I had got tickets for me, my nephew and husband for Black Panther opening weekend at AMC Dine in Marina Del Rey. I also preordered food online prior to the date of the movie. On the day of the movie, we arrived early but had to wait for the theater to be cleaned..this took around 20 minutes so by the time they were done it was 6pm the same time as the movie. Once we had settled in our seats, a text was sent stating the food would be delivered within 10 minutes after 6pm. So I wait...615...620...634p and nothing. I leave the movie to find out where the food is. I go to the guy at guest services who apologizes and says that the kitchen is behind on food delivery. I ask how is it that preordered food is delayed?? He had no answer. I go back to my seat in the theater...640....655...7pm no food. I go back to guest services and ask for the manager at this point, I am missing part of my movie the second time. Once the manager arrives and share my frustration with not receiving what I paid for and asked why an hour delay on preordered food? She proceeds to tell me that the kitchen told her they delivered the food???!!!! I then said, I obviously did not receive the food otherwise why would I choose to miss my movie trying to follow up with you and your staff??? duh! She then states that the food will be delayed. I had had it, I asked for a full refund of all concessions preordered which was a total of $60 ot $70 worth of food. Believe it or not this was the second time I experienced the delays with preordered food at this theater...it happened once before but I believed that to be an isolated issue....stupid me! I was given the refund but this destroyed my family's movie experience and I will not be going back to this theater. I would suggest to anyone thinking about going to this theater, dont order food just eat at a surrounding restaurant before and after!!

This is undoubtedly the worst “dine-in theater” I’ve ever been to. Let’s start from the beginning. I purchased my tickets in advance, thinking it would save time and make entry a smooth process- wrong. We waited 10 minutes to have our QR code scanned - there was no kiosk to scan our QR code. We went to the theater - it smelled dirty, and the air conditioning was off. I went outside and asked the manager (Trey?) to inform him that the AC was off. When I was walking back to the theater, I heard him say over the intercom that “another guest complained about the AC” - why does it take multiple customers asking for relief for an issue to be addressed? Let’s move to the food. We ordered chicken tenders and pretzel bites, simple. When they arrived, they were dry and at room temperature at best. I ordered sour patch kids candies - never brought to my seat. I went bit back to the manager to let him know, and he told me I was supposed to pick them up from the section across from the bar - there were no instructions on the food kiosk where I ordered. Suffice to say. I will not be back. AMC - do better.

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but somehow this movie theater has a serious issue with false alarm fire alarms going off during the movie. It’s ruined two movies for us now, although perhaps it’s what we get for coming back here again. The first time we went for Wakanda forever a few months ago. The alarm went off and everybody exited. Then they said it was a false alarm and we went back in, only for it to happen repeatedly several more times. By the end they just canceled the movie and gave us refund vouchers. Today, we decided to use our refund vouchers and go see Super Mario. We laughed to ourselves that there was no way it was still an issue, it had been months. But sure enough, about 45 min in the fire alarm goes off and everyone is told to leave. Now we’ve been let back in and they starred the movie again, but not at the right spot. We will see if it goes off again. It stretches belief, but DON’T COME HERE, IT’S NOT WORTH THE RISK.

First time here and definitely like it waaaaay better than the South Bay location. Here, they actually live up to the name and have the staff come to you and bring the food to you. I like that it is a small theater and you can easily see the building from the road. There is no snack bar, so you have to order everything within the theater (again, which is a plus). They have a nice little bar in the lobby and kiosks outside (in case you want to skip the lines). The dine in service does take a bit. I pressed the button and the server came about 8 mins later (perhaps on a break, idk). There is garage parking, free of charge. Will definitely return to this location (provided they are showing what I want to see). I do recommend this location, as there are many shops and restaurants within steps so you can occupy your time while waiting or after the movie.

Update March '23: Looks like pandemic slump is wearing off a bit. The staff is nice and it's clear that they're trying. Hopefully they get back to the height. ---------- They've really stopped caring. There was a time where the food was made with care, came out hot and just before the movie started. Now, in contrast, the food was dry, luke warm, overcooked, and came out during the opening scene. For a movie that has 45 minutes of previews and costs $50 per person, it should come out on time and hot. You can tell that the managers haven't experienced seeing a film and ordering dinner at their own location. Whats worse though, and this trumps everything in my previous rant, is that they stopped running the AC. You're literally sitting there sweating in a 73-74 degree room uncomfortable for the entire movie. The weekday manager... Wow.

