Went a little bit after lockdown when they weren't allowed to turn into clubbing late just for drinks with a big group of girls. I didn't like the fact they put us near the entrance on a very run-down couch instead of the more Instagrammable spots a bit more tucked inside although the lighting would have been even worst for pictures knowing it was already too dark by the window. I really appreciated the fact they give out a free non alcoholic drink to the designated driver (which I was not, just happen to never drink) although I'm not sure if they would have charged for more if I'd have asked. The waiters did confuse the amount we owed them at the end, so much that my friends had to go back a week later once they realised the mistake made since they didn't want to hear anything on the phone...

Bought a voucher off Groupon for my partners 30th birthday and it included finger food for 15 guests. Making the booking was easy as it was correspondence via email and she was efficient. The food I had ordered came as requested and was more than enough for our friends and family. The live music that night was directly in the middle of the dance floor, close to where the tables are, and made it diffult to talk as it was so loud and a massive crowd of people dancing behind us. Ordering drinks was really quick considering how many people were there on the night and the staff were friendly. Bathroom was all the way upstairs but was clean which was good!

We were out for a calm Monday evening, looking for a location to chill and have a drink. After walking in, we found a spot to sit down, and we were abruptly harassed by a visibly tipsy and tattooed shirtless staff member who crudely told us that if we weren't going to buy drinks we should get out! We weren't even there long enough to be able to walk up to the bar and order a drink. After intimidating us, he directed us to leave the venue (doing so in quite a physical manner to my sister). I would never recommend this place, unless you enjoy being rudely harassed and inappropriately touched. Absolutely disgusting. Would give zero stars if i could.

We had a social event at the Somewhere Bar in Prahran on Friday night. It is a casual, relaxed venue where we caught up with a group of friends over a few drinks. We also had some food snack platters - bruschetta, hot Asian snacks, hot party pies and sausage rolls with some vegetarian options and a seafood platter. We had a group of about 15 people and everyone had a good night. Service was relaxed and friendly and all of the staff were happy to chat and to help.

Somewhere bar is quite the place it has a bustling vibe with a lot going on both inside and out. The vibes are very fun and casual for a night out on Chapel street. The drinks are pretty good and with no entry fee it’s certainly a great place to hang out or meet up on a night out. If anything the only downside is the size is a bit small for how popular this place is. However if you’re looking for a good vibe and a place to meet people this is certainly it.

Watch out if you're paying on card, me and my partner both got over charged for drinks. It was meant to be $6 happy hour and I caught the bar staff charging me $18 for 2 drinks, I called her out on it and she apologized then gave me and extra drink, but later found out that my partner also got charged $22 for 2 drinks by the same person. Can not recommend this place at all.

Stumbled into the place after a spirited night out eating Japanese sushi train. Owner and management take customers seriously and try their best to ensure we are staying safe ie alchohol and social laws. Which can be difficult with such tight footpaths and to the general public I liked the live music

Place was pretty nice, good atmosphere and decent music. There was a projector playing random videos of extreme sports which was cool. Bartenders tended to ignore a few people standing at the bar for no particular reason. Other than that, was a good vibe, decent crowd and good central location.

Horrible and uncouth manager. Upon asking how an under age person can be in a licensed premises, he escorted us out. Even the guards were shocked with the way he picked on us. Apparently the underage girl was his friend. Never expected such an unprofessional behavior from a manager!

Me and my friends were dancing and the manager pushes us aggressively to get through and we proceeded to ask her to say excuse me next time politely and she kicks all of our friends out. Do not go here, the staff are abusive and I respectful. WORST PLACE ON CHAPEL

Super cheap for a gathering if you use the Groupon deal. Venue is nice and cosy, albiet a bit dirty. Drinks aren't too expensive and music is played at night. Place turns into a club/bar around 10pm-ish so you can transition from quiet drinks to getting loose.

Was here on Saturday night and loved it. Had such fun dancing to the amazing music the djs were spinning. Bar staff and security were friendly. The whole vibe of the place was awesome. I'd totally come back for my next night out on Chapel.

Amazing dance space located in Prahran. Selection of Melbournes finest drinks and DJ’s being served up until 1am on most nights. Definitely can get a bit packed, but if a big dance floor is the vibe, this is probably exactly where you’re looking to go.

Just had a coffee there but this place was cool. Really laid back with jazz music in the background and comfortable seating and decor. Gun staff can help you to stay there for hours! Just a nice and relaxing vibe all-round. Coffee was perfect!

Rude security to start with, we came from Sydney had our digital ids from service nsw, he said they don’t accept it in such an ill-mannered attitude but still let us in. Rude host and impolite bartender. Wouldn’t recommend this bar at all.

What a great place to hang. I came here with group of colleagues 2 Wednesdays ago and we all had such a great time. I believe her name was Emily, she was the best, so friendly and fun. Loved her vibe and the vibe of the bar. Thank You

They are amazing! DJ plays best music here. Guards are absolutely nice! Keep it up. Bartenders are cool and always cheerful. Drinks are not expensive Im guessing. They have smoking area. With tables and chairs Toilet are ok.

The Somewhere bar has the loveliest staff who are literally a blur of smiles and the quick service of drinks. Really happy diverse crowd. Easy to get to just around the corner from High Street. Loved it.

Photos of the place are from "the previous owners" according to the guy behind the bar that includes the description on Google and their website. They don't do cocktails for example. It's was a disappointing experience.

Tap beer was disgusting. We had Fat yak first then frothys and both tasted gone off and musky. Curly haired bearded barman was very rude too. I was glad leaving here because the pints were so bad.

Small but stylish bar nested in amongst the many other bars on Chapel Street. Music here is pretty good as well with a DJ and a dancefloor up the front end of the bar on more popular nights out.

Not really my kind of place. It would have been when I was 19 maybe. But I felt like it was just dirty, the music wasn't great, the bar staff were unfriendly and the toilets were a disgrace!!

Absolutely hostile crowd and security guard. Done nothing wrong and got kicked out. This is a venue I will definitely not recommend ever to anyone and it should be shut down!!!!!!

Nice bar with a dancing club in its veins. If you want to have a great time and meet new people, this is the place to go. Live Dj's mixing and jugs of beer. Overall great.

Poured $100 of dollars into this place and they reward me by not letting me in purely because I had been at a different venue. Not angry just disappointed.

The best place for cheap beers, spirits and wine on Chapel. Also has great DJ's and a pumping vibe on Thursdays-Sundays. Never fails.
