Had a disappointing experience the second time at Woolworths Tarneit Gardens. Once they sold expired diary product and when I questioned, it was easily snubbed off. Today its another one - they have put a basket of Chocolates on sale for $8.80 and sold it for $22.00. I checked the invoice after I came home, since I bought 2 packets, I ended up payng $44.00 instead of $17.60. So, I had to go back to enquire. It is like, "Oh, the cardboard box is wrongly placed, it is $22 dollars. Per store policy you pay one for full price and the other will give for free." So, I informed them even then I were to pay $17.60 and now I will end up paying $22. Then I tried speaking to store manager. He gave totally a different story saying "you pay one for sale price and the other for full price". This would mean I end up paying $30.80. This store is painfully going down on customer service in the name of diversity? Coles experience is much better in such instances. Disappointing Woolworths! hope this review gets your attention.

Rude worker, awful attitude. I asked for help because the cashier machine was decling my card the lady very rudely comment 'press the check out button' and leaves me alone. As I continue to try and solve the problem I asked politely may I try another machine, and I go to try it then she comes over to me and says that's boy how your supposed to do it. Then I realise I brought an expired card and i try to tell her but she keeps on talking to me in a very rude manner. My kids needed to got ot school the next day and I was getting them bread. But I couldn't/ didnt want to insulted and ignored.

Bought chicken drumsticks today. They were rotten and had extremely bad smell. Though they replaced after I went back to the store, still giving 1 star as they're playing with health and definitely the person serving at the meat counter would have known and easily smelled it. But went ahead and still served. Observed same thing with roasted chicken. They serve it even after 5 hours of baking at the same price. Normally other stores would at least reduce the price and sell. It's up to the customer to buy it or not. At least they're would know of what they're buying .

Exactly after a week of sharing a feedback on Woolworths website, and being assured that the Local Woolies Manager has been notified about increasing the stock of the really sweet and amazing Lady Jane mangoes, I found no stock at all! I have tried a lot of varieties of mangoes like R2E2, KP, Calypso, Honey gold and what not. All of them are inconsistent in terms of their taste. However, the only sweetest mango that I liked aren't being stocked in woolies anymore. I am absolutely shocked that such a product is not being promoted and stocked well.

This store was great when it opened but went down hill quickly. The fruit and veg, deli and meat sections have all been halved. Bakery hardly has anything and a lot of the items are thawed (such as cakes). Items I've seen in the catalogue, and even the review items available with Woolworths Bunch, are unavailable. International foods seem to have overtaken the store. Meat is expensive. Store is now having issues with fridges and freezers breaking. I'm not sure why, maybe lack of maintenance. Staff are lovely though, especially Sanjet.

Terrible experience at this Woolies which used to be one of the best and within less than a week it has gone to one of the worst. Trolleys have been locked because of council rule and they have not provided any alternative to do those who are not aware of it and who does who do not carry coins. This is just another ploy for them to sell their $0.35 keychains. And on top of it the staff has gone absolutely rude and indifferent to customers. This is probably because of change of top management. Shame.

I never worked at Woolworths before but I heard this place is horrible to work at, the managers doesn't care about the well-being of the workers at all. Just because ur managers doesn't mean u can sit in the office all day and do nothing and expect all the employees to do the work for you, all jobs are hard but don't make them harder for workers mentally. They are corruption in the work place and someone need to look into it. Most employees don't know who to complaint to.

Today I was using the self serve and the machine froze which led to my coins becoming jammed. I was helped by a young boy named 'Arlou'. He was polite and had a conversation with me whilst he fixed the machine. He asked me how my day had been and if I had much organised for the weekend. Once he had fixed the machine, he wished me a great rest of the day. If i ever need help at Woolworths again, 'Arlou' would be the fist person I would ask.

I get annoyed when i ask one staff for a product and they bluntly say there's none at the back but if lucky I may ask another staff and they are really nice and will come back with the product or even check in the back. Some staff members are plain lazy. And while serving customers the cashier girls are talking about their personal life stories. Like dude seriously no one cares, save it for after serving the customers

  • Jordon Beckwith

Management won't open proper register on a weekday at 2pm. Forced to use self check out with a full trolley over $200, and the multiple times the machine has a bagging error I don't appreciate your staff member checking our bags like I am a thief. I don't work for Woolworths, I am a customer, why am I expected to scan and bag my own items? Multi billion company, put on more staff, treat your customers properly.

  • M G

What ever happened to proper customer service? The annoying part here is never having staffed registers open. Being forced to self serve a full trolley at 10:00am on a Sunday is ridiculous. Self serve is frustrating at the best of times. The shelves are generally well stocked. However the staff need to do regular walkthroughs to take away empty boxes and items like coffee cups and rubbish.

I live close by, and frequent this Woolies out of convenience and have noticed the store manager belittling staff members. She may seem nice in customer service but I believe how you treat your workers shows more about yourself than how you treat customers. It's appalling to think that Woolies would condone such treatment of first line workers. Will try to avoid going here again.

