This is the worst Walgreens in the city! NEVER have I been able to pick up ANY medications (even when the prescription was called in earlier) in a timely manner. Like other reviewers said, there's always a LONG line, one cashier and at times, two people just hoping you don't see them so they don't have to do another thing! The photo center is just as bad. Their photos do not always come out consistently good and they always say it's the lighting of the photos we took and there's never anyone at the photo area. And, this last time, I called to see if they had the kiosk for unused medication (I called beforehand because this place really STINKS), the person on the phone said absolutely yes. I get there and guess what? They did not have one! So not only are the services there awful, the people are really NOT BRIGHT and PRETTY LAZY!

I never felt so invisible had script transferred from oakforest walgreens at 3:57pm I informed the man at the register that I would be waiting for my sons antibiotic he said 15 to 30 mins. I walked around the store and picked up a couple items went back and sat down in front of the pharmacy. It was busy how ever I observed people coming in with scripts in hand and having their meds filled with little wait time as I sat....and sat. Bottom line I got fed up stood up with my hands up. That got some attention. Ended up drop off 357 they couldn't find his antibiotic at first. Paid for it it 5pm. Then had to wait even longer for the lady to mix it up. Out at 510p.m. I believe diversity training is needed at this location.

The Indian guy names Patel at the cashier provided the wrong information and bad attitude. I buy 2 items that met the requirement for Buy 1 Get 1 FREE (mix & match across BOGO Free brands), he said, all the items have to be in the exact same brand. I asked him to doublecheck by scanning the cashier machine 2 times, but he rejected me 2 times, he kept saying, he knows this promotion has to be the same brand. Then I spend 30 mins to double check online and ask other employees, and finally, I checked by another cashier and got the 2nd item free without any issues. Time wasted. PLEASE RECONSIDER HIS POSITION AND HIRE THE RIGHT PERSON who at least doesn't stop customers!

worst customer service. lady told me what i was looking for was in an isle, after i already checked, went down the isle to double check again for it, it’s not there . then MADE ME WAIT AGAIN IN THE ALMOST 25 MINUTE LINE EVEN AFTER I WAS THERE WAITING IN LINE AND BEEN LOOKING FOR ALMOST 45 MINUTES ALREADY! I ASKED 2 DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES, BOTH VERY INACCURATE. VERY INCONSIDERATE STAFF AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THEY KNEW I WAS THERE FOR A LONG TIME AND DID NOT CARE AT ALL!! WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION. ID I DIDNT WANNA GO TO JAIL ID THROW THE OTHER ITEM I HAD AT THEM. SHE ACTUALLY PUSHED MY OTHER ITEM BACK AT ME, RUDE AS HELL!!

I moved my prescription to this Walgreens when I first moved to the South Loop because it was the closest. The line to pick up is always at least 15 people deep and I choose random weekdays during work hours to go. I'm so tired of waiting a half hour to pick up a prescription that's already ready. They don't have enough people working the prescription windows. They have tons of people working, but hardly any checking people out at the pharmacy or in the front of the store. Also, look under the fixtures. This store is filthy. Because I have to stand for so long to wait, I always notice how dirty the store is. I'm moving my prescription to another store.

Refused to honor a rain-check. The assistant manager Johny Hui said he can not honor it. Another employee Alex Alvarado told me that there are special codes that only store manager can put in the computer to honor a rain-check, so he told me to come the next day. Then I called the manager, Jennifer Ng the next day, she told me to bring the rain-check so that she can see it and said she will be in the store till 7PM. I went there at 6:30 and she was already gone. My 4th trip to the store and they keep coming up with excuses so that they can avoid the agony of honoring the rain-check that their own store issued recently.

Been trying to pick up my medication for the past 3 DAYS!!! They always have one damn person on the register !!!! They always take 10-15 minutes per person!!! It shouldn’t take that long to pick up!!! Always a like of up to 10 people!!!! I had all my medication transferred to a different location because of this but my doctor sent a new prescription to them so I don’t have an option but to pick up there!! This is absolutely ridiculous and thus location needs to close or hire more people, Americans because it has turned into a Chinese translating service and not a pharmacy !!!

What everyone says is true I was not even in the store for 10 minutes and my car was towed while i was shopping IN THE STORE. Manager was super unfriendly and said Walgreens had nothing to do with the towing, accussed me of leaving the store, and was super rude. Refused to show me any evidence that I was in the store the entire time. Will definititely sue or complain super unfair.

