Customer service does not exist here. And if you are very lucky, you might even stumble across someone by the name of Maryanne. I tried finishing work early to return some faulty goods. Upon arrival, it was evident I was not there to purchase anything. I am greeted with someone greasing at me at the front entrance with a sigh mumbling "seriously" - Like I really enjoy the process of bringing back faulty goods.... To make things better, Maryanne pops over to "help" and directly asks "you do know we close in 10 minutes yeah?"..... I was taken aback. I also work in customer service - to say this was poor is an understatement. She then started to make the process really difficult for me saying that your receipt is not the right receipt. You need the completed receipt - yep never thought this was even a thing. There was a receipt with my full name written all over it, but its not the right one so it cant be processed - you need to call the other store you purchased from I am told. Another 10 minutes goes by and I finally get a hold of the special numbers for this return to be accepted, where shortly after I am asked if I want to purchase another one... nope. I just a working microwave. "Its over there" with her finger pointing into the direction where the microwaves are stored - yep I work here. Like I know exactly where the microwave I am looking for is located. After struggling for a few minutes trying to find the replacement, someone finally comes over to help me.... Return process - nearly there. I then carry the new one over and am given a new receipt about 5 minutes later. I wonder if this will be the "right" receipt should I encounter another issue - I pray to god its not. Ordeal finally over. I must say Dawn who seems to be working under Maryanne was lovely as she was at least nice to deal with, but as for Maryanne, the experience is night and day. I wish you luck should you decide to shop here because that will be my first and last time - thats for sure.

I am disappointed that I now join the que of people spruiking their poor experience with "The Good Guys, Taylors Lakes". I purchased and paid for a product that was not in stock, I was told that the order would be placed and a phone call on the next business day advising of an ETA for said product. I called on MONDAY for an update and to double check that the order had infact been placed. I was told a phone call would be returned. NO PHONE CALL. I called back on TUESDAY to ask if the order had been placed and when would I likely see the product, explained that I was not called back on Monday and that I was happy to hold, phone cut out to which I returned the call and asked for an update. I was told that I would get a phone call back before COB. NO PHONE CALL BACK I called Wednesday to ask when product would be in store, "You will be called when the warehouse gets the product" was the abrupt reply, I asked if I could get an ETA, "when it gets here usually around 2 weeks", I walked into a Mitre 10 and low and behold here is the product that I had ordered from "The Good Guys" I rang and asked that if I could not be given an ETA I would like a credit because I would not like to wait usually around 2 weeks for a product. We don't give credits over the phone, I asked that the Manager call me.......... NO PHONE CALL BACK

The worst Customer Service I faced ever in Australia that too in a big brand like The Good Guys, Taylors Lake ! First by the time we went there to buy a Microwave, a guy was serving other customer and he never returned. We approached another guy and he said I only serve customers for Computers and asked me to wait for another staff, didn't offer any sort of help or not even called out anyone for help. I then went to the Front Desk to ask for help and they said to wait and I said I've been waiting for 10 minutes already, then they call out the same guy who first served a customer and never returned. He walked passed us after sorting out few boxes and when we asked for help, he said sorry I am in admin role and won't be able to help you. I was like you just helped some other customer and not me , to which he said no I am an admin. I went to front desk again and they sent the same person who refused to help. I didn't want to buy from them but my friend needed the Microwave so he bought one and at the counter they just talking even while serving us. This store needs to totally replace all the staff. I understand sometimes they may be busy but not on the 01/12/2022 7.30 PM. Literally we were the only customers that time and had about 6 staff and none of them wanted to offer help.