  • anna bortion

I am absolutely appalled at the lack of cleanliness this store has demonstrated to the public and its customers. I have been shopping here for quite some time and on quite a few occasions I have encountered RATS in this store! It is absolutely disgusting and I will no longer be shopping here knowing that vile rodents roam around a supermarket that sells fresh food and produce.

  • vinod malhotra

Go there to shop at least twice week Had my 2yrs old son with I just gave him a banana from section where free fruit for kids as he asked for it When we I was pay on check out lady asked to return it as he didn’t ate in the store. I felt it bit rude So ended up giving it bk . Not expected as we spend good amount every week Rather go to coles if I have to

  • Prashant sukhija

Such a waste now... I go there for shopping since when they opened..But today I had a worst experience ever...One of the customer service girl don’t want to mention her name working in a self check out area around 8-8:30 pm was doing a worst customer ever..I call easily see her doing a bit of race. Will never to go to Tarneit Woolworth again..

  • Roland Selvanayagam

Not helpful at all. Tried to return defective perishable goods bought at another store but they said they can't accept it as they dont stock those items in their store. They suggest i go to the store nearest to me that has the SKU - 20km away or to the store where I bought them more than 30km away. Need a lesson in customer service

  • Bikram Khehra

Every time you visit this store they have NO trolleys available ( picture attached) and they won't open proper register on a weekday or weekend and Forced to use self check out with a full trolley!!! Staff is always chitchatting in the aisles but no one can open a another register to checkout customers!!! Really bad service !!!

  • Mark Vincent

Very close to my place and most often all my basic grocery and household items are available at Woolworths and other local shops. There's a fruit and vegetables store, cafe's, pizza and take away food stores and Chemist in and around the shopping centre. You don't need to walk far to get into any store you wish to shop.

Just wanted say I had an amazing experience with a young employee today. Lina was amazing. She was so kind it made my day . I was having trouble finding stuff for my daughter and she was super helpful and patient and didn’t give up until we found everything. Thank you Lina for making the world a better place …

  • L Nave

Just spoke to Daniel from Store Services Office Tarneit Gardens as my delivery order was missing items. He was extremely helpful knowledgeable and no hesitation in putting into action a plan to fix the issue. Daniel should be acknowledged for his excellent customer service as a Woolworths employee. Thankyou Daniel!

  • Nick

The store was especially busy on this particular day, but I was served by a lovely boy named 'Arlou.' We had a great conversation about the day and any plans we had for the weekend, whilst working fast to ensure I would get home as soon as possible. I always find myself going to his counter now!

  • Vishal Mahey

A huge range of items to select from. The prices are also reasonable when compared with other outlets. Only improvement I feel is that few of the common items gets stocked out quickly, maybe there can be some system in place to restock common items on a frequent basis

  • Dennis D

It's a big Woolies, but the selection of products is so limited compared to other Woolies in other areas. Vegan products are very scarce, the huge amount of space is wasted by the fridges of juice and rice sitting in the middle and always on sale. Very weird ‍♂️ …

  • KodiBoy

The Store Manager is absolutely rude with her colleagues and customers . witnessed she yelling at her subordinates in a very rude way . Is there no action taken by Woolworths against this kind of erratic behavior . Feel really awkward never gonna there again

  • Nucky Setyawan

What is the purpose of having a store contact number when there is no one picking up the phone after numerous times calling. In the car park to collect my shopping direct to boot, but end up waiting for more than 40 mins and still waiting. Dissapointing!

  • Matthew Fisher

I have mixed feelings about this supermarket. It is convenient to where I live and has a good range. There have been numerous times where I have accidentally picked up expired food or produce that looks ok but has actually been rotten or poorly stored.

  • Richard Stawell

The best customer service I have come across at any Woolworths store. New store has brightly lit wide isles and is full of the best selection of groceries and fresh produce. Carpark is adequate for the moment until the area becomes more populated.

  • Dev N Dee

I called at the store so many times may be more than 10 times but no one picked my call, i don't understand if the number is not working they suppose to be fixed it or either update the new one...... very lazy staff, shame on you everyone.

  • Syed Husain

  • Phillip Hayes

Usually good but yesterday staff just couldn't be bothered. No checkout open and when I asked for one to open for my very full trolley it was a big deal. It was like she didn't want to help.

  • Srihari Vijayaraghavan

  • Reema Kapahi (Reema)

Very rude and unprofessional staff.replacing item is actually a big crime for them. No other option near by me otherwise will not prefer to buy something from there …

  • Jayden B

As far as Woolworths go. It’s pretty good. Staff are usually very friendly and nice. Have had a few times deli staff have been rude and abrupt. Always has what I need when I need.

  • Raymond Davey

Got overcharged for oil that was showing a lower price on the shelves but needed it so I got it. But we not be buying oil from there anymore. Definitely be going elsewhere for it.

I like this store, I feel their Vegan products are always up to date and I find new things to try. A bigger range so the prices are more competitive.
