I've only been into this location a couple times but they're always friendly and helpful. But the real kicker for their 5 star review came today. My kids missed the Santa mailbox on the Circle, so I had them put their letters out for a mail carrier. Firstly when he picked them up a few days ago, I saw him look them over and smile and say "how cute!" I honestly didn't expect anything to come of it because they were so late sending them out. But today a different mailperson came after our regular carrier and dropped off little red envelopes. They were addressed to each of my kids and contained a card from Santa and the Mapleton post office, their original letters, and a GIFT CARD! This was such a sweet gesture, and we really appreciate it. They didn't have to do anything at all, but they decided to go above and beyond. Thank you to our regular carrier AND the carrier driving around on Christmas eve who made time to bring them these letters. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Mail carrier delivered my package to the wrong address and knew his mistake and tried to go back and retrieve it and he was not able to and the lady whom it was delivered too tends to steal packages and the postal service failed to issue me and refund even though it was the carriers fault my package was delivered to the wrong place because he was not paying attention to the address. So not only am I out of a package, I am out of money as well that I can not get back because the package didn’t have insurance on it. All the managers did for weeks of me dealing with this was tell me false information on what would happen and nothing happened. I will try my best to never order anything else if it requires being delivered through USPS. Poor customer service

this office consistently gets my mail (same city) to me in roughly 10 days when it should take no more than 2. i have checks mailed to me from a downtown bank which is sent on a specific day to reach me no later than the 15th each month to pay my bills and my bills have to be late every month because this location is holding my mail there. i track these checks from the main USPO downtown in Indianapolis only to find that the MLK office has had it for days. can i file a tort claim because this office is making my payments late and i get charged a late fee?

Poor customer service AND had been open for over 2 hours and refused to cash a money order that was less than $50! The young short girl was rude, and wasn't even trying to answer any questions for me as well as she walked away from the counter, I thought she was going to check on something for me, but didn't come back for a little while. She must have thought I was going to leave because she was shocked that I was still standing there and instantly was like "nah we ain't gonna be to cash that"! Again.....poor customer service and lack of professionalism!

Stay away. The two employees behind the plexiglass were not wearing masks. When I called later to ask why not, the supervisor Tracy told me that her postmaster says that someone does not have to because they are behind the plexiglass. Of course, they are not sealed in behind the plexiglass, and there were two employees behind the same glass not wearing masks. Disappointing. I tried to get hold of someone via the 1-800 line but could not get an operator and got lost in the phone tree.

I am giving this 2-star rating because of the Post Office's hours of operation... they're ridiculous. 9am - 4:45pm!! By far MOST people work 9 - 5 jobs, so when people like me order something to be delivered to my apartment... and they can't fit into my tiny mailbox so I have to go pick it up... I have to go OUT OF MY WAY to either go into work late, or leave work early... It's absurd. Before living here (downtown Indy), I never heard of a post office with such ridiculous hours.

I DON'T KNOW WHO THIS WITCH THINKS SHE IS BUT I WILL DEFINITELY BE BLASTING THE TRASH TREATMENT I received FROM THIS IDIOT TODAY, ONLINE.

Walking into this USPS for 30 seconds put me in a bad mood. First, who the heck closes at 4:45? I was looking for a post office where I could drop off a prepaid package on my way home from work. Thought it must have been a mistake when I saw that it closed at 4:45. Walked in at 4:52, was rudely greeted, but was allowed to drop my package on the counter. Walked in and out in 20 seconds, didn't say a word, and will not go back.

Sherri (clerk 72) is the BEST - please send her to your Linwood location to train. They need it and she’s got it…kindness, patience, knowledge, skills - ALL of it!!! Sherri - you are an absolute gem and a pleasure to work with! I will always go out of my way to visit this location because of YOU! Thank you so much for reminding me USPS rocks!

I have always had great service at this location. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Negatives are the sometimes long lines, lack of any types of vending, AND occasional panhandling on the premises which is usually promptly addressed. All in all a nice and efficient, effective, well run post office!

I did not realize how nice the staff was until I visited two other Post Office in Indianapolis and was treated like dirt. If you can, AVOID the post offices on 55th street and Carolton Ave! I’m telling you, it’s worth the drive to just not feel the way the staff makes you feel at the other offices.

Have been shipping product for the past 2 two weeks and never disappointed me lines move quickly the longest line I seen there was about four people and took about 5mins tops for me to ship something out and leave great people too recommend times would be around 12pm-2pm weekdays

Worst postal office ever. I made two prior complaints about my postal carrier leaving mail and packages outside apartment doors in my building because they're being stolen....no change and he still does it. Making my complaint to Washington DC now

this place sucks so bad if your mailbox is small they wont go to your door or to the land lord office they will take it back to the post office and give you a final notice on the first delivery there way pass terrble at there job....

This MAPLETON branch is the WORST PO I have ever visited. The ONLY employees in that branch that exhibit ANY Customer Service are SHELLIE and PHILLIP. TRACY, the "manager", and HEATHER are BOTH RUDE, INSENSITIVE, and UNPROFESIONAL.

Service there is great. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Sometimes the line is very long . When this happens an additional clerk comes from the back.

I accidentally put the wrong stamps on 60+ packages and the staff was patient and efficient in helping me correct my mistake. Very thankful for my experience!

I've been living in my residence since June 21st and the mail carrier just won't come to my mailbox IDK what's going on....
