A young lady staff at deli really has serious attitude problem. I went there today at 1:40 pm for ten pieces of Chinese/Buffalo chicken wings. It should be $10 for 10pk as I have purchased many times before. However she insisted it's $1.5 individually so sumup should be $15. After I pointed out her mistake, she yelled "do you want it or not?!" I showed her my previous e-receipt, yet she still yelled at me saying there's only pack price for 3/6/9pk. Then the other elder lady staff showed her how to find the 10pk price in the system and printed the right price tag. She just threw the pack on the glass top without saying anything or looking at me. She might be new here and I don't want to blame her for the mistake. But her attitude is terrible. Isn't it basic manner to be nice and calm to others? Woolie wanted customers being nice to staff, but staff should also be the same to customers! Before me, she served a white male customer politely. So I assume she was rude just because I am Asian? If so, such racist behavior shouldn't be tolerated in Woolworths. Otherwise I really don't know why she was such rude. All these can be checked in your surveillance system. I have talked to a manager at the scene. I hope Woolworths will train their staff properly in the future.
This Woolworths is very good. The store has hand sanitizer which creates a clean environment. However, the decorations in the front of the entrance is too low, so tall people may need to bend down to enter the store. The organization of the shelves is good, but could be improved on. There is a lot of loose empty boxes which would need to be clean with the price tag removed. So it would make the store look fresher and cleaning, appealing for customers who would enter this store. The price of products in this store is alright. The customer service is not great but alright in my opinion as sometimes there is not really anyone to go to when you go to the deli section of the store. In the self serve checkouts, it is extremely slow to purchase your items if you need help. For example, there is sometimes no one to assist you in the self serve checkout as they are no where to be seen.
The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, often under enormous pressure along with dealing with some difficult and abrupt customers. However, it is the young Manager whom I have personally found to be extremely rude and inattentive on several occasions and I have left the store totally smoking hot. It hasn't been so much about the substance of the issues, which have often been quite minor, but rather his manner of dealing with customers. While he continues to be intent on speaking over customers, pushing his own predetermined point of view and dismissing customer issues outright as if the customer has somehow just decided to make up a fictitious complaint just for the fun of it because they've got too much time on their hands, this young manager is simply not suited to this extremely challenging position.
I shop at this store regularly. Most of the staff are reasonable to deal with but occasionally there's the exception. Today I had an "encounter" with a very rude female staff member in the self serve area. The t shirt slogan "I'm here to help" was not applicable to this staff member. I reported the issue to WW on FB but based on some comments about the manager, I'm not confident that matter will be appropriately handled. This is not the first time I have experienced rudeness at this store. I also shop Coles and have never had a problem with the staff. The other issue at this store is the constant amount of empty spaces. Obviously there are ongoing supply chain issues but often I can source the products not to be found at this store from other WW stores.
I totally loved my shopping with very friendly staff, easy access, security, full selves and great prices. Awesome very kind and friendly staff. No lines just hassle free shopping experience, as it always WAS, Until this year! I had given 5 star, until the change business practises and hours! Deli put sign up with times, after complaints, yet put new hours up, yet CLOSED and not open at all. Empty selves, No registers open, unless you ASK, . Management are to blame here! Not the staff. SHAME WOOLIES. I’m a a customer of since this Store has been here, spend thousands of dollars,. MANAGEMENT NEED TO ALL be on same page as their STAFF! ! I still shop there, yet NOW, No More!
This place drives me nuts. I get things from here that i can't get at another supermarket down the road... The parking is irritating, flow of traffic from the main road easily becomes congested. The front parking needs a remodel. I dread coming here, as it's always awfully busy all times of day. The area may need another one, as it services all the suburbs nearby. The people on the self checkout are always really friendly and up for a chat. Makes exiting the store as fast as i can a better experience.
Went shopping here for 30 minutes and in that period we saw 6 people without mask and countless number wearing it under the nose or chin! When Woolworth staff member was informed of this, she stated that it's beyond their powers to reinforce. I thought it was all our responsibility to do the right thing so that we can still be out there supporting the local businesses and keeping ourselves safe as well as the people we may come in contact with in our day to day activities!!
Went shopping at 6 am sun 22nd of Jan. As I was walking into the store had a woman ask me to give her a lift to scoresby rd. I was quite disturbed by this. I went in to shop and saw the woman walking in and approached a customer service person asking if she knew her. She said no and didn't seem to care that woolies customers are being subjected to people like that. After I did my shop she was still out there. Is woolies at all concerned about their customers safety!
This store is one of the most active I've been to in a while. They are an eBay Click and Collect store Andy they always run the big fundraisers, events and special collections (such as the cards and stickers). They try to support the local schools in the area and surrounds. Nothing dramatically more than any other offer the train other than they seem to be quite proud of what they do there and the staff are always friendly.
