if i could give zero stars i really would. i went to this place last night for my friends birthday and most of them have frequented this place before and are white. i wasn’t drinking except for water which was being exclusively served at a station near the entrance in red solo cups. i ended wanting to step out to speak with a family member very briefly who lives in nyc (where i am from) as it was a good to do so. i was going to just stand outside to speak with my mom and i had the cup of water in my hand and as i was on my way out one of the security aggressively told me that i couldn’t take the cup out of the venue. i tried explaining and showing him that it was merely the water that was being served at the stations and he started yelling at me and eventually snatched the cup out of my hand. i ended up going to the 7-11 next door to talk with her for about 15 minutes and when i tried to go inside the same security guy started insisted that i was giving him attitude which he didn’t appreciate especially because he had let me and all of my friends in for free. i was very confused why he was speaking to me in a condescending manner and at that point i really was not trying to argue with him as i just wanted to get back inside so i could find my friends so tried to apologize and that is when he refused to let me in unless my friends could let me back in. and then he said with a smileish smirk on his face “you need to take 5 minutes to think about how you are acting”. tut was around 1:30 in the morning and this man told me to wait in the street by myself on a saturday night after acknowledging that he knew all of my friends were inside. for me as a black girl who has never been to sydney and never received treatment like this at most other clubs in australia that i have been to. it was the most racist and derogatory experience i have had hear which left me crying in the street alone with all of my friends. i wish that i got this man’s name or even snapped a picture of his face but even during this conversation there were about three other people who witnessed my second interaction with him and offered me no help at all. there weren’t that many people inside and no people waiting on line at the time of my interaction as well. especially for it being my first night in sydney this place is truly the absolute worse and no one deserves to discriminated against like this

Decent club for the area with average priced drinks, good barstaff and setup although it can get a bit crowded. The first time I went to go to this club with my friends the security denied me entry for not following the dress etiquette as I wasn’t wearing “dress shorts”, so naturally me and my friends walked, second time I went in with long pants and saw a ton of guys wearing boardshorts, sport shorts etc. So a little inconsistent and feeling a bit cheated. Also that night I had a Bondi lines deal for the club that included a line skip and when displayed to the manager outside we still had to wait in the line, ridiculous considering it was 9:30 and it was nowhere full. Dance floor was pretty gross, covered in liquid and sticky, and despite the ongoing mess the foam cannons were pretty nice touch to the place. Also a few weirdos harassing girls on the dance floor happened twice. Also the DJ that night (chumpion) had a pretty average set and vibe and towards the end of the night some of the crowd started to get pushy. Still a unique experience with the scary jar and all their different events so would defo give it another shot. 3/5 I would recommend.
The blonde female bouncer has the most inflated ego and is on an insane power trip. Both times I have been there she was extremely disrespectful to my friends and I. The first time we got kicked out it was due to being “too intoxicated” all because I didn’t want to take a shot We approached the bouncers after getting kicked out to ask why and before we can even get a word out (we genuinely didn’t say anything) they said “get out of here you have an attitude”. The second time, my friend was in tears because we believed her phone was stolen. Weirdly, the female bouncer was just holding it in her hand like it was hers, refused to give it back to us, and when she finally did, continued to verbally abuse my friend that had lost her phone (making her cry even more) even though we were so gracious. She then proceeded to kick us out. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The blonde female bouncer has actually got to go she is the worst person I have ever met. Your bar is not nearly fun enough to be doin allllll that. YOURE NOT HER
I've been here twice and both times have been singled out by a bouncer within the bar to go outside and be interviewed by the manager for showing signs of intoxication? The first time I'd had one drink, the second I hadn't even finished my first drink. I asked the bouncer the second time what it was about me and he said he'd been watching me for 10 minutes and I looked spaced out coming back from the bathroom? But I just walked normally back to my group of friends and joined back in the conversation? Starting to wonder if they heard an Irish accent both times and assumed I was drunk. At least I didn't get kicked out when sober, which is what I've seen from some of the other reviews, but it was really unpleasant being brought outside the venue when showing absolutely no signs of intoxication. Also, I've never been reprimanded anywhere else for how I walk/look.