If I could give this place 0 I would. Brought a Hisense TV from these guys and after about a year we started having issues with the TV as it would turn on and off without reason and apps would crash. Called them 3 times and they told us someone will come out and have a look. Nobody came and we finally gave up and went in store and asked what is happening. We agreed that the TV would not be replaced and we are happy to add in extra money to upgrade and would return the faulty TV. New TV was ordered and after 1 month the TV was finally in stock and delivery was organised for this Monday. Two delivery drivers arrived at our home without the new TV and were asking for the faulty one. We declined as we wanted our new TV and they told us they would come back later in the afternoon. Nobody showed up to our home. After multiple calls someone told us oh there was a mix up and now delivery would have to be rebooked. We were told someone will call us and delivery will be on Tuesday. Nobody called us until Wednesday and we were told someone will be here today. Nobody showed up again to our home. We have been promised deliveries for 3 days in a row now and will be asking for a full refund if the TV does not arrive tomorrow. Absolute joke

Terrible service. I went in today with my wife (10 August 2018) with a whole list of appliances we were looking to purchase for our new home. It took a good 15 minutes before we were even greeted and offered assistance. Finally, when we did receive acknowledgement, the salesman was thoroughly uninterested and lacking in energy, it seemed. We had to direct him around the store. He offered no product knowledge, did not know what products they even offered and required us to pull out the exact model number for him before he even knew what we were talking about. This went on repeatedly for every product. He also came back with a quote that was not satisfactory for the sheer amount of appliances we were looking to purchase. Half of the items were also not in stock. Finally, when we asked for a breakdown of the pricing offers he had, he told us he could not give us the information as it came as a 'bundle' price. We got into the car, drove around to Harvey Norman where we received exceptional service, great product knowledge, fully stocked range and also beat TGG's prices significantly.

As others have commented, I found Customer Service to be very poor in this particular store. The Woman at the front desk could hardly bother to lift her head, let alone raise a smile. No please or thankyou either. It's not even as if they were busy as I was the only customer! I was then told to drive around the back to collect my soundbar...For a 3kg soundbar? It's not like a large item like a tv or a fridge. When I arrived at the warehouse entrance, the store man was very helpful but then, incredibly, proceeded to pick the soundbar from inside the store! When I asked why I was told to drive all the way round to the warehouse entrance I was then told by the same woman from earlier that there was no one to pick it. Ridiculous. To be fair, I have had very positive experiences with Goodguys at other locations with the customer service excellent. However, I will not buy from this store again & some of the staff sadly lets down the repuatation of Goodguys.

Purchased appliances recently fridge , microwave etc. I needed a fridge on the day and told the salesman. When making the payment just before closing time , the lady taking my payment says collection is around the back , however I can't get theses items now because I'm too late! I don't have a car so I want to arrange delivery... Well thats too hard too! This lady just wanted to push me out of the store. Doesn't tell me what I need to do about collecting my items the next day, I call today to have my items delivered and I need to go back to the store ??!! I can't pay the delivery fee over the phone no .. that would be easy ! I have to go back instore to settle my account FFS . Worst experience I've ever had , and I certainly wouldn't buy from them again. My family often make purchases at that store but I'll be telling them to make purchases with their competitor! Day 2 I haven't got my appliances yet !

If I could give this store no stars I would, been here on 2 occasions in a year 1st time wouldn't beat or price match of another store for a toaster I thought "Pay cash & we slash the prices!" so I say fine i'll buy it then she says we've got none left so I say ok can I have a discount on the display model since it has scratches & dint's on it & she says No it's not our last one were getting some in so I ask when? & she says in about 3 weeks so I say it is your last one. 2nd time I buy Kettle coz it was the only place that had the same one & when I pay "They don't give bags anymore" If I had known that I wouldn't have bought it what am I gonna carry a toaster around with their Giant A4 Sized receipt, You're better off going to Harvey Norman across the road instead of wasting your time with these fools.

Worst Customer service ever..... The first lady who greeted me was quite helpful. I wanted to buy a Dyson Grooming Kit. RRP $89. I asked if you guys do price match and they said yes of course, Then she calls the senior store person.... Who said we can price match... Showed them harvey Norman website with same item at $49. Suddenly his demeanour changed and just rudely told me he can't price match and website is wrong (seriously in today's world with smart phones, you accuse website is wrong) and wouldn't even ask his manager. Just In plain term told me "IT'S NOT HAPPENING" Sorry good guys you keep sending me invites for VIP sales....But I guess your store is not HAPPENING any more..... I would have paid the price difference but a bit better customer service would have been appreciated.....

