"Overall a good bakery with many selections"
I love the food at sidewalk citizen. I’ve been eating the food and pastries for years. The sandwiches are delicious and huge. The salads and soups are always fresh and amazing. I also really love the pastries. The monkey bread is so good and the brownies. I like to take them home and warm them up and put berries and ice cream on it More
Came here for a sourdough bread class and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Chloe was an amazing instructor and we even made pizza at the end of the class. We took home some dough and because of all the techniques we practiced the night before, my bread came out perfect. I’ll be back for baked goods in the future. More
The best bakery in Calgary. We are loyal to their ham sandwich for breakfast (it sounds boring but trust us so good!) but we always try something new too and it has never disappointed. Their Yule Log was fantastic for the Christmas season. They definitely test their recipes till its absolute perfection before releasing. More
From what I heard, they are already kind of an institution in Calgary. I gladly confirm this status. Their almond croissant and pain au chocolat are great. When in Calgary, I always have sourdough bread and eggs for breakfast or brunch here. The service is very friendly. More
Overall a good bakery with many selections. However, the sandwich was just alright and quite pricey ($17 seems like overkill). The pastry was good but nothing too special as well. Also not the best service. Very cool interior and marketplace however! More
The bread is the highlight here, as you might expect. I’ve had the sourdough and baguette and both are excellent - crisp shell and soft, moist interior. But you can tell that they care about the overall quality of ingredients, presentation,
Best bakery in town, partnered with the best coffee, Phil & Sebastian, on the popular river walk, it's a can't-miss destination when I go to Calgary. Sourdough sandwiches are the best, but too much to eat alone. I haven't tried everything I
This place always baffles me. Their food is great but I swear I have never gotten food available to me under 20 minutes. Even if you get a premade sandwich (which is supposed to expedite the prep?) it still takes like 20 minutes to heat it
What a nice bakery located inside amongst some other eateries. The pastries are well made - the milk chocolate espresso cake is a heavy little cake that encapsulates both flavours very well at $3.95. The croissants were standard and good.
It's been a while since I've been here and I forgot how amazing the food is! The breakfast sandwich was great, the combination of flavors went well together, I added bacon and chose the sourdough bread which I prefer over the brioche. The
Wow! I came in for brunch because I was told that their shakshouka is to die for and they definitely lived up to the hype. The tomato and feta was perfectly seasoned and it was a pretty generous portion. The sourdough bread was also very
Came here with friends for a quick breakfast and coffee. The food options were so interesting and it's great to see bakers from the counter working their magic. The Simmons building is pretty cool and I'm glad Calgary has given these old
Came here for breakfast and got the breakfast sandwich on brioche bun with avocado as well as the eggplant pesto sourdough melt. The breakfast sandwich was our fave but the eggplant one was good too. I also got the vegan chocolate spice
The bakery cafe partnership does a lot for the space. Lots of room and variety to the seating options with smells and activity to keep it pleasant and entertaining. Bakery goods look ok but not as good as the sandwiches sound. They were
Fantastic experience here this morning. Ordered a couple things to eat in for breakfast, then an almond croissant to go along with the front of house staffs favorite pastry - she chose the kouign amand. Everything from the plush savory
Went there about a week ago and got a whole bunch of pastries, because everything looked so amazing and I just couldn’t decide. Some of the best ones in the city! Almond croissant and chocolatine were my favourite. Still have their
Their croissants are to die for. I had Almond and Chocolate. Both croissants are crispy and buttery. For almond croissant, there are lots of almond filling inside and just a touch of sweet. Chocolate filling is kind of the same
Loved Croissant. Had to visit third time in order to get croissant. They were always sold out. Wish they had better and more seating area. It’s full on the weekends and they
The almond croissant was a total bomb! We wouldnt stop talking it ever since the first try and went back for 2 more times during my short 7-day stay in calgary.
