Visually beautifully area to be in. The panorama of Table Mountain, the site of Robben Island, the view of Table Bay harbour is just exquisite. Then there's the Woodbridge Isle Lighthouse, the walkway across the water and the golf course around the corner. The lagoon itself is beautiful if one looks on the surface, but does hide many ill's that killed the canoeing pastime so enjoyed by many in years gone by.

This Reserve has its days...often very stinky, polluted and full of Sewerage seeing that it competes with surrounding Townships, Industrial and Residential property. But it has huge potential to shine on a good day, when flamingos and pelicans are out and birdlife is teeming...probably from all the not so nice nutrients in the Water. You got to pick your day...

Who doesn’t love an opportunity to take a stroll along the promenade. This place is to photogenic and after the recent rains, the grass is lovely and green again. Stunning views of the Table Mountain from the beach. There is also a variety of restaurants on the island.

Shark Tooth Hunting - Seek & you May Find Every time I have been here I have found a few, just take some time to check the shell areas and get your good eye in and I'm certain you should pick up one or two for your efforts. What to do with them all now??

Walking by Milnerton Lagoon and Lighthouse is always a pleasure. As a plus there are lifeguards on standby if you want to go for a refreshing swim in the Atlantic. The golf course nearby also gets great views of the beach and Table Mountain.

It is unfortunately not what it used to be. The ecosystem seems to have changed due to the pollution. Bird life still quite special but not the variety or numbers of a few years ago.

Closest place to watch the waves. Very relaxing. Noticed that kite surfers are now also coming to this stretch of beach and even on the lagoon itself. Parking can sometimes be a pain

  • Amy VanLienden

Great experience the only problem I have is people drinking and smoking dope on the premises and starting trouble with groups of people that would like to enjoy their day

  • Heidi Stander

Beautiful clean and safe beach area. Only problem is there's no shops close by. If you dont have transport it can become quite a walking distance to and fro

  • George Ricketts

Toilets should be made more accessible to the public. All ways no toilet paper. City of Cape Town shoyld investigate the reason why.? Staff stealing it ???

  • Mashilo Magongoa

This was the starting point for the ABSA Capetown 12k City Run. It was a beautiful day, the grass along the lagoon was nicely cut. Everything was perfect