Such a joke of a night club! The DJ, a blonde surfer looking dude, has such an ego on him despite the fact he didn't mix at all and only played a pre-recorded set, which included Christmas songs may I add (cringey af in September), he shouted at staff and customers while looking like a complete tool. The bouncers were looking to kick people out which would be doing them a favour considering the drinks are watered down and overpriced! This place is a good starter club for those who have literally never been anywhere else, or have never seen a decent DJ, would not recommend to people who wanted to visit the club for the worst club documentary, as that would simply be a compliment to this abysmal establishment! Owners, I know it works for you, but for the sake of good business start over and get a DJ who knows their way around the decks! For the love of Christ!
Don't go here unless you want to be thrown out for no reason. Rude and condescending security guards single girls out of the crowd to literally drag them out onto the street by themselves after being wrongly accused of doing something wrong. When trying to reason with them they speak to you like you're dirt and provide condescending apologies. They assume girls are too drunk to realise how poorly the staff handle these situations and refuse to admit to their own stuff ups to protect their ego. Edit: we were asked to leave prior to the argument out the front of the venue (or grabbed and dragged out rather). And management definitely did not offer to organise any transport to get home. All they offered was "please move along off the footpath" while we already had transport organised 5 mins away.
I went to this establishment for the first time last week. lets start at the ridiculously long line, for which I still don't understand because I don't know why anyone would want to be there. due to the LONG wait my standards were high, but I was sorely mistaken. the club is tiny and disgusting. my long wait outside also resulted in complete soberness per my entry, so I headed to the bar. the bar had maximum 3 people working behind it. the line or should I say agglomeration of individuals waiting for a drink was being purely held up by a man making the drinks trying to impress everyone with his bottle tricks. just make the drinks and move on ok you're not cool. will NEVER be returning to this place. unless they fire him. he completely ruined my night.
I Love scary canary! However, on Saturday night, Lachlan (the manager) didn’t let us in for our tickets that we bought which were entry before 12pm. We were queuing up from 11:30 despite us arriving at the entrance before 12. It was our friends birthday so we were highly disappointed, as Lachlan was very stressed and not understanding from before we got there. We tried to explain that we got there before 12 but he was highly not supportive and not understanding listening to us whatsoever. Pppr management form our understanding an d our fireman’s 20th birthday was ruined. We were happy to discuss, but Lachlan’s was too stressed out to even speak to us. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and we will be back soon.
The audacity of this once fine establishment to claim they follow a "City of Sydney Dress Code" (please confirm Clover) when they are hosting a silent-disco is, frankly, quite laughable. Sevs, Universal, ivy, home the venue, Civic, The Flinders, Sheaf, Arq, Cargo, revived kings cross venues, and literally all the other Sydney live music venues that carry some musical and cultural significance have been completely satisfied with shorts, of any kind, for the past nine years. In the midst of a beautiful Australian summer, on a bloody Tuesday; really, really off this. Look forward to hearing back. Still gets two stars because the place can actually be heaps of fun.
Would not recommend if your looking for good music good food and great service. This venue will provide with 2 out 3 experience out of those 3 individual skills. Plus seen that the event manager was looking for fresh talented DJs for there establishment then event manager proceeded to tell me that pyrmont is too far from Sussex Street in the city but is willing to book independent DJs from newcsatle. Just know if this what this business support I will not support business owners who play favourites. Just know Ben I will expose you all your coke sniffing friends

Seems odd. I was there to meet up with some 2 guy friends at 11:30pm. I arrived a little early so I went in first. The security guard was very polite with me and even cracked a joke. 2 of my male friends arrived at 11:40pm and lined up to go inside. They were however refused entry with a lame reason saying they were not dressed appropriately. They were dressed the same as every other guy in the club. I thought that was just bull and left the club immediately. Plenty of other clubs in Sydney. Have to say, the crowd was mainly caucasian and my 2 friends were Indian. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
I love the Scary, I’ve had my fair share of outings here and always had a good time. However, tonight I came in with a group of my friends for a meal and possibly a few drinks and was immediately turned down by a staff member who informed us that they were closing in the next 40 minutes (which is fair enough). But I do not agree with his slyness and snarky comment on asking us if we’re having drinks and then telling us “you’ve had enough to drink, leave.” In his manor. Again, no problems with this place but I do not agree with this staff members attitude and I will certainly not come back on a Wednesday.
