I like coming here to watch matinees by myself and it had been a good experience. I had been taking my Mom to Melrose park in the past but wanted to bring her here, especially since they have so much handicap parking out front. I thought it would be a good and accommodating experience for her too since she is elderly, can't walk long distances and uses a cane. But 1st I want to say some of the staff are real personable and helpful. There was only one line open and then the A-list line. I was there this past Saturday afternoon to see Us and unfortunately there were a bunch of 8 unruly kids that absorbed all of the staff's attention. I asked can we pay at another register because my Mom can't stand up long waiting for the kids to settle down and finally buy their tickets. The manager was nice enough to take us to guest services to purchase our tickets. I also let her know that I'm a stubs member and the whole process was quick and done. The rest of my review is a commentary on areas of opportunity to make improvements: 1) have automatic doors for elderly/ handicap persons to open 2) have some handicap or elderly seating near the door upon entry while family members wait in line for tickets. 3) have more seating for handicap / elderly in the halls throughout the theater 4) when the persons who clean the theaters are not busy cleaning have them safeguard the handicap seating in the halls and in the theaters for those that actually need it. I witnessed 2 elderly ladies come in together looking at the seat they probably selected being taken up by 2 abled-bodied persons and the only seating left required them to try to walk up stairs. When the movie was done, I had to ask an abled bodied family 3 times to make room on The One Bench that was in the halls near the restroom while we waited for my niece to return from the restroom. 5) have smaller portions of popcorn and soda for those that don't want a big bucket or big bag of popcorn at a more economical price. A snack size & pricing. My Mom complained that the popcorn tasted stale. I don't ever buy food for myself but I do for my family. 2 popcorns and one regular sized drink being $26 is just outrageous. And then another $14 for 2 more drinks for my nieces. I hope that there is more seating placed in the halls throughout the theater and some staff person makes rounds in the theater up to showtime to make sure the handicap/elderly get priority for handicap/elderly seating. Until then I will probably be coming back to matinees alone.

Every single employees is (currently) on their phones: 3 guys checking our tickets, 2 security guards, 1 cashier. I tried interacting with the Shift Lead -he simply walked away without a friendly acknowledgement. We’re going to need management to get their act together regarding customer service: work and focus on managing the team. If you’re scared to lead and direct your team, please step away from your position, as it did not “Make [tonight’s] movie better.” We don’t need the Shift Lead cleaning up and sweeping while his cashier denies us a pretzel because she looked too lazy to press two buttons to warm it up, on top of having to call another associate because she needed help serving a small popcorn, a drink, an icee, and nachos -EVERYTHING IS LITERALLY BEHING YOU, home girl… come on now. Try looking at it like this: Management manages the team, so that management is able to interact with the guests and see where help or reinforcement is needed; the team, then, produces the sales and the service and the actual labor. Please start acting like a manager and lead your team to a successful experience for my party of 3 and everyone who enjoys this specific, awesome AMC Theater location. Also, why was I not able to refill my drink at 11:05pm?? PROPER PRIOR PLANNING PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCE.

I visited this location's AMC because Classic Cinema in Oak Park was no longer showing Spider-Man. AMC Galewood was having a deal on popcorn and drink for $5, so I ordered two, along with nachos and a drink. I heard $21. I quickly paid and hurried to the movie theater because I didn't want my boys to miss the movie, forgetting my receipt. While in the theater, I checked my bank statement. To my surprise, I saw that $31 was charged. After the movie, I went to the counter and asked why a $5 deal on popcorn and drink, etc, amounts to $31. I was told to go to guest service. The lady at guest service calculated, and of course, my total should not have been $31. I did not have my receipt, only my bank statement to show the charge, and because of that, she reiterated that she could not do anything without the receipt. I am disappointed. Money does not grow on trees. People work very hard for their money, and if you made a mistake and you willing admitted it, I should have been reimbursed.

