"Infuriating place"
"Woolworths Moonee Ponds reward their customers with a parking ticket! BE AWARE! Went shopping for less than 30 minutes to return to my car getting booked in a 1"
"Usually fine, but not great customer service when there is an issue"
""Late night shopping at Woolworths Moonee Ponds is an experience you don't want to have" I work late hours and often go food shopping just before closing time"
"Standing at the checkout waiting for the next one of two people to serve my partner and I and one of them starts telling us 'you need to join the line' over and over again"
Infuriating place. The last few times I've been there I've used a checkout operator, but they haven't had cash in the till for cash out. This time I used self service checkout. First it asked me to place all my bags on the weighing plate. Then, because I had several, unexpected item in the bagging area. So I removed some bags. I needed two hands to pick up and scan my items, so dropped my crutch. It kept falling into the bagging area, so every time it was again, unexpected item in the bagging area. Please call an assistant. Eventually, after having the assistant visit me every thirty seconds or so, I had finished. I left the store without incident, loaded the car and returned the shopping trolley. No problem walking in to the store, but as usual, as I was leaving the message, Thank you for shopping at Woolworth 's. Our inventory system has been activated. Please return to the customer service desk. Very sore leg still, I'm not going back, as I get this message most visits, and it drives me crazy. The customer service desk has repeatedly tried to find out what about me activates the system. Maybe it's my artificial leg. But why sometimes when I'm entering the store, other times when I'm leaving, but not both. Please stop. I don't like being made to feel like a criminal.
Woolworths Moonee Ponds reward their customers with a parking ticket! BE AWARE! Went shopping for less than 30 minutes to return to my car getting booked in a 1.5P Zone. This Woolies block off parts of the car park for their own staff. Isn't parking for customers? And to think the manager couldn't help at all and said to contact the Council. The ticket people pointed to a tiny sign that no one would see unless you pointed it out (see picture). It mentions Woolworths parking permit. As a Woolworths customer I didnt think anything of it. The Council car park monitors said that the car park is owned by Woolworths and that they are paid to monitor and book people. Recommendation for Woolies Moonee Ponds would be to clearly Highlight these car park spots in yellow and place reserved signs like they do in the city? For my first time visiting this Woolworths, I will not be returning as this is a very bad experience. First fine I have ever received on a Sunday?.I now have to waste my time to get this matter reviewed. At least a warning would have been sufficient enough. This has never happened at any other Woolies. And to think I was going to spend over $200 on a grocery shop here. Glad I didn't
Usually fine, but not great customer service when there is an issue. I couldn't transfer money to my card, as there were issues and was also trying to download Google Pay, but it wouldn't finish downloading. I was sitting on the floor for at least half an hour, if not more. One of the "supervisors" or something offered no other solution than to pay by card. I even offered by bank transfer. Apparently I could've put my number in the machine, as I knew my other card's details by heart. They didn't offer this option either. Instead, the "supervisor" person asked of I was going to be much longer, as he wanted to put stuff back in the fridge so it wouldn't go off, that's what he was concerned about. Not me sitting on the floor, trying to solve this issue for over half an hour. I was exhausted and almost at breaking point. Luckily, my housemate saved me by bringing me my other card, where I managed to pay for my shopping, finally! More solutions and concerns for the customers should be offered and shown.
"Late night shopping at Woolworths Moonee Ponds is an experience you don't want to have" I work late hours and often go food shopping just before closing time. If you want to feel like you or your family are criminals, try shopping after dark at Moonee Ponds Woolworths. The security guard stares at you like he's just about to pounce and handcuff you and in the self-serve checkout section, the arrogant looking woman is breathing down your neck and staring at your every move. Woolworths staff makes you feel uncomfortable and suspicious. I haven't been there for at least a year but as I was driving by on my way home I stopped to get things for Easter, only to find nothing much has changed, same old uncomfortable feeling. We've changed to Coles Moonee Ponds about a year ago for this reason alone without experiencing same sort of staff behavior. I wonder how many other shoppers noticed or felt harassed without complaining? Coles supporter.
Standing at the checkout waiting for the next one of two people to serve my partner and I and one of them starts telling us 'you need to join the line' over and over again. There was no line, we were the only ones standing there while they were bagging groceries. Despite both of us explaining this, we were continually told to leave and join the line that had assembled behind us, now about three people long. I'm not sure how you can be so unaware of your surroundings that you don't notice two people standing there waiting to be served a few feet away, but somehow this woman did. I'm kind of glad self serve is indirectly phasing out this sort of attitude, it is a shame though. Better luck next time, we're going back Coles for a while.