Making fun of customers and laughing at them is so unprofessional. Also when the price drops by close to 40% within days of purchase, and your own sales people say it should be possible to get paid back the difference, then the store manager rejects this, then it is obvious to me that there is a discrimantory approach to whom you provide the decent service. So disgusting that you get told this is the policy, when everyone knows it has always been practiced in all respectful decent businesses to be nice to customers rather than be opportunistic, and make use of the fact that we were fooled into trusting a big name like The Good Guys. Shame on you! Unfortunately we had bought most of our home appliances from this store along the years - Never ever again.

I have always went here bought washing machine, fridge,tv,stereo and air con. Last week I rang about buying a new washing machine and I couldn't belive the extremely extremely rude uncooperative sales person I spoke to, I've bought so much from them.wasnt offered discount he was that rude he had me in tears. If he don't want his job I'll have it.they say with this covid stuff, give our sales staff a break and treat them with curiosity and respect. Well that works both ways, and he lost a $700 sale. I went instead to Essendon and was a tottaly different experience. So they got my sale. Extremely extremely disappointed. I hope management read this I haven't had that sort of unhelpful rude treatment.. he was no nice guy/Good guy at all.

As a lazy person who hates cleaning, I am totally in love with the Bissel Cross Wave Cordless Max! It vacuums and mops at the same time, cutting down the time spent keeping our hardwood floors looking amazing. Ive also used it on the tiles in the wet areas and it works fantastically well there too. Its really easy to use with the cleaning solution and I was horrified when I saw the water in the dirty chamber. Its great as the clean water and dirty water are kept separate and the self clean function takes care of the roller mop.I can do the whole house using the large area markings on the clean water compartment and the battery lasts the whole time too, about 30 minutes all up for me. Extremely satisfied and highly recommended

If I could give a 0 star review I would. I spoke on the phone to one of their store representatives if I remember correctly their name was Freddie. I received a black fridge that has a clear permanent stain from the sticker that was there and they persisted that it was just glue and would come off with a clean. I explained this was not the case and is damage to the paint from the sticker. The person said give it a few weeks to let it fade. of course this would mean I wouldn’t be able to return the product within the 7 days or whatever policy it is under. The worse and rudest retailer I have ever encountered that spoke over me when trying to explain. Never purchasing a product from here again.

Bought myself a dishwasher on friday and then came back on monday to buy fridge and another dishwasher for my dad. There was a sale over the weekend where all products were 15% off, and on sunday night i had major difficulty buying the fridge and second dishwasher due to the high customer volume online. When i went into store i spoke with the lovely Domenic and Ethan and they honoured the 15% discount we missed out on on friday AND gave us the best price they could for the fridge and second dishwasher we couldn’t buy online. We ended up getting a better price for everything by going into store than buying online through the sale! Safe to say we’ll be back for the rest of our appliances!

The Good Guys are not called that for nothing. The Good Guys Taylors Lakes VIC takes it to the next level with warm personal customer service. The moment I stepped into the shop, I was warmly welcomed and was given exactly what I was after (a toaster of specific colour). It was so quick, I asked for a coffee/nut/spices grinder too. The shop attendant was very helpful and quickly found me the best for my needs. All shopping took me 10 minutes! The cashier was smiling and very friendly too. I thanked both ladies saying that with lockdowns I felt depressed, but the ladies made my day! From now on Taylors Lakes shop is my favourite!❤

Olivia is a wonderful employee. She helped direct me to the right person(tech) who was a friendly man but more interested in porting me to telstra than helping me with what I actually needed. Olivia then served me and followed up how I went with my querie. I told her I didn't really get much help and she apologised and told me that she could assist me and she did. The best thing she did for me was to ask, and be genuinely interested in helping me. Even though I couldnt find what I was looking for, I made other purchases because of her great customer service and warming smile. She is an asset.

Found a vacuum on specials, went there to get one. It was in stock until they were selling at wrong price. However, once I told them that such a product is retailed for $197 at their own website (not $399), they suddenly went low on stock. Last time, I bought laptop from the same store the one that was on display as it was the last unit available. However, at this time they just can't sell the last display unit. Bunch of liars sitting there in store. I would recommend the store manager to go Coles to learn some customer service skills from the kids working there.

