We first met Ash 5 years ago. We needed a toilet replaced in a 1930’s home and he was the only person who was willing to even quote on the job. He turned up within 24 hours of us reaching out, quoted giving us both a straightforward set of options and an honest recommendation. Having gone with his recommendation we sourced the replacement toilet and Ash and his workmate turned up as promised; only to find that our toilet once unboxed was broken in half. He took this in his stride and worked with us to get a replacement delivered and installed the same day. The installation was to an amazing standard and the area was left spotless. Fast forward 5 years and our hot water service was playing up in mid-winter. One message and two hours later he was at our home to assess the situation. Again he gave us an open and honest assessment, a clear set of options and his recommendation. He identified the root cause of the problem which meant we now have a solution in place that will last for the long term. Someone once said to me that a proper tradesperson is three things: a problem solver, someone who does the right job, and someone who does the job right. Ash is all three in spades and we would highly recommend him; without a doubt he is certainly who we will continue to go to with our plumbing needs.

A very nice and knowledgeable plumber who charges reasonable prices and communicates well! Last year, I was trying to get laundry taps installed in my older 1 bedroom apartment which only had a communal laundry. I first called another local plumber, who came over and told me I would only be able to have a cold tap, then left and never sent me a quote. I waited for weeks and followed up with him, but he never sent me anything. Then I called Ash, who came and told me I could have both hot and cold taps! And he sent me a quote of only $700 for the entire installation, including replacing my kitchen tap washers. He did all the work (of which there was a lot) efficiently, fixed some other plumbing issues in the kitchen and helped me install my washer and dryer. This year, I called him again because my bathroom tap was dripping, but it was just a silly issue he resolved by opening the taps fully and closing them again. He didn't even charge me for a call out fee, just said it was free. I think most plumbers would still charge a fee for a minor issue like that, but he's nice and does the right thing for people.

I initially called Ash to come out to quote me up for some plumbing work to be done on my roof as part of my renovation and after meeting with him, ended up giving him the full job for the whole plumbing work that needed to be done. My renovation entailed of the Kitchen & Bathroom moving to different spots and adding a completely new bathroom and laundry - the size of the job did not phase Ash. He came out when he said he would, the quote came back in a timely manner and the pricing was more than reasonable. All the work outlined was what was done and there were no loopholes or exclusions that you may come across from others. Ash and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with and I am extremely satisfied with the work - I know how found my plumber for all jobs - big or small - moving forward. Thanks Ash!

After reading the positive reviews of The People’s Plumber and visiting their Web Page I thought they were worth trying. I needed a hot water heater replacement and kitchen re plumbing. Ashley did a first class job, the sort of job I would do if I was able.. work boots removed at the door, quick but extremely thorough, the finished work was perfect and completed by a happy and enthusiastic trades person. I contacted Ash on Thursday late afternoon, as there was another plumber on the job and they couldn't complete the job in time, as we had tenants moving in on Sunday. He came in at 8am on Friday morning (public holiday) and completed the job without any hassels. I highly recommend Ash and the people's plumbers very highly.
