[2nd visit - visited in Feb '22] I returned to give the place another try. This time I ordered different food and it wasn't too bad. I sat outside and I attended with kids. The kids meals were okay. We sat outside for quite a while after meals were finished as we were waiting for desserts. After quite a while I had to go inside to find someone. When I did, I was told that I was meant to allocate a time to have my desserts delivered when ordering my food in the app. Unfortunately, I didn't see that when I was ordering. I didn't realise it was like a gold class cinema session, whereby I had to specify times to deliver food. Once again, after our meals were finished, our dishes were never cleared. When desserts were delivered, the dirty dishes remained. There isn't much interaction with restaurant staff but are we expected fo clear our own dishes and find cutlery when needed? I don't understand the set up. I understand that we order and pay for drinks and food via our phones but the rest should operate as a normal restaurant. I can't imagine my parents being able to dine in this place. While waiting for dessert, the security guard sat just inside the artificial grass area and had a cigarette. The smell wofted into the outdoor dining area where we were seated. I can handle a bit of smoke but I don't really like children being exposed to cigarette smoke for no reason. Also, it is extremely unprofessional. If he wanted a cigarette break, he could have ventured outside a bit further away from restaurant diners. I will have to say that I won't return. [End of 2nd visit experience] _______________________________________ [Below is my 1st experience late 2021] The venue was good and the set up seemed pretty good but that's about it for me for the good points. The ordering system was done by phone. We were told when we were seated that a waitress would come by and explain how it works. This never happened. We ended up just ordering on our phone. We had to chase a waiter down for a jug of water and had to get someone to locate a missing drink. We were also given meals we didn't order. The serving staff were very young and possibly inexperienced. They cleared some empty dishes then didn't return for the rest; I found it a bit strange. I found the food very similar to large, American food chain restaurants. Nothing stood out for me.

First time here for dinner with friends and I was unfortunately disappointed. I will start with the positives... cocktail was delicious, staff seemed friendly, security guards for safety and to check ID, heaps of tvs to watch sport (different channels of sport on). But there were too many issues to give it more than one star. Firstly, the ordering process was awkward. It was through an app and there was a discount that we could use, although we had to erase our order and do it again to get it, so we didnt bother. Secondly, we had to ask a number of times for a few things. The wait staff were busy, so I understand, but we never received a cocktail menu, and had to ask multiple times for table water. Thirdly, the food. I ordered a vegan burger, and I order a lot of vegan burgers. But the patty was terrible. It was almost like it was raw because of the texture. It stuck to your teeth and had the consistency of cat food. It was quite plain too. At a price of $25, you are better off going next door to Grill'd and spending $10 less for a MUCH nicer burger. The fries were fine. I also had some buffalo cauliflower or something and that was pretty good actually. My friend ordered the calamari and avocado bowl... which had literally zero avocado - no joke! We went digging. Although after telling the waitress she brought out a bowl or avo and apologised, so that was good. My other friends had chicken wraps and were really happy with them. So I would suggest a wrap if you wanted decent food. Fourthly, my friends decided to order another drink before we left. After 20 minutes of waiting, no drink in site, we checked the app and it said it would be ready in another 20 minutes. Which was ridiculous for a beer and cocktail. My friend went up to the bar and asked about the drinks and they were already made, they were just sitting there. So he had to bring them back to the table himself... just a bit weird that no one wanted to bring them over. So my first and last time here, was memorable for the wrong reasons. Just so disappointed at how much money the vegan burger was, it was awful! What a waste... Edit: I tried to contact the sporting globe (their reply to this post), and I missed their call. I called back, and left a message with someone, and never heard back from them.

Place looking nice, has that American vibe and tables has a small tv screen on the wall so if you like watching sports, this is a great place. My husband has been here a few times and he said it was good, so we decided to go there with my in laws for my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately overall the foods weren’t great that night. I ordered their buffalo wings and cauliflower popcorn. I like their cauliflower popcorn, it has nice taste & a bit peppery. However the wings were disappointing. Not sure if buffalo sauce supposed to taste like that, it was so salty! I like the level of spiciness, but the saltiness and the sauce that came with it just werent a great combo, they somehow are too sour, salty and too rich. I only ordered 6 wings but only ate like 3. I can’t believe as a wing lover, I could only ate 3. And for $14 for 6 pieces (some pieces are tiny), it was definitely not a good value. My mother in law ordered sliders and she only had one out of three because she didn’t like it. I had one and I could see why. I don’t think the buns were great, and the fillings itself you can only taste the sweet bbq sauce, not much other flavour other than sweet. Took a bite of husband’s buffalo burger and I wasn’t a fan either, very sour possibly from a lot of pickles. Can’t comment for my father in law’s bacon and cheese burger since didn’t taste it, but they said it’s ok. I like their sticky date pudding, even though husband said it’s one of the most bland one he has had. We like their mocktails. But yea, I don’t think I will be back and I felt bad for taking in laws to a place where food wasnt good. Husband said he had their parmas in the past which was good so maybe stick with that if you go. Edited: Back again and tried their Hawaiian parma but I asked for no Jalapeno which apparently was in the sauce so they offered to change it to Napoli sauce. I tried it and their parma was nice. Salad could be fresher but this time I was happier with food quality. Had different mocktail that has berries in it and it was ok.

