I can only say -- WOW! This has been the best USPS experience ever, and I'm so grateful for the ladies at the Kingwood Post Office! I ordered a special and unique item, something I had been looking for for some time, second-hand, and urgently needed it by the weekend. Turns out, the seller of the item had an old address of mine (also in Kingwood) on file and that's where my package was sent. I received delivery notification but, of course, the item wasn't delivered to my current address but my old one. I left a note for the mail carrier in the mailbox the following day (including tracking number and my cell #) and received a call from my carrier, Julie, by noon that day. Julie told me who to talk to at the local Kingwood post office to hopefully retrieve my package from the person currently residing at my old address. I was told initially that it was a long shot -- after all, they made the delivery correctly! -- but they would try! I received at least 2-3 phone calls during the day with updates. Amazing that these USPS workers took the time to deliver such personal customer service! Long story short, between Julie, Carla, Zulma, and another super nice lady whose name I cannot remember (I'm so sorry, I feel terrible!!!!), they took awesome care of me. By 4:30 p.m. I received a call and was informed that my package was retrieved successfully and will be delivered to my current address TOMORROW! The USPS has been getting a bad rap, but I can say with 100% confidence that these women at the Kingwood Post Office a) really do care and b) go 10 extra miles when they didn't even do anything wrong. The whole fiasco was entirely my fault for not double-checking my address with the seller, but they stepped up and made it right. I'm incredibly thankful, especially because the item was a wedding gift for a very dear friend -- a special and time-sensitive shipment. THANK YOU, LADIES! You not only made my day/week/month, but my friend's as well. <3 <3 <3
This is an update from my previous review. Paid 40 for a package to be delivered overnight, 5 days later still didn't receive it even though tracking said out for delivery. Called and they couldn't find it, and then found it sitting on a shelf. It never went out for delivery, they weren't going to put it on the truck for delivery, and I had to pick it up myself. I got there and was given an attitude, told someone else had to deal with me because the woman didn't want to. They told me to sign a slip I signed, and then was yelled at to print my name, even though I wasn't told that previously. These are the most lazy incompetent people I have ever encountered. 1 star is too high of a rating for this place. The people who work here including the manager are out of control rude. You never wait less than 20 minutes. I have had multiple pieces of mail lost or just not delivered. I had a letter with check inside go missing and the manager told me it's because the person sending it placed the wrong address on it. Then I was told the usual delivery guy was on vacation and he must have "hid it somewhere in the back." When I asked why he would hide mail that is not his I was given just a blank stare. I then asked if they could call him to find out where is was and I was told I was being ridiculous for asking them to call him on his day off, even though he was hiding my mail. I now have a package that was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago and is nowhere to be found. If you can avoid using this post office do it! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!
Went here for passport service. Was cutting it close with applying but was informed that we still had enough time to get our passports back with four to fives weeks left before our travel date. My husband took off work to make sure we got our applications processed in time. Went into this location and waited In line 3 hours before being waited on. We were informed that we should receive our passports in the mail in 2 weeks. Fast forward two weeks... we get a letter in the mail stating that we needed to return to the location because the acceptance representative didn’t complete the application correctly. So there my husband was having to take off from work again because of negligence. This place gets lots of traffic because they accept walk-Ins. Don’t get me wrong the staff was nice, but please don’t go here if your expecting your passport to be processed correctly on the first try. Oh and I bet your wondering also if we were able to get our passports back before the trip. Yep, my husbands came in the mail exactly one week before our travel date and mine came in exactly ONE DAY before our trip!
Since February they have lost 2 checks and other important documents I sent out. This usually occurs when I put my mail in their outside box. I also sent a package overnight and it didn't get there for a couple days. It didn't necessarily have to be there overnight but when I pay $28 and put it in their own overnight packaging, I would expect it to be there when they guarantee it to be (it was only a stack of papers). Otherwise, the service is definitely hit or miss there. Sometimes you get a pleasant person and sometimes you don't. They also have a habit of saying my packages have been delivered when they weren't, or at least saying they were delivered the day before they actually are and a day after they were supposed to get there. Also, when you can hear the delivery people coming down the block because their music is so loud, there is a professionalism problem that needs to be addressed. Overall, not run well. I am only posting this to vent since nothing ever seems to change.
