Had a parma in the sportsbar on the weekend, and it was the most revolting dish I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing in a pub, full stop. I have wined and dined at many pubs in the area, as well as the state & country, and have never experienced such a disgusting one in my life. The parma itself was extremely tough, hard, stale & overcooked (clearly had been sitting on the pass for quite some time), and came with a few measly chips on the side which to their merit weren't the worst I've ever had, and a side of pretty average veges to follow. My mates also got food and whilst their dishes were of slightly better quality than mine, the consensus all round was quite the same. The gaming room is of average quality to others in the area. It has a decent range of machines yet attracts quite a disgusting crowd of people in comparison to many other gaming venues in the area. There was a punch-on in the smoking room outside whilst we were there and the staff including the security personnel didn't handle it very well at all. As for the bistro, I cannot comment on its service/food/staff etc, but the other reviewers here I am sure have covered this in length. And finally, as for the TAB area, to their merit, it is not the worst; apart from the man continually screaming for his horse to "kick". Don't recommend.

The uneducated, glorified receptionist/security guard who picks and chooses when to act on his required duties of checking patrons I.D’s all depends on whether his ego has had enough validation for the day. The last two times I have attended he’s not bothered to request I.D, however he’s well and truely familiar with our group. You are actually a pathetic loser on your own power trip. I suppose you’re not required to use your smarts as part of your required duties. A word of advice, carry out your duties all of the time and not when you’re on a power trip. You are beyond detrimental to a business and I as a business owner, instant termination of your position is the smartest decision. P.S I don’t know you felt the need to reiterate to us that you’re not Indian. No one cares. Only you!

Not very good. We went here for dinner. The rump steak I ordered tasted only of the grill it was cooked on. A bitter charcoal taste with no seasoning. It was cooked as requested though. The "garlic sauce" tasted only of cream. Even dipping the chips in it, I couldn't taste the supposed garlic. The salad consisted of rocket lettuce, some onion and carrot, and 2 halves of a cherry tomato, with no dressing. The chips were good, for the small pinch that I got. My partners meal was also pretty mediocre. She left half of her parma on the plate. I'll be honest, I can get a better and cheaper meal from the pub around the corner from my house. It might explain why the place was virtually deserted beyond some old folks in the corner.

Staff are lovely, food is average-above average pub food. I ordered medium rare steak and it came out blue. If it's more on the rare side I would happily eat it, but it was blue. Sent it back and they sent me a new one. They were very sorry about it and the 2nd one came out perfect. The face painter was good too, and the kids enjoyed the play equipments. Kids got "chicken wok" which was tasty and had a good balance of meat and veg and "pasta cheese", which is literally pasta with melted cheese through it. Not bad, but needed a bit more for a balanced meal. Husband got the tasting anti pasta platter which was good value for money.

To be honest I had not expected anything special from this pub because of some negative reviews on this google review. Well, after my trial and careful observation of the food and service here I have to admit this pub delivers a decent food and services. Yes, I saw some minor confusions tonight within our group alone but over all it’s quite good. My recommendation: ‘Poke Bowl’ (salad on rice with choices of teriyaki chicken, salmon, tuna and something else along with your choice of sauce). It sounds like a simple dish but it was really great.

Stopped here for a reunion with some of the lads. Had a nice lunch as did all my comrades. Staff was a bit short and the young pup barman had a big chip on his skinny shoulders. So service was slow. But apart from that a fantastic well spaced main bar and dining area with a good kitchen and chef. Public toilets with provision for disabled patrons. Has its own car park and dedicated disable parking. We picked this location as it was near public transport and central to all who attended. Might get another location next time to spice it up.

Just read reviews in particular complaining about staff. The complainer is talking nonsense. It is a fantastic group of staff who go out of their way especially with children and the oldies. A great restaurant with fair prices, a safe friendly caring pokies area who go out of their way to look after patrons, one of the best sports bars which includes tipping competitions. The only "people" that might bark are the doggies as it is not yet dog friendly. Tiptop family venue that is real value with the amazing attribute of caring staff.

Nice pub with a family focus. Food prices a little higher than average for what you get but quality is consistently good and the kitchen is very speedy bringing out the food. I never have the foresight to make a booking but even on busy nights the front of house have found us a table. Wait staff always make very sure that we’re happy with our meals. Playground is small but definitely enough for little kids and management have made a very good call by engaging a face-painter three nights a week. Will keep coming back.

