As the old saying goes, when it rains, it truly does pour. Pretty much everything that could go wrong did on this evening of August 17th, 2023. A few friends and I were incredibly excited to see Oppenheimer in 70mm film and we were stoked that our local AMC River East was showing it. Before heading to the theater for our 6pm showtime, we pre-ordered some food on the AMC app so that it would be ready when we arrived. The multiple orders of chicken tenders went through on the app without a hitch! We were excited! When we arrived there was an incredibly long line to get tickets scanned. We were thinking, “Wow! All these 70mm film aficionados must be seeing Oppenheimer tonight too!” Unfortunately, it was due to the ticket scanner not working and it really wasn’t that busy at all. We were directed towards the ticket counter to print physical copies of our tickets. No big deal, just annoying. Modern day technology, amirite?!? When we arrived upstairs, we went straight to the counter to pick up the food we pre-ordered in the app. Unfortunately, the order was never received and it ultimately took around 15 min to get our tendies. While waiting, I overheard another order delay for a simple hot dog, in which the AMC worker communicated it wouldn’t be ready for another 30 minutes. What kind of hot dogs do they make at AMC?!? While we were waiting for our food, I went to the bar to get my favorite Goose Island IPA. Of course they were out, so I settled on a Sam Adams. While the bartender was pouring my drink, another customer came up to the bar with an empty fountain drink cup and asked for ice because the Coke Freestyle machine was out. Maybe it was just slow to make ice that day. That was the end of the series of bad events. They ended up playing the correct movie in the theater and it was terrific. I give this two stars because I believe in AMC and, as a former shareholder, I believe they will come out stronger after reading this review.
The only way that this theater could be better is if the staff let me crawl inside of the popcorn machine like I suggested. Sadly, we no longer live in the beautiful America I once knew. Corporatization and safety regulations have turned us all into a bunch of milk drinking babies. I remember when my father took me to theater, I was just a toddler but he knew how much fun it would be if I were to crawl inside that warm popcorn machine. He slipped the manager a twenty dollar bill that was as fresh as the apples my grandfather used to throw at me - the manager gave him a smile and let me behind the counter. When they opened the popcorn hatch I could smell that rich butter, I could taste the salt in the air, the heat of the popcorn beckoned me and I found myself crawling inside like an ancient serpent deep beneath the soil. I emerged several hours later when the film was over - it took my parents a week to wash the butter from my hair but the smile on my face lasted much longer than that. You see, that was what I wanted to experience again but the staff at the theater told me it would violate the health code. Health code? Back in my day you could deep fry your own hand and serve it to the President of North Korea if you wanted to - now you can't even crawl inside a popcorn machine and pretend you're a mole digging through the surface of the Earth. What is becoming of this country? What are they going to take away next? I want to live in a world where my children can crawl inside the popcorn machine to their heart's content, I want to live in a world where the only thing that stops me from digging further into the popcorn is all the butter that got in my eyes. Excellent theater all the same, but please reconsider your popcorn machine policy.
DO NOT GO HERE. The AMC East theater at 322 Illinois is a truly awful experience for Chicagoans and tourists. The escalators don't work. The exits take forever to use and are a fire hazard as crowds leave. The concessions stand was closed for half an hour before both Barbie and Oppenheimer evening showings on 8/1; unclear why. The bartender at the theater's bar had no idea how to make basic drinks like a gin and tonic (also, he said they were "out of tonic water and seltzer") and didn't know what a Negroni was, despite the bar having a menu of dozens of fancy cocktails -- don't offer a goofy menu of drinks if your bartender is untrained and doesn't know how to make anything! The entire theater was dirty; the tables in the concession area were sticky and clearly never get wiped down; the theater we saw Oppenheimer in had a garbage can full of trash blocking our aisle as we entered; the women's bathroom was a disaster and nearly every toilet was unflushed, covered in popcorn or spilled soft drinks (bizarre) or had no toilet paper. This is an AMC theater in the heart of downtown Chicago! It's embarrassing and disgusting. People constantly wonder why no one wants to see a movie in a theater, and AMC is officially part of the reason why. Even this month, when people are FINALLY in cinemas again to be part of the Barbenheimer trend, AMC can't even offer a not-disgusting experience. AVOID AVOID AVOID and go to the Music Box instead if you must go out to a theater. (I am staying home from now on and watching movies in the own comfort of my home; so disgusted by my giving a theater a chance post-COVID and this being the result.)