Do not buy anything from this store. Customer service is terrible. Tried to return faulty product but store manager told me as far as he was concerned there was no fault. Assistant manager claimed because we had not reviewed the product we were to blame for not being aware of any issues with this model. They refused to give us a refund. Took product to another store who refunded us instantly. Turns out it is a common fault. When I rang the store in Taylor’s Lake to advise the manager he told me that it was not a fault he had heard of and brushed me off

THE BAD GUYS!! Highly disappointed with this visit, especially from the assistance in the TV's area. The store is clean and well-lit, but the only person who seemed to be doing their job was the security guard at the door. I mean, it was even him who said "Hi" to us when we walked in. Getting service was an absolute disaster, and even while paying for our item (which we decided to buy without ANY help by the way), the customer next to us was being screwed over by the staff member serving him who apparently "couldn't find" his order. Hmm!!! 2 stars.

It was my first time visiting Watergardens good guys and I’m never coming back again, even though it’s so much closer to my house. Blonde, older, lady who served us was so rude and just seemed like she hates her job. She couldn’t be bothered helping us with questions and kept walking away like she was busy....there was no one else in store. Stop calljng me “darls” while being rude and unhelpful and it’s so annoying. I left this store and drove to highpoint and got totally different experience and I spent $3000 on what I needed. Never coming back.

Wish I could give zero stars. Terrible service from the moment we walked in. Staff had zero product knowledge or even knowledge of their computer system. Two of three products I wished to buy were out of stock, despite one being advertised in their catalogue. The other product I ordered to be delivered and installed- it never showed up. When I called to follow up, it was blamed on a computer glitch. Went elsewhere and purchased all the products I wanted with immediate delivery and no hassles. Won't shop at The Good Guys again.

I wish i read reviews before i visited Taylors Lake store. If you don't improve your customer service i can not see your store last long. I been three times in this store to purchase fridge filter. I was coming with fridge model number, every time after long waiting i end up with wrong filter. I've been coming back, never get apology. Today, i came to exchange, for third time but lady on front counter was very rude. I was so happy to get refund. I can confidenly say that this store will never see me again.

Quick to sell conierge after support, until you need it and you get no support whatsover. Rip off concierge. Had problems with our dyson, after 6 weeks still no dyson. Got the runaround, no communication, no one knows whats happening. Dyson sent me the report and stated it was a fault, not due to misuse. Guess what, concierge refused to fix it.. What a joke. $150 for the warranty down the drain. I feel i have been stitched. Neve will buy from the Good Guys again. Never had issues with Harvey Norman.

The lady who was on the floor was fantastic. The lady at the register was woeful. They just lost a $4500 sale - despite the fact we had every bit of identification they required, because one of the bills did not have my first name on it they would not accept that, then proceeded to go through as if the transaction was about to happen and then said no we can’t do it without your first name on that bill. Thank you for wasting an hour of my time, looks like I’ll be going to Harvey Norman from now on.

Absolutely amazing customer service, this was the 4th place we had been to for the day, and it was the only one to listen to what we needed and give correct advise! Sunbury only offered help when we made accidental eye contact, then wanted to sell us something that wasn't in our scope and other shops didn't even ask if we wanted help. So we were super happy with the older lady's assistance (didn't get her name other than nanny unfortunately). Definitely recommend. Well worth the travel.

Don't buy the Silver Westinghouse Microwave, 40 litre. It sounds like it's vibrating. A heavy sound. They took it back today only by goodwill but are putting it back on the shelf. Middle aged lady at front counter has an attitude problem and needs training with her people skills. Manager showed empathy and took Microwave back. Other staff member on the floor said you should see how it is handled. That was after they agreed to take it back. She let the cat out of the bag.

We ordered a product from this store and was expecting it to be delivered to the nominated address from 7am to 10am today, 9th July. However till 1.30pm, the driver has still not arrived. After calling and being transferred for a few times, finally we spoke to an admin officer, who told us the product would arrive in another hour! It is truly a terrible experience and very disappointing! I suggest everyone to think twice if you'd like to order a delivery from this store.

