Flybuys - you’ll live Recently I thought I should join the Flybuys bandwagon since there are ads everywhere and I’m at Bunnings every week, however after my recent visit to Target, I don’t see the point in joining a loyalty program where the only reason is to capture customer data. Turns out, Target and their point of sale terminals are not up with the tech (that’s been around for 4+ years that you could scan the barcode from the Apple Wallet. Imagine my surprise when I asked one of the team (male, early 20s, chubby with blonde hair) to be told that, I don’t need the points but I’ll live. Later that day, I had to return a costume for my nephew that didn’t fit, at the customer service desk, the lovely girl (dark hair and super helpful) asked if I had my receipt (I didn’t), asked if I scanned my flybuys card. I managed to keep my rage in toe however this avoidable stuff around could have been avoided if there was some training or a sign that said. Scan you Card from the Flybuys app (not Apple wallet) or use the floor stickers to show how to do it, if you’re worried about visual clutter. Such a big beautiful store with an untrained and unsupported loyalty scheme that is no doubt under performing in these stores makes me think that this isn’t a KPI across the target brand. Why have a loyalty program that isn’t used and Bunnings are literally asking every customer to make sure they have their cards out?! Fix it or forget it Target

This was a really negative experience the staff were unhelpful and were actually quite rude. I was sent on an errand and just wanted to get some basic assistance to find an item and nobody would assist me. The “greeter” at the store was sarcastic and couldn’t check the stock or even send me in the right direction. He gave me a general wave as to the general location of the kitchen section but was otherwise of no assistance. There seemed to almost no staff in the entire store and I had to call the store on my mobile to get someone to come to the kitchen section to help me find and item. A young woman approached me after she heard the store’s automatic answering service on my speakerphone, she was quite awkward and appeared out out that I asked for some help. I asked her politely to help me find and item that was advertised as being in stock on their website she said it was no longer stocked and then rang another person internally on her walkie talkie device and laughed at a demeaning comment that was directed at me by the person in charge of homewares. I left feeling quite embarrassed and had to go to Robin’s Kitchen to get the item and their staff were helpful. I get that the stuff is cheap but I think that most reasonable people are prepared to pay a little bit more for some basic modicum of service and courtesy. If you don’t buy stuff here all the time, you have no idea who works here or where anything is.

Called the store was told the item I wanted was only online so had to purchase it from there was made to select the store I wanted to pick up from. Had to go to the shops anyway on the same day. Walked in the iteam was on the shelves available in store to purchase there and then was pretty annoyed at this. Took the item up to the customer service section and asked if I could just collect it as it was there. Was told no as even though I had selected this store to collect from the item was being sent from somewhere else. Worst service ever.will never be using target ever again. What a failure of a system. To the point I had something similar happen at bigw and they fixed it on the spot no problems. Target is a massive failure on basic stuff

Meh, beautiful and large store but staff unhelpful. Target says they will price match toys if another company has that product listed for cheaper. As long as this item isn’t on sale or clearance, which the item I was after was neither of. Kmart listed the product as $39 and at target $100. Called up to see if they had the item in stock and could hold the item, which they did. I asked the lady on the phone if they can price match, I told her the price and she said yes. I drove an hour to pick the products up only to be told by the manager we can’t get the items price matched because it was a “sale item”. The product on google shows it is a “new price” not a sale or clearance. Pretty disappointing.

Love this store, always presented beautifully, warm welcome by a familiar female face and always happy to help, sorry haven't checked her name ‍♀️. Customer service counter always great in here too. I normally have one of my daughters with me, my toddler and she seems to always fall apart by the time I get to the counter and another familiar female face always happens to be on when I need her . Always goes above and beyond smiling and helping. Andrea, I think her name is, mum brain/screaming toddler ‍♀️. Thank you so much for always giving superb customer service! I was with my sister around 12:30 and we where at the self service (brookside) and the two ladies that where working (27/4/18, around 12) didn't even acknowledge my sister or I. Not even a "hi how are you" .Rude. But they both acknowledged the two people next to us. Another customer and us walked out at the same time and she said "thank you have a nice day" to them but not us. Bad service. Very unwelcoming. Didn't make us feel comfortable or acknowledged as we where paying customers.

The customer service especially from the manager was very poor, I had to return a faulty item that was almost new and he wanted to argue with me and was going to refuse me a refund until I said I wasn’t walking back out of the store with the product I was returning. I got a target return’s card which is all I wanted. Shame I overheard the manager saying he was just going to chuck out the faulty item. How is anyone meant to fix the problem if they don’t know about it?

Worst Target customer service - especially at the Customer Service counter for Click & Collect! The ladies do not care if customers are waiting or checks to see who is next in line (serves a random customer instead!). The people in the front do not know where things are and chats to work colleagues on the walkie talkie (and expects me to finish their conversation - very unprofessional!).

Fantastic service from the moment I entered to the moment I left. The greeter was able to give me easy to follow directions and put in a call to the department I needed. When I got there another staff member took me directly to the product I needed, had good product knowledge. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. It's a 5/5 from me.

An excellent spacious department store to brouse in! Clothing & bedding plus electrical equipment! Dvd's & Cds! Friendly & efficient service provided! Wheelchair access is available plus parking outside the Brookside Shopping Centre! At the moment there are great red, black or white boots on sale!

Helpful staff, nice new fittings room plenty of everything from clothing, work wear, linen, back to school stuff, shoes, electrical appliances and soft furnishings, basically everything you see in other Target stores. I'm happy they are back at Brookside.

We returned10 mins before closing time and the door was already closed. We had been sold shirt with the security tags still attached and when we returned to the target that had closed early they refused to reopen the gate and take the tags off.

Massive store that seems to have lost some of the appeal of the original Target at Brookside. Audio, entertainment section is a little disappointing but on the whole it's a great store and well placed back in Brookside.

Give the chap a pay rise!!! Alex was great, holding a lego product for me as I work in the city full time. Customer service counter was amazing as well. Best Target store been to by far....

I have found the staff really helpful and friendly here. In customer service they went out of their way to help me. In my experience much better staff than Kmart or Big W

Needed help finding a particular item and Berwinn was very friendly and helpful with helping me find what I was after over the phone. His customer service was amazing :)

Lady at checkouts trying to rush me out of the store on sun need help using cash checkout (was crazy) not good service at all Not way to be treated that way.

Huge and new Target, and you'll find all the things you need from Target. Great personal service at the entrance and self-checkout for leaving faster.

Target inside Brookside Shopping Centre has the usual range of goods. All checkouts were self-service during this visit to the shop.

Modern, clean store in the centre of Brookside. Replaced a Myer store when that chain pulled out of the complex.

Love the modern layout which gives it a refreshing change from all the other stores I've visited.

A good tidy store. Unfortunately, target has mostly dedicated itself to women and children.

I went in to buy a black sleeveless blouse and found just the thing on special. Touch down!
