Have been a lifelong Safeway/Ww customer (just a personal preference) & this store has been my local for quite some time. Can't really fault it except I seem to have favoured brands which are obviously a little obscure and don't sell, so they tend to get discontinued. But this would be my only gripe. Unlucky for them the whole little shopping centre underwent a fairly major redevelopment recently which included adding arch-nemesis Coles down the other end (all new, bright and shiny). Sadly new, bright and shiny was all it took to sway my loyalty (tho not entirely). I now divide my time (& dollars) between the two. If nothing else being in such close proximity keeps both of them on their toes. PS: Sadly I DO have to agree with another reviewer about the clientele. The ONLY place in Melbourne where you'll see people in public in their dirty food-stained 3-day old pyjamas. Not often, but once is enough (& I've seen it several times!!). Have they no pride? Or shame? (Or just too lazy and apathetic to care about either?). To be fair though this is more a reflection of those types of people who live in this area, rather than the supermarket itself. They try, but what can you do if feral locals decide to turn up in their filthy pyjamas!! Thank God they're in the minority (but this is why the West has the reputation it does. And even worse now than 20 years ago). (And frankly, if I had the choice I'd definitely be living somewhere else).
This store until 1 August opened at 6 a.m. It now opens at 7 a.m. apparently to meet the way its customers shop. Well it wasn't meeting the needs of the steady stream of customers turning up to find the store closed. There were always plenty of customers between 6 and 7. Not so long ago 24 hour shopping was apparently needed. The cynical view is petty cost cutting. Shareholder review. 4/8/22. Tired of getting overcharged here. Item should have been free under the scanning code. No plastic bags available at registers. Service hete is getting worse. Shareholder review. 26/8/22
I was a loyal customer until my last visit. Staff extremely rude. They demand respect, well respect is gained not earned and goes both ways. Treat people with respect and they will treat you with respect. Store was cluttered with trolleys and staff meant to be unloading were standing around talking blocking product, don't understand "excuse me" they look at you like you're and alien. Worst experience ever, wont be shopping there again, the store manager does nothing when you make a complaint
This is my local...always has been. Being in a high traffic area near a train station you get all sorts coming and going. I often tend to see signs of five finger discounts and open/empty products, unfortunate, but true. The store itself seems to keep up with stock considering its consistency of customers. It's clean and has been keeping up with the times over the years having multiple re-vamps to parts of the store. Staff are friendly and helpful. Car park is ample and accessible.
It was a great shopping centre once upon a time, except for the junkies and drug dealers out the front they intimidate the customers threaten them, do their drug deals. Abuse people go to the toilet out on the street. The police don’t care Woolworths management doesn’t care there are elderly people out there being abusedby these drug dealing junkies, they sit out the front sleep there and do nothing more but intimidate
We visit Woolworths at Hoppers crossing for weekly needs shopping. You almost get everything here from meat to veggies to breads, fruits and all other regular needs. It is close by the Hoppers crossing station and bus stop. You have parking facility and easy wheelchair accessibility. If you do not find something here, then you will get it in other stores inside the same complex. Enjoy the shopping.
Seems a bit bigger than most. It's the first store you encounter after getting of the train so can make the customer service counter quite busy with people wanting smokes. The self check outs are right next to the exit which always causes you to feel like you are doing something wrong as there is a security guard always present staring at you! Large handy onsite parking under shelter.
I’ve been shopping here for 10 years or so, have always interacted with friendly staff. Extremely disappointed at the new process of checking CALD/diverse peoples bags such as myself when I was attempting to retrieve a trolley to do my usual shop. Hope they give cultural training to the entire team here especially security. Horrified, truly. Coles next door may be the better option!
Asked for staff to help with an item and they informed that they sell it in the front. Went to the front and staff at the front say it is not in stock and the app online doesn’t provide correct information with a big smile, very weird. The online store and app needs to be reviewed and updated. Some of us drive a long distance due to these misinformation from the online and website.
For me personally, I prefer Woolworths over coles, But there's 1 department where Coles reigns supreme and thats the Bakery...Woolies freezes some of its baked goods as some of the stuff I've got has not been completely thawed... Woolworths go 2coles and buy a 6pack of cinnamon donuts and Taste what a cinnamon donut Should taste like... and Stop freezing your custard tarts...
It’s a well managed, organized and clean branch of Woolworths. It’s almost a bit better that the one in Williams Landing. The staff are indeed warm and friendly just as in most Woolworths shops. The location, parking spaces and proximity to other service providers in the area are strategically effective. The food and fruits are generally fresh and of excellent quality.
I thought I had reviewed this place already. Nice store, friendly staff. Gets the job done. Plenty of parking, easy to get in and out. Loving all the gluten and dairy free options Woolies has too. The door closest to the other shops is a bit annoying if your coming from the car park. It would be good to have an extra door there do you don’t have to walk around.