Placed a click and collect with this store. Daughter was hospitalised and I am her authorised carer. This store REFUSED to allow my husband with the same surname and address to come and pick up a $40 item. Talk about making a difficult situation worse. I was advised due to the fact it was a paypal purchase they couldn't allow another person to pickup, however she COULD cancel the order over the phone on the spot without even confirming any of my other details.

I paid extra for their Concierge Service, but never received any vouchers as promised. When I followed up I was told to go onto the online chat for assistance. The online customer service was pretty much non existent with an agent that didn't want to try and resolve the issue, and didn't seem interested to help with this problem. This concierge program is not worth the money you spend, nor the time wasted when you have to contact their customer service team.

Brought a New Oven 24/5 2022 Rang Glen Dimplex stayed on the phone half hour they cut me off. Rang The Good guys Taylors Lakes not picking up phone went down there they wrote a report rang me and said we haven't any body to fix your oven they put me on some other repairer came over to try to fix it still having problems. GLEN DIMPLEX and THE GOOD GUYS not good enough i will not come to this store Still waiting for the good guys to pick up our broken oven.

Absolutely no service, came in on a Saturday morning wanting to buy a new oven and cook top, waited 30 minutes and didn't even see anyone to approach to get some service let alone be I ng approached. Gave them the beneof the doubt went away for a coffee came back about 40 minutes thinking mYbe staff where running late or started a hour after store opened, waited another 20 minutes with same story didn't even see a staff member to approach for service

I was in lockdown, ordered over the phone, Dawn was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was extremely helpful, and made my purchase a pleasure. She is great with people, keeps you updated and informed. I hope she is recognised for her value to the business. I didn't even bother shopping around as she was so great with her customer skills. Next day delivery my @$$. Need to wait a month for delivery. Then after paying for installation via good guys home service, the installer asks for more cash, even though the terms and condition say the installation price is already over quoted to cover extras and to not pay the installer anything in person. But then when I ask for help good guys don't know what to do. So good guys have effectively taken my cash and delivered nothing in return

Worst shopping experience ever! We came in to return a printer (which was still under warranty), and made it to be shipped to the company to be repaired. We spoke to the manager about the issue, but he became irate and would always talk back to whatever we had to say. People at the front desk are also very rude! When speaking to the manager, I noticed the girl at the front desk roll her eyes thinking that we were in the wrong. Not happy!

The good guys isn't good anymore! Long ago I came here and range of cameras and phones was good but no more. Customers service is good but they pay attention to one customer and 5 are waiting until that customer will be pleased enough. They will lose customers in such way! You can't spend hour for one customer until other will leave the shop! It isn't the way how business works! I even don't know why I need to go to this shop anymore!

We bought a brand new fridge and paid for delivery, but the model we wanted was on order and due to be in stock in 2 weeks. We called them after 2 weeks and were told we would have to wait another 2 weeks. We heard nothing, so called again after 2 weeks and were told that the fridge was there waiting for us, and had been for just short of 2 weeks! Poor communication and poor service, would not shop there again.

Went there to pick 2 online order tablet. The lady serving me need massive training on customer service. Both tablet original box were opened. I asked her to give me unopened box and she instantly replied I will do refund for you. I asked to speak to her manager, manager was polite and helpful as he put my order on backorder. Will have to travel again. Hope the same lady will not be servicing me.

In this $hit-show we are in, a big shout to our local Good Guys store at Watergardens. Mum and dads fridge packed it in, it took one phone call with Brodie there to get a few options, get advice, organise payment, and they were ready to deliver the following day, install everything and take the old fridge and all the packaging mess with them. Well done Brodie. Fabulous service.

Waited 45 minutes for some help after asking a couple of workers. No one came. One worker just stood at the computer , I told him I needed a couple of things and he still didn’t come so left after another 20 minutes. Going to another good guys to spend my money there. This has happened a few times so we won’t be going back. Very very poor service. Would give zero stars if I could.

This team helped me sort through a replacement computer for my son today they searched up the computer spoke to the replacement team contacted a store closer to my house and then let me know when it was all done. Been calling all day for an order that was scheduled to arrive Saturday. They picked up once, put us on hold for over 10 minutes with no answer (took us off hold for a few minutes so we could hear them having a casual conversation with eachother). This is an order over $600 and now we just want a refund. Absolutely the worst customer service my family and I have dealt with.