I purposely visited this location due to all the unhappy reviews. My experience was the complete opposite. Every postal worker at the counter were very kind & courteous. One postal worker stood out from the rest. Her name was Michelle. She was very upbeat, her presence was welcoming. She was extremely nice and answered all my questions without becoming frustrated. I noticed she treated all the other customers in line before me the same way so that’s definitely something she’s accustomed to doing. As I was leaving Michelle was reorganizing the self serve station where customers pre pack items in boxes and envelopes. On my way out the door I heard her say, oh my goodness this is why the customers are confused and not finding the right size boxes. Everything is mixed up and not in order, hehehe! Great Job Michelle! Stay Safe & Take Care
Wish it was possible to give zero stars. Had a 16 day vacation hold and when I go to pickup, they hand me 8 pieces of mail- I get that much in one day. The male employee helping me is one of the rudest unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I told him that this was impossible, that I should have a giant packet of mail. He’s waving his hands at me, saying ‘You already got your mail. Nothings guaranteed.’ ‘You obviously don’t understand how mail works, you don’t always get the same amount’ I have to beg him to go check again. He comes back with about a 100 pieces, of mail with a rubber band around it. No apologies of course. The agency overseeing post offices needs to do a full investigation into this post office.
Terrible customer service, I have never felt more humiliated as an adult than I have after leaving this office. The disrespect wasn’t only towards me but to every customer that dealt with the employee “Holcombe” or however you spell his name. Just because you work at the USPS doesn’t mean you can treat adults, ladies and men with that attitude and condescending tone. We don’t visit the post office everyday, so if we don’t have the right information or the right boxes when we show up, don’t degrade us. You are like every other human being out there Holcombe, so remember, what goes around will come around. I hope nobody ever treats your loved ones the way you just treated a few customers in front me, especially the elderly.
Horrible service here for years I just never got around to leaving a review until now. The employees here are super rude. A few months ago there was the only male employee here (in his 50s-60s) and he told me I was wasting his time and playing games because I didn’t purchase a shipping label after he weighed my items and printed it out. No patience and extremely rude. I assume he got fired because I haven’t seen him there in a while. USPS has such a bad reputation this is why I’d rather support any other shipping services like Fed Ex, UPS, Amazon. I hope usps becomes obsolete in the future and private companies become more popular. (It seems I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the attitudes of the workers here)
I approached the counter and said good morning and asked the gentleman, Holcombe, how his day was. When I walked up his arms were folded and I explained to him I was checking on tracking for my package. He asked for my ID, which surprised me because I have never been asked for my ID. I asked him if that was a new thing and he said "NO" very abruptly. I asked him why he was so rude to me and he said "it's because you keep asking the same thing." ??? I get that everyone is stressed right now, but I did absolutely nothing to warrant how I was talked to. So if you have to deal with him, I hope you get a better outcome. It actually hurt my feelings a bit. Terrible, terrible way to treat and talk to people.
I truly dread having to go there as it usually ruins my day. The staff are so belligerent and seem to genuinely hate being there. Last week, a very meek and polite young family were waiting for a passport appointment. When they asked about it, the lady was very rude and when they finally had their appointment, it was the usual monotone, cold speech that they have perfected. I had dropped a prepaid package in the parcel bin the day before and it had not been scanned. It is now Tuesday and still no tracking. Does it take 5 days to scan a package? It still shows that USPS is waiting for it. The delivery people always seem friendly enough, it's just the inside employees
Where is my mail USPS? Received mail notification my package was delivered to my mailbox, then went to check immediately, and the package wasn't in my mailbox. This isn't the 1st time this has happened. My neighbor bought me my mail, which was delivered to his mail box incorrect. I received someone mail also incorrectly yesterday, and I delivered it correctly myself. Whomever delivering the mail for the Atascocita south neighborhood needs to be fired immediately. Me and my children's personal information is being shared with others, and Im losing money because of USPS incomanptance of delivering mail. I accect to be compensated immediately.
I made a passport and photo appt today for myself, husband and our 4yr old daughter. I have to say I was a little nervous based on previous reviews…. But it was the exact opposite!!! We were attended to quickly, Michelle and an other employee were patient and very friendly taking our pictures especially with our 4yr old. I’m soo glad we went to this location and for Michelle’s assistance processing our passport/photo applications, she definitely made it easy, quick and enjoyable!! Thank you Michelle!!!
