"A contemporary restaurant located in Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill; a regional hotel in the Mornington Peninsula area offering a set course dining experience for hotel guests as well as customers who are looking to dine only"
"Pros Beautiful grounds Good wine list selection Waiters do try to accomodate The food is delicious and they include 2 x small trial food experiences which were great Cons Very slow service (expect 3 hours) Waiter service could improve (engaging, personable) Ran out of oysters at 7:30pm dinner Small portions (entree and would include a side for the table with mains) Had to ask for bread and butter (was forgotten) Online menu has 5 choices for each; entree, main and dessert, when we arrived we only had two and were embarrassed because we had raved about the wide variety menu options"
"This is the perfect place for an amazing Sunday lunch in the most gorgeous setting and well worth the drive to Red Hill on Mornington Peninsula"
"Wow - this experience was both lavish and cozy"
"We have visited the Lancemore before and Julian and the team never fail to impress with excellent wine suggestions and making you feel special"
A contemporary restaurant located in Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill; a regional hotel in the Mornington Peninsula area offering a set course dining experience for hotel guests as well as customers who are looking to dine only. Had the set course which included the following dishes on the day: - Sweet spanner crab covered in a smooth creamy mash potato topped with potato skin crisp and burnt puff rice which added a nice contrasting texture, finished with a burst of brininess from the salmon roe - Kingfish sashimi was fresh and paired well with the sweet citrusy lemonade coulis and the light refreshing yuzu kosho pickled radish - Freshly baked sourdough bread with a nice crust, butter was tasty but was not soft enough to spread on the bread - Cape Grim sirloin steak was cooked medium rare; very tender and succulent, paired with a mild umami mushroom puree and some crystal ice plant which was fresh and crisp - Root vegetable slaw mixed with dill and a creamy light horseradish dressing; a good palate cleanser for the steak - Baked Japanese pumpkin was soft and sweet with a nutty and earthy black sesame sauce - Dessert was layered with coconut sponge, cherry compote and coconut cream, covered with nougat and iced chocolate rocks, and topped with a scoop of sweet and slightly tart cherry sorbet. Very delicious; tasted like a gourmet cherry ripe and rocky road concoction which was not too sweet Overall a pleasant dining experience; nice interior with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Food was very tasty, enjoyed every dish. Also staff was friendly and was knowledgeable about the ingredients that goes into each dish.
Pros Beautiful grounds Good wine list selection Waiters do try to accomodate The food is delicious and they include 2 x small trial food experiences which were great Cons Very slow service (expect 3 hours) Waiter service could improve (engaging, personable) Ran out of oysters at 7:30pm dinner Small portions (entree and would include a side for the table with mains) Had to ask for bread and butter (was forgotten) Online menu has 5 choices for each; entree, main and dessert, when we arrived we only had two and were embarrassed because we had raved about the wide variety menu options. This restaurant is definitely for the people/groups that like to take their time in enjoying the experience, atmosphere, wine and surrounding grounds. The grounds are beautiful to stroll around between courses or before and after. Bring mosquito repellent in summer. If they improved the timings on food delivery, slightly more engaging personable service and increased menu options I think they’d definitely be a 5 star. It’s got all the elements to make a great place I’d want to come back to.

This is the perfect place for an amazing Sunday lunch in the most gorgeous setting and well worth the drive to Red Hill on Mornington Peninsula. The restaurant is part of a winery and accommodation venue that you reach at the end of a tree-lined avenue with beautiful vineyards either side. The dining room has a classy and cosy 1920s feel, with lovely views over the property. We had the set Sunday lunch menu which was an incredibly delicious, beautifully presented set of dishes, masterfully delivered by the very friendly and knowledgeable host Julian. The cuisine is very inventive, and it's easy to see how the restaurant has earned its two hats. But unlike some such fancy restaurants, the portion sizes here are generous so you leave feeling very satisfied. We struggled (but managed) to finish the deconstructed cherry ripe dessert, which was indescribably interesting and delicious. Definitely recommend for a special occasion lunch.