This is a pretty fun theater to lie back and relax and you can order drinks, alcoholic drinks, and some food. The food isn’t very healthy and many times the service really sucks and they messed your order up or are they forget to bring you something last night we we went, and they forgot to bring us Candy the other time before they messed up in order it really needs new management for delivering food. It shouldn’t be that hard and they should actually tell you that they don’t deliver the concession things like candy that are right there. But besides that it’s a good theater they just need to work out the kinks and maybe get some management training or better refine things such as getting healthier things to eat and better serving staff that makes it more simpler for them to deliver food

One of my least favorite AMC. No IMAX offerings, they seem to stop showing new releases earlier than most, and there is no fountain machine in lobby to refill yourself - you have to put an order in with a cashier and then wait 5-10min in the lobby for someone to bring it out on a tray in a NEW cup. Very frustrating when you're out of your movie and just want a quick top off for the road but have to wait. Neither staff nor the system seem capable of differentiating between a delivery forhere to theater seat and togo for someone in the lobby. Priority, guys! Also overall AMCs dine-in to seat leaves a lot to be desired compared to say Alamo Drafthouse but that's not really the fault of this particular location, more AMC policy/app failings.

  • Sherrylyn Ramirez

This used to be my favorite theater. Customer service have no idea on how the stubs program works! Can’t answer my question & had a glazed eye look. We did not know that they stopped taking orders from your seat until we checked in with our online tickets. So if you need more snacks or drinks on a 2+ hour movie you have to get up and go to the bar. This defeats the propose of going to dine in. We ordered our food & drinks 30 minutes before the movie was scheduled to start and 20 minutes in the movie food was still not delivered. We had to get up and ask! They forgot our order!!!! Restrooms are dirty & wet around the sinks & toilets. Toilet seat are old, chipped & discolored.

I went to see Fast Furious 05/22/2023 at my favorite location to see a movie at 4:15 which it was a tassel to get tickets because the seats were going fast. I order Churros, Popcorn, candy, Soda. I notice an hour later after the movie started I never received 2 of my items. I asked the young man at guest service how I could get my items and he was very nice. And I believe he had the manager approve it. I went back to my seat and received one of my items. But not my popcorn. We as people spend a great amount of money for outings and don’t receive what we purchase isn’t right . I love this theater but I did not appreciate me missing on my movie and not receiving my items.

It’s hard to go back to “regular” theaters without recliner seats after experiencing this place. For the price you pay for movies (~$20 a ticket for an adult), reclining seats like that should be standard. It’s a plus you get to order drinks and food right from your seat, but on the downside, you have the waitstaff going up and down the isles during the movie, which can be a little distracting at times. Plus, there’s a bar in the lobby, serving a variety of beer and wine, which after paying you’re free to take to your seat. Overall, I’d recommend this place to be a go-to theatre, even if you don’t take advantage of the full menu.

Do yourself a favor and skip the food service. It's super expensive for what you get and absolutely horrendous. I ordered a cob salad with o chicken or bacon for myself since I'm vegetarian and what I got was a bowl with a few leaves of lettuce and some sauce on it. I ordered my seven year old a chicken quesadilla and it was so spicy my son tool one bit of it, nearly choked and started crying that his mouth was burning. I was shocked so I decided to take a bite to see how spicy it really was and it was very spicy indeed. Very expensive and disgusting food. Better go to a restaurant instead and skip the food at this joint.

  • Mike Evans

It's a nice theater, where you can order a variety of food & drinks, and have it delivered to your seat. You choose your seat from a screen (which is NOT a touch screen). when you buy your tickets and show your tickets when buying your food, You can also buy your tickets, choose your seat, and buy food in advance online. There are trays attached to the seats that you swing into position to eat, and the seats have motorized foot rests which I like.t The bathrooms have automatic flush toilets, automatic faucets, soap dispensers , and hand dryers so you don't have to touch anything.

  • Darin J

I like the theater overall! Parking is easy and it’s easy to find in the plaza. While the quality of service is never an issue here, I’ve noticed this particular location attracts some strange moviegoers who are disruptive. I’ve seen staff intervene and quickly resolve issues so that’s a great sign that they are on it. But sometimes, I can’t help but feel a bit frustrated when I find myself in a theater with a person who is clearly experiencing mental instability. It’s a tough situation to face but I think the staff here do a pretty good job at keeping things at bay.