Doesn’t even deserve one star. There was a group of guys dancing next to me and friends and they kicked us out for apparently ‘vaping and smoking’ on the dance floor. They kicked out 3 other groups of girls for apparently vaping as well and no guys. Half the dance floor was smoking and vaping etc but they were picking out all the girls to kick out instead. There excuse was they there is a long line and other people who deserve to be in the club over us. Disgusting and abusive crew, me and my friend were worried they were going to start getting physical with us just for asking what we did wrong.
The manager is so unfriendly! They didn't let us in although we were well dressed and not drunk. We asked for a reason and they said they don't need one. Worst experience I have ever had in/at a club. We were polite and explained them the we are not looking for trouble, etc. But then the manager said they scanned our IDs and if we go on with talking they block us or something like that for other clubs. That is not a professional behaviour it's just rude and not fair. Make yourself a pleassure and don't go there. I am visiting Sydney for just 2 nights but that experience ruined the trip.
Worst bar I’ve ever been to. All of the security i encountered both in and outside the club were so rude to women it was disgusting. The RSA manager pulled me up for showing signs of intoxication when I only had 3 drinks and his reasoning was “my pupils were too dilated.” Not sure how that shows signs of intoxication because funny enough when you are in a dark environment your pupils do tend to get bigger so you are able to see. I feel sorry for anyone who spends their time or money here. Note: for the really rude security guard who was balding, Bondi boost goes a long way x
Had a late lunch there today with my Mum and girlfriend. Place was pretty close to the qvb but the food turned out to be something left to be desired. A few of the food items we asked for were unavailable at the time and what we got was pretty lackluster. The bacon was under cooked, the corn was overcooked, and the portion size of prawns was really small for the price, etc... The staff was fairly inattentive and impersonal. Was okay for a drink due to the okay atmosphere and decent music but that's about all they have going for them.
I was told to leave for signs of intoxication when I had like two drinks and I am making this review as I was kicked out literally minutes ago. I assume they lie to people and tell them that they need to be kicked out for signs of intoxication and other reasons when they’re closing up or anything else. Apparently the literally management kicked me out when I am not doing nothing that is a behaviour of someone intoxicated. terrible customer service I could make a half a dozen accounts and say this because I’m telling the truth
1 star is too generous tbh! The manager is an absolute joke, a few friends of mine decided to go there for a few drinks before going to an event at a different club, we hadn't drank anything before going there, we bought our first drink at the bar and sat down at a table, we were told to leave because we were 'too intoxicated'!!! We hadn't even had 2 sips of our drink and wasn't aloud to finish it! Talked to security outside and they agree that she was an idiot! Would never ever go there again, don't waste your money.
Would not recommend going here if you want to have a good time. Management was being very uncomfortable and utterly rude, and did not make us feel safe nor welcome in the Sydney nightlife. They do not care about their customers, from what we saw and experienced ourselves. Note: I did enter the venue, so it’s completely relevant, but I do not wanna elaborate in specific details on the night due to the fact that we all found the manager threatening and honestly scary, and would rather not have him contact us.
This is the most rude and horrific club in all of Sydney. The security staff were beyond inappropriate and intimidated girls whenever they felt like they were doing something wrong. I got asked to leave for no reason and was told it was for my own safety yet they left me on the street with no phone battery and no contact to any of my friends who were inside the club. The security would frequently remove girls, intimidate them and ask them to leave and find it funny. This club needs to be shut down.
The bouncers here are really aggressive. I was dragged out of the venue whilst 100% sober because the bouncer thought I rolled my eyes at him? I haven’t touched alcohol for years, and it felt like the bouncer kicked me out because he was bored. As I was walking out he kept aggressively pushing me in the back telling me to “walk faster” it felt really mean and abusive, I felt unsafe here and not because of other patrons but because of the staff! I would highly recommend steering clear of this place!
This is my go to place for Friday lunch when I feel like something greasy. This is because they have on their menu a Southern Fried Chicken Burger! And it's reasonably priced at $14. The one interesting thing to note is that there is a staff just after the entrance who will find you a table after you have ordered your meal. That could be because the place is quite popular and gets quite busy. As such I would recommend to get there early, otherwise it might be a while before your meal gets served.
