It't not often you could really rate a business for turning you away. However i called Balmain locksmiths with a need to have an internal broken lock fixed during the weekend. I didn't need anyone to unlock it as i was inside the building at the time, but after calling I found out I just needed to swap the lock over which was a simple procedure. I told the person i spoke to that I really couldn't afford to spend a lot of money to get it fixed as it was an internal door and i could do with our the lock (but would prefer not to). Instead of trying to pressure me into enlisting their services, i was told that if i had a basic amount of handy man knowledge that i could replace it myself and save myself the money of enlisting their professional skills. That kind of frank honesty is rare to find amongst trades people, and the advice that i was given for free to fix the problem myself certainly endeared a huge amount of goodwill from me. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Vortex Locksmiths arrived straight away, which was great. On arrival the service man had a bad attitude and a very negative demur. Despite this I was very happy that i was able to get into my home so I was very thankful. Anyway I couldn't find my keys straight away (20 seconds of entering the apartment) therefore I agreed for a new lock and 2 new keys. Within 60 seconds I found my set of keys, I told him straight away that I no longer needed a new lock.. I paid 120$ and he also CHARGED me for the extra service that I did not require. His reply was that he is late for his next job. I used an extra 2 minutes of his time!! For this reason you should NEVER use this service.

Accidentally locked ourselves out of our apartment and both our real estate agent and strata couldn't provide a key due to it being the weekend. Called one locksmith who charged a high call out fee and wasn't at all helpful. Then called Balmain East Locksmiths who offered a reasonable rate and was at my apartment within 10mins. Couldn't pick the lock but had a special tool which allowed to push the door handle down on the other side. Made a difficult situation one of relief and would happily recommend them! Very happy customer

Accidentally locked myself out of my apartment when leaving for work. Was pretty desperate for a locksmith at short notice as i was running late for work and my work keys were in the apartment which i very much needed. These guys came through and got me in my apartment and on my way as fast as i could have possibly hoped for saving me from having a very bad day.

After accidentally locking the keys inside the house after a night out, every locksmith we called couldn't make it out to our place until we found Vortex - who were there promptly and within minutes had us back inside! An excellent job at a ridiculous hour of the night/morning!

Rang Vortex in emergency after 4 other mobile locksmithsvservices said they were busy. David arrived within 30mins and saved me from diffcuilt situation getting a pad lock off a trailer where we'd lost the key. Worth every cent..thank you

Tried to call due to a lock out in the middle of a business day time, was told by a guy that they are busy and not able to help me, which is perfectly fine but he said it in a very rude way. Please get some proper admin team!

Called up and they literally arrived in 10 mins after hours Would highly recommend even got through my anti pick lock in under 2 minutes Quick service and fair priced.