  • David Nelson

Absolutely amazing experience. Some of the servers probably didn’t care about their job or really wanna be there but it didn’t bother us we still had an amazing time here. The food was great and the drinks were too. And the chairs were so damn comfortable lol They reclined to the point where you could pretty much lay down. I almost wanted to just take a nap I was so comfortable lol Definitely going back again and again, from somebody who would never see movies in theaters I honestly can’t wait for something good to come out!

  • W M

Best theater on the westside. Most comfortable reclining loungers I've been in. They just upgraded the projectors to Laser, which was badly needed. 3d here HAD been dim and almost unbearable to watch. Now it gleams and all the more so in 2d. Some of the food items are pretty good. They also serve alcohol, if you're so inclined. The staff here has consistently impressed, as well. Always friendly and helpful. I've seen a number of celebs here, too. A-List makes sense if you see even two movies a month.

  • Virginia Dela Cruz-Gitau

We enjoyed ourselves on Saturday with a great movie experience (as always at this theatre). Ordered tickets online, walked in and ordered our food via the self serve kiosk which is super quick and our food arrived within 15min so that was nice. Special part was Edwin and his staff went out of their way when I forgot my earbuds...they kept them and I returned the next day to retrieve them. I appreciate this so much...so psa folks to be sure to check your comfy seat after the movie

  • Miranda Jeanette

It was my first time at this theater. It was a day out with my son, just him and I. It’s definitely worth the money. The seats are comfortable, spaced out, & recline. They have a small table top. The food was delicious. I was concerned that it would be pricey and taste awful but to my surprise it was not pricier than some restaurants. We ordered burgers and they tasted as good as the The shake shack or better. You have to order at the kiosk or the app, they bring it to your seats. I had a blast.

  • Amber Lawrence

Bathrooms are disgusting!!!!!!!! I know it's more kids working here then adults but someone in leadership needs to take control of that issue. They serve food and alcohol, so there is no way of avoiding those bathrooms. So can someone care enough not to make it feel like a zoo? This location is probably more profitable than other locations based on concession alone. Therefore, there is room in that budget to make your “bathrooms” cleaner than that! My God! I'm still traumatized.

  • John Gallagher

Theater is very nice, but the concessions could really use some help. Food and service is great, but they usually only have the bar open and not the dedicated concession stand. So you need to wait for people's drinks to be made, one at a time, by the sole person working behind the bar. Some folks take forever and you end up waiting upwards of 30 minutes before you can put your order in. But, the in-seat delivery is awesome. So just arrive very early and you're good.

  • Sara Nuciforo

Don’t go! I bought tickets for a dine in experience and got nothing at all. I got up half way through the movie and bought my 9 year old son a flatbread pizza for $15. Went to check 20 min later and was told it was on the way!! Movie ended and no pizza. I callled when we got home and the manager told me sorry we cannot refund you. Also how about refunding our whole experience! You said there is waiter service. There is no waiter service. Scam.

  • lawrence thomas

I uses to love this dine in theater but now I just like it . My popcorn did not come till the middle of the movie. My seat did not work and when I got my popcorn they gave me I container of hot butter and no salt they did not even ask would i like any on top of that they're were 2 people working the front desk and they both were helping a guest when one could have check us in .we had to ask about that. I just don't know if I would go back

  • Abiel C

It's really nice, a little pricey but nice, and the food is actually pretty good. The seating is really comfy and Im willing to bet a lot of people fall asleep here, specially that you can recline the seats way back. The server was really nice, service was pretty meh. I get that maybe they don't want to pass infront of people often but 45 minutes for a soda refill is kind of unacceptable. Other than that I had a pretty good experience.

  • Matthew Spuria

How this establishment even calls itself a movie theater is beyond me. It’s mere existence is an insult to cinema. Nobody has thought about putting any money into this place since it was built. Graffiti in the bathroom. Stains on the screen. 30 year old carpeting. It’s really sad to see. Please do not support this disgusting business. Cinemark in playa vista is much better.

  • Vince McManus

I'm typically a fan of AMC Dine-ins, but this location has these awful glowing logos between every other seat. It wrecks the contrast ratio of the screens and frankly makes for an inferior viewing experience compared to a nice OLED TV at home. AMC, you should know better, especially as you are fighting to remain relevant to the theatergoers of the past.

