Love this cafe and the location. Have never had a problem with them before. On my last visit I arrived after a big group of bike riders so had to wait some time while they all placed their order. That was ok. I got to the front of the line and then we were due to be served and the owner was making the coffees and asked the people in the line after me what they wanted then I was asked to step aside so they could pay before me being able to place my order. I was horrified. That is not the way to treat customers. That is why I am only giving 3 stars when I normally have given 5 stars. Have not been back since. Not happy.

We liked the location and waterside setting immensely, and the menu was full of interesting choices. Service was good and my meal (fish and chips) excellent. However my wife's chicken shaslicks weren't properly cooked, one in particular having raw chicken on the inside. She should have complained but didn't want any trouble. She later came down with a salmonella type infection and had to be treated by her doctor. However she is fine now although wary of chicken products. It's a shame because everything else was just fine including the coffees. Maybe check your chicken shaslick inside before eating? Cheers!

Disappointing we had to wait over an hour for our foccacios. The manager said everyone knew there was a half hour wait, but we weren't told! I appreciate he was short of staff, but it would have been better to inform new customers of the situation. Also, the tables needed clearing- of dirty crockery was left for at least an hour. I've been coming here for quite some time now, but might have to reconsider ar least for the timebeing. Our foccacios were also very small for the $20 price tag.

Beautiful setting of a lake,trees and bird life. Lovely meals, a good selection of sweets to have with coffee. Tables both inside and out spaced well apart from one another making it very comfortable and relaxing to enjoy good conversation with friends. A very nice walk around the lake. Very enjoyable outing overall.

Waterways to me is a cosy ; friendly; cafe to enjoy a full meal or a light snack ; coffee & cake perhaps. Situated in a picturesque natural water lake A spot where you can be at peace watching the water birds & other varieties. All in all a delightful break from the mundane things in your life. !

First visit to Waterways cafe Lovely cafe with beautiful views. Hot chocolate was great. Nice outdoor seating with delicious cakes. If raining plenty of indoor seating. The Nest cafe definately worth a visit after a walk around the park

I had dinner at Nest with friends last week and was pleasantly surprised. The relaxed atmosphere was excellent as was the perfectly cooked steak and wine list. Looking forward to my next meal at The Nest and would recommend it to all.

Nice little Cafe. Tranquil atmosphere. Enjoyed my coffee and BLT. Will definitely go back again.

The outside seating is just gorgeous! Waterbirds, the lake meandering around, plenty of good food and thecwhole atmosphere was great. I already reccomended it to several friends.

Absolutely excellent i can highly recommended the nest cafe great food great staff and a very relaxing atmosphere i will be heading back there very soon good value for money

Wonderful Cafe with great food, drinks, coffee and even wine. Lovely location and the owner Mark is friendly and delightful. Highly recommend for takeaway or dine in.

Waterways is off the main drag, beside a large lake - but the locals are on to a good thing here. Perhaps it's a good idea to book!