As a frequent visitor to the Sporting Globe in Chirnside Park, I have always enjoyed the lively atmosphere and great service that this establishment offers. However, I was disappointed during my most recent visit to find that the prices have increased significantly. As a loyal customer, this was a frustrating and disappointing factor that impacted my overall experience. Despite this, I must acknowledge that the atmosphere remains engaging and entertaining, with a wide range of sports memorabilia and TVs creating an energetic and exciting environment. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing prompt service and attention to detail throughout our visit. That being said, the affordability of the menu was a major issue during this visit. As mentioned, the prices have gone up significantly, making certain items on the menu more expensive than we would usually expect to pay. For example, the chicken parma and chips now cost around $35, which is a significant increase from previous prices. Overall, while the Sporting Globe in Chirnside Park still offers a fun and engaging environment with good service, the recent price increases are a disappointing factor that cannot be overlooked. As a loyal customer, I hope that the establishment will take this feedback into consideration and work to find a balance between affordability and quality in the future.

Food: It's parma or steak really but it doesn't aspire to or pretend to be anything else. It was tasty enough, with very generous portions and there was no long delay in being served. Not too badly priced. Service: Weird. We stood at the wait here to be seated sign for about 5 minutes. A staff member approached us and asked us if we had a booking, and when we said no, they just turned around and walked off without another word. The place was half empty. Someone else came along after a few minutes so all good. Atmosphere: Average, The Grill was quite noisy. There are at least 20+ TV screens showing about 3 or 4 random sports. None had volume turned on and nobody seemed to be watching any of them. The bar was not half full. Beer is a bit pricey for what it is. The male-to-female ratio was about 85:15 There are plenty of giant screens, too. A performer was playing guitar and singing but he was fighting a losing battle. There is a pool table with its own dedicated bouncer sitting and staring at the players and spectators, which was both fascinating and weird. Everyone seemed to be enjoying and behaving themselves, so it's not a bad place at all if that's your thing.

My grandson and I visited the sporting globe chirnside last week and had an incredible experience. Most restaurants now use QR codes to place orders and as someone who isn’t very tech savvy I was struggling to figure it out. Ebony came to our table and reassured us that she would place our order and it wasn’t anything of a bother, she was so friendly with the biggest smile. She went above and beyond for both my grandson and I, making jokes and having conversations with us both, my grandson is usually very shy and unable to talk to new people but he loved talking to Ebony! From the moment we walked in all of the staff were so lovely and helpful. The whole experience was amazing. Good job Chirnside park sporting globe! We will definitely be back.

16/06/2023 Served by Kate who took our food and drink orders. She made sure we were all good and satisfied. After getting out food we noticed our parma sauce was very sour. When she came to take away finished plates, Kate later came back to offer us with a feee drink or free dessert. We replied back with “sure, surprise us” she then came back with one of each items on the menu which immediately changed our bad Parma night into a night we greatly appreciated. 10/10 for customer service and ended up tipping lovely Kate $24 to round the bill up to $150 so please make sure that Kate received the FULL $24 bonus from us. (If you are served by Kate, you are in great hands!)

I had an excellent dining experience with Jordan as my waiter! They provided attentive and friendly service throughout the meal. Delicious food and great service this evening. Our dishes and drinks were served promptly. Holly served us and she was kind and personable. The porterhouse steak surf and turf was great, complimented nicely by the garlic sauce on the side. Pina colada was the best I've had in ages. My only gripe: why were mozzarella sticks removed from the appetizer menu? We used to love them! Please please bring them back! Will definitely visit again

So I usually don't give 5 star reviews; not because I'm picky but because there is always something lacking. That is not the case here ! My partner and I both had the Chicken Burger and it was delicious, juicy, freshly prepared, and overall a fantastic burger. The chips and dipping sauce also complimented the dish. The chips were coated in chicken salt, and the aioli suave was the same that the burger had. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Holly served us and was amazing! Went here for a birthday party and did not disappoint, with Holly’s service at our larger table all the food and drinks came together and she was knowledgeable on helping us choose from menu items, a very enjoyable evening 10/10 service

I came here for dinner with my partner. Couldn’t be happier with the food and especially the service! We were served by a beautiful young woman named Jess. She listened attentively to our requests and made our experience one to remember. One of my favourite encounters with waitstaff at a restaurant. If every staff member was like Jess then I see no way this restaurant could fail.

I would like to thank all of the food staff, bar staff and table service it always such a great atmosphere and look forward to our regular returns. Big shout out to Ebony, you rock.

I love a good calamari dish and if you wish NOT to be disappointed then do not order this! Whilst the salad was generous and tasted lovely, there were only a FEW pieces of cut calamari on top of the salad. For a meal that's beyond $20, this was robbery. The only consolation from this venue? The staff are friendly. Food wise? Not that great.

Been here a few times for lunch. I like the pork ribs in BBQ sauce and the French fries are pretty good. Unfortunately the last time I lunched there, the ribs were dry and didn't fall off the bone, however still tasty. Good variety in the menu, it's spacious with lots of tables (and several TV's on every wall!!) and the service is good.

Huge selection of beer and Americain inspired pub fare with an Aussie twist. Huge range of tv for all sports and changeable upon request. Massive beers garden, drink specials and good atmosphere.

Great menu of options for both lunch or dinner, not too expensive either. Nice atmosphere in the dining area and plenty of space so didn't feel crowded ironically, even though the place was packed. Decided to treat myself to a takeaway lunch today and so glad I went to TSG. It's been a while since I last dined there and it seems the quality and taste has increased. Every bite was delicious so big thanks to the chef's. So yummy!

10/10!! 5 of us went for dinner tonight and every meal served was absolutely delicious and great portion sizes. Customer service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. This place will definitely become a regular.

Really fun place .. what I liked was the diversity of people and age groups.. really yummy appetisers and great cocktails/ drinks menu .. friendly, helpful staff !

Place was super busy - but the food was fabulous and wasn't a long wait. Looking forward to trying some other dishes here. Top job to all the staff and management.