It doesn’t take much to be a great movie theater. And for one that claims to be the crown jewel of Chicago AMC theaters this rating falls squarely on the lack of accessibility to this location therefore dropping this theater to the bottom of the list of locations I’d voluntarily go to. A majority of theaters have premium features and seating and this one is no exception. Where it falls short is parking and proximity to public transportation. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances street parking in Chicago is a luxury most can no longer afford. This location not only has no parking lot but it will not validate for any of the lots in the area. So in addition to your $20 movie ticket you’re looking at another $20 for parking. Say you wanted to take the cta, well this spot is about a mile from the nearest train station. And the walk to get there takes you through some truly shady streets and underpasses especially at night. I would recommend literally any other theater in the city over river east amc. In my honest opinion the best theater in the city is rosemont amc showplace. It has all the premium features like recliners and delivery to seat. Plus they have free all day parking that you can use at the local outlet mall. And if you have your sights set on the city near river east then you’re in luck cause there are three better theaters within walking distance that are far closer to public transportation. In descending order, they are amc Block 37, amc 600 n Michigan, and amc showplace Roosevelt collection. These are either located on top of Train stations or have their own parking.
Upon arrival guest services were extremely helpful and attentive. We decided to grab a bite to eat before the show, unfortunately they were out of gourmet popcorn and substituted my popcorn for tenders instead. With a full refund for the popped corn for the inconvenience. Btw. I will be back for that popcorn, because it sounds delightful. The guy behind the counter told me they are the third most visited in the country so I can imagine that popcorn better be good. :) We walked into theater #7 waited a bit because I am a stickler about being on time. My philosophy is 5 minutes early is 10 minutes late! But we had time to mingle and chit chat get to know who would be loud and who would be tolerable. We sat between two incredibly nice gentlemen. The hostess was absolutely wonderful. Btw... I'm still going to be jealous of that trip to Barcelona! Have some fun for me! The movie sound quality, and picture were impeccable! I felt absolutely safe and secure with security around and the reserved seating was nice to not have people treading back and forth to the bathroom and concession. I like the fact the movie was a grownup film, that meant no crying babies and no line of children in their parents wake. I love children but sometimes it's nice to have a grownups night:). All in all it was excellent customer service, very clean facility, average priced, and a quality evening! I would recommend! #longshot

Great date night spot! It is very clean, lively, and vibrant. We really loved the vibe! The movie theater is located on the third floor of the complex. When we first arrived the movie theater was very crowded but the employees worked very quickly to process ticket purchases and food from the concessions. There is a parking garage that you have to pay for but you can get your parking validated for 17 dollars. There are multiple levels to the parking garage and they are separated by levels and "seasons", which makes it a lot easier to locate your vehicle. There is also a FTW gaming place on the second floor that stays open late and a Lucky Strikes bowling alley. The only drawbacks are that the seats in the movie theater are a little outdated and of course you have to pay for parking. But overall it's an ideal spot for a date. We will be returning.
Theatre is your basic AMC, however, the River East location was the only one in the Chicago area showing the movie I wanted to see. Planned to buy tickets ahead and pre-order snacks but changed my mind once I found out there would be an issue with getting the seats I wanted. That change was such good fortune for me as the menu that's listed online that you can purchase is VASTLY different than the actual offerings at the theatre. Yes, there is a disclaimer posted online that there MAY be an difference in actual food items being served, but in actuality, not even half of the snacks posted online are being served at the theatre. If you're trying to snack on anything other than popcorn, you're taking a big gamble to order food ahead as you probably won't actually get it. Save yourself the hassle, plan to arrive early and buy at the counter.
Went to the Dolby Theater, underwhelming to say the least. First of all, the screen has a small but bright orange light cast from the EXIT sign on the left edge of the screen which is very distracting when watching the film. It occupies about 1/8th on the screen left. Also, and this is highly subjective, but the sound, considering that it is a Dolby cinema, the sound is lacking when compared to other Dolby Theaters that I’ve been to. Overall, I did not enjoy my time watching movie at this location. UPDATE: The standard format auditorium has the same issue, the EXIT sign is so bright, overblown that it is distracting, and casts a huge orange glow to half of the screen. It is very bad, and I can’t see the details on the screen because of this. Will never come back to this theater because of these issues, very bad viewing experience.
