Best fish and chip shop in Wynnum/Manly. Not a fancy shop (reminds me of old takeaways from childhood days) and doesn't have eftpos but their food is amazing!!!! Fish, chips, hamburgers, Calamari - everything is delicious. Bacon burgers are fully loaded! Plus they are polite and friendly. Their fancy pants counterparts on the esplanades could learn a thing or two from this place. They are not on the foreshore but the waterfront is a short drive away. Worth it for the food. Good prices as well

Went to waynes take away to to try it out after reading the reviews we drove all the way from jimboomba we ordered fish chips calamari crab stick and seafood bits I have to say the calamari is some of the best we have had the serving of the food is unbelievable you get so much for the price and so fresh and tasty don't let the look of the place turn you away the food they serve is awesome you have to go try it we even took our left overs home to reheat in the oven as it was just that tasty.

Daughter now lives in Wynnum so when I was there one month ago to help with renovations, had a hamburger with the lot for lunch. BEST takeaway hamburger ever! Egg, bacon, cheese etc all for $8. And plenty of chips for just $4. We were back there last week - hamburgers are still the BEST and then a few days later we opted for crumbed fish and chips- nice sized pieces of fish and very tasty. (Note: cash only, no plastic card) Nice work, Wayne!

Good fish and chips, very clean, very pleasant service. Toilet were available when I asked if there was such a service. Very clean and opened by owner on my request. Parking outside or on the small complex of shops or across the road. Very good service

Battered cod best in the area. Yum !!! Every other shop in Wynnum area sells horrible cod except for this shop and I have tried every takeaway since living here. Calamari is delicious, great burgers , Very generous and run by a lovely friendly family. Don't judge a book by it's cover. May not be trendy and on the esplanade but their food is way better than their fancy counterparts. Take cash, no eftpos.

Always the best foods. I personaly favor the works burger with out the egg.

Decided to try Wayne's on a rainy Sunday after craving some hot chips, we got the cod pack with chips and salad and an extra piece of cod. The meal was fresh, well seasoned and SO delicious. It was well priced and the sizing was generous. The chips were really tasty and well seasoned. Don't let the store front deter you from trying this gem of a take-away joint! We will be back! :)

I saw the great reviews so I decided to try the food and I wasn't disappointed. Great service, great prices and great food. Keep up the good work.

If you like nostalgia when chips came by $2.5 for a scoop then you're in for a treat. Homemade beef burgers and piled on top for the works. Works burger with beef, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, pineapple, onion, bacon, and egg for.only.$8!! Amazing old school corner store takeaway. Owners are lovely and genuine.

Old fashioned Fish and Chips and Burgers Takeaway. Quality of all food is very good. No fish on display in the glass case, which means it is as fresh as possible. Nothing preprepared - so expect to wait a while for it to be cooked.

BEST BURGERS!! We had the works burger and fish burger. Great value and both burgers were fully loaded so good and their chips are great too. Always nice to support a family business. This place will be our new local take away!

Do not judge a book by the cover. I had a hamburger and chips with a can of soft drink for $10 dollars and what a great burger it was and could not eat all the chips, huge serving of chips could of feed 3. Highly recommendable

Last week I was here when our ship berthed at Port of Brisbane. Delicious Chips and burger! wanna know the name of the Vietnamese couple who are very accomodating.

Has always been the best fish and chips and burgers in the area. Great value for money. Chips are always cooked just right. Best takeaway calamari I've had.
