A poor experience - I can't decide whether it was a hit-n-run money grab or inexperienced management. As others have written here and their Facebook page, only 3 - 4 bar staff leading to hour queuing times for drinks that had been prepaid for. Plus they were slow - there is no time to cautiously cut oranges into wedges for each G&T when you have a queue 20 wide, 10 deep sweating with grossly underspec'd air conditioning for this many people. 30 minute wait outside the club in Melbourne's scorching temps, despite prepurchased tickets ($300+ each), obviously to make the queue at the bar even less. Food was supposed to be included but all I managed to secure was one mini triangle pastry thing which tasted stale. We queued twice and we left as soon as the fireworks were over. People intelligently were ordering 3 drinks for each person in their group (20+ drinks at once) so they didn't have to queue again so soon, it was chaos. Some even commented the number of bar staff went up when the prepaid drink period was over. No seats except for a couple of booths for 'VIPs'.

I was walking past with a friend on Friday 11 December 2020 ... yes its reopened and we called in for a drink. Anyway this is a rooftop bar, with a nice view. It used to be called the Blue Peacock. The drinks are standard, the indoor space is BIG, and they have a nice outdoor balcony for smokers. It's a good place I guess if this is your scene, the punters were all dressed up on a Friday afternoon. There were some odd things happening in both the men's toilets when I was there. And my friend told me there were weird things happening in the women's toilet too. Maybe the air conditioning was too high? Interestingly a lot of the spirits were repackaged into different bottles so I don't know if you'd get the spirit that your paying for. I've never seen spirits re-bottled and repackaged into another bottle. So I don't know if the spirits are genuine. Maybe they are, its just an observation. If this is your scene you'll love this place. It's just not my scene.

Venue was really great and plenty of seating which was is big plus given that its classified as club. My only disappointment was the bar staff (either they were straight up lazy or clueless). On the website its advertised that they have an premium list of alcohol available on request. When I asked the bartender if I could see this list as I want to try something different, he blatantly refused and said we don't have it. I then went on to ask him for an expresso Martini ( which is a pretty standard drink) to which again he refused and said he don't make that. ( by this point I knew he was lying as the person next was literally having one). Having finally given up on getting any decent kind of service I asked for a Sav blanc. Thankfully he didn't refuse that but when on to serve it to me in a flute glass instead of a proper wine glass. Overall just a pretty bad bar service experience

The treatment to my guests & to me, it was disrespectful, unnecessary & despicable. From the owner Dale and security. Insulting my guests, swearing at them about to fight an 19 year old for wearing a hat by accident & who made an effort to come all the way to the city and half were turned away even though they are on the list for my birthday. They judged and were sarcastic to all my friends when I was paying money. Also Changed my whole event for two hours late because they had a strip show and told me the day before. The treatment to me and my guests was really bad and I was highly embarrassed. It truly wrecked my night, I'm scared to speak up because Dale was so aggressive. highly don't recommend this place. Rudest people I have ever meet and most shocking thing I have encountered. Need different management and staff

BIGOTED-BIASED STAFF!! Absolutely disrespectful Vanue. I had pre purchased ticket for 2021NYE, AFTER PARTY about 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived to the Vanue, security staff checked the ID/tickets and not allowed me IN, by explaining the disgusting reason, that I have seen you meeting the group of blokes. I explained him, I just meet the guys in the Queue they are my Uni mates. And even though I am having $ entry tickets. He said by buying the ticket doesn’t granteed you to get IN. On the other hand letting the ‘Pale’ mates in without even bookings or purchased tickets. I guess they doesn’t allow you in because of your skin colour or Asian/African background. It’s totally disgusting waste of money. Never recommend anyone.