Wow - this experience was both lavish and cozy. The service was first class yet not pretentious. The environment, inside AND out was beautiful, even on a dreary, cold, rainy night. I can’t wait to return on a sunny day. Chef selected degustation menus can sometimes be a tad over the top for me, but every single dish was delectably delicious and perfectly presented without losing the simplicity of the separate ingredients. The flavors complimented each other without losing their individuality. The service was like a multi-movement symphony expertly conducted by Julian and his staff. The timing was perfect, giving us ample opportunity to enjoy each dish without rushing through the evening. This is an incredible culinary experience, in a gorgeous setting, carried out by masters of the kitchen and dining room.

We have visited the Lancemore before and Julian and the team never fail to impress with excellent wine suggestions and making you feel special. The food was magnificent, portion sizing could be a little more upsized with the paired down menu (especially for the men). Be sure to book the main dining hall, the annex does not have quite the same atmosphere if it’s a special occasion. This is a favourite of ours and you should spoil yourself!!

Many thanks to Chef Tony Brazendale, Host Julian Morgan and their teams for creating, with pride and care, a very special dining experience which showcased and celebrated the unique tastes of the Mornington Peninsula. The food was exquisite, the service both friendly and informative, and the opportunity to sip the estate Pinot Noir while watching the sun set over vines from where the grapes were grown, was truly memorable. We look forward to returning to The Dining Room to again sit back, relax and enjoy the indulgence of each course - all chef-selected, and all five-star works of art.

Wonderfully accomplished entrees and mains , freshly baked loaves of bread with churned butter. The potato gratin side dish was a killer ! Desserts were perfectly balanced - not overly sweet.Relaxed luxury slow dining without the rush of second seating .

We thoroughly enjoyed the new five course degustation dinner at the The Dining Room at Lindenderry. The meal was a great combination of first rate produce and considered fine flavours with a well chosen and reasonably priced matching wine list. The setting was warm and inviting and the service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. For a relaxed fine dining experience The Dining Room at Lindenderry is now a new favourite of ours on the Peninsula and punching well above its weight when compared with some of its more pricey options.

Kid-friendliness
You get kids could definitely go but not sure they would appreciate it properly, better suited for older teenagers and adults. Is very peaceful so younger kids could be disruptive to others.
From the time you enter the gates of Lindenderry to the time you depart, you are treated to an indulgence of beauty , taste sensation and impecable service. The food at "The Dining Room" was equisite and Julian was a wizz with selection of wines and service for the meal. One of the best culinary experiences I have had the pleasure to experience, it made our 40th Anniversary celebration really special. Thank-you all Cheers Kevin and Pam

We stayed at the hotel last night and after a days worth of adventure, we showed up without a booking at 8pm and the manager Julian went out of his way to accomodate us. He was super helpful and the staff were all lovely. We really appreciated our experience here.

Absolutely amazing restaurant with fantastic views of the gardens outside. They were quite understaffed when we went but made up with delicious food. We had the scallop entree and fish main which was delectable. Their desserts were also wonderfully curated and certainly not to be missed!
Each course was beautifully presented and all were wonderful taste sensations. Service professional and each dish explained to us. Great wine selection and again, great service. Fine dining at its best.

Elegant-casual dining space with a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service and sensational food that’s beautifully presented. The boneless quail with artichoke was absolutely delicious, as was the Beef Rump and Braised Cheek. The native fruit and wattle meringue pie - heavenly!
The degustation menu was superb. From the moment we entered and were greeted by Julian, we knew we were in for a special night. Every course was explained to us, beautifully presented and the flavours were beyond delicious. Thanks to everyone in the dining room More
Beautiful food (stunning to be clear) but let down by very slow and impersonal service. I rate food only 4/5 as the portions were also too small even for a fine dining establishment. Service was main issue; head waiter was friendly on
Second visit to Lindenderry and the food was again amazing. We had the 5 course degustation (which was actually 7 courses that night) with paired wines - they were all amazing in their own unique way. More
