I go to switch enough to remember what the quality of their food was once like; and I have to say I was extremely disappointed by the chicken Parma that I had the other night. The taste of the chicken was as good as a frozen microwave meal. The crumbing was terrible, and it was definitely not of restaurant quality. For the amount they charge, it’s embarrassing that they would serve up such a dish. The ‘salad’ was fit for rabbits. A toss of lettuce on the side with barely any dressing. And the chips were ‘okay’ but served cold. The meal looked somewhat palatable when served, but every bite proved otherwise. Nothing about this dish was enjoyable. I was served utter disappointment, and left in absolute disbelief that they could proudly serve such a poor quality dish for a high price. If you want a Parma done properly, you’re probably better off going to the pub. If you want a poor quality Parma, they are cheaper in the frozen section of your local supermarket. Poor form Switch. Poor form… The only reason you get two stars is because your staff were friendly and helpful. They were the best part about the experience.

The staff were pretty good when we visited. Able to squeeze us onto a table without a booking on a busy Friday night. Staff were also reasonably good on table service. Meals came out fairly quickly, but it was the quality of the food that disappointed. The Ivan pizza was absolutely shocking. The taste was ok, but the olive oil from the pesto absolutely suffocated the pizza, looked like they drizzled half a bottle on top of the pizza. Was not appealing to pick up and eat. Our friend had the chicken burger and said it was average in flavour. The best part was probably the chips. They were cooked very well. The lemon lime bitters was lacklustre on flavour too. It really hasnt changed much since we used to go for dinners as teenagers. I'd hoped it had changed. I'd say if you want average food and an average experience, you've found the restaurant for you.

I had the chicken and pesto focaccia, choc ripple milkshake and a latte. The milkshake was great, complex flavour and texture... I only wish the crumbled Oreo on top was easier to eat rather than just to enjoy the looks of it. The latte was also great, smooth and well brewed. The chicken pesto focaccia, however, was a little disappointing - not in looks or portion size, as it was large and well plated with plenty of cheese. The taste was a little basic which left it feeling a bit flat, and the bread was doughy and not quite cooked through. A few more minutes baking would have made all the difference! Service was amazing and felt very comfortable as all the workers who interacted with us were friendly and helpful!

Food was incredibly expensive and mediocre at best. Staff completely untrained. I was with a table of 10 on a quiet Wednesday night. They had squished us onto a table of 6 and when we asked for an extra table to spread out the waiter was so confused he had to ask his supervisor. We had no drink menus until we asked. He then proceeded to take our order standing at the head of the table while we all had to shout our order at him. After that ordeal had finished he then proceeded to relay our 20 drink and food orders from the same spot he'd been standing the entire time, very, very slowly. The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because the food was edible. I ordered an entree of two bao buns and a schooner of beer which cost over $30.

Good atmosphere and lovely staff. We had the lamb ragu. The meat wasn't well distributed and there was quite a bit of fat instead of actual meat. The pasta was cooked nicely but some of the pasta had stuck together during cooking. Pasta sauce had been watered down a bit so didn't have much of a rich flavour. We also had the Fruity Mocktail which was pretty sour, mostly ice, lime juice, sodawater and crushed raspberries. Would like to see a little bit more care taken to uplift the food quality to align with the price point and high quality table service.

Been here twice within a week recently. One being Friday lunchtime and very empty. 45 minutes later and no drink or food... Asked waiter and due to "printer area" they didn't receive the order. Given a complimentary dessert while waiting for lunch & promised a decent discount for the inconvenience. Food good when arrived over an hour since ordering. At checkout given a $5 discount. Not impressed! Today with a group of 6 people for dinner, one never received their meal, waitress not listening to orders and customers. Multiple stuff ups ordering and receiving drinks. Trying to get staff attention very tricky! Terrible service!! Will not be coming back again!

I’ve eaten at lots of places but this one disappointed me. The food was very average. I had salt and pepper calamari which came with just salad. The salad was like the bag of mixed lettuce leaves from coles. Not even one piece of cucumber, tomato or anything at all. A drizzle of dressing. You had to pay extra for a small bowl of chips, and I mean small. There was hardly any calamari. The dish all together was about $34. For that price, portions need to be more. At the end of the day the real cost is only the calamari as the cost of not even a handful of lettuce and the same with the frozen chips is minimal. Wouldn’t go back.

