Mate this place is honestly amazing. I went into Richards Sydney Mechanic and Smash Repair store after being recommended to him from a family member as I am new to the country. Being cautious of being overcharged as I have already experienced from other places. Richard was honest and sincere in the repairs needed for my car. I was reassured that I didn't need to pay for any unnecessary changes to my car as he thoroughly checked the functionality and safety of my vehicle. He went to further extend his help by showing me how to check my oil, water, and show me other functions of the car I hadn't known about, as well as pointing out basic things like a service sticker or service book that the car I had just purchased, did not have. I can now further look into this as I hadn't been aware of this before!!! (I know its pretty basic I just had not noticed!) Richard and his colleagues were an absolute 10/10. Going to the mechanics by myself as a young woman I often feel talked down to or made to feel dumb, but that was not the case for this place. Richard made sure to well assist me for what I came in for, and ensured I didn't waste any money on things my car did not require. Absolutely lovely. I will most definitely be coming back here for any future problems I may run into and I highly recommend this place for the great customer service, thorough checks of the car and grand hospitality.

My car had system errors and was stuck in limp mode where the car wouldn’t go faster than 40km or even 20km at times. I had previously taken it to another mechanic but they didn’t even try to fix and only reset the car’s computer which dismisses the errors but the major issue is still there. I was desperate for a solution and needed a mechanic to do the work. I took my car to Richard and his team and they certainly found a solution. They carefully investigated the car and successfully repaired the car by replacing the Throttle Position Sensor. It was a great success and I was very glad Richard did the hard work and fixed my car. They even provided me with my old sensor (pictured) to show the work had been done. The turn around time was fast with my car ready to be picked up in a few days. I highly recommend Richard and his team!

this service store so professional and patient. i am late this morning but they wait me and arrange staff to check my car service history and condition, after everything checked and they explain every details to me what we need to do with this service, engine oil change and break oil check and electronic check amd other thing, the staff so patient and yes i am a new user for bmw, i visit parramatta bmw the store want me pay 1300$ for one service or buy a 2 years service plan with 2k, so rediculous and i back to them only 200$ for my car, all services and parts , oil is the same with bmw store even better. really recommend this car service shop and good experience.

The engine light on my car appeared which was incredibly stressful for me but luckily Richard & Joel were able to assist me promptly and professionally. Both gentlmen explained what they were doing to the car as well as the results and next steps. They were very patient and kind when dealing with me. Richard has a wealth of experience as a mechanic and as a female with limited experience with cars, I fully trust Richard. I took my BMW X3 here for repairs (leaking coolant) and Richard was very helpful in diagnosing the problem and arranging the necessary repairs. He was very informative and upfront on what needed to be done and the costs involved. The charges were very reasonable and he was very thorough with the car as he also picked up on a few others things that needed attention. I ended up having my car serviced there at the same time as the repairs. I would highly recommend this place for servicing or repairs.

An amazing service provided by Richard and his team. My car was badly leaking and I had to get a replacement for the water pipes, and Richard was able to get them examined, replaced and tested all ready to go within a week. He also serviced my car and gave it a thorough inspection. Everything was done professionally, no fuss, hassles or stress. Very reliable, honest and helpful mechanic, I highly recommend Richard and I will definitely use his services again in the future.

My VW Tiguan was spluttering and engine light flashing. After seeing that the local dealership could not fit me in for 3 days i decided to check with Sydney Mechanic which was right near my work. Best decision ever. They diagnosed it (including sending the report and pictures), replaced the plugs and ignition coil all in the same day even though i brought it in after 1pm. Well priced, honest and friendly. Will not go anywhere else.

Richard is an honest mechanic with a great work ethic. He keeps you updated with prices and always checks with you to make sure that you are happy along the way. He was even willing to work on a last minute public holiday at no extra cost to get his clients job done because they were stressed about getting it done before the weekend. Haven't used my car for nearly half a year during COVID, it wouldn't start due to dead battery. Found Sydney Mechanic & Smash Repair information on a website, messaged Richard in the morning, after 2 hours he came and helped me start my car. He also shared lots of useful knowledge about car checking and on road situation handling.

This place is consistent with what other reviews mentioned - Richard and his team are honest mechanics who puts customers first. Did not charge me for their 10 mins of work to check my cars AC and presented me with options to proceed. Will definitely be back for service and pink slip.
