No longer do you get a free thermos of green tea when you sit down, replaced by a jug of water and glasses. Tables are clean and set with condiments, cutlery and chop sticks. Service is quick and the extensive menu is accompanied by pictures of the food which helps. Food orders are taken on ipad ensuring accuracy and the servers English is good and easy to understand. On this occasion we had the spring rolls, rice paper rolls, beef pho and laska. All very nice except they forgot to deliver the satay sauce for the rice paper rolls but an easy ask and they quickly bought it to us. This is our go to place in Sunshine. Consistency of food and service is what this place has. Always people coming in evidencing that this is a well visited venue. Recommend and pricing reasonable and comparable to other nearby food venues. Revisited 15.7.2023. While we were on our authentic Vietnamese food hunt, we discovered this Vietnamese restaurant - #ThuanAn in Sunshine. Aside from the usual suspects like Pho, #ThuanAn served the original beef casserole with baguette - Bo Kho. Unlike the Western-style beef stew, Bo Kho is full of Asian flavours - sweet, sour and spicy. When served with a baguette that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it is really a wholesome meal for cold and wet autumn weather in Melbourne. Aside from Bo Kho, we also tried the Vietnamese Tapioca Noodle Soup with Crab Meat - #BanhCanhCua. Besides the piece and pieces of crab shells in the soup, the dish is pretty decent for those who have not had the authentic version in Vietnam. The restaurant is clean and modern looking with bright light. The only thing that bothers me is the music, and the restaurant played pop dance music pretty loudly. Pro: the services here is fantastic you definitely feel welcome. The food is presented beautifully. The restaurant is nice and clean. Con: the food doesn't taste as good as it looks. There wasn't much flavour in the food and this is meant to be Vietnamese food so it should be packed with flavour. Furthermore the portion size of the food is very small. My son who is 5 years old was asking me for more noodles in his Pho and there wasn't enough. End up doing a maccas run for my son which never happen before for us. Overall service is good but the food needs more work. Not sure if we came on off day or something but food had no flavour and portion size was small compare to other restaurants in the area.

If you’re the kind of person who loves to cover your loved ones in sunshine and shower them with good times then this restaurant is the right place to treat them. Spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas with many tables and houseplants; good food with great price and portions plus super friendly customer service are what make this place great. Also, if you want to get your ex back, this place is a good start.

I am sure they have other great dishes here. But unfortunately for me, i chose pho which is not their speciality at all. If you come here, dont go for noodle soup. There is a reason why some vietnamese shops serve solely noodle while others not! Service is quite quick

Staff are super friendly and the menu has a decent amount of options to choose from. We ordered the coconut prawns to start as well as the grilled pork rice paper rolls which were all made fresh and tasted so good! The food and the customer service here has been always consistent. They always greet us with a smile and was very patient. No matter how busy it is, the food always come out really fast. Our favourites are Vietnamese Pasta with Cubed Beef and Soft Shell Crab Vietnamese coleslaw. We always feel welcomed here ☺️ will definitely keep coming back here.
