This is my local Woolworths and so I'm extremely disappointed that it doesn't have a bakery. Although currently receiving a facelift, I believe this to be cosmetic only with no new bakery and no tangible difference to the shopping experience - though this is yet to be seen. A few other things that could/should be improved. 1) enforce the use of the numbered ticket system at the deli - this comment is not aimed at the customers, rather the staff. 2) open more registers - often early mornings or late evenings there are no registers open only self serve. 3) bring back the requirement to deposit a gold coin to use a trolley. Since this was removed the streets surrounding Woolworths are strewn with discarded trolleys because the good people of Mernda are too lazy to return to the trolley bay. 4) this last one company wide - the removal of shopping bags is a joke. The customers know it and the and the staff agree.

I have bought meat from the deli quite often, I don't why I keep going back. My last experience ended with my husband having food poisoning. For 1 thing, I asked for 2 slices of pork & ended up with 6. Apart from having too pay extra, the meat was off which I didn't realise until my husband came home from work terribly ill. He said he thought the meat was off after had a bite from his sandwich. I also purchased strassburg the same day & that was also past it's use by date. And to make matters worse I was served by the deli manager. No more Mernda deli meat for us. Oh, this wasn't the first time I have purchased off meat there, but I just let it go. This was very different with my husband being so ill.

Went today to buy from Woolworths Mernda branch. Total the receipt was 121.82 (copy of the receipt attached). After we saw the receipt found some errors in prices, spoke to the cashier lady "Angela " to find the worst customer service ever from her (yelling, saying bad things and saying that she is giving us free things) As if it is up to her to decide to give us or not. I have attached the a copy of the refund which were all wrong and we had to go away because we were embarrassed of her loud yelling and shouting. Please investigate this behaviour, which is not a good customer service at all specially that we found she was the shift manager when we asked to talk to the manager.

When the new Woolworths at Mernda Town Centre opened I asked at Woolworths in Mernda Villages if the Mernda Villages store would be closing. I was advised that it would stay open so that customers would have a choice of which store they wanted to go to. I just went to Woolworths Mernda Villages. I couldn't locate the tinned Gravox Cheese Sauce. I was advised that this store is in the process of reducing their product range and they no longer stock this item so if I want Gravox Cheese Sauce I now have to go to the Woolworths Town Centre store. Why not just close the Mernda Villages store altogether?

To the blonde manager who worked 27th of December 2020 at 6.45pm I am in disbelief that you would not give me my order that I had purchased the day before and paid for, because it had not gone through your system for pickup. I paid $20 in Uber fees to pick up an order that I had already paid for and shown you the receipt. Yet I had to go home empty handed as your system had processed it. What a joke and a waste of my time and money.

This is Australia's most useless and rubbish Woolies. Only self check outs. Staff is useless and doesn't believe in customer service. When you ask for cash out with purchase they say there is no cash in register. No phone reception inside store for many years. Potholes at entrance of parking which has been apparently fixed yesterday only so no idea how long will this last. If I could -1 I would have no hesitation with that..

Mernda Woolworths is the closest supermarket to my home and I make an effort to drive to Coles instead because Mernda Woolworths is disgusting. It smells horrible and there is NOTHING fresh to buy. You cannot buy fresh food and veggies because of the stench in there. This smell issue has been going on since I first visited Mernda Woolworths back in 2015 so they really need to get themselves sorted and do something about it.

  • Felix Brown

This is my regular Wooly's store and I was very impressed to see they allocated 2 staff to ensure adherence to the bar code scan on check in on Saturday 5th June . I have to congratulate the staff who are generally helpful, courteous and polite. Keep up the great work.....there is however an exception, Angela who seems continually disgruntled, unhelpful, unfriendly.... her customer service brings the store down

  • christine costanzo

Purchased raspberries when I came home I opened them up they were mouldy, the next day I took them back. All they said was do you want to get another one I said no and they gave me a refund, what annoyed me most was no apology it seems they dont understand the inconvenience and time wasted to return them and then having to go to the fruit shop and buy some.

  • AJ

Its ok. I do make an effort to go to coles more though. Most of the employees are nice but a few always treat the middle / high schoolers like shoplifters and we are often have to show them our bags if we bring them in and we now just leave our bags outside so we dont have to waste our time. There ‘fresh fruit’ is often bad mouldy ect.