We go here frequently to watch movies. The location is good for the downtown crowd, but if you do not take public transportation, parking is hard to find. There are plenty of places to get something to eat either before or after your movie. There is even a Walgreens just east of here where you can purchase munchies at much lower prices than inside. The box office is on the second floor, so go straight up the escalators when you enter the building. The actual movie theaters are on the 3rd floor. There is also the FTW video game arcade and Lucky Strike bowling on the second floor. These are separate businesses from the movie theater and you do not need to purchase a ticket to visit either of these. With approximately 21 different movie theaters, there is something for everyone. #CityExperts @GoogleLocalCHI
I might be over-the-top here, but in the spirit of gratitude for what AMC River East has given me, I’d like to give out this rare 5-star review. This place is really nothing to write home about. It’s just your everyday movie theater on a busy street next to a whole foods. But in a way, that’s what makes it so special. It gets the job done, it’s tidy, & there’s a versatile theater selection - in reality, there’s nothing to complain about. And that’s saying something. Movie theaters have ample opportunity to muddle up your movie watching experience, but this place has effortlessly brought my cinema friends & I closer together, & every time I step out of the theater here, I can’t help but sigh, look back with a satisfied grin, & start planning for what’s next.
The theater is very nice with many amenities and fun things to do. But... It is outrageously expensive. Nevermind ticket prices (bad enough), the concession prices are STUPIDLY expensive! I mean truly ridiculous. We all expect concessions to be pricey but this is another level of expensive (no wonder they cannot fill a theater). We had three sodas and a popcorn and it cost over $30. Half that would still be expensive. Also, the "Dolby" fancy theater was SO LOUD IT WAS PAINFUL!!! Not kidding. I know theaters are loud but this was another level of loud. It actually hurt. Also, the seats are all ratty and a mess. They are worn down and look awful. Why they let that be says a lot about the theater. I want to like them but there is so much to dislike.
Its nice AMC theatre in downtown Chicago It’s really big one where more than 25 movies are running at a time but it’s little expensive as it’s un the downtown Chicago that’s why The most of the movie tickets starts from $13 atleast and plus taxes and parking is really very expensive here so it’s better to take L train or bus as that’s gonna be cheaper if you are coming from city or suburbs I m going to this AMC from last 3 years I watched more than 20-25 movies here They have the option for IMAX and dolby cinema also depending upon the movies Also on middle floor they have two places to do fun activities like pool table ,bowling , bar , games and a lot of other fun activities to do
I used to live nearby and would go here with frequency pre covid. Bowling, arcade, great beer selection, mini golf... tons of fun. I went there Feb 25 2023 for the first time post covid and was very disappointed. - Bowling was closed (special event or permanent- unclear, staff was not helpful) - bar was closed in the bowling alley area - there is no more mini golf - the bar in the arcade has no good beer Found out after waiting in line for 10 min that none of the large menu (photo) is actually an option. I know covid was rough on businesses- but biz 101 says: have good beer and dont list stuff you dont actually have. Overall terrible experience and am in no rush to return.
Location is great if you downtown. They validate parking but you still have to pay (better to ride share if possible). The staff is friendly and helpful. The food takes a while to be prepared so arrive early to wait or else you will miss the trailers and the first 5 minutes of the movie, not kidding. Theaters’ seats are dirty and have stains and chunks missing. Other people in our theater also complained about the seats and how other places are better. 3/5 stars because they showed a movie, -2 stars because of the up keep of the location. AMC just doesn’t keep up with the cleanliness of their theaters like they used to. Maybe better to just watch the movie at home.
My experience at amc was very bad. The staff was exceptionally rude this evening. I asked for an exchange for our movie tickets and they gave me two passes instead. After returning guest services i was told i could not refund tickets paid for with a pass. I explained i'd paid cash and was sent through back and forth up and the escalator 4 times. Finally, i was given two passes and told in order to receive two cash tickets at the time of exchange i had to mention that it may a be possibility i could have to leave early. Further she said she assumed i wouldn't need a refund. This was very unfortunate! I am very disappointed that i was treated so unfairly.