Come here very often. It's in a very handy location. Lots of parking, some undercover. This Woollies is inside / part of the Hoppers Crossing shopping centre. Clean and welcoming staff. Sometimes some good bargains to be had if you look around. Don't give the beggars sitting at the front door anything, you're not helping their problem, just feeding it.
Always plenty of parking, has a good variety of fresh produce but price wise not always the best, try the fruit shop within the centre first. Has a great grocery section and always stock lots of products on special. Meat section below average, not consistent with products at all, just because you bought it there once dont expect to find it again.
Normally I am always pleased with my purchase, except today, I bought 2 whole corns for dinner. Excited and looking forward to cook them, I peeled off the layers covering the corn to find both were dry and wrinked inside. I do not feel like driving all the way back to return them, so I threw them away. Disappointed.
Staff used to be helpful and would always apologize if there has been a problem with my online order. Today staff at the counter were grumpy when I approached them that an item was missing in my order and one has been damaged (even before I have left the counter area). They weren't happy to correct their mistake!
Great supermarket, although some things I can't get here & have to go to smaller Woolies to get, I don't understand their stocking principles at all . This has my Woolies bakery of choice, they just know how to make superior doughnuts here & the bakery assistant is super helpful. …
I want to buy a pack of cigarettes. I waited there for about 3 minutes. A female employee with glasses looked at me for a long time and refused to serve me. I turned around and went to tsg to buy it directly. The service attitude is really rubbish. Very bad customer services.
Great place to shop in the heart of werribee.and has all your needs, weather you have special diets to just good eating foods and veg. Or need other items for home or pet or even just for bbqs or party goods.. recomend this place as I shop here nearly day..
I love my local Woolies and the regular ladies who I have interacted with regularly for the past 20 years. It disappoints me when I come across young girls working who have so much to learn from their more experienced, customer focused role models.
I have found that Woolworth's Hoppers Crossing have more products to choose from than any other store in my area, and usually have everything they advertise in stock. The staff are always helpful and friendly it is a pleasure to shop there.
The store has a large space plenty of variety of food too chose from great selection clean and tidey fresh fruit and veg meat also is fresh store is lit up and has a good vibe the staff are friendly with smiles and are their if needing help
Waited 15 mins in the click and collect bay while the staff stood with my order at the service desk chatting. I went in to retrieve it myself rather then waiting any longer for them to finish their conversation. Pretty disappointing effort
Not good. Couldnt find an item...then whe i asked staff i returned to the same aisle. Product was on top shelf and pushed right back. I had to haul myself up and put my hand right in to get it. Also no staff on the floor to ask assistance.
misleading and cheating exchange policy!!! When I wanted to exchange the brand new 3L olive oil can with other products. Their manager and staff told me I can only exchange Olive oil with oil......very disappointed. Don't shop there!
I love shopping at woolworths, but ever since covid 19 I have notice prices have increased, $330 on average to to $500 a shop, it seem like I'm going to have to price things up with other shops on the internet to reduce cost.
Nice big store competitive pricing friendly staff..lol have sneak in funny some idiot stole cpl tins cat food yrs ago even if your in diff idle dont know considered a accomplice. Yep embarrasing. Learnt something new …
What a farce. .no stock. Excuse : (1) We didn't get a delivery. Excuse (2) The delivery came in early last night and we restocked but sold out before closing last night. ..Awesome. .all the elderly had nothing to buy.
Such a wonderful place to shop, whether it's justba quick stop or to do a full grocery run. Always stocked and the employees are wonderful, always willing to go that one step further to make there customers happy.
Do check Use by date guys for perishables. I bought a Nudie juice which was out of date for 1 month.I could not believe my eyes. My wife was pregnant and she had half of it before she noticed the date …
the staff at this establishment were thoroughly useful and knew where the items i could not find were. My only complaint was that i had to pay more then i usually would pay for at Coles for certain items.
Quick to get in and out of. At the train station if you don't have car. Look at fruit n veg and meat prices in the shopping centre speciality stores first often slot less. Also Coles here in this centre.
Jake and Robert are some of the best workers i've ever seen, i really needed a certain product and these guys really pulled through for me, i am seriously in their debt. Thank you Jake and Robert :)
There are no free bags so I struggled hard to fit shopping in my office bag. And lady at the checkout asking me to open my bag and checked what I stuffed in.... Never felt humiliating like this.
Parking is easy store is open, clean, well stocked with quality fresh food, groceries etc and staff are helpful. Marked down slightly only because of regular pricing of fresh produce and meat.
My local woolworthsLove this woolies, lots of stock, always have heaps of on sale meat and veg. Lovely polite workers. Lots of carparks, close to chemist, coles, fruit shop, butcher etc.