Uncooked bacon in BLT sandwich not fit for human consumption - Health risk Regarding the Moonee Ponds Vic site, I am concerned that on the 30/5/23, I purchased a BLT sandwich with RAW bacon. This is a health and safety concern as raw bacon should not be sold in a BLT sandwich but should be cooked so it is fit for human consumption. This has occurred on previous occasions and I informed a member of staff at the customer service desk a few months ago but felt this was not taken seriously and this reoccurrence shows Woolworths has no quality control or concern regarding this matter.
Appalling service tonight from this store. When I went through the self serve registers, I forgot to scan and pay for 2 items. When I got the attention of the attendant, I asked softly if I could have her clear the screen so I could put them through. She abruptly stated, NO! You’ll have to lift everything off. I can’t help ya!’ I have never had such appallingly rude service from this store like I did tonight. She displayed absolutely no empathy and clearly had no idea about customer service. Management will get a visit tomorrow.
2 days before Christmas and place was a madhouse. Lovely counter staff not only answered my enquiry but walked me over to the aisle to find something I needed for a friends gift. Wished the woman who sold me cigarettes could have been as nice, she was rude and was more keen to gossip to another staff member about her date the night before than to assist when they did not sell my brand and was suggesting another brand to her which I had to repeat 3 times as she became preoccupied elsewhere.
Great place for a shop. They have a small cafe just as you enter, fresh sushi made on premises and other usual stuff Woolworths have. Very spacious, bright and a pleasure to shop there. Downfall is parking. Often need to go around couple of times to get 1. This parking is free. Conveniently located near puckle St. Right nextdoor is a paying type high rise parking, haven't tried it to date.
The lady manning the self-checkout section this evening at approximately 5pm is rude and demonstrated no customer service whatsoever. Just shouting at the top of her lungs that plastic bags are no longer available, Instead of making the effort to direct customers to alternatives which had not been displayed on the usual racks at the entrance and exit of this section.
Unfortunately the store was very crowded today even though there was a queue to get in and a person only allowing people in as people left. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on if I find the same amount of congestion while we are dealing with covid and avoiding close contact. Otherwise I do enjoy this store but for now these are concerns I take very seriously.
As an employee I had the best experience possible. My line manager was Kathy towler. The best manager I had ever worked with in my 9 years career. She was very supportive and treats her team members like a family. When I went for my maturnity leave she gave me a very beautiful gift for my baby and also all team members were so caring in my whole pregnancy period.
Great Store Great Services and Not Only Great Price's?... Great Staff and Good Atmosphere to Shop In Any Day of the Week, I Love this Place, Great Prices... it's a Great Place to Shop... And it's Now My No 1 Place to Shop in 2023... PS I'm Hooked on The Half Price Sales on the Nescafe Cuppachino's Brand whenever they Are On...
This is my favourite Woolworths. It has a great variety of everything and the items are well organized so it just makes sense and you do not need to spend hours looking for certain products. I also love the design, feels very cozy even though it is such a huge store. Extra point for making so many pant-based foods, wollies!
It was open after 9pm, but hard to get into, as many of the entrances were disabled for some reason. When we left the was a couple of young men who seemed under the weather wandering around near the entrance. The store was bright and the staff at the checkout pleasant. It felt safe enough but only just so....
Its ok, the only thing is the 5-6 entry or exit doors they have at the front of the store, everytime I go there the entry is an exit, the exit becomes an entry, then the beeper thing goes off every time someone walks out like you have stole something. An the council needs to clean up that street . Thats it
I really love this branch, it's quite beautiful and conveniently located in a lovely spot near to many other shops with a big parking lot. The timing is a super bonus too(until 12 am). Also they've got coffee machines there which is a plus. Staff are very helpful as well …
Another typical supermarket with all the usual choices of products to choose from. They even have a coffee shop within the supermarket. Car parking can be a problem during their peak periods so you need to be patient. Had a very cheerful and efficient young guy at the checkout.
It's good as far as convenience goes but I am disappointed in the lack of stock on everyday buying. Once something goes out of stock you have to wait a week before it's back. Woolworths always cared about the customers needs. But it's changed since this COVID.
Very big and busy store that has a wide variety of stock and plenty of registers open or people on the floor that are all happy to assist. Also has an excellent car park that is big enough to accommodate for the amount of people coming in and out of the shop.