It's a decent environment. It has a bowling alley attached to it but the theatre itself is a little old the chairs were dirty from being used so often. I had to ask a staff member to clean the theatre we were in and then when someone showed up they just walked the theatre looking for the mess rather than cleaning the theatre room. Which is obviously the reason for it being dirty. They spot cleaned the area because someone had spilled something in the previous show. No one was rude and the kids working the concession were polite. The ONLY reason I gave it 3 stars instead of the 2 I wish to give it.
Often dirty. At one particular showing of Barbie the theatre had very serious safety issues with multiple complaints and NOBODY from the theatre doing anything about it because it was the employees' teen friends doing the damage and causing the in-theatre chaos. It was honestly terrifying. I tried to get a refund to leave and the theatre said I needed to send an email -- an email nobody has ever replied to despite it being sent THREE times. In addition to that, the digital signs above each theatre often don't work or aren't turned on, and the employees are exceptionally slow and rude.
I gave it 4 stars because the wheelchair ♿ entrance was not well marked if one is coming from the east. Since I am rather new to my accessibility challenges and this theater, I didn't search far enough and nearly did myself harm trying to go through the revolving door. There are plenty of signs saying to use the revolving perhaps one indicating where the accessible entrance is would be helpful. Otherwise, my experience was top notch and the staff was courteous. Seats were comfortable. I would definitely go again now that I am aware of how to get in.
The Dolby Theater was pretty good. Nice sound and felt some music resonated off the back of the seat which was a cool touch. Went to see the Mario movie which did not utilize the sound stage too much but animation wise it looked great with the screen. Some things that could have been better is that some of the escalators did not work and to get an incline on the seats you have to press and hold without any haptic feedback from the “button” (more like a touchscreen). Movie butter took a little bit to come out but it was hot which was nice.
Walked up and tried to order a couple of things, but was told the only food they had were hotdogs and popcorn. Not sure why the rest of the items are on the screen, given that it’s digital, and things could be removed if they’ve run out. More disturbing was the complete seeming indifference of the employees to that issue. Obviously it’s not the end of the world but an “oh, I’m sorry” or “we’ll have them again in xyz minutes/hours/days would have been welcome additions to the dialogue.
If you want to go "out" to the movies, this theater will give you that feel/experience. It's huge, vibrant, multidimensional (across from an arcade (if it's open), and with access to a restaurant and bar. Good theater for tweens and teens (please don't come if you're not well-behaved). Parking is a typical Chicago downer, but with ample over-priced metered parking all around if you're willing to walk a couple blocks. Wakanda Forever was a better time because of the atmosphere here.
I like this AMC. It looks like they’re renovating all the theaters, and the new recliners and flooring are sleek, comfortable, and make for a very pleasant experience at the movies. For some reason this theater is always out of food options, and very rarely do I actually want the chicken tenders or whatnot but I still am surprised they’re always out of stock (the same with the Coke Freestyle machines). We’re very happy they’re renovating and are looking forward to the result.
This is a large AMC complex with a good variety of shows, which pushed up the rating. They do not have more luxurious features such as recliners, except in the Dolby theater. Some of the auditoriums are in need of maintenance, I attended a screening recently in one theater where seats were a bit shabby, and some had been patched in an obvious way, but it was clean. They have a pretty good selection of concessions, and you can order ahead, and it should be waiting for you.
Location is really good and screen is big. Tickets are quite expensive and Popcorn was mediocre…. I wish popcorn can be better and less salty. Not a lot of people so it’s nice. The seats are super old school type but relatively clean although I don’t know how clean it can be. Cannot decline or anything. Showtimes were different than on google which was misleading but probably not their fault. Overall decent experience and will go back.
As an AMC Stubs member I’m absolutely repulsed by this theater. Popcorn is always already scooped into a bucket, and is cold and sitting under a heat lamp which doesn’t do it any justice. The stadiums are never clean and there’s a loud. squealing sound from the down escalator. I don’t even think WD40 could fix it. I’ll likely be canceling my Stubs membership and going back to Showplace ICON Theater for future movies.
I can not possibly be the only person here who thinks the popcorn is absolute trash here. No flavor, and has the texture and density of styrofoam packing peanuts. Not fresh as it should be. The popcorn at AMC DINE-IN block 37 is wayyyyy better. I'm guessing Flavacol was omitted in the preparation of the popcorn at River East 21. Oppenheimer was a great movie though, no other complaints. Next time I'll consider BYOP.
