This is my favorite Walgreens in New Orleans, been here over 10 years. I have received nothing but warm smiles, greetings, and pleasant attitudes. Everything is always well stocked and they are prompt when you need an item. Everything is clean and consistent. These women put up a lot from the drunks and the tourist and always seem to remain professional. I don't know why people are complaining they only will give you guff if you're threatening their safety. Also I see complaints of there not being a bathroom. Don't you all understand, this is the French Quarter, if they had a bathroom the homeless would be in there all the time doing whatever they want. Keep up the good work y'all
I have been using this pharmacy for the last year and a half. The pharmacist I usually deal with, Mr. Gerard, has on more than once driven to another Walgreens the next morning on his way in to work to get my prescription, so that I would not have to wait for the next shipment. That is customer service for beyond the call of duty. I also run into many neighbors from the Quarter picking up their pills there, so obviously it is popular among the locals.
I find the Walgreens on Decatur is a shell of what it once was. They do not have a pharmacy and do not fill or dispense prescriptions here. The stock levels are pretty low on most items and a lot of the merchandise they do have is under lock and key. They did not even have AA batteries on my last visit. This place is okay for the items they have, but there is really not much here anymore.
I just needed some body wash. It was locked up. I had to wait in line and ask for help to then be told to find a button to push for manager assistance. The makeup wasn't locked up. The sunscreen wasn't locked up. A $3 container of body wash locked in a case? Really? Just put it at the front of the store on an end cap in direct line of sight of the cashier. Inconvenient and annoying.
Walked in to get a cold drink during my visit to NO on a hot muggy day. The cooler was broken and it was noticeably warmer inside the cooler than outside. Staff didn't seem to care. All the drinks were left in the "cooler". Would not buy anything from any place that doesn't take something like this seriously. Definitely don't care about the quality of what they sell.
Showed up 10 minutes before store was supposed to close and the employees had already closed up shop. When I asked about their sign which said they should still be open they would only say they were closed. I was in dire need of medicine and had already walked for 15 min items to get there and all for nothing because the lazy employees wanted to check out early.
The pharmacist refused to administer a 3rd Covid-19 vaccine in spite of the CDC recommendation that imuno-compromised receive a 3rd shot. He went on to explain the basic 8 month efficacy of the vaccines which are not applicable to the imuno- compromised. Very disappointed at his lack of knowledge and not receiving the additional vaccine per the CDC guidelines
Excellent staff. Clean store. Everyone from the staff working the front registers to the beauty consultant, Miss Morning, to the staff stocking to the amazing, kind, informative and pleasant Pharmacy Staff including the caring Pharmacist made my experience worth coming back and making this my store. Thank you! Kindly, Angela in NOLA
Do not place online orders at this Walgreens. They will cancel the order and not inform you. This has happened to me three times at this location. We placed an online order last night at 5:18pm and this morning still haven’t received any information about pickup, or more cancellations. Go to CVS across the street.
They sent me a message to tell me I had prescriptions ready. I went to get them and the pharmacy has gone out of business. No notice. They wanted to send me on a 22 block round trip walk to their crime ridden Canal Street location to see if they could help. Not in this lifetime.
Worst pharmacy in the city. When CVS on Decatur closed went over to this one. It is terrible. Pharmacists are lazy, and do not care a smidge about the customer. The ladies in the front are fantastic. Every cashier is engaging and friendly, but the back needs lots of work.
I'm an employee from Georgia and this Walgreens offers it's bathrooms to employees and that was a great service to receive. Another Walgreens I went in did not offer the same service so I won't be returning to that one during my trip to New Orleans. Way to go team!
I frequent this location 4 to 5 times a week, for nearly a year now. Some of the staff know me by name. After the experience I just had, grabbed by a manager on the street and accused of stealing a $6 bottle of saline, I will never return.
Prices seem a little backed-up, but I guess it's no shock. I felt like I was being followed by a lady who worked there. It was a decent enough place to grab some Tylenol and film, though, so yay for convenience when and where I needed it.
They closed the pharmacy permanently without any notification, so now we have to walk all the way to Canal street location in 100-degree weather. I am transferring all my meds to CVS and will never shop with you again.
Many products such as laundry detergent are locked up. So you have to ask for assistance and the assistant then may come, or not. Good place to buy beer and water and cookies, but not for products that thieves like.
I'm disable ,and I ask to use the restroom, and they refuse too, I understand that they are located in a area ,of many drunks walk around, but it was the attitude and nasty, I will never shop at any walgreens ever.
Went in store to buy several items..... I was unaware that Walgreens was in the unarmed robbery racket.....prices were triple of any other legit convenience store. Also, try stocking your store!
Customer Service Oriented Specialist in the Cosmetic Department. Everyone who works at this location is Awesome! I live in the French Quarter, and this store has it going on!
I love this pharmacy. They are fast, friendly and go above and beyond always. Fabulous compared to other pharmacies. You can get someone on the phone quickly also!
I purchased two items, one a prescription, so I paid at the pharmacy. The gentleman working was very friendly. It was a quick and easy transaction! I'll be back.
I was picking up a Western Union payment and I asked for the restroom and was told they have no restroom. Avoid this andplace if you can. there
I usually love Walgreens but this is the worst one I've ever visited. The staff was rude and not very helpful. It wasn't also well stocked.
Not something I expected to see in the heart of the French Quarter but oh well. Typical Walgreens experience with no complaints.
This pharmacy is the worst The people there don’t want to work They can care less about you being able to get yer prescriptions
A weird place to find a Walgreens, but right there when you need it. The inside was really messy when we visited.
This is a small location but they have all the emergency stuff one would need out of a location in the quarter.
Incompetent cashiers most days. If they could at least admit they didn't know it would be understandable.
Sold us mouldy bread today. May sue if get food poisoning. Out of half the store items as well. BEWARE
The Baldhead girl by the name of Saysha was very nice and helpful. You all need more workers like her.
Natasha was soo sweet and enjoyed her energy! Roomate and I loved her! Thanks Natasha!!
Expensive and no restroom for customers. You're better off going to CVS across street.
Had the items I needed in stock. The gentleman in the front was very, very helpful.
No public restrooms, and the staff is rude. I will be spending my money elsewhere!.
This Walgreens refused to take a passport photo even though they have the machine
A lot of empty spots on the shelves. No alcohol sold here. Staff are a bit surly.
You guys should have a security! There’s a lot of SHOPLIFTERS!!! I fee unsafe!
Mrs Catherine at the photo section is always professional and compassionate.
Just your regular Walgreens but no parking lot.
Best walgreens in the quarter
1 line open. 20 min wait.
