"Woolworths, Mt Eliza has always been a fantastic place to shop"
"They rearrange the aisles every few years here and it takes several months to get used to where everything is"
"Not a bad place to shop although it is one of the smaller supermarkets and now has fierce competition from a super upgraded Ritchie's (which is of course more expensive)"
"Always lovely staff here"
"As far as woolies go it’s a good one"
Woolworths, Mt Eliza has always been a fantastic place to shop. The staff are a very large part of the reason I have become a long-time regular customer, and even given the recent addition of self-service checkouts, this hasn't changed one bit. They're always helpful and courteous, with somebody always on hand to help and no request for assistance being too much trouble for them. They are also very knowledgeable about products, stock levels, etc, which is a great help. And above all, they are a genuinely friendly crew - many know my young daughter by name and they always stop for a little chat with her, making her feel incredibly special and grown up! In this regard, I must give a special mention to Maddy - an amazingly lovely girl, my daughter absolutely ADORES her! She alone makes a shop at Woolworths, Mt Eliza an enjoyable one - and with a 4yr old little Miss, it's not very often I can say 'shopping' and 'enjoyable' in the same sentence, either!
They rearrange the aisles every few years here and it takes several months to get used to where everything is. A number of items I have been used to getting are not stocked here anymore but are stocked at Frankston and Seaford. Most of the staff are really nice but some of the younger male staff are quite pushy and arrogant. One pushed my trolley forcefully towards me in the self check out area saying he was clearing the area for people to walk through. There was actually plenty of room: I was happy to move it myself but didn't appreciate the fact that it could have hit into me or worse, tip me over. A very elderly person may have fallen over. He then kept telling me why he did it as if there was no problem. Very disrespectful and disappointing.
Not a bad place to shop although it is one of the smaller supermarkets and now has fierce competition from a super upgraded Ritchie's (which is of course more expensive). Sadly this branch has also now "upgraded" to self service checkouts depriving the village of holiday and part time jobs which were very useful to many people trying to make a living. It also leaves a huge number of elderly people to struggle with unfamiliar technology largely on their own. There is good parking there though if you don't shop at rush times.
Always lovely staff here. Great selection of items. Store is always clean (ignoring construction time). One thing I love about this store is their triple chocolate cookies that you can find at the entrance. They are ALWAYS, without a doubt, the perfect amount of squishy. I have tried the exact same cookies at other Woolworths stores but they are often hard and difficult to eat. Mt Eliza Woolworths always has them perfect no matter the time of day.
As far as woolies go it’s a good one. Not usually too busy, but still specials if you shop at the right time. Staff are mostly great, does suffer from a high number of younger employees who are perhaps not as helpful with items or slow at checkouts, but like most of the village it has a great vibe. Unless you want something specific and weird it has everything.
I gave it 2 stars mainly because of the poor access to the supermarket the car park is a long way away and difficult to push a trolley on the ground and there are a lot of works going on in the area this has been going on a long time but hopefully it will be finished by the end of the year or the service is good but sometimes there aren't many checkouts open.
They have spent millions on fixing the interior but have failed to train their staff. Every week we spend nearly 200. - 250 yet they shove your fresh food and groceries in the bags as if it is logs of wood. Complete no understanding you are going to cook with this food . Or the staff are busy in their social lifes. Go to Ritchie's ....
Woolworth Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks in a rich red wine and rosemary sauce is really terrible. The Shanks were crunchy despite telling the customer they had been slow cooked for 10 hours! We followed the cooking instructions and felt very disappointed. Please don't sell a product that is horrible, and not as your advertising suggests.
Deli lady so rude!!! Won’t be back!!! Safeway management, clearly your deli staff are over worked and terribly frustrated with serving customers whilst having to do the end of day clean. I would suggest either you close the deli to customers or change the clean up time until after closing hours.
My go-to local supermarket because I much enjoy the simplicity of Woolworths over the somewhat pretentious vibe that Ritchie's IGA gives. However, not a fan of the construction currently surrounding the place! Makes it harder to access and looks very, very messy. Hopefully it wraps up soon.
This Woolworths store is located inside of Eliza Square Shopping Centre. It's a necessity destination for Mt Eliza locals and has been for a long time. Not long ago they had a renovation and expanded the store floor space space with a produce and deli section, looks fantastic.