Theater wasn’t clean and had trash, popcorn, food, napkins, drinks and all previous food items still in the theater from the previous showing. Had to remove drinks my seat just to sit my drink down and I also had to removing a bowl of popcorn and tissue from my seat. Couldn’t even sit comfortably because I was disgusted by the mess that surrounded us. Please hire better workers and fire the workers that refuse to work.
Love this place and have been going since I was in high school, so easy to get to, and the walls are so nicely ordained with moments from famous films through the ages. Plenty of differently sized theaters and the Dolby auditorium is amazing! The bar is super great and the staff is usually really nice! Not far from other awesome places to explore and check out! It’s my perfect theater honestly, love that place
We had a noisy metal sound throughout our viewing of “A Quiet Girl”. What a terrible theater to choose to put a movie called “A QUIET Girl”! Put an action movie in that theater and there would no problems. Only two theaters in Chicago were showing that movie and it was a GREAT movie, just a poor presentation by this AMC. The rest of the theater was fine. Good service, attentive people, and full bar.
It has the dining area which looks like a complete restaurant/bar and the gaming area for pooling and the likes. The arcade is is just right across the entrance am not sure if its part of the amc or it's a place of it's own. I had a good time and I think you will too. I didn't watch a movie that day so am not sure what the actual theatre here looks like
We saw the Oscar nominated film The Fablemans, there last night and had a great time. There were no lines, theater 18 was an intimate setting perfect for an Oscar nom viewing, popcorn was fresh and buttery, and service was speedy. Looking forward to another movie here. The only setback was the parking lot can use more signs or something. Very confusing.
The one box office employee was too busy on her phone to help us when we needed to get our tickets. They encourage you to order food through the app to save time but the order was only started when we arrived. They now want you to validate parking BEFORE the movie. If you do it after and that one employee can’t be found, you pay full price for parking.
As theaters go, this AMC offers wide variety of movies. Stadium style seatings are comfortable. Food and popcorn are just as pricey as other theaters. Parking is outrageously expensive. If you live in the area, this is perfect theater for you. Plenty of nice restaurants near the theater. Service and quality of show is no different than other theaters.
WONDERFUL!! Everyone needs to come back to the AMC movie theaters! Nothing, and I mean nothing, compares to going to the movies and seeing a new (or old) movie in a theater...I don't care how much streaming you constantly pay for from month to month or what kind of tv you have. Come back to the AMC! I promise, no one will sit next to you!!
Chairs were comfortable, staff was helpful, screen quality was good. I did not check out the concession stand. When movie finished, escalator was not operating and I had to walk down. The elevator had 4 people already waiting for it, so it was unsafe covid-wise. I have a bad knee which made walking the escalator inconvenient.
Not five stars only because the parking is costly. I was able to find street parking close, but it was 4.75$ per hour. The AMC parking is super expensive. As far as the theatre goes, i have no complaints. There is a bar if you need to get drinks. I went to watch Avatar. The theatre was clean and sound quality was good.
This is a great theater with a lot of screens and often has a lot of the more limited releases. It's always clean and the concessions are up to date. The only bad thing is they have really old exit signs in the theaters that are often quite distracting because they are so bright. This is really more of a 4.5/5.
I was not disappointed with my experience I had at this theater a few days ago. I was actually at this theater before for a wrestling event viewing, which was the same reason I was there the last time. The food was great and the seating was great as well. Overall, I had a really great experience there.
Most food options weren’t available and no bartender was present during matinee showtimes. Are you an A List member? Well the employees don’t care about the priority lane for concessions. If this is what AMC is selling, I’ll go ahead and cancel my A List membership. No wonder this theatre is empty.
We went to see Thor Lord of Love and Thunder. It was a good movie. The theater was clean but, not many people for a Saturday afternoon. We had to wait until we got to the 3 floor to show our tickets on the phone. The staff was pleasant. This was the first movie we had seen in a theater since 2019.
The Dolby Theater is awesome. I plan on returning here for select movies so I can feel the movie as well. Very nice size movie screen and vivid picture quality. I am only removing 1 star because they only had 1 icee machine and it wasn't working...but they do have bar as a consolation prize.
This AMC is fine… it does the job…. They do showcase some smaller films now along with the expected blockbusters. The theater can use some love . Feels outdated … not in terms of design but rather upkeep. Floors look dingy and stick. Smells old as well. Broken things here and there.
