UPDATE: Was shockingly surprised to receive a call from Richard this morning and apologized for the mishap, and is issuing me a refund. Changing my review from 1 * to 4*, but leaving the story there for others to make up their own mind. Richard restored his shops integrity, and if anyone has issues in the future, don't do like I did (stewing over this for years), talk to Richard, and he'll make things right. Went there for years, thinking they were better than most, but when I went with my old vehicle, which was running badly, they worked on it, charged me a small fortune, and when I left, it drove worse than before. I drove back and said what's happening? Richard told me we can't see through metal, it may need a valve job, but suggested maybe cutting the cat might help. It didn't, and I was AGAIN charged. When the mechanic came to talk to me he gestured with finger quotations that IF I WAS LUCKY ON THE WAY HOME I WOULD "HIT A DEER". Excuse me, but what kind of mechanic are you and why would you say this?! I paid Lots of money to have them not fix my vehicle, and have the audacity to say this to me. It sat in my driveway for 6 months after this, till I found a GOOD PRIVATE MECHANIC who KNEW it was the CPI unit OVER THE PHONE. He fixed it the 1st time and did the job with pride. Ya, T-mac is nicer than most, but in my book if your mechanic gives up on a vehicle just because it's old, then they should NOT be a mechanic, and do something else instead of insulting customers. Answer: Yup that was me. I left with that vehicle running extremely badly to take it home down the highway. I understand mistakes happen, but this was not a mistake, it was incompetence on your mechanic's part. With my vehicle running as bad as it was (and you guys new it). You should have NEVER charged me, knowing this. My van ran great for several years after my good mechanic fixed it.

Amazing service from beginning to end! I had been to a few places that wanted to charge $160 just to diagnose. Their shop rate was very fair at $60 what I was quoted. My wiper wouldn’t turn off and suspected it was my wiper switch. They communicated with me the entire process and ensured me that if a new switch didn’t fix the issue that I didn’t have to pay for it. I asked about used parts and they were happy to search for one. They spent over an hour looking at my car and it ended up being a blown fuse. $3 + 30 mins shop time. I am so happy that they are honest and good people. So many places would have overcharged me, as a woman it’s difficult to not get ripped off. I will always come back for all my mechanic needs. I’m so happy I chose them based on their google reviews. Due to location and circumstances I had taken my vehicle to three places prior to T-Mac to diagnose a noise coming from under the front driver's side, with different answers from all three places. The first place said there was a rusty bolt and they tightened it up so I bought the vehicle there. The second place, where I safetied it said there was nothing wrong. The noise persisted. Though I was satisfied with the explanation from the last place, they didn't have the part (sway bar bushing) they said I needed. Of course I took it to T-Mac for the repair. Once there, the friendly staff determined it was just a link that was loose and they tightened it AT NO CHARGE!! Now when I drive it doesn't sound like there's a mechanic under the hood. I will always be a T-Mac customer; it's a family owned honest garage.

The manager is friendly, knowledgeable and direct. He tells you what you need and what you don’t need depending on the age and condition of your vehicle. This place has an excellent reputation and has repeat customers who bring back their vehicles for years and years. They’re the local garage that people trust and rely on and the wait is never too long to get in and their estimates are always accurate. They’ll call with estimates as soon as they know what’s wrong and they stick to their estimates. They also have an excellent Jeep specialist in the shop who helps many local Jeep owners and he’s troubleshot and solved problems in seconds that the dealer took weeks to figure out. Experience matters. I highly recommend them for any vehicle work.

My husband was travelling out of town when my car decided to go belly up... Was hesitant to go to a mechanic shop by myself you always hear about girls getting the crappy bills or not being told the truth about whats actually wrong with your car. Not only did they go thru everything with me, in detail, but also showed me. The bill was completely reasonable and the repairs were done really quickly, which made it easier for my daughter and I to get around again. Once my husband returned, he was so impressed and happy with the charges and repairs, that we have a new shop to go to forever. Great people, great work, and even better communication. I can't say enough good stuff about this shop. I am 72yrs old and I've been seriously swindled by auto repairs for some time. What a relief to deal with honest, respectful folks. I thought my old car was a goner. I'm used to paying thousands (really) for repairs, and was about to give my car up and buy a bus pass. The man I spoke to encouraged me, said the bill wouldn't be 'too bad' and the car had miles to go yet. Charged me less that half what I was expecting for ball joint, axle, alignment etc. And guess what, I was charged only ONE hour shop time!! Really? Has anyone had that happen. These folks are not liars and thiefs. They are decent, fast, honest. Give them all your business. I'm going to.

Got a flat, Googled "tire shop". This place was a couple of blocks away. I limped in during the Arctic Vortex, everyone's vehicle was frozen and broken down. Richard had two new snow tires installed within 3 hours. I was shocked. The cold snap continued. I asked in the late afternoon if there was any chance he could do a battery the next afternoon. He installed it in less than 2 hours while I visited my gym a couple of blocks away. Incredible customer service. Very friendly. Prices were very good for both visits. I will be back and will recommend to family and friends. Five Stars!

I brought my f150 in for breaks and new air lines for my 4x4 on Monday. By Wednesday the job was done even tho the parking lot was slammed with customers. Richard called me several times with updates and prices before he did the work. Absolutely top notch service and honest pricing. There are a few other things that need work on that truck but I told Richard I just wanted the breaks done so he didn't try to up sell me anything. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back here and telling anyone who asks where to get quality honest work done.

I've taken my SUV to the T-Mac on Goulet for years. A few times I got them to inspect things I was worried about, but they reassured me after an inspection that everything is good and not needing replacing. I had a shaky steering wheel on my Sonata which was caused by what turned out to be a faulty left front tire that needed to be replaced. They diagnosed the problem and I thought I might as well just replace all 4 tires instead of 1 due to low tread depth anyway. Their price was very reasonable, and they also did an alignment for me at no charge probably because very few adjustments were needed. Very satisfied with their service. Will definitely return for future car maintenance needs. No wonder they are always so busy.

I have been going to TMac for many, many years and have always had the best service possible. They have worked on everything from my '74 Dodge and '78 Chevy camper vans to my Dodge Caravan and Toyota Corolla. They fix what needs to be fixed without a bunch of "extra" charges. Whenever I need advice on a product or service I'm confident in the info they provide. Unbelievable work! They found the smallest detail in no time at all. I did some work myself but when I went to drive my truck my cluster lit up like a Christmas tree, I spent hours trying to figure out what the problem and it came down to a spacer! I couldn’t believe they figured it out, I thought it was going to cost me big money to diagnose the problem and correct it but it was so reasonable I had to write a review

Very honest business. Nothing done that doesn't absolutely need to be done. I'd send my mother there without hesitation. I sent my son-in-law there for front end noise. It ended up being cold related (ice buildup) and they didn't even charge him for the inspection! Just gave him advice and sent him on his way. Essentially never charged him for their time. He's now a customer for life.

I need safety inspection and I found this shop luckily! Honest and nice! Inspection fee is good! I have some items needed to be fixed. The price quote to get them done is also good too. But due to time limitation, I did them myself. They are nice, do not persuade you to use their work. Everything smooth! Highly recommended.

If it is a small problem, they don't bullshit and tell me they need to keep the car over night they fix it on the spot and don't charge for an hour. Never going to any mechanic other than t Mac.