What on earth is going on at this post office? I went inside to just casually drop off two small packages that were already ready with labels in the drop off area just to see a note reading not to put packages inside of it .. why can’t we use it anymore? That’s what it’s for! I hate having to stand in line just to hand a package to a person and having people breath down my neck behind me! Hire some more employees to do the job ! This shouldn’t be happening it’s absolutely ridiculous.
I have had a box at this location for possibly 3 years now. I work out of town but when I get in my mail is right where it should be and I don't have to worry about anyone taking off with any of it. For all that the employees at this location have to do they always put on that big smile and are happy (at least they are pleasant and show respect towards anyone that comes in) and helpful. I don't think I have ever had a single bad experience here and I hope that I never do.
If I could give zero stars I would! Waited patiently in line for the 1 open teller to act SO put out about helping me. She even said that if I wanted to talk to the manager I’d have to wait for someone else that is on break to take down my information for the manager to call me. She said she never knows when the manager comes in. Seriously? Ugh! It is frustrating to use that office. I will DEFINITELY drive out of my way to go to another post office.
It’s 2022. We really need to stop using USPS and let them go bankrupt. Could you really ask for worse customer service? And if that doesn’t do it for you how about this. I sent out a one time deal of 14 packages last month and only 6 of them arrived to their destination. And they don’t even care. They are the crowning achievement of working just hard enough to not get fired. Go to UPS or FedEx and let this place crater like it deserves.
Horrible customer service from older lady. Seems like she has been there awhile. Made me feel uncomfortable. No smile or eye contact. No how are you or have a good day. Negative energy and everyone in Kingwood Tx was in there and sees it. Oh and I was even brave enough to ask a question and she cut me off lol wow! She needs to go. Kingwood tx people deserve better. We need better customer service.
Delightful service in the early morning is incredibly gracious. They are exceptionally helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. I recently discovered that they even handle Santa letters for kids, personally responding to those who drop off their letters to the North Pole. Thank you, KW USPS, for creating special memories for my grandchildren! #Grateful #USPSSantaMagic
It is a rare occasion that we receive the correct mail. I pasted our address on the side of the mailbox. Still we receive our neighbors' mail at least three or four times a week. Also, there are several people at the Kingwood, Texas post office that could use training in customer service. It is a shame that such a great place to live has such a poor post office.
I came in without an appointment for a passport and the woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. She got the woman who does the passport stuff and she was able to work me in. They were both very accommodating. I really appreciated being worked in with no notice last minute. Thank you for all you're doing in these unprecedented times.
I’ve only visited this location 4 times to mail something. Each time the staff has been competent, although not particularly friendly. Each time I’ve been impressed that the wait-time in line was less than I’ve come to expect from the USPS. One note is that the building itself is a little off the beaten path and not particularly well cared for.
Terrible location and service. We scheduled a passport appointment, and after weeks of waiting, we show up for our appoint time to be told to wait. After over 30 minutes, we inquire what the issue is and apparently the passport person went on break before our appointment and wouldn’t come back. Until over an hour later.
Went in at 3pm on a Thursday. It was not busy, however the man that was working had an attitude and did not make me feel welcome at all. He would say things like “over here, hello!“what did I just say?” I am moving slower these days because I am a month from having a baby and he just kept being rude and rushing me.
If I could give this 0 or negative stars I would. This has to be hands down the worst post office in the country. Have been here for 2 months and already 0/2 on packages and tried to hold a check for days before contacting us. You are better off not having mail delivered at all because you won't get it anyway.
The women that work the front are overall pleasant and helpful so thank you. As for the gentleman (Holcombe?) it shouldn't be so hard to be decent to people, seems to go out of his way to be rude. I get it if a customer is being impatient or not respectful but that's not the case from my experience.
