We had our engagement party here in November 2018 & it honestly was perfect from start to end! The event coordinator was so nice, very accommodating & was able to give advice about the set up. On the night the bar tender was lovely & also the chef. The food was SO delicious & majority of our guests made a point of telling us how nice it was! The digital screen wall is really quiet an amazing feature & gave the rooms a nice atmosphere with all our photos rotating through the night. It very comfortably accommodated our 90 guest & the outdoor area was great for people wanting to just chill away from the music. Cant recommend more highly for an all round function venue, reasonably priced & flexible with food selection & drink choices. :) It was a magical night & one to remember! Thanks Strada Team!!

I cannot fault The Gateway – Strada Bar & Lounge. It was the perfect place for a wedding reception, ample and comfortable accommodation, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and we had the night of our life! I would like to make a special mention about Nat, she is amazing, lovely and very accommodating. She went above and beyond my expectations. She responded quickly to my queries and helped us make a couple of last minute changes to the room layout the day before. She put me at ease and I never had to worry about our wedding reception! And best of all there were no hidden or extra costs! Thank you! It was the perfect end to the best day of our life! Jodie and Daniel

It's ok but desperately needs updating and more modern touches, motel itself I must say was not very impressive except for the spa bath in room. My nana had dirty unwashed crockery in her room after checking in. I'm sorry but that's not good enough. Clean your motel thoroughly, your in the bloody tourism/hospitality industry and people expect higher standards than this, even for a non-five star place. There was far more wrong also but I will mention it in a post about the motel itself because this is about the adjoining dining/bar/lounge area.

Recently revamped as 'Creative Chinese' cuisine.. Don't bother, service is deplorable. Owner operators don't speak one word of English, literally. You will not get what you ordered. Wine is warm, food is cold. Our friends and us are in total agreement that this place is quite possibly the worst restaurant in Melbourne.

Great restaurant and hotel rooms. The service was amazing with great food to compliment. In the buffet breakfast there was an amazing chef and waiter; both always was looking out for me.