  • Pamela S

For me it's the safeway that I don't like going to most, they do not stock everything that other safeway do, and they even told me that as I've looked for products in the catalogue and that was clearly explained to me.as with the service, it's a hit and miss, some are really friendly however that's just a small amount …

  • Don Tadixz

Standard Woolworths offerings basically servicing the residents in Mernda and immediate surrounds (There is a similar centre with a Woolworths in Doreen) . Pricing in line with other stores. In the same centre there is also a small Chemist Warehouse, Baker's Delight, Hair Dresser and a take away Burger Bar.

  • Jay Dee

The car park was recently fixed to remove the large pot holes so that is a welcome change, they have friendly and helpful staff in all stores but I wish they would stop allowing those predatory marketers that have temporary tables out the front and harass shoppers who try to enter and leave the shops

  • Faith Hoyos

Not a lot here, wollies/bakery/cafe. Toilets are outside and horrible. No parents room, went back to my car to feed and change my baby as dissabled toilet/baby change was filthy, stank, had flies everywhere, yuk! Really hope there are plans to update with all the development in the area!

  • Martine Fawcett

Good to pop in n grab last min needs but would never do a full shop here its a bit limited on some items threw out but n ok store seems to be always busy in store n carry basket quick chk registers are always slow n busy... n self serve is thr preference of service only down side …

  • Mark Brown

It's ok. Has the standard stuff for a supermarket but not one thing more. The Bakery and deli section is small and disappointing compared to other supermarkets. Regularly runs out of select vegetables and breads in the evening. Definitely not a flagship store for Woolworths.

  • Shakrua Voshumu

Horrible service! After being ignored by two employees finally one answered my question but was barely any help and didn’t even show me where the product was. The smell in the “fresh fruits and vegetable isle” was disgusting I was dry reaching!! Disgusting!!!!!!!!!

  • Kim Mosbey

lovely staff members always happy to shop here. always made to feel welcome. and as soon as they see customer build up at registers they are quick to open up more and get you out asap. as no one likes to wait for ever. we have things to do.. luv mernda woollies xx

  • Matt

Deli section is very limited and so is the Bakery options. The checkouts are generally always understaffed so be prepared to wait a while for a big shop. Self checkout is generally a breeze and always found busy times to be 5-7pm every day, especially Sundays.

  • Paul Ward

Main complaint is COVIDSAFE. Weak enforcement of rules including staff. Several staff actively complain about masks. Sure a team member stands at entrance, but doesn't check that we've checked in let alone if Vaccinated. Staff don't wear masks appropriately.

  • Kristine Mitchelmore

ok to drop in and pick up a few items. Customer Service was lacking but. The assistant decided to serve an employee that was behind me instead of me first. Reported to Woolworths Customer Service training issue here. Prefer Coles over Woolsworths anyday.

  • Kym

No Telstra phone signal inside. Sounds silly but if you shop often here, it's a pain when you can't call someone to check if you need milk, or browse the net for recipe ingredients etc. Actual store is ok, nice and quiet since the Coles opened nearby.

  • Krutika Pradhan

This is my son's go to place... Whenever we're out of the house even if on just a stroll he makes sure we go to woolies. They havve great range of products. Especially I like their deli section, fruits section and range of baby food products.

  • Kristy Lee

Clean and tidy store with a smaller range than some of the other Woolies. Good for small shops with ample outdoor parking. I think this store has been heavily affected by the opening of Coles at Mernda junction. Bread is often 1 day old on

  • Elizabeth Wilson

Woolworths there does not have a great range, lots of empty shelves, not easy to find items. Hoping this is a temp situation due to pandemic. Edit: Second time there, bit more stock. I must say the staff there are lovely people.

  • Bindhu Prince

I generally like this place. But the reason I am rating low is because of one staff's unfriendly and rude attitude when trying to exchange a mouldy wrap. No apologies, no manners...such employees ruin the place's reputation.

  • Mi Mi Khine

They do not have anything in stock, shelves are always empty and they do not restock even after weeks. Feels like they don’t care for customers, completely the opposite of Coles in Mernda Junction. I will go there from now.

  • Wayne Compassi

It's hard to fault a store that has the products you want at reasonable prices, the staff are friendly and the stores layout is extremely practical. I have never had a bad experience while shopping here

  • Shane Egan

Convenient only due to closeness. Lack of customer service. Ask for change I required from cash out. Just a sorry don't have that. Variety lacking of items compared to other woolies stores. Very sad.