Came here today for passport services. I must say I'm glad I chose this location, even after seeing it only had 2.2 stars!! All the ladies at front were welcoming. The young lady with the locs handled everything perfectly !! I would've given 10 stars if I could. Thank you guys
I sent a birthday card to my son - I taped it - When he got it directly out of the hand of his postal delivery person - It had been opened and the gift card had been taken - Have heard issues on next door about the this facility in kingwood - someone needs to investigate
My husband was stopped on his bike bc he saw a delivery truck stopped. Post Office delivery truck reversed and hit him. Then yelled out it was my husband's fault and drove off leaving the scene ( hit and run) , failed to render aid. of Burning Tree. In Forest Cove.
Worst customer service. I've been shipping for yeeears for my business and this lady that looks like Wanda Sykes tried to tell me how I'm suppose to package and label my boxes lol uhhh no! Y'all are public servants y'all work for the public show some respect.
Anytime I get a package from usps it is delivered to another house. 100 percent of the time. I put new numbers on my house and the mailbox and it still fails. My wife's wedding gift is now at someone else's home thanks to the hardworking driver in my area.
Arrived at 9:45 for a passport... Passport hours are 10am-3pm Mon-Fri ONLY. It’s 11:23 They haven’t even began to see people. No one has come to assist us or tell us they will be starting soon. There’s 22 people in line waiting. This is ridiculous.
Very disappointed. Please do not try and get your passports here. We waited for 2 hours with both kids to get our passports. There were 20 people ahead of us when we arrived at 1:00, and we were the next to be seen at 2:59 when they cut off
Awesome staff here! Went there this morning to get passports and was expecting them to start calling at 10 which is when the walk-in hours start, but they were calling passport customers at 9:00 when the office opened. Took about 15 minutes
I would give this location 0 stars if I had the option. This place is a DISASTER. The customer service is HORRIBLE. I moved to a new home that did not provide the mail keys so i had to request new keys. I was told I needed to place my mail
Today was a busy day in the Office with a lot of people needing various services. Donna S. was a Shining Star of an employee. She had a great attitude, loving respect, and moved quickly to address and “triage” everyone’s business, so that
I spoke with Donna at the post office when my mailbox would not open with my key. She sent someone out the next day and had him change the lock and give me new keys. No charge to me. They are so awesome that Kingwood post office.Thank you!
I asked when they do passports and was told you can just come in anytime between 9:30am- 3:30pm M-F. So I came in on a lunch break and waited an hour! I was the only person waiting for a passport and I saw several people come in after me
First of all you're employees are not very prompt and eager to get the passport line open since it says on your website open at 10am. Not busy in the least because it's 10:23 and they just FINALLY called the 1st person! Very frustrating
Went to pickup a package that they were unable to deliver to my doorstep. Normally dont have any issues but when I arrive 5 minutes after they open it shouldn't normally take too long. After 30 minutes of waiting for a staff member and
I no longer feel safe as the male clerk the only one people complain about. Watched me leave with out helping the 20 people in line. Hi yes I was the woman wearing a mask and got verbally assaulted as I went to put my packages on the
Horrible Horrible Place. If I could give -0- stars I WOULD!!! The PO Box Package Pickup Window is ALWAYS a 10min+ wait or DEBATE amongst workers discussing WHO SHOULD GET THE PACKAGE DOOR and that's just the Regular ISSUE.
I came at 2:30pm the line was not that long and they were very efficient. The lady was really nice and answer all my concerns and even explain me things on detail. The location is clean and plenty of parking space.
Exceptional… 1 day shipping is actually 2 day shipping. Same price though don’t worry Clerks are in a great mood, leaving maybe, otherwise not really a pleasure to deal with Opens late, moves slow, come prepared
I received a box of mail and packages after Thanksgiving that was from May. Sad sad sad. My husband was waiting for a prescription and it took 5 days after the date it was in the system to be delivered.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Post office does not follow rules well at all. Christmas time they had many lost (saying delivered) or tampered with packages that people had complaints about.
Bad service, rude staff. These guys should go to Huffman post office and take some notes on what customer service is to learn to smile. Doesn’t cost a thing! Avoid this post office if you can!
I loved this place and how they helped me so much with my passport ☺️ they were so patient and very respectful.
Nicest people in all USPS here. Every time we visit, each person has been kind with a genuine smile.
The drop box needs servicing - it’s always locked or jammed. Many wasted trips to this post office.
On my 10th call. Still. No answer. Pretty rediculous.