There was only one employee at the ticket counter. Line took forever and everyone had to go upstairs to customer service to have their ticketing issues resolved. The theater was clean, but the giant glowing Exit signs were distracting and the seats did not fully recline.
Great movie choices, bar, snacks but pandemic has brought changes. Bar sometimes is closed. Some food items out of stock. Benches removed from lobby. Vaccination card and photo id no longer required. Increasingly more crowded. No masks required. Can now get free water.
Enjoyable visit to watch the 30th Anniversary of Hocus Pocus. We had the whole cinema to ourselves in comfy reclining seats. All escalators were working, tickets bought and checked quickly and served our butter popcorn efficiently. Overall a great experience at AMC.
I don’t know what I expected but this was less than that. I go to the movies often. The family and I love to eat at the movies as well. I guess I expected real sit down food like other places I visited. I don’t think I will go again. Seats and so slim too.
One of the filthiest amc locations. Been there a couple of times nad my god its too bad, seats, sounds almost everything. Would not recommend this location. I have been to other locations in the burbs and they are pretty good esp the south barrington.
Awesome spot, a bit on the pricey side but just well worth it, everything you want all in one.. Movie theater, bowling, min.golf, game room, dining & a bar w/plenty of TV screens with sports features. First time there n definitely won't be the last
This place is NASTY - almost every seat was stained in the whole theater, the walls too. Felt like a rent-by-the-hour motel. Sorely needs a remodel too, dated 90’s decor and definitely no modern recliner seats in our theater. The staff was
The staff was very accommodating about transferring our tickets to a different show after there was an uncomfortable situation at the show we originally wanted to see. We're glad the staff wants to make sure we feel safe in the theatre.
they should consider renovating this theater. at least replace the seats and the carpets. i know they may be short of staff but at least make the cleaning more frequent. even the signboards at top of each auditorium's entrance that is
Great theater. Food selection has gotten better post pandemic. Bar has some great drinks (a bit pricey but to be expected). The bartenders are really fun people. Theaters appear clean and in good order. All around good experiences.
Enjoyed my first post Covid movie this week. Good social distancing at the auditorium. Kinda sprayed all over my row and wiped everything before sitting down... Anyway, don't watch the New Mutant!!! Lame one... Try something else!
Expensive parking. Escalators make loud noises. Clearly due for service that’s not being met. If not serviced according, someone will get hurt. 2 stars because the theatre has modern amenities (recliners, Dolby, leader seats).
The theater is "ok" at best. The seats are old, worn out, and torn at places. Almost no recline. Definitely needs an upgrade. Sound system is good. No issues with the screen. Would visit again but expect better seating soon.
Parking prices are not super cheap but that’s not AMC’s fault. My experience has been stellar to say the least. Very clean theaters, great presentation, and great audio. Staff are also very friendly. I’ll be coming back!
Amazing theatre. So beautiful once you walk in. Saw Spider ATSV here and it was one of thee greatest movies i’ve ever seen. the employee that helped us buy our tickets was super sweet and i loved the vibe there. 10/10
I thought the theater was really nice and very clean. The layout is very intuitive and easy to understand and the people are nice. The theater was crazy hot though so sitting through a movie in a warm theater sucked
Seats in the theater were super worn out and dirty. Employees were kind and helpful. Unfortunately there was super loud construction going on throughout the entire movie which completely ruined the experience.
The theaters are in a convenient location. The concessions are good of late. The facility needs to upgrade though. The seats are old, the floors are always sticky. Everything just looks and feels outdated.
You would think that being downtown we will have a better experience. This place was disgusting. I’ve seen Porta potty’s cleaner than the restroom. My seat had been eaten by jaws. Horrible, and filthy.
Good movie theater right in downtown Chicago. Seats are comfy and concessions has a lot of options including a bar. There is an arcade and a pool/ bowling alley on the same floor to look into as well.
Very nice place, clean, nad the staff while on the younger side, were pleasant from my limited experience. The movie screen was also nice, big, and audio was loud. An overall good movie experience.
This was awesome. Had a friend's birthday and rented the whole theatre room. (40) couples in one of the theater showings watching Jesus Revolution!! Great time and awesome movie ✝️ …
The Dolby cinema here is mind blowing and it's the best format in the world to watch a movie. The only reason I gave it 4 stars because getting a parking spot is always a hassle at this place.