  • Jye Darcy

Staff don't always have a register opened, even with a trolley, they will tell you to go self serve. Always check Best before and used by dates as they generally sell stuff close to dates or passed.

  • Daniel Cinerari

I Avoid this woolies at all costs. The entrance area is always covered with rubbish, bins over flowing and generally just ghetto looking. This isn't just woolies fault but it stops me from entering.

  • S & R

Good customer service especially in check outs by a young lady named Kalarni. Worked well under pressure with a difficult customer before me and still managed to be friendly and work efficiently.

  • Wendy De Simone

Finished my shopping woolies last Wednesday, fell over out side tthe shop, caused a huge bump on the left side of my face, fractured left arm and badly bruised and very sore left knee.

  • Heisenberg Thrower

The layout seems a little weird as compared to most supermarkets, but well stocked non the less. Great English food section in the Asian food isle! This definitely is a hook for me!

  • Aditya Desai

Everything like you expect from a Woolies in your neighbourhood. However, pathetic mobile reception inside the store. Just feel like getting out of there as soon as possible.

  • Dale De La Rue

I go here and get what I need.its my partners birthday tomorrow. We are having a get together tonight. So off to get some drinks for everyone.and what ever else l have to get.

  • David Foenander

I found mouldy products on the shelf there today I wish I could post the video I took I wont shop there again and want to warn anyone who does to check what they are buying

  • Benjamin Volk

Staff are great, know all the regulars especially bws. Shame woolworths corporate don't seem to see this store as an opportunity to give mernda customers what they want

  • Richard Stawell

Another Woolworths store full of fresh produce and a great selection of groceries. Add fantastic service and ample carparking and you have a five star store.

  • jacob saieva

I tried to change coins into notes and the rude lady behind the counter said "no we are not a bank" evan tho i have changed coins there on multiple occasions

  • Dan Thomson

Who gives priority parking to the people that can afford expensive fuel efficient cars. What does this give to people who car pool? This is an elitist move.

  • Peter Tzelepis

poor quality fruit vegetables and not stocked well...most items I go to get unavailable...if u go early morning still haven't replenished fruit and veggies

  • John Cowan

I have worked out the secret of finding a small trolley at woolworths. You hunt around the Carpark and adjacent streets until you find one. Works everytime

  • Annette Bowen

There were very few trolleys inside the store in the filthy trolley bay area....would you like us to take up a collection to buy a broom n dust pan?

  • Allan Roberts

I had to return 10 cartons of long life milk with out of date 1/07/2020 and 2 cartons marked expires 1/03/2021 I had no problems returning them.

  • Thegreyseer

Has about everything you'd need and every visits so far has had reasonable customer service. For fans of Dr Pepper, this Woolworths stocks it!

  • Damo Meyer

Close to Home. I always feel uneasy at this woolies. I find the setup weird and have to go searching for products compared to other woolies.

  • Andrew Blucher

This store refused to honour my claim for batteries bought there, which were flat before the use by date. I will not be returning.

  • Mendo Vasilevski

Love the free fruit for kids. Nice layout with lots of room for prams. Always better than Coles. Better rewards system too.

  • chris scott

Nice Woolies not my local so can't comment on it as a place I visit regularly but every time I do visit It has what I want.

  • Ruwan Hettiarachchi

Not much product variety compared to Coles. Sometimes arrogant and unfriendly staff ruins the day end shopping experience.

  • Dobre Petkovski

Had to wait 20 minutes to pay for my groceries 2 cash registers and 40 people waiting to pay on self serve disappointing

  • Transporter185

The Woolworths is like every other Woolworths. Staff are friendly. Situated next to Bakers Delight & Chemist Warehouse.

  • Patrick Burke

I have found the staff to be very helpful and courteous at all times which is quite refreshing in these trying times.

  • Frank Paladino

Why!!! Do the products that we have been buying for the last 40 years are halal like vegimite and Cadbury chocolate

  • pardeep singh

Self checkout all the time ,Staff is useless and doesn't believe in customer service. No staff to help on checkout

  • Tegan Strathdee

Good selection, however there is absolutely no reception inside. Can't look up a recipe or call anyone if needed.

  • L D

They are selling mouldy food. Mouldy sweet potato, bread, canned lentils... it's not an isolated incident . …
