Terrible experience last night, was with a group of at least 40 with a fair few thousand dollar bar tab. Most of which were females, who were refused to sit inside the venue in sub 10 degree temperatures, our booking was forced to sit outside in the cold and refused gas heaters being turned on by staff and the owner. Females were shivering from the cold, whilst inside the venue was half full and yet refused the human rights privilege of warmth on a freezing evening. Refusing to refund the bar tab our group was forced to stay in this very inhospitable environment, especially when the owner/manager then began denying people of our party drinks off the tab because they refused to sit outside in the cold. Disgusting service, expect another 20 minimum of these reviews.

Horrible experience with the staff, we sat at tables that were apparently reserved for ‘people that were coming later’ but…they never came. Horrible customer experience. Others were told off for laughing too loud. We’d been to an anniversary dinner, with many people among the group driving. No one was intoxicated, as the bar was prepared to serve us…just wouldn’t let us sit anywhere inside the half full venue. All problems were caused by the venue trying to get us to sit in disparate areas. How dare we arrive at a bar, looking for a drink, but without a booking.

Dropped in here for a drink after a very disappointing dinner nearby. This place helped to revive our spirits. Excellent authentic cocktails. There are lots of different seating areas to accommodate different groups, that allowed us to choose one away from a group of noisy women having fun. The service was very good. There is also a small bar menu, however we didn't try any of the food, so can't comment. There's also a large outdoor area in the adjacent laneway that would be great in the right weather.

Easily one of the best local bars in Moonee Ponds. Owners are amazing and the team working behind the bar know their way around friendly and relaxed service as well as the know the best route through their extensive menu of drinks. We have moved away from the area, yet still make the effort to come back to MoPo just to spend time in Strangloves.

Popped in for a drink while we waited for a table for dinner to open up across the road...and I was very tempted to just stay here instead. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy, and the guy who served us obviously knew his stuff and was really nice to chat with. Heaps of comfy seating and little nooks to settle in...and any bar with board or card games is a winner in my book. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this little wine bar. Grab a bottle of wine, order the Farmers’ Cheeseboard and sunk into the couches with a couple of mates. You’ll be here for hours chatting away. The seating is set up so nicely that you forget you aren’t in someone’s lounge room. Great staff who are really helpful. A local treasure!

Best cocktails in Melbourne coupled with really friendly service. Our go to is the amaretto sour but you can't go wrong! They also put genuine effort into their non alcoholic options which is always nice to see. So glad Strangeloves is our local!

They had no idea of what wines were vegan and when I mentioned I would google it they got offended. I found the vegan wine that was available and ordered a few for the table. After that we left… and had the most enjoyable evening at Saros thanks to Patrick and Mario

My favorite bar in Moonee Ponds. It's me and my girlfriends go to place for a few quiet weekday drinks. The owners are also very lovely, knowledgeable about the products they sell and always good for a pleasant chat. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Lovely intimate bar. We like the room upstairs with the bookshelf wallpaper, globe and comfy couches. Cards against humanity was available for us to while away time as we enjoy an excellent glass of vino. Great wines selection available with friendly staff

Great place for a group gathering. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks and bar food. Love the different choices of seatings. Even in the midst of the Melbourne heat wave, the back covered courtyard had a lovely breezy. Will come again.

Fine experience elevated by the lovely staff. The layout is cosy and the furniture is comfortable and classy. The pricing is fair for the quality of what you get here, no complaints.

Just hopped into this bar. Cozy with amazing bar tender. Nice collection of wine and whisky. Remember they offer bottle of wine for major collection and glass menu is limited.

Really loved the place inside there were plenty of seats to have a group and outside even more. Cocktails were great and an amazing wine and whiskey menu.