I went to this place for their Elysian Saturdays opening night, not only did it take forever to be let in but i saw the owner letting his friends without a ticket in before people who paid for one, he also turned away a girl who had 30 people buy a ticket for the event for her birthday because they were “too drunk”. this group was not drunk whatsoever. when i finally did get let in i had two drinks and suddenly couldn’t see, couldn’t stand. i quickly figured out my drink had been spiked. obviously the spiking itself was not the bar’s fault however when i went to the security guard to tell him he just kicked me and my friends out and left us alone. not at all happy with this place and will not be wasting my money there again

Friday after work for the win. Not too busy. Chill crowd. DJ maybe a touch loud, but not a deal-breaker. Good pizza. Good wedges. Great sweet potato fries! More than enough bar staff to keep things flowing. Bar staff who know their own cocktails and make them well without needing to be the kind of showy that just causes traffic jams and doesn't really impress people (you know who are). Bar staff who grab a tray and help you carry out your table order (this is after work, not late night). Plenty of beer options. Balcony is excellent until the crowd comes. One of the last few places in Melbourne to have a cigar and a cognac and look at a great view all at the same time.

worst place I’ve been to, ruined my 21st birthday after I called and called making sure I had a table, after 45 minutes of waiting out in the pouring rain with rude security said that I didn’t have a booking and I had to drop 2 grand for a booth. Not only that but they were terrible about the situation and how they handled it, beyond a joke. Only people that were any help was Monique and Mitch from cocktails and techno from their event before and were so nice about the situation and made the best of what they could do. All in all would never step foot back in the place and never recommend it to anyone. The staff, organisation and overall attitude was a disgrace

I got ill treated from the bar tender. I appreciated him for his skill by telling him that he has done a great job for our drinks and the other guy didn't serve us like him, on the contrary he banned me for saying these things to him. I mean I gave an honest feedback but they want to be stuck with their traditional approach. When we go to DJ and ask him to play a song which will make us dance, he said I am not getting paid to serve you. These were the exact words from DJ. The whole experience was disrespectfull and unpleasant. I paid money to to get entertianed and then i get told this thing.i don't think I deserve this.

NYE party Honestly do not recommend this place. We spent over 60 dollar entry fee each, way over priced for what this place was. The music was horrible (on the flyer it was promised rnb and latin music, which is why we chose this place, but played the opposite music). The drinks were weak and very watered down, definitely not worth the price. The staff were clearly inexperienced, took 10 minutes to make one drink and didn't know what ingredients to use in certain drinks (however they were very lovely). Lastly, considering it was a 30 degree night you would think the air conditioning or fan would be on.

Went there for Halloween Racist bar just pushed me away as I asked for one english or indian song as it’s filled with African songs. I am not being racist but I felt only Black lives matter not any other lives tbh!!! Frankly speaking Asian Dj pushed me for just requesting an Indian or English song which he could have done in a respectful manner by just saying No!!! I am a woman and I dont feel anyone has the right to touch me the way he did!! Never ever entering this place! Feel sad spending Halloween here! Tried reporting to the receptionist girls ddnt help!!!

THE PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED!!! I spent New Year's Eve in the worst place and with the worst attention... on the flyer it said that Latin music (for which we chose the place) and the music was terrible, including the few Latin songs they played... The manager responded to a complaint that we put in the rudest way (not professional at all)… additionally we paid for some drinks which we left on the table to go dancing and they took them new (they did not return the money or the cocktails)

Peaches especially was a scam; I had bought tickets in advance and I followed the dress code however they would not let me in because apparently air forces are gym shoes. my question is who goes to the gym in perfectly clean air forces, especially if you run in them, it's more likely you will roll your ankle . another disappointing thing was that I had seen them let in boys with air forces on social media, which I find very sexist. I would not recommend this club.

Me and my friends went to this bar for the opening week. We were denied entry even though we made a reservation and they denied us because they reached full capacity. However they continued to selectively let people in for the past two hours. They were discriminating against my friends who were dark skinned . They denied us entry for 2 hours and let in lots of groups of white girls. It was disgusting behaviour and please don’t support their business!

This place doesn’t let you in because of your skin colour or because you don’t have any girls with you, even though that we booked 2 weeks in advance!! Waited in line for 2 hours before they told us we couldn’t go in... because they was too many of us mind you we’re all got African background. But it was all good for “dale” mates to walk in without a booking or wait in line... heard so much about this place, just need new management to be honest!!