It’s a nice venue; the drinks were good and it has a great atmosphere. However, the bartender that served me was incredibly rude, instead of waving his hands at me to try and gain my attention, he threw an ice cube at me, and when i asked him to repeat to me what he said, he repeated “don’t make me throw another ice cube at you”. He said all this with a serious face and a poor attitude that was rude and didn’t make me feel great. The attitude of the staff needs to be improved.
The worst place, would not take my explanation. Would not listen to me and what had happened with me and told my things getting fixed. A friend that I was taking to getting tol I was rude and discusting in terms of thing for and that another friend inside had her ID and her passport so needed to wait i till she came out, as soon as she came out got she got told she way rude and a Fuad and the friend she was waiting with also got attack by police and told to leave and do so now
My friend and I went to a single bar beforehand and was told by your bouncer that we "were done". Another bouncer said that they would talk to a manager about it but then twisted our conversation and outright denied us. I'm so disgusted by the way your bouncer staff acted towards us. It's no wonder I haven't been here for years. A nice reminder why. Fix it, because refusing people who can string coherent sentences together is just bad publicity and you deserve it. No thanks.
On the occasion of my husband's birthday, we wanted to dance a bit. we found this club. before entering, the security guard checked ID or driver's license and a stamp on hand. in the middle of the youth and us in their forties. I thought we would drink 1 drinks and we will come out but a nice surprise that a lovely young girl made me a photo and asked if we want to dance and so the event began. there was a great atmosphere. Next time we're in Sydney, we'll go dancing there.
Rude security. After paying the entrance fee, went out for a smoke they said it was okay but then they wouldn't let be back in. They said at first i didn't have a shirt on (that was required apparently their rules change whenever) and then i couldn't get in because i was drunk (had 2 beers). Lots of other men had the same problem that night. Some of us managed to go back in but most didn't. Also the security guards insde keep pushing people in a very crowded place
All around horrible place. No atmosphere. The music is out of date and garbage. The staff are slow with service and when they're not serving a customer they're too busy playing with each other while customers are waiting to be served. This includes the managers. I can say one nice thing though, most of the food there is decent, aside from the pizza, which is like cardboard. Just do yourself a favour and avoid this place. There's so many better options in Sydney!
3.5 score. Visited on a week night after work with friends. Wasn't to crowded, just stopped by for a couple of bevies before dinner. Friendly service from the bar team, quickly taking order and not to pricey. The ciders we wanted on tap wasn't available and very impressed regarding being asked if wanted ice ot not in pint glass for Coca-Cola, as this isn't something most venues will comment on. Plenty of seats and tables to sit at, we enjoyed ourselves.
Food was good. Staff were friendly and service was good. Ambience? Came during mid-week after work - it was a fairly chilled scene. Felt more like a pub than anything else. Weekends seems to go off though - a lot of younger crowds, girls dressed up and ready to get their dance on. After 12am though, same girls will be puking outside and wobbling their way home. Glad I'm over the clubbing scene. It does looks like a place to go if you're into it.
I went there recently with what ill admit were low expectations. However, my experience there was worse than i could have ever imagined. Within 30 seconds of being there the manager completely disrespected me and even told me the top i was wearing wasn't "flattering" to my body type. The line to the bar was long and agressive. And to completely top it off a RAT crawled into my stall while i was using the bathroom. Never going back again.
I went there last night and they treated me really bad. I accused me of being drunk at the door when I had no alcohol for the whole day. Security kept looking at me the whole night and I saw two security guys going inside female toilets for at least every 10 minutes. When I left security gave me a weird look. There was so many people there that could be possible intoxicated but they insisted to look at me that barely drink.
This place is scary alright, in all the worst ways. Security are a bunch of creeps, djs are trash, don’t go here unless you want to see your friends get groped by these weirdos. I don’t even know if this “scary jar” had alcohol, not very scary at all. Bartender are sketchy. The skinny blonde girl on the door was going for my man all night, I’m sure she manages the place? Revolting venue. If I could rate 0 stars I would
Bloke at the RSA check on Saturday night 29/04, big tough guy screaming at me in the line whilst I couldn’t hear a thing, qualified in nothing other than letting 18-25yrs into a club, well done (clap clap), bloke is a joke, rude, arrogant and none of my 20+ friends who attended that night will be returning. People out the front are meant to welcome people and make the owners money. The guys they have are drop kicks.