I went with my family to see the movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and it was extremely disappointing. I wouldn't blame the staff as much as I would blame the customers. People are disgustingly messy! There were popcorn, wrappers, cups, and napkins all over the floor and tables. I could not find a clean spot on the floor to step on. I saw a guy drop his cup on the floor, and while picking it up, he spilled popcorn and left it there!! The people who go here are SOO DIRTY!! The family that sat next to me left their empty popcorn bags on the floor and empty cups on the seat. I would hate to believe this is how people live in their homes. PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES!! You are making the employees' jobs harder. Be kind and mindful. We can all help make the movie experience a wonderful time by picking up after yourself and being quiet during the movie. Thanks.

I lived in the Belmont Cragin area before it was built and I think it was a great addition to the neighborhood. I still go there because it is the most inexpensive place to see a movie. At this time, March 2022. the ticket was $8 adult/senior, $6 Child for an evening show. It is a good place for teens to go on a date without breaking the bank and families to enjoy the movie with matinee prices at $5.00. You can't beat that!. The theater is clean, bathrooms well maintained, staff is courteous and the popcorn is fresh. I do hope the community supports this theater, They have free parking, it is spacious and well lit. The location of the theater is under the bridge, just drive across the bridge on Central Ave heading S of Fullerton and at midpoint at the light turn down to the theater. Enjoy the popcorn, big screen, comfy seats at this location at a great price.

My favorite AMC in Chicago. While many AMCs are charging crazy prices, and have even started charging EXTRA for seats with a good "sight line", this location has kept their ticket prices reasonable, running $5-$8 for regular shows, and $10-$13 for 3D shows. The popcorn is always good and fresh, and all of the other concession items are comparable to other theaters. The bathrooms are always clean, and the staff is courteous. The parking lot is HUGE, so definitely not a problem there. For those taking the bus, be prepared to walk another block from the bus stop due to this theater being located down a valley. The picture and sound for all of the movies are always on point. One time I ordered tickets for a movie with subtitles by accident, and they switched out my tickets with no problem.

I want to personally give a SHOUT OUT to Jason (manager) and the amazing team at this location! I called from the Make-A-Wish foundation to see if they could help us out with one of our wish kids, and right away Jason checked with his main office and returned my call to let me know they would gift a free private showing for our Wish Family! Not only was our little Milan excited to see Kong vs Godzilla, but they also prepared for his arrival with posters, food and decorations! Milan had such an amazing and fun outing with his family and friends that we are forever grateful! We couldn't have made his day special without all of your help! Thank you so much for partnering up to bring those little smiles! Our entire team appreciates all of your help!

Yea service is unquestionably awful! They are understaffed both at the ticket booth and consessions stand, floors are dirty and sticky. I waited 20 minutes in line and over 30 minutes waiting for an order of fries as well as for the fountain drinks to be refilled as the machine was literally empty. They never even tried to take care of my order as the popcorn machines where down and at one point smoking and on fire. At the end I opted to ask for my money back and try to catch whatever was left of the movie only to be told to get in line- which was not worth waiting another 20 minutes. Finally, there is no security, anyone can just walk in without paying or with a weapon. Very disappointed, worst experience ever!!

This theater is usually really good but I tried watching scream 6 on Sunday and people brought their kids into it and halfway through the movie they started shouting and crying for over 10 minutes nonstop begging to go home and I’ve had enough so I left, I asked for a refund and the manager there declined me and didn’t even offer anything for a time exchange. I know this is what you get for watching a movie in public but the manager was no help and was rude to me as if I was in the wrong.

Sunday 4.2 My husband and I went to see John Wick4. There was a Black couple in front to the right (the man) and a Black family behind us (the woman) to our left. They were VERY DISTURBING. Talking thru the whole movie and making VERY LOUD comments. This continued till the movie was over!!! This was the WORST experience I ever had going to the movies and I'm 43 years old. Why can't people be quiet for a freaking movie so everyone can enjoy. I want a refund!!!!