My Eliza woolies staff constantly go above and beyond. We have moved out of the area but still come all the way out here to do our shopping. The sense of community and quality of products keep us coming back. I feel like this is the culture woolies want far and wide.
Bad experience at the fish counter------------young lad licks his fingers to get a grip on the plastic bag----------yuk-------no gloves on. I complainted to the manager who apologised. That is just so u hygenic--------didnt enjoy my meal that night thinkin g about it.
I have always had a good shopping experience here, clean well stocked supermarket thanks for all your hardwork during the pandemic ✅♀️friendly staff ✅️still a great place to shop …
this store ain't cheap yet it is old, poorly lit and it takes ages to go through the checkout...yet you still pay a premium for fruit and vegies...The refurbishment is taking forever - contractors must be getting paid by the hour....lift your game Woolworths
Just bought woolies free range eggs from local woolies and a just saw how many of cartoons I had to open to find until I had the best not cracked dozen. But great tasting eggs highly recommend for a great diet and a cheap easy breakfast or lunch.
In one word shocking! Only one person serving people with large trolley loads, the rest self serve... When I arrived home, I discovered my shelf items covered with dust. Haven't shopped there for ages and it will be a while before I return..
20/10 Staff spent time helping this lovley lady who wanted some help by finding her a seat as they brought up her items then helped her take her items out, was so happy to see this and is what we need more of. Would recommend to anyone
Have to admit - whilst it's a small Woolies it has everything you need AND the best specials..always lots of things discounted. You can find the bargains in the fridge section near the yoghurts. #yourewelcome. Xx.
Have never experienced this…… ladies working at cash desk are ridiculous. This the second time they make my shopping day at woollies horrible. Explaining myself to the next lady she told her don’t help really!
I've been click and collecting here since lockdown. I always get a great selection and the staff have always been timely and super lovely and friendly. I really appreciate that in my busy life. Thank you :)
Absolutely fantastic service at the fish counter today! Great quality fish - we bought Barramundi - but the standout was the young female staff member who was so cheerful and positive and ready to help!
Possibly going to achieve a world record for the longest ever renovation of a supermarket and car park. Hopefully it's worthwhile as it is a long way behind the standard of most Woolworths supermarkets.
Crowded no social distancing being monitored or exercised. Car park a nightmare i actually parked near the scout hall and walked. Check out staff helpful marshalling people to cleaned self checkouts.
The cafe near the supermarket Richies was so rude I was on the phone but was about to order a coffee then told I could not finish my call but had to move straight away as I was taking up a seat !!
Shame on you Woolworths. No disabled parking spaces near the door. After an incredibly long renovation time, access for disabled is worse! Will not shop here again until this issue addressed.
Just visiting family and stopped in at Wollies for a few groceries We found everything we wanted & more. The store is very easy to get around & the staff are helpful & friendly.
Lots of good specials on lately while we wait for the expansion / modernisation to complete. Seems agonisingly slow! Weekday staff still bearing up, though, a mostly nice bunch
Another Woolworths full of great produce and grocery items. Great customer service but again this store is let down by a small carpark that is inundated during summer holidays.
Cannot get in or out most days, and the slope in the car park allows your trolly to get away from you. Aisles are too close together, making shopping a torrid experience
I love my local friendly store. I go there quite regularly to get my top-up shops. I love the point system set up with woollies as I often get a $10 reward.
Really needs a bit of money spent on it... though the staff are always helpful. Hopefully the refit that they have started will take it up a notch
Just finished shopping at Mt Eliza, Vic, Woolies and their new shopping trolleys (75% reused milk bottle tops) are a delight - WELL DONE WOOLIES
Visited the store with my grandparents who shop there regularly. The car park can definitely be hectic during the festive season but it didn't
Well, this is a small good place hang out.. need to improve more on this place area.. is a good place for relax people to enjoy this area..
Normally I don't like to write reviews which are negative but over the last month there has emerged a pattern of concern at this store.
At the moment works going on in the carpark, and to the store in general, so a bit hard to get too but will be great once it is finished
Great selection of stock. Fresh produce. Fruit n veg. Meat n seafood, etc. Was surprised how crowded it was with Covid-19 restrictions.
Older style supermarket with friendly, helpful staff. Items I dont seen to see I my local safeways was display. Good range of products
Being Mt Eliza I sometimes fine things are a bit more expensive but in general it's good to grab what you want and get out quickly.
