Possibly the most abhorrent customer service i have ever experienced. After having paid $25 for items which was processed by my bank, i was told i couldn't have the goods because of an issue with THEIR system! I was told to come back in 10 mins as the transaction will bounce back out of my account!! This has happened before she said! Not filling me with confidence i must say. Waited the 10 mins as suggested by the woman behind the counter with transaction still sitting in my account. After offering to send the money back if the transaction did in fact come out i was told in no uncertain terms NO! On more than one occasion. I was then told by her colleague i was being Passive Aggressive, clearly the woman was a trained psychologist, not sure why she was working at WH Smith if that was the case! No solutions to my problem, just NO! BAD LUCK!! Let's just say the transaction is still sitting in my account and WH Smith Head Office is well aware of what happened. If i could give a zero rating i would.

WHS smith at airport in Melbourne, staff attendant at self service was rude and aggressive and belittled us in front of everyone because she would not honor 2for $5 water on self service screen as there where signs up 2for6. Out of doing the right thing as a supervisor she refused to honor the price yet argue and say to us your going to argue over $2, but that’s not the point it principle and then started yelling at us in front of other customers and our too small children and has started our holiday poorly given that poor customer service experience. Note this store is the one closest to hungry jacks. The lady had light brown hair,160cm Caucasian

Attempted to make a purchase, tried to approach the counter but the horrible rude woman behind the counter was busy with a personal call. When she eventually figured out what “Sarah” was up to on Friday night in detail she scanned our items but the sale price didn’t come up for but one get one half price adapters. She proceeded to argue with me about this including raising her voice and pointing her finger. Even going to the shelf and arguing that the marked price was wrong. Eventually giving us the sale price reluctantly. What a horrible woman and a horrible experience.

We bought a book on Sep 13th at Tullamarine International Departure Lounge at 9am and 3 minutes after paying for it we were accosted and accused of shop lifting by the Shop assistant who sold to us. We were barely offered an apology after an embarrassing and upsetting incident. You know who you are, be careful next time before you approach and accuse people of shop lifting, tempted to name you but everybody has a bad day sometimes.

Very strange...WH Smith from Woolloomooloo NSW charge in my card for $12.48. I am from Victoria and never visited to NSW since last 3 months and never to this place and store. When tried contacting, no one is bothered to answer phone. Looks like they are finding new ways to earn it. Will lodge a complaint with bank now. So be careful in dealing with them. Looks like they keep the records of your cards.

False pricing and poor service. This magazine is advertised as 13UDS and I was charged 26AUD. The current exchange rate should have equated to 17-18aud. Ripped off and above all else when I confronted the cashier, the bs excuse I got was “well that’s what we charge here” um....not good enough. Change the price on the magazine. A little sticker saying 26 dollars doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Good selection of books, snacks and travel accessories, open quite late as well. Losing stars because they’ve added a few card-only self-checkouts - which then automatically add a surcharge if you use a card ‍♂️. If you’re going to save on labour costs and make the customer do the work, while also forcing them to use a card, at least have the decency to waive the surcharge.

Staff ask 'cash or card?' When you reply card they tell you to do it yourself at the self check out. 'Is it hard for you to do it for me?'....'no, but you can do it yourself'. 'Well, it's now harder for me, don't worry about it, I'll leave it all here & you can put it away'. Service eh!!

Guy next to me asked why there was a credit card surcharge. He got a sarcastic reply, 'because we want to rip you off of course!'. Would've brushed it off as a joke, but they were talking smack about it when he left.

Went here to buy a mask last minute after I forgot mine in the cab coming to the airport due to all my nerves travelling after two years! They kindly reopened the shop and sold me two cloth masks. Phew!

21 dollars for a sandwich and a can of soft drink. These people should be ashamed. Store clerk was very nice and friendly. To suggest that 21 dollars is a rort is an understatement.

Leftwing Bias selection of political books, a balance would better, especially since many conservatives writers are NY times bestseller s. Please improve

WH Smith saved my bacon as it had engagement gift cards! Great selection of stationary and conveniently located for people flying into Tullamarine.

Had to wait for a staff member to even be at the counter, and paid $5.29 for a flavoured milk. Terrible newsagent

  • MAMEVIDAT

Large young lady working there was rude... it's so easy to be nice! Especially when someone is being nice to you
