Great location, nice little Woolworths, However... ZERO STARS to the manipulation into getting people to use self check out machines. So they still have a couple of check out with real people, but they put up some ridiculous machine that doesn't allow the staff to receive the money for payment, we have to put the money into the machines, really? What a sneaky way, trying to train people into stop real life experience of shopping by replacing people with machines, and this way training people half way there, probably to remove the people from it in no time after everybody are "well trained" into using self check out machines. BIG FAT NO TO THIS. WE ALL MUST SAY NO TO THESE CORPORATIONS TRYING TO REPLACE HUMANS WITH MACHINES. WE AS CONSUMERS HAVE THE POWER TO REJECT THIS. THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO KEEP HUMANITY ALIVE AND TRADITIONAL VALUES GOING FOR NEXT GENERATIONS, BEFORE EVERYONE GETS DISCONNECTED BEYOND SALVATION.

I shopped here this morning at 9:43AM 19-11-2022. I went to speak to the gentleman at the service desk in the Woolworths here. I would leave a name but he wasn't wearing a name tag. The way I was treated this morning made me so uncomfortable with the rude attitude from the team member serving me that I really just felt like leaving and not making any purchases. The fact that I've lived here for 3 years and have been using this Woolworths ongoingly for that time and never had an issue until today has made me reconsider coming back here. Especially considering I'm paying more to shop at this outlet compared to the other outlets outside of the city. I'd go to Coles down the road or shop elsewhere. As someone who works in retail too, the whole attitude from this team member is astoundingly shocking. It doesn't cost anything to be nice.

Chicken Tenders have increased from $3 to $3.85 and Chicken Wings from $7 to $8.80 - this is despicable price gouging!! How can Woolworts explain price increases of 25%-30% on everydays staples other than exploiting their duopoly to further increases to already exorbitant profits? Greedy big corporations like Woolworth are the cause and beneficiary of the cost-of-living crisis with their shameless price gouging! Where is your social responsibility to keep food affordable? How can you sleep, knowing that you leave others hungry? How can you be proud of your highly profitable business that causes poverty at a large scale?

The Lady Security Guard! She is very nice but I don't think Woolworths company would appreciate her actions. It was lunch time. She was standing far away from the door close to milk section shelf. A cbd office worker went in. Following an obvious someone on drugs. And then I walked in after them. It seemed to me she has started following the office worker to ignore the guy on drugs. He went to biscuit and chocolate section. Cleaned it up and walked out of shop. He had seen me looking at him. He looked at me as well. Of course I didn't say anything. I got my chocolate and went to check out saying nothing

I'm always here. After 7pm I usually find the baked goods are at half price. However, often discounted items don't ring through at a discount so this is really annoying. Often I just pay the extra $2 and get out because I don't have time. Normally, when I ask a staff member to correct it they do, but I did have one tell me I was wrong and said it was full price. A little frustrating. Selection is good with lots and lots of on the go sandwhiches and other suitable lunch style items. Great for people who want to eat a bit healthier without buying at a restaurant.

I was disappointed as Woolies is my favourite supermarket. But suddenly it was as if they had a famine. Everything I wanted they we're out if stock. Then when I finally got my shopping the clerk joked to another clerk about my walking. This to me was plain our discrimination . I have mobility problem and was deeply hurt by Thier remarks . I lashed out and said I'll give you 1 star on Google revuew. They laughed in my face and got sarcastic. But no I'm giving them 1 star and very saddened by a supermarket I once trusted. Go to Coles or elsewhere.

Staff nice enough but the new automatic change machines meant i could't get change in coins because the staff don't have access to the cash register how ridiculous why isn't there a button to give change in coins or an overide, given that the people in front of me had to go to a different register because it wouldn't work with cash (i had a similar experience at a different store last week) these automated change machines really need to either be completely overhalled or at the very least have a manual override

Love this store the service from the guys at the front is great always feel welcomed. There's just this staff member either a shelf packer or cleaner a short Indian looking guy wearing a beanie on Tueday night. He was really rude and almost ran me over with his trolley and started to stare at me. Which made me feel so uncomfortable. This is my local store I go here at least 3 to 5 times per week. Hopefully this is just a one off incident.

Woolies Metro at the Hunger Games/Fury Road end of Elizabeth St is a great little nook to grab essentials you may have forgotten before the ride home. Basic, simple stuff....the essentials basically, with a scattering of Ready Made meals for when you are too over it to put any effort into it. BWS in the corner which I've noticed is always staffed by super friendly staff.

24May19 1243 A smallish store on Elizabeth Street about 5 to 7 minutes walk from the railway station. Has good variety of fresh baked goods, snacks, nuts, confectionery, generic pharmaceuticals, fresh vegetables, meat, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks (not available until after 10am). The self help checkouts are very easy to use. Reasonable prices.

  • Philip Witowski

Good for dropping in quickly, but overall not my first preference for a shop. The store had limited availability of items, and the prices are more expensive relative to other stores. Useful if you treat it as a 7-11 to drop in for something quick, but otherwise it'd be worth going to other stores for cheaper and more varied options.

  • Luisa D'Agostin

I was about to head to the self-serve checkouts but hesitated for a moment and Andrea was super happy to serve me. She was friendly and super efficient. It’s nice to receive service like this as it has been awhile since I have decided I’d like be served by a cashier in a supermarket. Thanks Andrea :)

  • H Burrows

Good range of items for a local convenience store, but prices are higher than the normal Woolworths. Would recommend for quick necessities and snacks but not to do a full food shop, go to the one in QV instead for that. Good selection of chocolate bars which is usually why I'm there.

  • Brent Caldwell

Whilst "Woolworths" has the same items on sale "Woolworths Metro" does not. I asked the manager cant you can price match your own company? And was advised we are "Metro" we charge differentially to Woolworths! What a load of BS your the same company.. You just rip ppl

  • me turns

Nice to visit a supermarket that's organised, clean and the staff go out of their way to help and make you happy , if the competition no more than 80 meters had a clue I wouldn't have been so lucky to visit this store , keep it up woollies you've got me ; thanks

  • Jordan Enchiladas

Me and the misso had had a long day and needed some down time. So we chucked on the block, got a block and called it a night. Fark meeeee this was good. I deducted 1 star cause the bloke at the counter wouldn’t take my $10 crown casino chip from last night.

  • Hafiz ABDUL MOID

Excellent place. You can get anything you need at fair price. I would recommend them to have Hallal meat as well and plus there should be section for hallal food brands or at least they can mention on Brands that it's hallal.

  • Nikhil Karekar

Good quality groceries and supermarket stuff. Store is smaller than the regular Big W. Very convenient for people wanting to grab some groceries on the way to Flinders station to catch train back home.

  • Em sau

Convenient for basic every day essentials, girl on self checkout was a tad rude, maybe find her a job that doesn't involve talking to people, Like stacking shelves? made my experience not that great.

  • Mitch Gelto

Pretty poor customer service here, staff just stand around and look at you while there is a massive line. There’s lots of people looking for work if you don’t like your job quit

  • Gehrminator

Geared up for quick bites on the go but still has a wide range of grocery items & liquor section as well. There's even a coffee shop with bulk purchase deals for city workers.

  • Abdul Hayek

Worst shopping experience ever. Expired products. Don’t trust this place check everything before you buy because they won’t refund it.
