD. Smelled beautiful as soon as we walked in, and staff were all smiles and courteous. I went in for a one hour pregnancy massage, and the therapist made sure to ask me questions about my preferences before we started the session. It was amazing, exactly what my sore, very pregnant body needed! Bonus points for the heated bed :) Will definitely be back!

It was my first time having a body scrub and I came out feeling soft and luxurious. The massage was pure relaxation and the facial is heavenly. we had a couples massage here yesterday. only one word to describe it. HEAVAN. the girls were very professional. the massage the facial the foot massage was incredible. it was a structured professional massage. we had a 3 hour package and i loved how it wasn't all done from the same person so the girls didn't get tired we had fresh hands every hour. we will definitely be back. price was very reasonable.

I had such a great shiatsu massage. I would love to know what the masseuse’s name was. She kept a firm pressure for the entire time and focused on my shoulders and I mentioned it was a problem area for me. It was such a good massage I’ve booked in for another one. We had a sakura body wrap and a 30min reflexology session and it was absolutely the best experience for de-stressing and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and respectful of your state of undress. The premises has a lovely atmosphere with soothing music, woven slippers and soft gowns to wear after the shower from the wrap. Could not fault the experience and excellent value for money.

After buying a friend's massage for my close friend and I, we finally organised for a Friday afternoon. The technicians were wonderful and the experience was delightful and totally relaxing. From the foot massage, the body massage and the facial to end the day was long overdue and it was a bit of a shock to walk out into busy Melbourne after zoning out for the few hours while in Sakura!

Extremely poor booking systems on the phone and online. Called to make a booking and the person who takes call can’t even effectively confirm the dates and time of a therapist. I have to wait for couple of minutes. It’s quite unorganised and honestly quite poorly managed. I am a regular and to hang around on the phone for so long just to make just ONE BOOKING is almost quite a joke.

I've been here a couple of times mainly for deep tissue massage. I've had it with different people and they were all great. I've always felt really relaxed after that. They usually will ask you if you have any specific area that you'd like to focus on and can accommodate the strength of the pressure to your liking. This is definitely my go to place for getting a massage.

The staff are lovely but unfortunately I think the lady I had was new. Not a very good massage, kept missing the key points, just kinda felt like I was getting squished around. I think the lady is in need of more training before getting a start on actual clients. Had a 45 min aromatherapy massage that cost me $85 so not really a good value for money experience

The massage therapist's really know what they're doing! They hit all the right spots and were really lovely. The only thing I'd note is that the space could be a little more inviting where the foot therapies are done. It's quite a large space with alot of movement and with loud air-conditioning it took some time to really relax. Other than that it was great.

My partner had booked a massage for my Birthday. Unfortunately, I had food poisoning on the night of my booking. The business refused to reschedule, offer a voucher or give a partial refund. I understand the onus is on the client to be available, but given my circumstances its disappointing the business did not try to arrange an alternative option.

I knew the experience would have been great from reading google reviews but it far exceeded my expectations. My partner and I had a 3.5 hrs geisha package and we left feeling very pampered and relaxed. I’d highly recommend the experience to friends and family. My first visit to Sakura Loung and Spa on 20/09/22. Staff was very friendly and Ayaka was excellent. She was very professional and focussed on exactly what I needed with the Deep Tissue Massage and has relieved a lot of tension in my body. Honestly the best place for spa treatments. My partner and I felt relaxed from the moment we walked in the door. The staff are so friendly, kind and welcoming. I had high expectations about this place. In my opinion, it is overrated and overpriced for the type of service offered and the environment. Additionally, we had 2 different masseuses and it was noticeable the different level of expertise between them.