Didn’t expect much from the already embarrassing reviews but witnessed it first hand. Don’t waste your time. Absolutely shambolic security (mainly the ‘manager’). Wouldn’t let us in. Honesty the worst clubbing experience I’ve ever had. Would not recommend to anyone trying to have a good night. No logic and completely pathetic. Think they are doing a good job but completely ruining their already very poor reputation.
I was there last night & asked one of the bartender if you can do a blue jar with vodka (the blonde girl)but she straight away said No. Then what liquor do you put in, if its not vodka? Fine, I've requested one regular jar ;she add a liqueur no idea what was it and lemonade, blue curacao. How about the redbull on dash? You guys better give training to your staff about your beautiful signature how to do properly.
Always a nice vibe at this little bar and great value for money. Have come a few times after work and never been disappointed . The new food menu is fantastic too !! Had a chat with Ray and Ben on the door, they were lovely guys. Nice to see friendly security still exits around Sydney . Definitely recommend coming here

*Let me start off by saying I was let into this establishment* The manager Bailey picks and chooses who he wants let into this venue. Discriminatory? That’s for the people to decide. A lot of inconsistency out of you Bailey I’m disappointed and expect better. Have a nice life won’t see you again mate. (By the way the bouncers Ben, Ferg, and Mo were great dudes keep ‘em around.. baileys gotta go though.)
unreasonable manager would not let me and my girlfriends in after seeing us hold a sprite bottle which he thought was a drink. We were sober ready for a friends birthday event in the club which he split up. security was nice but manager had high ego and had to prove his power by being stand offish and pushy - also fashion advice get rid of the skinny jeans they look like they were sprayed on.
DJs were terrible and the Scary Jar drink they give you (after making you think it’s a deal) is literally just blue curaçao and ginger ale. Overall, terrible experience. The DJ also refused to play Bad Bunny (aka album of the year winner) all because he only liked jump music. Half the club was even asking for it. Don’t come here… go to Cargo, Ivy, Cliff Dive, or Side Bar instead
This backpacker bar is not a bad place to go if you like listening to top 40 / mainstream dance clubbing music. It was very crowded on the Saturday night that I came here, there was a small cover charge for me to get in but the drinks were relatively cheap. The crowd was mostly European tourists, with some Sydney locals mixed in too. The age group was pretty much 18 - 25's.
Pretty good atmosphere, can get too crowded. Drinks are ok priced, you can get $10 jars. It is a backpacker bar so it is next to a hostel. Really good fun on a Wednesday night. They do serve food, which is good price and is quite yummy. The staff are friendly in general, apart from the security. The music can be repetitive but they do play good tunes.
The security are so rude. Every time I went out for a cigarette they made me queue back up to get entry. When I actually left the venue I was chased down the street by security just to yell at me (I was leaving to go to another venue not because I was kicked out) . Honestly avoid, bar staff are lovely but security ruin the whole experience for you.
This bar is next to my English school. Wednesdays are very cheap between 4 and 6 pm. But then it goes up to more than double. The place is nice, big, it has pool tables, table soccer. Good bathrooms and a long bar. They serve well and the people who visit it are friendly. And if you sign up on their page they give you that free blue drink.
During the day, great food and laid back pub atmosphere. When night time comes, the dance floor and djs appear, and the best vibes in Sydney join it also. The bar staff are always dancing around enjoying themselves, and the other patrons are typically a unproblematic bunch (rare for a Sydney nightclub). Couldn’t recommend the place more.
13th December red DJ on silent disco night. Get rid of him. Was on his phone the whole time and wasn’t even trying to play good songs. Playing the worst songs. Everyone else agree’d. No one was on the red channel. Legit whole time on his phone and looked like he didn’t want to be there. Edit: 2 hours later, still on his phone not caring
They seem more than happy to let girls who are highly intoxicated in, yet a group of 3 guys no questions asked, no entry. manager clearly has a power trip and unfortunately would rather encourage drunk girls to go in a drink more than 3 guys go in for a drink. Bit of a shame have been going here for a while and things haven’t changed!
blonde woman security guard or whatever she was was incredibly rude to me, singled me out literally because of my shoes and i felt extremely judged, completely ruined my mood going into the club. i wasn’t loud/disrespectful or even drunk. do better and let people wear what they want. fyi the music sucked and felt like a year 6 disco.