I went there with a group of friends on Friday. Someone stole my jacket they took the things out of the pocket and gave it to the bartender. When we went to ask about the situation the manager was rude and did nothing to help. The day after my fried realise that they openned her purse too an took things from it. I realise that you can encounter bad people everywhere but the way the manager reacted and how he treated us was disgusting

Charges $20 for entry and mandates that it be paid in cash, but they're unable to provide a tax invoice (hello ATO). Music is way too loud, drinks are overpriced and under poured. $30 minimum on EFTPOS is beyond a joke in 2017, and probably violating the merchant agreement they have with the provider. I suspect the owner is a sad little accountant. I would have had a much better (and cheaper) night at Turf Bar next door.

Aa a hobby I love going around Melbourne exploring and discovering new places and experiences ( rooftop venues) in particular . Daha had a very cool atmosphere and provide some excellent bar options and specials . The strawberry'margaritas on special kept me coming back for more. The staff were friendly and had a very chill out approach . Well done Daha Hasta la vista baby but I will be back for more .

It's a nice place but I dressed alt in platforms and everything and I was walking wobbly because of an injury and the bouncer thought I was drunk ‍♀️ and wouldn't even let my friends go in either and didn't give a valid reason why. Don't go there when Sir fragile masculinity is working (he's tall, white, bald with a beard) (If y'all want to actually hear my story reply to this post)

The Bouncers are abusive. Two big bouncers grabbed my friend and put him in the ground and choked him until he couldn't' breath. They shouldn't be treating customers like this, he wasn't aggressive or tried anything against them. They lied about having cameras to show the incident, and when the cops arrived on scene they said there were non. The bouncers ran upstairs to avoid getting in trouble.

A seriously great bar in the heart of the city. If you haven't heard about it, it's probably because it's one of those places where those that go don't want to share it with a lot of people. Simply put though, this place is exceptional. On any given night, expect to be entertained, looked after and enjoy the sweeping views of the wonderful Melbourne skyline. Recommend highly.

This is probably one of the best night clubs i had ever witnessed. Blue diamond is at 15th floor and you can enjoy the city top view explicitly. The party hall is big enough the DJ is always rocking gets the best playlists personally suggesting if anyone wants to have a birthday party or any sought of get togather party keep Blue diamond as your first option. Disappointed. We were members when this fantastic positioned roof top bar opened a few years ago. Then it was packed exclusive and always interesting. Now it’s often empty as are the people who do go there and the prices are higher than the surrounding shy scrapers. The view is still worth a look though.

In addition to making you pay only in cash to enter the place, the DJ ignores requests. When I pointed it out at the front desk, I was told 'people can ask as many times as they want, only the DJ decides what to play'. Not sure if low standards is the nature of the place or it's a new trend.

There is a beautiful view from this club, it's on the 15th floor, and overlooks the city. There bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. And the drinks were an average price, not cheap but not expensive either. The decor and ambiance is inviting and modern. I will come back again.

One of my favourite bars in Melbourne. Great views. Live bands on some days. Big shoutout to Tarun for his service. If you're not a fan of the noise and crowd then avoid it on Friday and Saturday nights. This is definitely my kinda place for an after-work drink in the city.

It's not what it used to be. Blue diamond, originally famed for its 20's art Deco swing music and era vibe is now just another club. Amazing drinks and staff remain, although the venue itself has only but a view to distinguish it from your average club on the street.

Best part is the huge outdoor balcony with expansive city view but restricted by stupid new laws stopping food service in smoking areas. And as the music inside is very loud - it is not a place for nonsmokers who want to eat, drink and talk. Annoying!

This place has recently changed from the Blue Diamond - not sure if the old negative reviews still apply... But I was well impressed. Service was amazing from the second walking up the stairs, staff were friendly and engaging, with a nice atmosphere.