The food is pretty good, although I'm not convinced it's worth the premium price. Staff are lovely and the service is quick. Is it just another burger joint? Well maybe. But perhaps just a tad better than the rest. I recommend the Philly Cheese Steak.
Such horrible customer experience at this woolies. Every time I try an online order there’s and issue. And today I tried their click and collect service… wow that was a bad idea! Late readiness for pickup, no notifications, missing items. 5
It is better now that they have finished renovations. Hopefully this is the last time they change the store around. One problem is that the milk is way up the other end of the store, so if you want just milk and the papers you have to walk
I do shop here i always check out for reduce prices especially meat section, great place to shop ,they got your groceries need.. varieties of meat, bakeries, toiletries, frozen food with the bottle shop connects to it.Good location with huge
Don't even bother with the click and collect service. The pickup windows are always late, the store and online team obvious don't communicate and I've even had occasion where the incorrect order was placed in my car, which i then had to
Some staff are nice, some are judgmental make you really uncomfortable. Tonight around 8pm of the staff accused me of stealing before she check my receipt! When knows got it wrong just left, without apologize!! Won't go back again
Today I visited the supermarket and to my surprise, it was very dirty with the garbage bins filled and a lot of garbage on the floor, it is a shame that they do not have a cleaning standard according to what it should be
There is a very pleasant lady named Valia and she's an absolute legend and an angel I recommend woolworth better give this woman a pay rise because she makes my day everytime I get served by her. Thanks Valia
Woolworth like any other. Great area for a session however the Coles is much better in Moonee ponds. But parking and location of Woolworthd is better. Good staff. Clean But yeah. Coles gets the 5 stars here
The staff members are really nice at this supermarket. They are friendly on the checkouts and the self service lady helps distract my baby while I put through my groceries. The layout is easy to navigate.
Like all Woolworths stores, they have a good range of products, but the prices are out of control. They do say we have dropped our prices, we'll then they need to drop 25% more right across there stores
Was fantastic until they removed all the bicycle parking spots. The addition of a pick up service is a redeeming attribute though. (4 years since original review and there is still zero bike parking).
Nicely renovated Woolies. Yup, still is. Yup still is. Produce seems nicer at this one as well. Might be an illusion. Edit 31/11/22 love the Market Value steaks. 13/03/23 no market value rump. …
Always able to get a park here that is clise to the entrance. Has the usual selection of supermarket items at usual supermarket pricrs. Used a self serve cgeckout as there were no registers staffed.
I'm reviewing the coffee shop only: Friendly staff; coffee is good and cheap (unlike other woolies coffee). I think they have just recently revamp the sitting area. It is now bright and spacious.
I'm a local and I like this store. Always well stocked, bright & clean interiors. Good parking spaces along with wheel chair accessible parking too. well maintained store and nice staff.
Ideally located, Woolworth Moonee Ponds offers a great range of groceries and Fresh Produce. Close to the main Shopping Strip that is Puckle St, Lots of Parking and Public Transport.
Huge Coles store with 2hr free undercover parking. Stocks virtually everything needed from a supermarket. Conveniently located within Moonee Ponds Central Plaza.
Yo you got the mochi stall, avos for days, bruh you seen the meat section? Woew mama. They got milk, MILK. I wonder where dad went. Cause it wasn't mooneponds
It was a pretty casual looking place. I can't remember if it had parking because I walked in but it was Australian straight out with the goods I need
I love this store. Everything is easy to find and the fresh produce is always top quality, no bruised apples or rotten avocados, it's a great store.
Best shopping store one can find in Moonee ponds, have all range of products, big and clean store, love to shop here! Plenty of parking space.
Parking is easy and the store is as you would expect a Woolworths to be. Clean, generally well stocked and the staff are always please
My regular go to food store. Always running good specials. Clean and well organised. Find it better than coles but smaller..
Arrogant, rude young woman at the counter who appears to be stuck up and judgmental. Give dirty looks, unpleasant.
Big store with lots of variety, does run out of some items early in the day. Lots of parking.
Standard purchase, but received over the board customer service. Highly recommendable.
Nice supermaket near the aparment we were staying. Had a very good selection.
Large spacious well-stocked store with good parking surrounding.
I heard my boy Thomas works here, big up, sick bloke
Pay your staff more, and quit with the price gouging
Usual Woolworths store. Good variety and choice.
Great variety. Good service. Friendly staff.
Quick easy flow of store friendly service
Coffee was average...and over priced!!
Easy parking typical woolworths
All bottle shops get five star
Neat and organised as usual
Lively store friendly staff