  • Sean L

The food experience was rather disappointing as the popcorn and food arrived cold. The movie didn't start until an hour after it was supposed to because of fire alarm errors, and then also our movie was stopped and interrupted countless times from false fire alarms going off repeatedly. Two hours after our movie should have started we were kicked out.

  • Big Zeus

One of my favorite AMC theaters, the snack self check out to the bar for drinks before or during the movie, the seats are comfortable and reserved so you don’t have to worry about trying to find one or someone sitting in yours, and it’s located around many other food options great choice for a date night would definitely recommend this theater

  • Matt Planer

Good movie theater, but not my favorite dine-in. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I like the human waiter aspect. Kind of was lame having to sneak out during the movie to order more food or drinks. I like the method where you fill out a paper slip and leave it upright for a waiter. Totally fine movie theater with easy parking otherwise.

  • Damien

This AMC is clean and the seats are super comfy. I would not do anything but the reclieners from now on. Join the membership its pretty awesome; 3 moives a week in any theater for $25 per month Note: If you are coming late night last showing they may lock the door so show no later than 15 mins after your movie has started.

  • Alpine_ Bear

No In-Theater service available and mediocre service at best with barely 2 ppl working the concessions. Most food items displayed for ordering was not present online and per the employees additional food items could not be provided via the app after showtime. Last time visiting this location and not worth the $$ or drive.

  • Aremi Franco

I used to work at this theater when it was a 'Cineplex' in the 90's. We went to go see Super Mario Brothers. 20 minutes into the movie, I wanted to order popcorn. The buttons didn't work. So I went to the concession stand, and there were a few employees that told me right away 'it's closed'. That was disappointing.

  • Kikee Bah

What kind of movie theater would leave the lights on while showing trailers, and most importantly, when the movie is about to start??!!? I had to leave the room twice and let two different staff members know about it. If I hadn't, we would have watched the whole movie with the lights on. That's unacceptable!!

  • michael young

The food was just ok. The drink was good. The seating was nice. The food delivery service could be better if they gave each person there food instead of just dropping it all on one table. Also, there are too many fees for online reservations. Service fee, delivery fee, and convenience fee then tax.

  • Rita Raygosa

My go-to AMC movie theater. I am comfortable here, the staff is friendly. The food & drink are always delicious. If I have a problem with anything the staff quickly fixes it. My only concern is the women's bathrooms, they need to be fixed. Many of the toilets do not flush properly.

  • Bryan Gallegos

I paid for my movie ticket and meal online. When I got there someone was sitting in my seat and they had my food delivered to them. I told management and they replaced my food but it was completely different from what I ordered. I left in frustration. Worst movie experience ever!

  • Patty

My first time in awhile to do “family movie night”. I was a bit scared but thebAMC crew had it all under control. It was very safe and the capacity was for only 35 ppl. It almost felt like we had the entire theater to ourselves. It was a positive experience

  • a rob

Delivery system of food is an issue. System is flawed. You either get your food cold or something is missing. When you advise staff of issues, they ignore the hoping you forget to bring it up again. I've had to get a refund the last three times I have gone.

  • Erika Nuno

The comfort is good with reclining seats but the food is TERRIBLE!!! & OVERPRICED. I don't mind paying a higher price for good food. But it's Pricey n it's So Bad. First time n my last time. I rather go to IPIC Theater in Westwood. Now that

  • Miss Twyla

The AMC Marina Del Rey dine in theater is my go-to theater. It's never crowded. It's clean. The recliners are nice and pretty comfortable. The food is so so. It's the typical AMC menu. Full bar is available. Parking is simple and convenient.

  • Beatriz Kasivagura

Do not, I repeat, do not come to this movie theater unless it’s for $5 tuesdays. Otherwise, it’s not worth it. We spent close to $100 on tickets for 4 people and $155 on food and drinks. Two of the reclining seats weren’t working and I told

  • Tony

Service was lacking. Staff was friendly but they are no more COVID protocols in place. They do check vaccination card but no masks, no distancing and no seat space between guests. They only have large size, so no choice but to pay more for

  • Paul T

About as comfy a movie experience that may be had other than being at home. Pick your seats online. Nice big recliner seats. Good service. Food is above par for movie theaters. Did not partake of alcoholic refreshments that are served here.