When my DIABETIC friend brought it to the staff attention that he had been served a regular Coke instead of Zero as he ordered, they kicked us out for being difficult.

Dietary restrictions
they definitely dimt respect dietary restrictions.
Popped in for lunch and found the lunch menu fairly limited and unhealthy. Ordered the cheeseburgers but found the burgers swimming in sauce. Both sides of the burger was covered in mayo and mustard. Couldn’t taste anything but sauce. Attempted to scrape off the sauce. Disappointed overall and won’t be back for lunch in a hurry.
I’m now a Scary regular! Ended up going here a couple weeks ago for the first time and I have to say that I’m in love with the place! They offer great drinks including the famous scary jar which is my regular, plus $5 fireball if you’re a student before 12. Staff are super friendly and I’ve got to say I’ll continue coming back
Major improvements to the food and waiting staff would dramatically uplift this once iconic establishment. No matter how many times you tell a patron, a steak that is black and cannot be cut through with a steak knife is definitely not medium. Twice I have was given a very, very well done steak. Incredibly Unpalatable.
Silent disco was really cool! DJs had a good mix of music across the three different channels, drinks were cheap (but weak), and the bathrooms were in good shape. Door took a long time but that's due to the fair one in one out policy. Didn't see the bouncers do anything unprofessional as other reviewers have stated.
That was the worst club experience I've ever had in my life. The manager and bouncer were extremely rude and kicked us out for no reason. previously we paid a lot of money to get in. I don't recommend this dirty club to anyone

I have to many good things to say about this place. The atmosphere is immaculate, the security and bartenders were super nice, and the music was peak. Ive never had a club experience quite like scary’s so i think its more than worth your time whether its one stop on a club crawl or for the whole night. 10/10
I thought be nice if I had a visit to scary canary, then some security decided to pull timstar outside the club and confront timstar for being intoxicated of having so much fun on Tiktok live and vibing to the music, please improve your security.

Fun night out with decent drink specials, it was a shame I was charged full price half the time despite having the wristband for $5 drinks. Staff were friendly enough but if you need to have staff go into the female toilets I suggest employing some women. Men in the female bathrooms is just not it
The security guarda are scams, I got kicked back to the back of the line even I got my friends keeping me my spot on queue line and got kicked out once again for no reason. One of the rudest club service ever!!! Definitely joining another night club like Side bar, Ivy or Argyle rather than this.
Good bar with food, they have a good menu which is affordable and they always do happy hours or deals on alcoholic drinks. There is a nearby hostel so pretty much every night, especially the weekends, it's full of awesome travellers. It's a must visit if your want good food, drink and company.
Security guard with no.2 on his vest, after midnight on start of 10/11/22, threatened and assaulted me in line, quote “would you like me to smash your head in c***?” I am reporting matter to be with police as this man should not be in a role that is meant to protect and serve peoples safety.
The place is good but they should take into consideration some criteria when picking the Djs for the night. It’s a Saturday night and DJ is far from professional. I’m not speaking about the genre itself, but mixing was terrible, really. And you could tell from the crowd. Wouldn’t come back
Was here last weekend and came back on day 2 we enjoyed it that much! Happy hour is the bomb. Free pool during happy hour as well. Bartenders were great and the beer battered fries were nice. Be back again soon :) Also they did our face with abit of glitter for Mardi Gras. Good atmosphere
It's cool here. And their signature drink the scary jar tastes great. I'm not sure but I do believe that their drinks are watered down though from my last experience there. I had a lot to drink and somehow still felt totally fine. And I just don't think that's fair so I hope I'm wrong.
Paid $10 entry and had one drink before my phone died, walked across to the 7/11 for 10 minutes and had a bottle of water just to be told by the staff that I was too drunk on my way back in. Clearly just ejecting anyone that leaves to incur more entry fees. Horrible management.
Never went here, but a friend had his night ruined because the bouncers were kicking his friends out for being on their phones. What kind of sad, depressed bouncers must be hired by this bar for such ridiculous things to happen. Hopefully they can receive the therapy they need.
