Peter and Tuula at SSAC are awesome, I used them about 2 years ago and thier service was excellent, helped me get my old 1995 Landcruiser up to NSW standards, even going so far as help me get the Gas bottle re-stamped and certified on the car! After moving away to the Inner-west and having troubles with other mechanics not being able to solve my car troubles I came back to the team at SSAC who were able diagnose my problems within a few days. The travel to see the team and have them solve my issues is well worth the 45min drive to see them and drop the car off. They gave me options to fix the car, realistic timeframes and always went the extra mile to assist me in getting my car running the way i want it to run. The team have sourced parts country wide and even internationally to help me get the old 1995 landcruiser up to scratch and I couldn't be more thankful. I'm off to my car around the NT for the next few months but when back in Sydney i will 100% be bringing it to the team at SSAC for a full check over.

I needed to get my modified Landcruiser blue-slipped and I couldn't be more thankful to Peter and the team. Peter was always happy to have a chat to me about the blue-slip process, giving both general and specific advice to me. And when I turned-up to the blue slip inspection with a faulty brake light switch he let me park the car there overnight while I got a replacement switch and he even installed it for me before doing the blue slip inspection. Oh, and he didn't charge me $0.01 extra for any of this, it was all part of the service! If you have a modified car, or a project car, or a hot-rod, and you want someone who KNOWS the ADR rules that will work with you to get your car on the road, Peter is your man.

Lazy workmanship - oil and coolant spilt throughout engine bay obviously didn't take the time to use a funnel. Because of this, the smell of burnt oil won't be good for resale value. Now I have to go out and buy a degreaser and clean up the mess. Also engine oil used was an inferior blend. For the price paid I would expect full synthetic like everywhere else. Sticking with my regular mechanic. *Update 20/08/17 - So it turns out the tyres had also been rotated incorrectly. Re-fitted the tyres with the wrong directional rotation. Pretty dangerous especially in the wet. FFS is someone overseeing apprentice work? Or, is this just plain laziness?

I would not recommend this mechanic. I took my car to them for diagnosis only and they replaced several parts which were not the cause of the problem, at great expense to me, before telling me there was a crack in the engine and the engine would need to be replaced. They even replaced the battery in my key when it didn't need to be replaced and added the cost to an already expensive bill. They apparently film you without your knowledge when they show you the work they did. Also, one of the receptionists was sarcastic and unhelpful, so my whole experience with this business was negative.

I have been using Dave and the team from Sutherland Shire Auto Centre for the past 5 years, and I can honestly say I have been happy with their service every single time. They take much better care of my Nissans than the local dealer who I used to get to service them! (And priced considerably better!!) I thoroughly recommend Sutherland Shire Auto Centre and will continue to use them. They are incredibly female friendly, efficient, cost effective and just all round good guys. Thanks team! You'll be seeing me soon no doubt.

My 2018 Impreza was well overdue for a service due to previous owner neglecting. Marni offers fantastic service in the office, nothing was a hassle with her and she’s very friendly and outgoing. The mechanic explained everything that was done, and although the bill was a bit higher than anticipated, I was happy to pay, as it was all itemised and clearly required. I get a good honest vibe from these guys, and my car is driving so much better. They also gave me 5 free car wash vouchers!

Highly recommend these guys! Booked in a car that I was looking at buying, and they were so thorough in checking everything. He went above and beyond in explaining everything to me, and even noted it on the invoice. Not only that, but they did their best to squeeze me in last minute. I have been to a lot of mechanics and have never received such honesty and detailed explanations. The price was also cheaper than expected! Definitely recommend these guys.

Overcharged me for a blue slip. Average price for a blue slip is 65$ to transfer an interstate registration. Charged me 100$. No explanation except that they conducted a detailed design check. Despite this, the staff were friendly. Owner has subsequently responded to the review and has advised he will contacted me to resolve the issue. I have adjusted the rating to 4 stars noting this is just a price issue.

Immaculate service and attention to detail - would not take my car anywhere else. All my friends and family that have taken their cars to Peter and his team have all said the same thing. We're so lucky to have found this gem of a workshop. My old man who is the fussiest bugger you've ever met drives his car from Maroubra just do get it worked on here and only here. That itself speaks volumes!!!!

Highly recommend Sutho Shire Auto Centre. I've serviced several cars and have been always looked after - pink slips, brakes, timing belts and what's not. Peter and his team will always explain you what needs to be done so you have an understanding of what's going on. You can spot many cars that they serviced on the road around greater Sydney area as they all have stickers.

Sutherland Shire Auto Centre has been keeping my vehicles on the road for over 5 years. They always get my authorisation before doing any extra work they recommend as necessary. And at the end of every service they provide a detailed report on any work that may be required in the near future. David and his staff are to be congratulated.

Had a quote elsewhere and was told I need several things doing two of which were not the case ,so I went to peter and staff they are brilliant . fixed my car did coils and sparks and at a great price will be going there again great place if you have LPG too. Thanks guys

Got told one of my tires wouldn’t pass inspection but another mechanic down the road said it was completely fine so long as it was not on the limiter. Car passed inspection.

Honest people, they dont rip you off on pink slip inspections like some places will. I recommend you go here for pink slip inspections. They also do lpg tank testing.