Little underwhelming burger. Sports bar itself is very impressive, large screens cover the walls on 3 sides, although with limited seating I'll bet it gets packed on weekends. Burger was lackulster with the patty not even reaching the edges of the bun. Flavours were fine. My partner got the parma which was a decent size, but not a lot of flavour, and sparse on the sauces. Great for a game, okay for meals.

We tried this place for the first time for a Saturday night dinner with 2 little boys (3 and 21 months) due to the playground. It was VERY busy with families, even at 5pm!!! The service was excellent, prompt and friendly. The food was really quite average, especially for the price. My salmon had barely any flavour but looked amazing. Hubby's Parma was a huge hit (surprise, surprise!). Boys devoured their meals and the kids meals came out really quickly which is a huge plus!

Good atmosphere, nice set up. Entree we had the spanner crab was yummy, however the beef Wellington was not up to standard, the pastry wasn’t cooked properly, outside was hard and dry but inside was under cooked, beef didn’t taste good either might be just old, 2 sauces were watery, sides were fine. The whole meal was not very appetite to eat, we finished not even a quarter, then paid and left.

Depends on the day, plus staff. On the this day the man offered myself and others a drink or if he could help with anything. Very friendly and really nice to have a wonderful service especially the man who served me. I really should have put a note or message to the manager to say what an asset to there business. Nice to be served by a person who was friendly and helpful with customer service which was flawless. Around morning time.

  • Bissy Body

Dirty gaming venue with no hand wipes about like other venues. Staff walk around & could be cleaning the machines. Relaxed rules about masks, yet strict criteria for entry??? The manager Mary can be hot n cold, friendly one day & rude another. Glasshouse around the corner is a much better venue that practice better hygiene. I think staff at this venue should be more enthusiastic about their jobs.

  • Razor Blades

Had been here a year or so ago and was very impressed. How it can all change. The food this time was very ordinary. A pulled lamb pizza was a struggle to actually find any meat, just abundance of cheese. Other meals lacked flavour and one was forgotten until waiter was reminded. Maybe just a bad night, but we won't be back. Will say however that the staff were very good and friendly.

  • Falcon GTHO

Went there for dinner. Ordered the charcoal gnocchi and a side of chips. Tasted nice but the gnocchi was a main but the portion was less than an entrée. For $30.00 I expected a lot more gnocchi in the plate. Lucky I ordered the chips or I would’ve left starving. Not worth it. Won’t be going back.

We went and ate at the bistro ... not the up market restaurant part... and found it awful. Dirty tables and chairs. I ended up wiping our own tables and chairs. Strict rules on entry rewards to covid, yet the staff wearing masks on their chin. Toilets down stairs dirty. No bins. No change area for babies either. Found that the staff couldn't care less.

  • tom ***

low quality food, nothing fresh! I invited a few kids for dinner: Pizza taste like the used a pasta out of a can, crust was dry and burn, schnitzel and chicken tenders taste like frozen processed food. Veggies tasted frozen, chips was dry and old. Risotto was swimming in oil. Couldn’t feed that to the kids. Never ordering from then again!

  • Kria Moodley

Went there for pokies only. Don't waste ur Money at this pokies. Machines don't pay out, they only make sounds to make you think you gonna win and so you keep playing but doesn't pay out. Took all my money. And I played a few machines. Atmosphere is not friendly staff are not friendly. It a good vibe here. Drive away...

Absolute success. Had our daughters 14 th birthday in The Bar Rouge function area of the Caulfield Hotel. Tania the venue manager and her team made the night run perfectly. Highly recommend this space for anyone thinking of having a party. 10/10 Thank you

We prefer to fine in a pub with cosy, relaxed ambient atmosphere so we won't be back to this place. Dining restuarant only open at nights so we got shunted to the front bar area to lunch on pretty ordinary fare surrounded by huge screens on 3 walls plus TAB at one end. Very few diners, no wonder.

  • Monisha Biswas

We went there twice ~ first day the coffee was excellent so we went again. The quality of food varied significantly on the second day and I don't think we will visit anymore. However, I was impressed to see that they have considered to put special menyediakan and price for the senior citizens.

Dear, Slumdog millionaire, have a great life little brother. Don't ever cross my path again. To the owner.. that is how you hire staff? Based on lies of your so called security company. Don't reply back as you have accomplished more than enough damage to my life! ♥ …

  • Benny Northeast

The meals were good, the staff were friendly, however there is one problem. At about 7:30 the stuff on the TV was well above PG and yet this resteraunt claims to be family friendly. Do not bring your kids here after 7:30 unless you want them scarred for life by the stuff on the TV.