Quite a number of the yellow discounted/clearance tags are not placed according to the items. The Mr Chen's ginger prawn dumplings had a spring roll half price clearance tag in front of it. I ended up buying the dumplings at full price instead of half price. Along the isles, there were also a few other items in which the yellow tags are not placed according to the items. Shopping should be made easy and not tricky.
I called in early this morning to buy bread. Bakery staff were still slicing and bagging their fresh bread. A young man asked if he could help, then very politely and helpfully organised a loaf of bread to be cut to my liking. He and the young woman who brought the bread both apologised for the delay, which was quite minimal. A very pleasant experience after getting stale bread at another Woolworths two days prior.
Parking can be a bit difficult, getting in and out particularly, there's enough parking that you can always find a space, but the entry/exit off burwood highway is always difficult. As for the shop, it's a good sized woolies, and it's really handy that it's open 24/7. The only times I've been caught out by that have been some public holidays, like Easter and Christmas. (but you can't really blame them for that)
This was a great central store, recently upgraded and open 24 hours. Now it closes at midnight which is pretty inconvenient and unpleasant whilst being rushed through when there's still plenty of time before 12am. Bakery section here is all over the place. Huge amounts of waste (food, plastic, money) on overstocked items while other items are rarely in stock. Head to Mountain Gate for better Bakery goods.
It's a new store so it's pretty shiny and fancy looking but the staff here are really wonderful. The atmosphere here and the fact that you're not likely to die by being run over by a soccer mum in the gracious carpark make it a much better experience than other Woolworths in the Knox area.. also it's open 24 hours.. for when you absolutely need deli meats at 3am I guess? (No judgement from me)
Woolworths Ferntree Gully has a wide range of products including gluten-free foodstuffs. They offer reusable bags from 99c and usually have at least 4 registers open, not including the self-checkouts. Unfortunately, sometimes their fresh produce isn't always fresh and can cost a lot. As long as you look through the produce bins and check what you buy fresh, it's a pretty good supermarket.
The bakery bread here is the best Woolworths bread I've ever come across. Other local stores bake bread that is like damper- which is not nice. But this woolworths bakery bakes their bread perfectly. Same quality you would find from an independent small business bakery. The bakers here need a raise! (*I do NOT know any bakers or staff who work here. Their bread is just that good.)
Did my online order and 2 items were missing . Online staff were amazing to fix the error quickly and even gave me some chocolates to apologise for the error. My only negative is I wish woolies would do better to answer their calls!. 14 times I had to call and every time minus the last one it just rang out. Will still continue to shop here as great variety and friendly staff
It's still a very nice store in every way plus it's location is spot on but the carpark bitumen resurfacing works that are currently going on and look like they will for another few months are a bit of a nightmare when it comes to parking. Still there's plenty of other nearby locations nearby worst case scenario. I'll up my rating to 5 stars once the roadworks are completed!
Situated on Burwood highway, easy to find. Has all the options as usual - what it did lack in is indian groceries and products, but I guess it might be because of the target audience. For instance, in mernda they have a whole section of products from lentils and clarified butter to biscuits and spices. Having said that, aisles are clearly marked and plenty of car parking.
Woolies with the boys for uni snacks, staff are always friendly and if able to converse with the shoppers for a lengthy time and they remember you. The young male staff were also very handy when lifting things into my car due to an injury I had. The younger female staff however just stared with blank faces and seemed to just want to finish their shift and leave
I love these old arcades which, in their day, would have been ten times busier than they are now. But times change and places like this are only just clinging on, which takes a bit of resilience and a bit of courage. So here's to all the people who work in Dorset Square. Long may they hawk their wares in remote corners of Boronia and other places just like it.
Thank you Cassidy and Angelina for completely ignoring me whilst you finished your personal conversation at the register at 7.10pm this evening. I have NEVER had a bad experience at this store until now. Every other young staff member are fantastic and I have nothing but huge compliments for them. Hopefully you can both learn from your co workers
Went in on a cold Saturday lunchtime to get a roast chook for sandwiches. None available, except for 10 or so sitting behind the glass for a special order. Are not all customers created equal?? And why not have plenty of hot chooks on a cold day? Very poor job. Also the "super soft hamburger rolls" were hard and crusty, not exactly super soft
I don't often go into the large supermarkets as I can buy majority of what I need elsewhere for less.. Today i went in and surprise! I saw many prices have come down. I'll be checking out this Woolworths, as for me it's a one stop shopping place as it has a greater variety and choices than other supermarkets. Parking is very good also.
