Newly renovated to increase in size, it's so nice to have a large bookstore in town. Before the nearest was about 45mins away so love having one so close. The only downside is there isn't a huge range of Young Adult books which are my favourite and very popular nowadays, and the price of some books can be really quite expensive, however I know small business can't compete with large corporations, but when money is tight sometimes the only option is to get delivered by a cheaper store, but if I can support locals I will and would much rather give to locals instead if possible. The girls in there are very friendly and always happy to give suggestions and chat about the latest book releases. The gift wrapping is really nice too and some of the books are beautiful and very different to what you get at the chain stores.

I dropped into this bookshop on my drive home from a weekend away, but now I feel like I'm going to need to return to Healesville all the time. The person who helped me was so lovely, incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about books (particularly YA LGBTIQA+ titles) and even offered to speak to the librarian at my school to make some suggestions about titles that could be added. I can't wait to read the titles she suggested to me, which I purchased, and I'm looking forward to returning to the store in future.

This review relates to a book I purchased NOT Verso. I purchased 'The Smart Veggie Patch' by Terry Memory. Thinking it would assist me on my journey to learn how to grow vegetables. The book is a waste of time and money. I do not recommend it. Three quarters is devoted to social economics about food production and when it finally gets around to taking about vegetables you would need to have a spare $20,000 to follow the suggestions. Totally unrealistic for us mere mortals. Do not bother to buy it!

Every town should have a charming comprehensive book shop, one that is the heart of a community whilst being a coveted location for visitors to the area to journey to. Verso is all that and more. Carrying a range of books, the breadth of which is impressive for the size of the shop, visitors are cared for by an owner and her staff equally passionate about service, warmth and most importantly reading. I can’t wait to return.

We visit Verso all the time as it's my daughter's favourite place to spend her pocket money. Today we were buying a gift for someone and the customer service was fantastic as always. The staff offered to gift wrap our purchase, were friendly and cheerful and they suggested an exchange certificate to pop in rather than needing a receipt. Has always been our go to for gifts and today reminded me why!

Magic happens when you read a book. I love this shop. It supports locals. They also have australian made greeting cards and locally made greeting cards. They have an excellent rewards program to keep you coming back. The locals are lucky to have this shop on their doorstep. Lovely staff are always very helpful. Good choice of books and delightful unique gifts.

Such a beautiful and well considered little bookshop! They have an excellent children's section here and the staff are very knowledgeable in making recommendations. They also have strong sections in Design, ecology, women's literature and indigenous history. Very easy to find gifts here!

The longer Verso Books has been open, the better it gets. I rarely buy books anywhere else now. This little shop is beautiful, bright and has an excellent, diverse range of books, along with beautiful locally made jewellery and a small range of clothing. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Customer service lacking here. I'm not a local and was in the area and love a good book. One worded communication with no substance at all. Served my purpose to buy a couple of new books. It's as simple as that. Don't expect much.