I just went in to see if they could fix my food saver, as it wasn't vacuuming in properly. As it turns out, I've been using it wrong all the time. The guy help me go through the steps on using it properly. A bit suspicious still, I went home and tried it. Yep, I've been using it wrong. Thanks to the old man who helped me out with the issue. Issue with user, not product. :)

I wasted my time totally ! The delivery services is horrible. My order didn’t come to the day and time scheduled, THE STAFF DO NOT ANSWER THE CALLS AND WHEN THEY DO IT THEY HANG UP THE CALLS, you cannot get a answer or solution, and they make you waste even more your time because I had to go to the store to get any information about my delivery. I DON’T RECOMMENDED THEM !

His customer service skills are impeccable and to say the least gives a honest and affordable opinion and makes shopping for new products a fulfilling experience. Went there to buy coffee beans n tiny accessories, the cashier asked if I were served by floor staff to get a docket and pay here. I’m not gonna wait there for god knows how long to get served on floor, not for damn coffee beans where I can get and pay right away at supermarket. This is a joke! Large or high value items I understand, but not for miscellaneous goods.

I feel very let down and lied to. Ordered a fridge for my son in November, paid deposit, and ordered for delivery in January. No problems they said. Except in December when I go to finalise payment they say there is no fridge and don't know when they can get one. I was assured initially that they had one in stock. The care factor was 0. Noteven an apology.

Store is in a great location with ample parking. Limited products on display due to the floor size of the store. If you know what you're looking for they will price match any competitor even Amazon. I always buy from Amazon due to their amazing no question asked return policy but on this occasion they beat Amazons price so purchased from here instead.

Great experience! Was purchasing a dishwasher, found the item cheaper elsewhere, the good guys matched it and did us a further 10%. Went to good guys to buy a microwave oven. Was greeted with a large range of appliances and a friendly sales assistant who had a good knowledge of each appliance. After making my choice he did a good deal on the price and carried the purchase to my car. It was very good service, especially for an old bloke like me with a bad back !!

Recently I bought Bosch glass cooktop and It was short of supply everywhere in vic and preorder based. Wait time was more than 4 months . Quick in and quick out. I went in to look at air conditioners. Not a large selection and nothing that suited what I was looking for. The search continues... it would be nice if there was more staff available to help. It was a quick in and out as nobody was available to answer all my questions and therefore I didn't wait around.

Waited patiently for a good 15-20mins for someone to free up to assist with products I wanted to purchase & crickets. It would get 5 stars except that every time I try to return something that's faulty I get a hard time from the older short girl who thinks she knows everything even though I spent many years in major electrical. She is quite rude and doesn't do the store's reputation any good. Why they keep her on is beyond me.

Got a little over-eager and mistook a full bladder for desperation and tried to sell me a washing machine I didn't actually need because the one I wanted wasn't in store at the moment. Succeeded in losing that sale PLUS the matching dryer I was planning to buy next month. Good Guys' loss is JB's gain, I guess.

Place is mediocre. Didn't seem particularly busy but were obviously too busy to even see if we wanted to buy anything. But don't be disheartened because we went somewhere else and they weren't interested in serving us either. I guess we don't look young or hip enough for the predominantly young staff.

Great service and great workers. Knowledgeable in their field of work and know what appliances they sell and they never rip you off. Highly recommend this place. Delivery may take a while but that's all now due to covid and the amount of deliveries they have to make since it has increased.

The young ladies at the counter could act more interested, i had to do the fact checking on my own and ring the Geelong store. Who informed me of price difference. On a separate occasion , the guys in computer section were helpful, answered questions and also gave some helpful advice.

I was wanting to get a copy of invoice for a previous purchase and served by Hayley at this store. She was rude and seemed to make up rules all of her own, for what reason confuses me. I'm not sure about other staff, but Hayley made it unnecessarily difficult and unpleasant.

They have some awesome sales and they will negotiate on price ad well. Don't be afraid to haggle. Know what others are selling their products for and compare. They will always meet and beat a competitors price. I always walk across the road and compare with JB hi fi.