Excellent Woolies, recent upgrade to facade/car park is fantastic. No steps in or out of store, easier for trellises or amputees like myself. Always a well stocked store, good quality fresh food, large selection in deli, love it. More supermarkets should spend a few dollars and get rid of slopes or steps down area in carpark area
This place used to be great but lately it's been going downhill. They NEVER mark things down that are close to the use by date. The food waste here must be through the roof. Recently did my grocery shop, things like salmon, chicken and other meats only to get home and realise EVERYTHING had to be eaten in 2 days.
Great store. Usually well stocked. The revamp is nice , though I am sure a lot of the prices went up because of it. The new self checkout system sucks though. The old system was a lot better and quicker. This new system has me so frustrated and I have to call the attendant about twice EVERYTIME I go there.
Only go here coz it’s close to home. Love being judged and made to feel like a criminal each time I walk through the door. Manager needs to chill. There is a lovely girl on checkouts, Tayla. Deli needs more variety and to maybe rethink their hot chicken cook as mostly there’s none for sale.
You guys have an absolute gem of a staff member. I was struggling, and she saw that and helped me me. God bless her soul, because I needed help at that present point in time. Thank you! You are amazing! (Damn it! I forgot her name) please pass on my gratitude …
Woolworths in Ferntree gully is a good place to do shopping in person or online. Nice big open and spacious shopping store with everything you may need. Nice amount of lightning and very tidy. Also got a bws I store on the right of store if you need a by drinks too.
I am a little disappointed that a lot of parking has been taken away for the building works- the reason this shop has been great is it's convenient and easy to park - I hope they don't ruin that feature with this extension. Will there be extra parking created???
A bigger Woolworths store, you will probably find most things here. A large fresh food section, and a decent variety of international foods. All the stock is back to normal. They also have a decent amount of self-service registers and staffed registers.
Since the renovation this store is fantastic. Well set up. I was surprised that the smooth floor made a big difference to pushing the trolley. I normally have a heavy load, but there was little resistance. Silly little detail made the experience easier.
It was the slowest bagging today, it was like every isle took forever. My parents did self serve with twice as much and was finished before I even got started. Register lady was looking at every item as if she was working out if she needed it or not.
A busy place during the school/evening rush, parking isn't an issue normally. However, getting out on the road can be. Being a large store, it has all the required daily/weekly stables. It's a much nicer place since the renovations were completed.
It is good for a Woolies. Well kept and clean with a broad range of items. . Parking is a bit a a hassle - crammed in spaces. Bugs me that they make you put your fresh fruit and vegetables in first to then be crushed by the rest of your shopping.
Very rude customer service today, only one full service counter, the self checkouts and one express counter open. With a baby in a pram and a two year I only dropped in to buy a couple of items. So hard to use the self checkout so opted for
Nicest of the big 2 in the area. Fresh produce is always stocked, a big bakery, a tomato bar! Overall a big place that's consistently well stocked with more variety than you might expect. Lines never get too long and parking is plentyful.
It was pretty easy to get a car space. My trip was just a quick stop to grab a few essentials before heading home. My only suggestion would be to have a register open that isn't only 12 items or less, or the self-serve option. There were
It's a safeway. What can I say? I think they make them using a mold. That being said, when you've reached the pinnacle of supermarkets, why bother changing them around. Great prices, friendly staff, quality products and prompt service.
3 stars , and I am being generous due to the previous GOOD experiences I've had , especially with previous management and a few good staff members that have remained. I have been shopping here for over 20 years and have seen a lot of
Living within walking distance makes shopping easy in a newly renovated supermarket. So many varieties that one needs to be sober to choose lest the colours cause information overload. Some effort has and is being made to prevent
Much quieter today, maybe because alot of people have gone away for the weekend? Easier through the checkouts, no waiting, plenty of stock, no empty shelves. They did move things around though keeping me on my toes, not sure why!
Love this store. Friendly staff and great service. Produce is always fresh and great variety. Love the fresh butcher shop. Ashame on a weekend it's not open at 8am and would be better if a qualified butcher was on full time.
The store is OK, but parking is always a hassle. The car park is too narrow and it feels a lot like playing dodge em cars at a carnival. there is practically a constant blockage of cars trying to jostle in and out of spaces.
The new store is great, lots of new products. Staff great but self checkout is terrible. Peak hour and 4 registers NOT Turned on ??? Theses checkout never pick up my rewards card but the normal registers do??? Not happy.
its a great supermarket, with friendly staff and good service, beats most other woolies. I have been shopping there since 2011, few times a week, never had any issue at all, this is the one i am highly recommend to you.
