This is the 3rd time I've left my car at Twins Lens Auto and it's time for a review. It's not very often that you randomly walk into a mechanic shop with no referrals and it ends up being one you can trust. This is the case for me. Nobody told me about this place...I just decided to walk right in. I'm glad I did. Their service is quick (depending on the issue, of course) and prices are very fair. They communicate well and are very informative of everything that's going on and if they have discovered any other issues and give you suggestions on what they think needs to be repaired a.s.a.p and what can wait. I feel very comfortable leaving my vehicle there and I'm confident whoever decides to leave their vehicle here would feel the same. For a little, lowkey mechanic shop, they do great work. Not a single complaint.

Ming was great! What an HONEST & reasonably priced mechanic. I was told by another mechanic at a different shop my timing chain was about to go out and I would need it fixed the cost would be $3500. so I called around and found Ming. He quoted me $1000 less than the other shop, but that’s not the best part! The best part is I didn’t need a timing chain, I only needed a water pump! Ming diagnosed my car and told me what the real issue was a water pump! The catch with the other mechanic is when you replace a timing chain on certain vehicles you also have to change the water pump, the other place was definitely trying to take advantage of me! NOT MING he got me in the same day and my car was returned the next day!. Ill definitely use Ming at Twin Lens moving forward. Definitely a hidden gem in McKinley Park.

RUN!!! First time here, lesson learn when you tell them what you think the issue is know that they WILL NOT confirmed if that’s the actual issue. They are going to fix what you said and charge you for it if your car is fixed or not. I was charged $$$ for the labor job for something that didn’t need repair that I thought did and the main issue still didn’t work and charged for a engine light test $100 even through I didn’t ask for a test I ask them to fix Whateva the light was on for and it wasn’t, not even a clue as to why things not working or direction to repairing the concerns I came in for and owner didn’t care nor did he have sympathy. I sat in the freezer box for 5 hours & They fixed NOTHING AT ALL The one star is only for Amy the lady at the front desk she was more of a help than anyone here.

I recently replaced timing belt and water pump at Lexus dealership for my newly acquired GX470, the price was so expensive, so instead going back to dealership, I started looking for a community auto repair shop to fix the AC leaks and work on other necessary services. I happened to stop by Twin Lens, Ming and Miguel started leak checking right way, found the leak, and fixed the AC. They also replaced one of the front axle drives, one wheel bearing, and both front brake rotors, pads, and calipers. Ming and his staff are very knowledgeable, polite to answer all my questions and concerns. I am very satisfied with their service and reasonable price. I will definitely be a return customer.

It is a nice place if you want to repair your car out of pocket. They do not charge as much as your insurance companies or those fancy auto repair stores. I hit a road sign when I was backing. So I chose them instead of insurance. One thing you have to be clear about body repair is that it will never go back to the original looks when it came out of the factory. They did a good job compared to the price although there were some small defects on the edge of the door. The lady (I guess she is in charge) is nice and kind and told me many tips when I picked up my car.

Great work, great price, and they're quick. I needed a new timing belt, my rusted out exhaust fixed, and body work done after an accident. Twin lens did it in 5 days and the paint on the new body matches the original exactly. Also i only speak english & worried we wouldn't be able to communicate well, but everyone was patient and we repeated ourselves until i felt more confident working with them than i have ever felt in a shop before. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience here! Our catalytic converter was stolen, so we had our car taken to this auto repair shop. They had the car fixed and the converter replaced the same day, and they worked until 8pm to see it done. A wonderful Godly couple running the store and I could not emphasize more how reasonable, meticulous, and nice they are. I definitely will be coming here for regular car check ups in the future.

Had to get a wheel alignment because I just got new tires. Always saw this place because I'm local but this was my first time here. They checked my car out and stated I needed new struts. It definitely made sense due to the age of my car and me never having them changed. They got them done in a good amount of time and a Great price! Friendly Staff. Will be back for my wheel alignment for sure.

I had a sudden car issue and rolled into their shop asking for help a hour before they closed and they kindly examined the car, figured out the issue and told me a quote for how much it would cost. It was done by noon the next day much earlier than then had originally told me which was great, their pricing was also very fair. They did great work and everybody had good costumer service.

This store ditched my friends car, went for car servicing and with lack knowledge they performed transmission fluid change which resulted in complete loss of transmission on the very next day and the transmission fluid leaked into engine and ultimately it costed +5000$ to get it repaired at dealer. Neither me or my friend would never ever visit this store or recommend anyone

They have a great service and good work. Also no charge too much money. They suchedule you and they do on time. I was nervous about my car and price and he found a solution cheaper and did me fine. He make sense and make u cool. Just walk and let them do what u need. I always get here affordable payment. Best thing they not looking for an excuse for take ur money.

I am EXTREMELY well pleased with this auto shop ! They did an outstanding job, are very fairly priced, highly professional and friendly. They got my work done either on time or earlier than scheduled. I have been to many auto shops over the years, and this one has my vote as the best one I have ever used. My 2016 Jeep Cherokee was mis-fire for one year. I visited 2-3 shops in New York City (where I current live) and no one can diagnose the issue since then. I went back to Chicago last week to visit my friend. The mechanic helped me to find out the mis-fire reasons and repair it in 3 hours. I feel my car like a brand new now.

Miguel got us back cool and on the road, got our ac back and running after years of not working it blows ice cold air now. they evac and recharged and was able to get my new ac compressor i installed to work. they found a electrical issue with the ground on the new one and was able to bypass it and get it working!

They did a wonderful job of fixing up my car. Very responsive and kind people who are willing to go out of their way to ensure a good customer experience. Like many others have mentioned, they don't overcharge and offers the best rates in town. Would definitely recommend!

They actually take everything under consideration and give you the options of fixing what only needs to be fixed. Also, they give you a reality check on the things that may need to get fixed on the long run... but best of all, they actually show you what is bad.

They don't know how to check transmission fluid for my Honda all Honda car need turn off engine to check fluid also my Ford after change transmission fluid in this place my transmission die in same day they don't change filter may they is reason

Had my bumper fixed and painted there before, very reasonable price and excellent work, went extra mile to buff off a long scratch mark on the hood, been there for regular services, honest people, I trust the mechanic for all my cars.