Very conveniently situated so is the go to supermarket for our basics in the village. So much better since it’s update!
Shop itself is excellent.. Staff here are helpful friendly and knowledgeable. Lose a star for the carpark. Worst ever.
Seems strange to say but this woolworths is a supermarket. They have a good variety of products with some good deals.
Staff are very good was dis appointed that some customers WHERE NOT wearing their masks andNOT keeping 1.5 distance .
Car park is always full and not many customers in shop.Refurbishment is going on but is not reason for full carpark
As far as woolworths go, this has got to be one of the worst. Small and has a very limited selection of products.
Worst Woolworths. Car park is an absolute JOKE. It’s not safe for able bodied people let alone the disabled.
Amazing customer service. Go above and beyond. Well out of their way to help. I would definitely recommend.
Carpark is dreadful. Shelves often messy and no prices. Today the self serve check out area was a disgrace.
A good place to do a regular shop with ease of service as the people are so approachable & eager to please
Will be good when completed; quite an improvement on the original Safeway store. Arcade looks good too.
It's a supermarket. It's small, but has all you need. Not as expensive as Ritchies IGA across the road
Most of the time they have what you are after, often a little pricier than other supermarkets though.
Deli is great, good variety of offerings. Staff members are great and helpful. Access is always good.
I luv shopping here, Bakery lady's were so helpful and friendly today and it's an easy place to shop.
Friendly staff. Competitive. But stock can run out faster here than at any other safeway I've known.
Good selection but very busy and no self serve means you'll be spending a long time in a queue
Refurbished & now larger supermarket makes grocery shopping easier, more enjoyable and faster.
We're pretty much full on stock and could find a large majority of items for your daily needs
Customer service can be improved more. Don't se this type of service in other wollworth shops
Great supermarket just upset about the cancelling of their affordable brand coffee ice cream
Building works are making access difficult. Range is limited & fruit & veg are substandard.
Excellent experience. Very busy but staff were up to the challenge. Will do Red Gum again.
Great new fitout with cheery staff & enthusiastic customers who love Meredith Dairy cheese
Quick and easy to get to. Plenty of parking, open late, staff have always been friendly.
Easy parking during the Christmas season. Customer service was efficient and friendly
Maybe once they complete their renovations it'll be better but right now its a mess.
Just like all other Woolworths it's a good site with good prices and a good layout.
Clean store, well stocked, friendly staff. Self serve registers running very slow.
Considering it's Xmas time shopping experience pretty good. All shelves stocked.
Great service, good range and specials. Fruit and veg section has fresh profuvt.
Great service and will be even better facilities once renovations are complete.
Good place to do grocery shopping, however could be very busy during weekends.
Great renovation. Now it is a good look supermarket that Mount Eliza deserves.
it's a Woolies. pretty standard but better than the old one which was a joke
Very happy customer got all my ingtrdients for my green curry mafs marathon
Quite small and old, but looks like it's being renovated. Not bad though.
Very friendly and helpful staff but this supermarket is a little small
Quite small but the carpark is big so there's always room for parking.
This Wookworth store is small but the staff are pleasant and welcoming
Two days in a row 7am and 9am nothing on shelves very disappointing.
Good, but not as good as Ritchies, good backup for Mt Eliza though
Great place and great employees that truly care about the customer
Really good supermarket with helpful staff and heaps of products.
Smaller supermarket but has a great deal of stock. And a new roof
Got what we were after, and there were some reasonable specials.
Carpark..nightmare, staff seem almost unhappy to be serving you.
Prices Seem ok Maybe a bit more expensive because in mt Eliza ??
Nice shop, friendly staff, fair sized store, plenty of parking.
Very impressed from a Coles shopper. Think I will be switching
Local supermarket. Prefer IGA but safeway is usually cheaper.
Under renovation at the moment so parkig is bit of a problem.
I find all of the things I need and in a nice spot as well
Good selection, parking could be problematic on Saturdays.
Plesent shop and mt eliza except renovation work going on
Nice, clean, well laid out with good variety of produce.
Nick needs to be given the flick, totally uninterested!
Had everything we needed and had good parking available
Great butcher and good range of stock. Friendly staff.
The most dreadful smell when approaching the store??
