I think we all take our health a little too much for granted. On a close friends recommendation to find myself a GP and stick to one, I started looking around. After a bit of research, I came across Silky Oak. I am glad I made the effort and decision to come here. Dr David Nixon and his supporting staff are thorough, professional and I walk away feeling a sense of care for my health and well being. I have made changes in my lifestyle as a result of consultation and advice given here. I will continue to come here and it's my nominated medical practice to visit moving forward. I'm not at all related to anyone in the practice but people tend to forget that it's also people (reception, admin and overall staff) who you go and deal with, they are working with numerous people, trying to assist for each of their requirements so a little courtesy towards them will do miles for you too, respect works both ways. I say this as I read some of the comments and don't quite understand the basis.. Thanks for reading.

Been going here for the entire time I've been alive. My old GP Dr Paul Mercer is retiring. He fixed many things for me in the past. I've transitioned to Dr Eleasa Sieh who has already significantly and measurably improved my outcome as a patient in just three visits. It's amazing what a difference it makes when you get a GP that will actually listen to you about what you're experiencing. I'm lucky to have had two at this practice. They don't fully bulk bill unless you have a healthcare card which I didn't. I struggled with that for a while, but it's always been worth it. Plus, it's not their fault our governments keep eviscerating Medicare.

The doctors and nursing staff are fantastic with little kids. We have had amazing care that saw our newborn diagnosed with dehydration a week after birth that lead to on-the-stop care to hydrate and urgent referral to the hospital. We are forever grateful! From wonderful child friendly ways of assessment, treatment, vaccines, travel letters, we have always been treated with dignity and excellent care as a family.

Reception staff can make you fill like a crook Was a yucky feeling. No compassion or understanding. Threatened me in front of people in waiting bay if I didnt have a medicare card that chase me a bill.. After giving the receptionist my centrelink number, which is link to my medicare. Way more then 4 people in a tiny waiting area.

What a pathetic medical centre, I was waiting for an hour for my appointment with Dr Du Toit and had to walk out. Not 1 person even made me aware that she was running late. The ladies at the front desk have a look on their face like they just don’t want to be there.

Dr Kat is an amazing Doctor! I'm so happy to find such a caring and supportive GP and someone i feel comfortable with. I would not go anywhere else. The reception staff are all very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this surgery and Dr Kat!!

I have finally found a doctor I have trust in but before I started seeing them, I did not appreciate being told I'm overweight by who I was seeing previously when they had no knowledge of my height, weight or even my body type, just went by guessing

for something that could have been diagnosed within 15 minutes but took an hr & a half to work out along with printer problems and computer issues and charged me with a long appointment?? no thanks! i will not be back

Great doctors but it seems to be so hard to get an appointment these days as it's more about the doctors and not the patients.... maybe it's time to find a doctor who has time for they're patients

Convenient local doctors' surgery that’s recently had a nice revamp. Staff are friendly and professional and the place is well managed.

Yesterday It cost me $7 per minute / $420 per hour for a phone consultation ............ Who says it's not about the money???