I went to see Oppenheimer at the 8pm showing. Ordered my tickets online and went to the theater. When I get there I was able to find parking and charge my EV for free. So that was a huge plus. I was able to get in rather quickly because there wasn't a line. Where the theater fell short is the seats were dirty, I was itchy the whole time and the room has an unpleasant oder. Please upgrade to the reclining leather seats and clean the room better!

I went in with my wife and son we purchased our 3 tickets then went in to the arcade since there was no one checking tickets, so while my son was playing we got called back to the front by security to verify the movie tickets and was told no one is there to verify tickets because it's a tuesday. Im very disappointed I been coming here for years, I don't steal nor would I ever. This was by far the worst movie experience i ever had.

This theater is amazing the prices are the lowest compared to any other theater. I’ve been going here for many many years and I must say they are cleaner than ever. It’s local, always playing new movies and some of the oldies. Prices for food are reasonable. A great place for kids, teens , adults can’t go wrong. Big parking lot, easily accessible to all. This place brings back memories and can’t wait to make more

Sebastián at the concessions was really helpful & kind! He was attentive & quick to take my order I was about to purchase a good variety of snacks & he told me I can get a better deal if i puchased a combo pack. He didnt have to but he took his time to let me know & saved me some money. Also he was fast on handing me my items. Great customer service will be coming back, keep up the great work.

Always cheap prices ,and surprisingly cleaner facilities than some top end neighborhoods, always plenty of parking and even charging stations for your vehicles, their concessions are well stocked with a variety of yummy food, and snacks easy acces to the theater and also handicap ♿️ spots ,this place is very ,very underrated

This location always has the best prices and service is good. Pretty clean and I and the family enjoy our regular visits to the movies. We just discovered by downloading the app we reduced our price by $10 in Fees just by the app. Well worth it. For $22 two adults and two children and a baby. Now that's what I call a deal!!!

Tickets here are so cheap, especially on Tuesdays! I've been coming here as a kid and I always like how the theater is quiet and there are tons of parking available. Food and drinks are priced as any other AMC theater. You can get free refills as machines are kept in front and not behind counter. Staff is nice too!

My family and I rented a room at this AMC to watch Wakanda Forever. It was absolutely amazing. The process to book was easy and customer service answered all of our questions to make the process as smooth as possible. We were a group of 40 and everyone loved the experience and we'll definitely do it again!!!!!!!

Unfortunately this theater attracts a crowd that you really don’t want to be in the theater with. Both times I came here there were groups of people talking and laughing during the movie. One person had the light on his phone on as he was talking on it for 10 minutes. Not worth ruining your evening coming here.

We used to love going to this theater but it's no longer a favorite of ours. Now it's always dirty n not dark enough to enjoy a movie. Chairs are broken n outdated as well as the screens and surround sounds.... maybe 1 day when they get it together here, we will back and enjoy watching movies here monthly......

I moved to Lakeview this year, but I still drive out to this theater. The prices are lit!! Half the cost of other AMCs. It’s pretty clean too and there is ample seating, so even if people talk, you can’t hear cuz you can easily space yourself out. I’ve been going here for years. bless this location

It's my neighborhood theater, so I've been here most of my life. It isn't anything special, but it's decent enough. Could be better Like Showplace Theater that have those amazing seats and giant screens, but it's not that. Still like I said it's decent for a theater, and you'll enjoy the movie.

The staff were friendly and the theater was clean. The parking lot is very large. That being said it's quite outdated; but the prices are super cheap. No it doesn't have the good seats. But did Ieantion the tickets are cheap. If you just want to see a good movie this place isn't bad.

Great place to see a cheap movie! This also means you get every person who doesn't know how to be quiet but it comes with the price and neighborhood. Definitely recommend going to early shows before 4pm. There is a great chance you get the theater to yourself.

I think Galewood at times could be a tad bit cleaner but overall my experience here has always been pleasant. One of the things I enjoy is the fact that the tickets are way cheaper here than the other AMC theaters.