Don't ever go to this Walgreens in chinatown chicago, CAR WILL BE TOWED NO MATTER WHAT! Even if you go inside of walgreens to purchase an item. CAN'T SHOP NO LONGER THAN 10 MINS or else your vehicle will be towed. Some worker in the store says " the parking lot is not their property " Will cost more than buying items from walgreens when your car is towed!! Don't waste your money

I don't know why this place have such a low rating. It is just like any other Walgreen. They have bilingual friendly staffs, and the pharmacy is super patience with all the elderly people who go there to get help with understanding their medications. It might contribute to the long wait, but you can't blame the elderly trying to keep up with their mountain of meds.

Check your prices before coming here, they overcharged me for passport photos. I was in a hurry and I need it 4 passport photos. She changed me 13.99 per photo !! I paid them over 55$ for 4 passport photos. Later I found out that their passport package comes with 2 photos for 13.99$. NOT 14$ per photo. They need vigilant training and stop ripping off costumes.

Worse pharmcy ever... went in 5hrs aftery script was called in and they told me it would be another 45 min.. really? ?? Then the tech cops an attitude bc I asked why It took so.long.. she says bc they didn't have my "info" but they were able to find my info considering this is the main pharmacy I go to... they need a new staff . If you park your car there after buying stuff from their market, your car will be towed. That will cost you more than two hundred dollars. They say there are some people waiting and watching the parking lot. They will tow your car immediately after you leave it. Don't risk doing this. P.S. Only the Walgreens in Chinatown area does this kind of thing.

I was at the line and was asking how much money was the chocolate I was buying was because it didn't have a price there and she told me to get lost, to check how much it is somewhere else. What a crappy way to treat someone right. I was going to pay for it to but she didn't want to give the price so I left the Chocolate and left the store.

I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. It is in Chinatown and has a unique vibe given that for most workers English is not their native language. I shop there often and feel the staff is friendly and helpful. The waiting line for a prescription is often long but find a time when they aren't busy and it is manageable.

Racially profiled in candy section. Typical "help in aisle x" on the speaker(when there is nothing going on in aisle x) showed up, after I noticed an worker look at me. Another Walgreens worker came and pretended to focus on products, working her way up from the opposite end of the aisle. Do not waste your time or money.

Eh, it’s fine if you need something in a pinch but it attracts a unique crowd. Plenty of loitering around the entrance and in the parking lot. Cashiers certainly dislike their jobs and are not friendly in the slightest way. The store itself was clean enough with a decent selection and average prices.

Wonderful jewel. These people cared. My western union messed up and they had more ideas than any other walgreens about possible errors. They also do not mind letting you use the restrooms in a pinch, and allowing you to stay/ get out of the cold waiting for your ride. Muah! ;3 solidarity. A blessing!

Norman is a very friendly pharmacist and I just got a vaccine from Vicki who is a very cordial and conversational pharmacist as well as gifted with a needle. Didn’t even feel the poke and zero burn with the injection. Thank you both for your skills and training during this pandemic.

there is starting to be a homeless person problem here. I usually give to be down on their luck every once in a while but there is a guy there now blatantly harassing people. I don't want to be the person to call the cops. This is the homeless that does not need to be helped.

They did a great job with my photo poster print, and I am very happy with the results! The Walgreens website did have issues sending the order the first time and it was very glitchy, but the employees handled the situation very professional & courteously. Thank you very much!

Not sure about the low rating and expectations. When I went, it was just like any other Walgreens. I went at 8:30am on a Friday. No lines and employees behaved as expected. Just like in any other big city, the parking regulations are posted clearly.

i live within 15 minutes so the wife and i always walk here unless its raining. They have signs posted everywhere if you leave your car will be towed. If you do not follow their rules and your car gets towed then its your fault not the

Overall not bad place was relatively clean with prices to be expected in Chicago. At 9:47 am the place was packed and only one cashier and called for assistance but nobody came while I was there. If in a hurry might want to avoid.

Very convenient walgreens for your needs. Large selection and customer parking space. For some reason they do not sale beer or liquor in this walgreens. But they do sale grocery items. The young guy cashier was nice and friendly.

Good selection of items for a traveler. I was staying at a nearby hotel and was able to get the items I needed from here for my stay. Staff was friendly and the store was clean.