Looks a little outdated compared with the shiny new Coles next door. Range of groceries good though and staff helpful. Absolutely hate self checkouts but that's not unique to this store
older lady with long curly brown hair attending the self checkout was leaning on the barrier while the shop was empty, no farewell or smile, or even goodbye. very unprofessional.
Just Shopping,,at least have a quite a few Shopping stores,, haircuts,,coffee,,postshop,,butchers,,Coles,,Woolworths,,health shop,,toilet,, and Close to Train/ Bus Station
This supermarket is well stocked, you get what you wanted and got check out operators by humans… overall prices are competitive and staff are at hand when you need them.
Always well stocked and enough staff to actually serve you at check out. Self serve is dumb i dont work there... I drive extra distance to shop here for customer service
I Am not happy that the staff have put up participants to stop us from getting out of the store we don't need to be treated like little kids …
Plenty of car park, close to station, fairly clean, staff were friendly and helpful, the only concern is outside area, a bit of mess. Overall good.
Served by Julie at checkout yesterday morning. Extremely friendly and polite and made me smile to start the day. Customer service excellence !
Very nice and spacious woolies, it was a pleasure to do the shopping in this woolies . Plenty of car parking and check out available.
Clean store with a good range. Needs a bigger section and more stock for disposable gloves as they always seem to be out of stock.
Fav woolies to shop at, decent size, good customer service and layout. Only downside is the self checkouts play up occasionally.
Fresh produce and a great selection of groceries. Excellent customer service. Lots of parking right next to the train station.
I absolutely shopping here as there is always everything we need not just with my baking skills as well as many others items
I have been a very loyal customer for 32 years. I have found Woolies staff become my family and have seen them come & go.
Okay. Quiet so was able to distance. Also for once they actually had roast chickens. Sad no Halloween decorations though.
Staff are always polite and helpful, convenient great parking easy access and, store floor is always clear and clean.
Slow service staff rather talk about the day they had before or there weekend ,than serve you and 5 other customers
Convenient location. Parking available right at its doorstep. Produce is usually pretty fresh. Highly recommended.
Large supermarket in a handy position. Large car park so never a problem parking. No long queues at the checkout
The staff were great this morning. Even offered to help me take my food to my car. Great service thanks team. :)
I work there I'm bias. But the staff are great. This my first week at this store. I love it. Bias or not. Honest
Decent store, staff members were courteous and friendly even though I was the 2nd last customer of the night.
Ample parking and well organised Woolies compared with some others nearby. Customer Service needs to improve.
It's clean and really well organised here. I definitely suggest stopping in for all your grocery needs
Yep they had stuff I wanted and bought it. They even had a girl working a check out. Truly blessed.
The veggies were all soft and had seen better days. Not impressed with fresh food section at all.
Havnt been to Kmart for about 2 years. Been locked down for most of the time as far as I know.
Always have good stock especially specials. Large selection of bakery and fresh food aswell.
Always spotlessly maintained, plenty of staff to assist while maintaining strict distancing
Well stocked store. Staff friendly and professional. Attentive to customers. Store clean.
Was awesome. No bestfood mayo yet. Been out for over a month everywhere even at Coles lol
At least when travelling all Woolworths are consistent and have most groceries you need
Not a bad place to shop, but brand new coles is next door and it's very clean comparing
Well stocked store good specials, especially the 'strike' branded cleaners they have !
Good sized supermarket. Wide isles. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking.
My local supermarket. Not overcrowded, Good variety. Very friendly & helpful staff.
Quality service! Exactly what you except for a supermarket so no complaints ☺️
Some good specials and items that were sold out at Cole's were available here
Always shop here. Staff are always friendly and help out in anyway they can.
U can choose price between Coles and Woolworths also Small veg and fish shop
Customer service is ok. Mostly Indians work there. Must know someone there.
I like shopping Woolworths because coming through register the staff now me
Shannon is an incredible addition to the store. Great customer service.
very nice shop, wish I lived closer so I could shop there more often.
It's a supermarket.... It could be renovated, but it's not pokey/old.
Store not busy, shelves well stocked...except for toilet paper …
Only 1 or 2 counters are open most of the time. It's kinda annoying.
Always a good place to shop , helpful staff and plenty of variety
Nice and clean. Well stocked. Friendly staff and parking is easy.
Cold meats were all pre sliced, I prefer to have mine cut fresh.
Shannon thank you so much for your help and outstanding service
Quite a big store, all laid out nicely. Clean, neat and tidy.
What’s with junkies out the front asking for money every day
Every day pick up groceries, nice fast and quick …
Just a good store for shopping Plenty space to parking
The store could do with a fresh. It has all the basics
Clean store, friendly and helpful staff. Good variety.