Everytime I go to shop there I'm finding it more difficult to buy the brands I want...its either select brand and a choice of 1 other brand..I cannot compare ingredient labels. I'm forced to buy that product.
Filthy toilets local specials usually only discarding less than quality goods, fruit/veg not so fresh. But good staff, they work hard and am very fond of them. The stars are for them only not the store …
Best Woolworths store. I have another store closer to where I live, but I choose to travel a little further as the range of products is better and the staff are always very friendly and professional.
One of the workers at the self checkout needs to chill I got asked to check my bag treating me like I'm a criminal you guys seriously need to check who your being before throwing them on the spot
The once reasonable space has become overcrowded with extra shelving and stock. Can't pass along the entrance without giving way to trolleys attempting to get in or out of store. I won't go back.
OK, but wish they would stop deleting items I buy. Don,t they realise everytime they do that, we have to find it somewhere else...and we don,t leave the other stores with just that item.
Was here this morning and had the most wonderful customer service from the friendly staff on checkout 5 around 9am. I think her name was Claire. Extremely friendly and very helpful.
I drive pass 3 other supermarkets to come here. And today Yu-Jin at my check out counter cemented why I love coming to this store. Yu-Jin was Kind, helpful and friendly. Thank you.
Good prices & a great range of products, everything you need grocery wise. Fruit & vegetables are fresh & delicious I'll return …
Well stocked, clean & tidy. Small vegetarian / vegan section which is nice to see in a chain supermarket but could be bigger. Enough registers open that I didn't have to queue
Sick to death of this store changing it's hours. First it was 24 hours, then closing at midnight, then I arrive at 1120pm the other night and guess what? Closed!!
The one thing that stands out is the range and variety available. I do travel past my own local Woolworths occasionally to this story for that very reason.
Went here to buy 13 packets of toilet paper for my fallout shelter and didn't catch the nasty COVID-19. Keeping Daniel Andrew's and Greg Hunt proud …
Supermarket is fantastic but the car park is well let's say very interesting. Filled with people who either feel entitled or just have no clue how to park
This supermarket is very big. Usually had all your needs. Fresh deli, and premium butcher. Parking is quite large too. My go to super around the area.
Great service tonight from the two team members I had interactions with. Both front service desk and back of store members. Cheers to both of you ;)
Big supermarket, open all hours. Gets very busy on Saturday arvo. Good range of most things, bakery is often running low in morning and evenings.
Very convenient to reach and park. A big wide bright store with a lot of room for products display and customer shopping. Good pick up system.
Well organised in fruit and veg, friendly staff and overall the building is up to standard and very clean. My every "stop an shop" go to.
It's open 24 hours, and I can't believe it. Yes, so true 24 hours a day! It was so clean and nice, one of the best Woollies in Melbourne.
Likely the best Woolworths in the area. clean, bright and 24Hours! (Seriously convenient). Curfew hours are a bit poor though 8.30...
Great store and the staff are very friendly . I do wonder why every woollies has different pricing depending on location though.
It's a Woolworths store to the usual standard. Sadly with the usual "inflation" pandemic price gouging by large corporations.
Nice clean & open store with most things easy to find but shelves not well stocked. Great range of fresh produce and meats.
It's Woolies. You know what you're getting. This particular location does have good offerings in terms of deli and produce.
Filthy store and carpark. Evening fill staff were swearing, being racist while ignoring the customers in close proximity.
now requires signing up for a reward card to get things at sane prices which can't even be done at the service desk
Friendly staff and generally well stocked shelves. This is a good store to visit for a wider variety of products.
Good bright store with variety of products. Disappointed it changed its hours and no longer operates 24hrs
Very bloody noisy. When will management of the store wake up? I go to shop, not to be entertained.
Generally a busy store but well stocked and spacious. Staff are generally friendly and helpful.
Nice walk to Woolworths. Big store with plenty of room to move. Regularly go there for sure.
Currently my go to supermarket after recent renovations. Easy parking and free trolleys.
Just another supermarket no different to the others too many self-service check outs.
Best supermarket. I wish everything wasn't so expensive though.
Good store. Fruit and vegetables very fresh. Great service too
Easy to park, stock levels ok. Staff courteous and helpful.
All good quick check outs friendly staff plenty of parking
Fantastic place to shop. Worth a visit when you go past.
Great choice, friendly helpful staff, shelves stacked
Nice supermarket with a good range and well stocked.
Always have what I need in stock, friendly service.
Massive and never empty! Lovely staff around too
Clean and tidy, very helpful and friendly staff
Great store and store is clean and family fit
My favourite place to shop Cadburrys.
Great supermarket with helpful staff
Good, not always easy to park.
Great shop, congested car park
Large shop open till late
Great wee store