Not a fan... Paid 32$ for a margarita pizza because I added olives and mushrooms for 5.0$ a pop absolute joke. Any way pizza was trash, base was salty and doughy, cheese stunk like plastic. Very cheap ingredients. Also paid 18$ for 4 little arancini balls that where drenched in some sort of overpowering garlic aioli. When we came in the staff member was rude when we asked to sit inside and walked to our seats, getting annoyed and saying "you can't sit there wait till I'm ready and I'll show you to your table" with attitude, mate you work at switch fountain gate lol Won't go back

This one star is a reflection of the owner and not any other staff member. Booked an event for 40+ people, after organising everything with the event staff who were amazing the owner changed the terms & conditions multiple times, he is clearly money hungry and did everything in his power to try and ruin my daughters 30th Birthday celebrations. We will never step foot inside this restaurant again which is a shame as the staff were incredible and did everything they could to turn it around.

Was here earlier in the year with a group of friends, called probably 20mins in advanced to book for a table of 16 and was surprised upon arrival that they have it all ready for us at a quiet end behind the bar. Food was amazing and in large portions. We all ordered different dishes but one of the dishes that wowed me the most was their platter to share... their fried rice was delicious and calamari was spot on. Staff was helpful and friendly, however because we were in the corner they forget to refill our waters and had to ask a few times for extra cutlery and napkins.

They were very accomodating and response from emails to phone call queries were answered reasonably quick. We celebrated our wedding anniversary reception at this place and everything went perfect, from the Food, Service and the Staff. Highly recommended to friends and families.

Had a great night at Switch before seeing a comedy show at Bunjil Place. Had the Hot Honey Cicken Pizza which was awesome. The only downside was how many times we were hassled by staff, i.e. once we had ordered we were asked another 2 times if we were ready to order. Other than that it was a great night.

The chicken Parma tasted like processed chicken and the chips were dry and horrible. The crispy chicken Asian salad the chicken tasted floury and the salad was mainly purple cabbage. The gnocchi was rubbery and only half eaten by the guest. The pizza one of our guests got looked and apparently was really nice. Most of us had finished our meals before drinks were brought out.

Thanks to the team at Switch for the great food & cocktails. Our waiter Darian was very tentative, great service thanks mate! Food came out fast, drinks as well and the new Watermelon Red Bull Mojito was amazing. I had the lili had a little lamb - lamb shoulder wood fired for 16 hours, house made hummus, lemon, tomato, mint, spanish onion, parsley, chorizo oil, pistachios, char grilled turkish bread. Very mid tier place to eat at Fountain Gate. I've been multiple times now and the food has been underwhelming each time. The drinks are decent as long as you don't order a slushy style one, as staff will overfill it and allow it to soak your whole table. There are better places to eat, go elsewhere if you can.

Had dinner here before a movie on Saturday. The venue is large and well decorated, good place to hold functions. The food however could be better. My gnocchi arrived poorly presented as pictured. They didn't even bother to separate the panchetta, they were all still clumped together. The chorizo was burned black (you can see bits of it in the picture). It tasted good but not excellent. For $28 I would expect better.

Had the ragu and pork ribs, pasta had perfect portions with good amount of beef, it tasted amazing. The ribs were covered in a really nice glaze and the meat fell off the bone with a good side of potatoes and sour cream. Sat outside and had a very nice vibe with heaters to keep warm. Service was quick and friendly, couldn't ask for more.

Quite a nice space, love the green wall at the back, looks great. Service was good. Menu was quite extensive, lots of different items to choose from. Food was very expensive for what it was and really didn’t set the world on fire. We had two pizzas, my partner had Hawaiian and I can honestly say that it looked like a saddest Hawaiian pizza I’d seen for ages. I probably could have made one better at home…

The food was quite tasty. The service was very prompt and nice n friendly . The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The calamari was nicely cooked on an Asian slaw that had a nice amount of chilli factor but not too hot. The cake was yummy but we were quite full so took part of it home as it was a big slice. We liked the coffee and cake deal to round up our meal for just $10.

No word of a lie it took us 30min's standing around in a line to pay for our dinner. Expensive prices for average food. $29.50 for a Parma is on the higher price range and you expect it to be somewhat decent. Worst Parma I've had for that price, It's was average at best. Absolutely fantastic, we will be back. Staff were friendly, served straight away. The food was amazing, all well presented, hot and huge portions. Kids meals would feed 2 kids easily. A little on the pricier side but well worth it! Place was clean staff were quick to clean up after we left. I would highly recommend.