The DJ is so rude. He literally told me that he doesn’t pay me so he will not play the songs according to us. I mean how are you supposed to get people to come your place then. I will not recommend this place to anyone who wants to dance and enjoy.

An underrated gem. Cant believe im just discovering this place. The DJ was probably one of the best DJ I've heard in melbourne. Food was alright..its definately not a food place but the drinks were well priced and a good variety existed.

Security staff are so so so annoying and i believe the management need to take care about this and re instruct the boys. I haven't seen in my life security so rude like tonight, irrespective what was the issue the security doesn't wanna

A classic hidden gem of a bar, which has a nice atmosphere with very professional bartenders with a broad knowledge of their drinks and cocktails. If you go at the right time, it can be quaint and good for a small gathering of friends.

Worst office Christmas party! During the day it's hot and uncomfortable due to underpowered air conditioning and large glass panels without shades. Also, the music is annoyingly loud so that you can't have a conversation. Overrated!

Our office organized booking for NYE 2021 AFTER PARTY. but they Doesn't let us In, reason we are 3 Guys without any Girls. Totally disgusting Sounds Biased. I noticed they never let you in if you are Dark or Sounds Asian.

Love the vibes at this venue, the staff are on top of things and I really appreciate them mopping the floor of any spills very quickly keeping it clear clean and safe for us patrons. I look forward to each sky disco here.

Penthouse cocktail bar with DJs and often live musicians playing along. Amazing views of the city, reasonable prices and open late. *Edit* I've never been to daHa Bar. My review was for the previous venue.

Amazing atmosphere a venue that truely transforms every night. Great staff and very hospitable would recommend for an afternoon to sit back and watch the sun set and a night followed with great vibes

Went here for NYE party. Crowd was full of juiced up alpha males hitting on every girl. Getting a drink took half an hour with only 3 or 4 staff at the bar. Possibly the worst $85 I’ve spent.

Closed for renovations ! Till Feb 2025 Booked my birthday for December back in July only found out last week by searching through promoters and instagram pages they are closed till Feb 2025

They allow all of their seating to be reserved, so you could end up standing around all night with no chance of finding a place to sit. Other than that is a classy up market type of bar.

Greeted at the entrance by one of the staff members, you are escorted up the lifts to DaHa. The floor opens up to a stylishly decorated interior just past the DJ area at the entrance.

Will not return. The bartenders were uninterested in taking our orders and their drinks were expensive. Dj played salsa music so if you’re into anything else, you were out of luck!

The bar service was terrible. The place was lucky to be at 25% capacity and still couldn't get served taking 30-45 minutes all night to get a drink it was extremely dissapointing.

Cool vibe, we went on a Friday night when they had latin music, very good variety of music. Bit pricey but understandable. Only accept cash at the door which is a bit annoying.

New management, great venue with nice, classy ambience. Music could be a lot better though. Had my birthday party here and will be back at the venue for their latin nights.

Pretty expensive booth and had the smallest table and worst staff that waited on us we had to pour our own drinks and cramped 8 ppl into one small table not bad for a $1000

Can't speak for the cocktails, but other beverages are good and the view is worth every cent. Staff are amazing too, in terms of service and being generally warm people.

The place is really nice but when it gets busy the bar starts to serve you whatever they want, mostly watery drinks and they overcharge you for that too.. Not fair

Awesome tree top views of the city and knowledgeable bar staff dress to suit 1950’s feel. Cigar with a scotch on the balcony is ideal.

Friday 14 May, came around 12 am. Rude staff at the door. We didn't even bother to go up. Rude staff is enough for a one star review.

Great views. Expensive, but all CBD cocktail bars are. Not sure about their dirty martinis but the whiskey selection is great.

The cocktails are really good ;) The food is generous. The music is in perfect volume. The atmosphere is a little mysterious.

Standard drinks $10. Only bottled beer available for $10 as well. Lots of waitresses providing great and friendly service.

Ritzy penthouse bar/lounge, great happy hour menu and that spiffy view... So much potential. Bubbly and vibrant staff :)