If I could give this place no stars because of bad customer from the assistant manager who is very rude and disrespectful. she needs to learn customer service, or work in the prison or police
It's a decent place to watch a movie. No dine in options like Block 37, but is a bit less crowded than Block 37 as well. At some point they added the ability to reserve seats, which is great.
Theater #9 was horrible, uncomfortable seats, ceiling was falling apart. Fan or air-conditioning background noise thru the whole entire movie, really annoying, wouldn't recommend this place
I love going to this theater for the Dolby screen. Usually just see action/science fiction movies though. Everything else I see at Block 37 AMC (highly recommended the a-list subscription)
New renovations to theaters, but severely understaffed. Soda machines need replacement or recalibration as they all taste terrible and not like what you order. Escalators never work....
We came today to watch a movie and the room was very dirty. It is not the first time that we experience this situation. We encourage the cinema’s management to improve their standards.
Showed 45 mins of commercials before starting a movie. Waste of time. Commercials should not exceed 15 mins time frame. We did not pay $18 to come and see commercials at the theater.
They are trying the best they can during construction. Movie was disrupted by the noise so we got a voucher to come back when we want for free. The staff was very nice and friendly
Came before to see the BTS SY: The final movie back in 2019, and now came back to see the Blackpink movie tonight! I love coming here, thanks for hosting all these movies for us! ♡
Corporate vibe. Not much character. Lots of theatres showing the same films. Huge. I guess that's the viable business model these days. Why don't we have an IMAX any more?
The theatre seats are a bit dated, but overall a clean theatre. The staff is very nice! Arcade is fun, all the games were working & not outdated with a bar located inside.
Been here a few time and always a crusty experience. The Dolby theaters are nice but the toilets and the overall experience isn’t. The parking is also a struggle.
Lots of screens and as a result they play films that other theaters don't, or won't. A little old feeling, but the sound system is good and the screens are large.
Your employee Jalisa is rude and unprofessional. She has a nasty attitude with people and lied to get things done. I wouldn't ever want this woman to help a fly
It's been 9 months since J9, J10's recliner function in their flagship Dolby theater have stopped working properly. Also, half the soda machines don't have ice.
It was great nice customer service. Venom 2 was good and it was empty cause I came to the first showing. The game room was fun and the bowling alley was nice.
Nice experience. Large public parking right below the theatres...also the parking ticket was validated at the theatres ..so we had to pay $22 instead of $40
I love going to the cinema so this was an easy one! Huge theatre, great seats with uninterrupted views of the screen, good concessions ... go to the movies!
Paid parking garage cost $27 dollars, no reclining seats. The atmosphere was nice with huge ceilings and cool artwork on your way up. Staff was friendly.
Place is a ghost town. Info on listings is not kept up to date on Google. I wish they'd put more of the early/ new releases, intl films at NewCity.
Nice place to watching movie people and staff so nice easy to identify for 1 st time visitors sounds system also good nearly 10 screen available
Great place to watch movies. The seats could be more comfortable though. Easily accessible by public transport. Located in the heart of downtown
I love this place! Definitely one of my favorite theatres to visit whenever I'm downtown. PLUS, they have Walgreens for your snacking needs!
Would give -5 stars if I could. The show got canceled without any notifications, simply ridiculous... Will never go back to that theater.
Movie was great, but the place was dirty. Seats were full of popcorn and a few drinks were also in the cup holders from previous movie.
A multi-level complex in the heart of downtown and around the corner from our hotel. The seats are the older version, not reclining.
Movie time was great. In the theater the exit signs are to bright while the movie is showing. Lobby carpet needs serious placement.
Nice theatre, comfortable. If you wish to have a cocktail, do it before or after as their prices for alcohol is really expensive
Clean, great seating, good menu options! Ordered the Classic CB with FF. It taste great! We watched Saw X and had a great time.
I love coming to this theatre. The seats are comfy and the movie treats are yummy. It is my favorite movie theatre in the city.
The arcade was awesome! We cought a mid day movie Sunday and had the giant theater pretty much to ourselves, it was great!
Sticky seats, dirty beverages area, food was overcooked, sodas came out hot,but other than that, I had a great time!