  • Alexandra Washington

I used to come here all the time before Covid! Went to see Trolls today and will never return again! It stunk like a nearby dumpster was inside the theater! Got the big appetizer…. No ketchup for my onion rings no ranch or bbq or any sauce

  • Eye4 Cyou

We would have enjoyed the movie more had the food been prepared the way we like. For the Young Asian woman at the bar. If a customer asks you for specific food preparation, I think it's in your best to accommodate. My bf asked if you can

  • Joy G

I would stick to a regular movie theater. You order food the food and wait for it to come.. my brother didn't get his full order. They don't have standard nachos with jalapenos and its very expensive. Will say the chairs are comfortable.

  • Evelyne Pedersen

Their food was disgusting, I ordered quesadillas and half of them were so burned they were like rock solid. I got a glass of wine which cost me $16. The recliners were nice and the staff members were kind so i am giving them two stars.

  • L R

Confy, red seats with swivel, rectangular trays. Yes, it's a Dine-In Movie Theater. Order your food off the AMC app or at the bar. Yes, there's a bar. Yes, you can purchase your drink and take it to your seat. The front row seats are

  • Di Valentine

It was good but you can't order from your seat anymore. You need to order from a machine before going in & they'll deliver to your seat. Food took a long while to get there & I asked for a tray but they never returned with one.

  • Ashley Page McGovern

Love the chairs and location. The food and drinks are fine. Good parking.....Friendly staff....A little pricey for recliner chairs, but overall worth the cost when you factor in free parking etc.

  • Michael Bardol

A great movie theater. You order food and drinks from computer kiosks in the lobby and they get delivered to your seats. Wish they could have a waiter call button like other theaters though.

  • Riley Simas

My fav theater in LA! Great chicken tendies with service to your seat and full reclining seats that are better than a lazy boy. Once you go here, it’s hard to go to any other theater

  • Eric Woods

Great place to relax and enjoy a movie like the days of old. But the price isn't. I do must say that if there more than two of you it a fur pricing . It eat-in and watch. That kul!!

  • Demetrius Smith

It was one of the best experiences I've had. As far as going out to the movies. Great soft leather seats that recline and waiters to serve you your food & drinks.

  • Mitch Reid

Incredibly limited menu, embarrassing for “dine-in”. They have more food options at regular AMC venues than they do at this location. Spend your money elsewhere.

  • donnea

Went to see Barbie. Amazing food selection, but I’m a simple girl. I just wanted regular nachos and all they had was loaded. Very comfortable reclining seats.

  • Max Johnson

Nice, comfy theaters, with friendly, helpful staff. My only complaint is that some days they seem a bit short-staffed, so the concession line can be slow!

  • R R

They were out of entrees when my group visited in the afternoon. Yep you read that correctly! A dine-in theater with nothing to dine on!

  • Dennis Peter Kamoen (DPKamoen)

I love going to see movies at the cinema and I love going to see them even more at AMC Dine-In even more. Comfortable and helpful staff, too. …

  • Sardonyx Ed

Very nice! The seats are comfy and can recline. The food was alright. I ordered the nachos I wish they were bigger but the churros were very good.

  • Israel Escobar

Very comfortable seating. Kitchen staff was super busy. Food came out in timely manner, overcooked unfortunately. I will return though!

  • Mz Jzah (Mzjzah)

I loved how I'm small enough to lay flat comfortably in the seats. Didn't order food, however a couple of tables were crooked/slanted.

  • Kathy Leivas

Very comfortable chairs, sound and screen view. They also serve you.Been a long time since I been to the movies,so really enjoyed it.

  • Marc Gallemore

Had a decent meal, definitely better than expected. They should however update their seats, they feel a bit rundown and outdated

  • M J

Good spot to watch movies bathrooms need help every time I go there’s poop on or in the toilet smells like they mop with pee.

  • Thomas Villegas

Very nice dine in experience... recliners were nice and comfortable... establishment was clean... service was on point …

  • Linda Walker

This is the Ultimate movie experience and more. Can't wait until our next visit. Excellent Customer Service. Thank You!

  • Manuel Martinez

Free parking is nice. The theater needs a sound system upgrade, the seats are comfy but the sound sucks.

  • Jo Ellen Faulkner

Mission Impossible was great. Love the theater. Spacious, comfortable, food delivery by gracious host.

  • Queen BELLA

Movie was great but no one asked us if we wanted to dine.. we payed dine in prices...lol

  • Jason M

AMC marina del rey dine in. Small personalized theaters with full menus. Lots of fun.