  • George Lewandowski

We had a great time, good food, good selection of beers and wine. It was a group catch-up and a perfect venue. Other than an occasional squeal from kids play area, we all were able to hear each other conversing. Very clean and well maintained right down to the toilets.

  • Lusine Rogers

Average pub food. Some good parts to it some low quality. Obviously the place is not aiming for a good customer service as there is non. In saying this I have always gone here with group of friends and had an amazing time so my feeling about food may be not precise.

  • Thomas Sounness

Its a solid 1 star venue. It serves Beer. Food excelled if fried or pan fried. :/ Salads were average. Chips excellent. All other meals (not the cuts of fish or meat) were barely average for a pub meal at above average pub prices. Beer was excellent. Wine was poor.

  • Russ Macumber

Food pretty good pub-grub. Kids area quite small and last time we booked a table they said we would be near the kids area only to enter and find we were miles away which was very annoying. We'll probably be back for convenience sake but its far from our fave pub.

  • Anna Le Merle

My goto local pub. Great for meals and has a great gluten free selection. Wine list is good too and the kids playground and activities are a bonus. They have face painting (or arm painting if that is what your little one prefers) every weekend at dinner time.

  • Aust Shaun

A large, inoffensive, pokies hotel. Went here for a 2 year old's birthday. Great for families, fantastic kids area. Could get busy. Menu was a typical bistro affair. Presented and cooked well. Recommend for families or somewhere to take your parents. Thanks.

  • Phil Papadopoulos

Nice food in the restaurant at reasonable prices (seniors card holders receive concession prices on meals). Friendly staff and well managed venue. Always clean. Has a very nice private function room and gaming venue. Wheelchair access Public transport access

  • Rachel Brothwood

Went for lunch. It was fairly busy. We told them we only had an hour to spare and they said it wasn't a problem. The wait staff were lovely and the food (which came to us promptly) was excellent. Great range of vegetarian dishes. Good experience. Thanks.

  • Andy Lumby

Been coming in for a while gotta say it a great vibe down here I had the pleasure to meet kellie and Katrina from the bar absolute 10/10 so is Gary absolute gentleman the parmas are brilliant staff are attentive love calling into to this establishment

  • Jeff Brown

Great for family gatherings , with a indoor play centre for the little ones. Meal prices in the bistro are on the high side, but are very nice. Something I've not seen before in a pub was that you need to pay $1.50 for a bread roll with your meal?

  • M L

Great service from the staff and the food was delicious too, only negative was the wait time was a bit excessive. Although, the wait was made easier by the indoor playground our child was able to play on in the meantime. Definitely worth a visit.

  • Pamella Seton

Went here for lunch on grand final day, excellent pizza, delishious cocktails (which were cheap too!) . They had the game playing on the big screen and the pokies were on fire that day, they basically paid for all my food and drinks that

  • Winza S

Venue is pretty good but food is a bit of hit and miss. Tandoori pizza is on the salty side and normal drinks are pretty expensive. We got given a $3 voucher for drinks (due to seniors card) but we had to pay another dollar to get the coke.

  • Jillian Pearmain

We went there for Father's Day - what a joke. Ordered the seafood platter for two??? 3 scallops? The octopus tasted like it was straight out of the vinegar bottle, two tiny pieces of barumundi on soggy fish. Appalling menu for kids, a pile

  • Will Kim

I went there this evening have never encountered such rude and incompetent service in my life. They even gave us attitude on the way out by the manager who had no idea what was going on. Won't be going back there again.

Watching the championship finals, under staffed long wait for food and beer, at times only one guy at the counter, unbelievable. The management must increase staff during important event. First time and very disappointed.

  • Malcolm Dow

A big place, so no intimate cosy feel here, but if you are looking for a huge range on the menu, especially vegan options, this is a great place for a meal. Seniors meals offer a very good range, starting at $10.

First time at the place. We met up with some friends for dinner. While I liked the Vegan meals on offers and the meals were yummy, I find the noise level a bit too much for my liking.

Good service. Really nice food. LOVE that they have a separate vegan menu. Kids play area, while small, kept 5 kids entertained while we ate and free face painting was a nice bonus.

Good food. Specials for kids and seniors. Also has a kids play area. Have to line up to have your order taken, buy drinks separately at the bar.

Stopped coming pre covid because it was impossible to get a beer. At least a 5 min wait for a staff member at night. Nobody manning the bar.