New security guard on the door always has a smile is greets everyone before scanning their ID. Bar staff look like they are having a good time while they are serving customers. It is a backpacker bar and the internationals know how to have a good time. 5/5 would recommend
Lost my passport in here and when I called up, guy immediately circulated a message to all staff, trying to find it for me. 5 mins later I get a call to state that they've kept my passport safe and it'll be ready for collection in the bar. Outstanding customer service
Do not ever go to this venue, there are completely unreasonable and unnecessary rules whereby you can’t leave for a cigarette and re-enter while the competition that you were a part of is ongoing. Rude, entitled, good for nothing staff all round. I hate this place.
One of the best nightclubs in Sydney! Have had so many fab nights out here - so many good deals on drinks, bar staff always having fun, and excellent managers and security who take care of their customers and make sure we get home safely! Highly recommend
Best place to go out for a night in Sydney, Good priced drinks, Great service, Amazing Dj, waited 1 hour to get in and it was worth the wait. Shout out to Blake and Sam, these blokes made sure every single person had a great night and a night to remember
Tom was great! best waiter ever, gave us good recommendations for food and drinks. Definitely recommend coming to talk to Tom. Deserves a raise/reward. Made our night.

I love the Canadian Club beer they make, absolute best in Sydney. Different days offers different promotion, and I love Sunday’s, 50c for a chicken wing? That’s an absolute bargain! Just a minute walk from Town Hall Station. Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm.
Scaries is the place that everyone talks about. Great staff, impeccable service, trendy events run every night, plus the amazing cheap thrills the bar and bistro offers. All this with great prices! So give them a shout, Trust me you won't regret it.
Nice Pub in the day which turn into a Club each night. The food is quite good and they have their home made Jars which are fun to try. That's true that there is a lot of backpackers from the hostel next to the bar, but it's part of the fun place...
Bar staff lovely but bouncers are extremely rude and ignorant. I’ve worked for 7+ years in a similar position and I found their attitude towards customers extremely unprofessional and rude. Will not be back nor will be telling others to go here.
the worst experience i’ve ever had at a club. Security were policing people on their phones as they were getting women to strip down infront of a full audience and promising them money. Never felt so u comfortable in a club would not recommend.
I have been there on a Friday for a late lunch break. The place looks ok, the music is nice and the $10 steins are awesome. However, the steak with veggies is not very special but still does the job for the price and for a pub dish.
Quaint pub with extremely pleasant staff! The food was good, and is a good place to just hang out with people. There was some misunderstanding on my order (misheard Bolognese with Burger) but they handled it really well and quick!
Scary definately describes this 'club' perfectly....typical questionables that hang around these type of places everywhere. Take my advice and don't bother if you want class.

Security kicked me out because, “I was swaying to much”. I asked to be breath tested because I was sober and am the designated diver. I still got kicked out on the street alone and had to gone home leaving me mates.
The live music is pretty good, however the bartenders are told to serve 3/4 of ice in pints and the nips are not full either.

The venue has music so loud that you cannot hear anything at all, went for a pub crawl but I felt the drinks were very weak and watered down. Don't really recommend coming here to be honest.
Great place to spend a night out! Bartenders are friendly. Security are very helpful and the managers are great at their job. Special shoutout to Emma for helping us out last night!
Wish i could rate 0 star, they are one of the worst bar in Sydney ( or should i say i universe). They deserve to be shut down

Security flirt with women who are in club and if that girl start dancing with you..!! Then with no reason you will be kicked out..!! Bloody racisist and womeniser security
Be sure to try a scary jar when you drink at Scary canary - It’s absolutely amazing! The team is always in a good mood and makes a good atmosphere. I would go back again.

Staff is absolutely amazing. So friendly and they‘re having so much fun behind the bar. They enjoyed to work there so I enjoyed to get drinks from the bar …
Really nice place to pop into on a Sunday arvo. The cheeseburger was great but the 50c wings were so morish! So full when we left! Staff were prompt and courteous.
Christ wouldn’t go here if you paid me, absolute joke of a bar. Bouncers are absolute tosspots, verbally abused my disadvantaged friend. Genuinely in disbelief.
Always a great night out and the team who work there are such a great bunch. Probably the only affordable place to drink in Sydney and always good events.

My brother was kicked out because he has a natural stutter. He bought a drink he never received. This is discrimination, and bullying.
Staff were lovely! The managers were absolutely amazing and helpful. Would recommend the food to anyone! Will attend again.
