New theater but kind of a strange vibe. Main lobby seems disjointed with no sense of direction. Also was extremely messy/dirty everywhere and it was not very busy.. The concession has extremely high prices, seemingly more than normal but that might just be perception. They did have some interesting offerings.. but one double back lineup system that seemed to get very packed with not many people. Seems like it would be a nightmare during peak times. The theaters themselves.. first off the seats are not as great as others are mentioning. The one I had the motor in the leg rest seemed like it was already failing and it kept dipping through the whole movie.. also there is a very hard bar in it that jabbed into my calves all movie. The seats are also strangely designed in duo's.. so my friend sat in one duo with someone else.. and I sat in a separate duo with a stranger. They should definitely make it more clear during seat selection.. was very awkward. As for the movie itself the theatre seems to be strongly promoting 'new and improved' technology throwing out terms such as 'lasers' - looked exactly the same as every other theatre I've been too.. maybe I'm no visual aficionado but it wasnt anything jaw dropping. 3D was ok, always seems somewhat disappointing though. The audio however was noticeably very clear and VERY loud.. may be too much for some people. Overall for how it is advertised I was disappointed. The seats in east hills are way better and nicer.. these seats seem cheaper and not built for durability. Also the lobby was just so weird.. hard to describe it but they could really use an arcade to spice things up. Likely wont come back to this one..
[EDIT] So apparently the sound being bad is actually from the movie TENET itself, NOT from the movie theatre. Therefore I will go back to watch another movie to properly assess the sound quality. Looks modern and clean. The room has great ambiance lighting, and the full reclining seats are always a welcome sight. Additionally, the fact that no annoying hand bars are present in front of you is very nice. However the seats are a little stiff (probably because they're still new). Also, I do NOT recommend watching in Laser Ultra: the image quality is around the same as IMAX, but the sound system is not good. The extra bass is welcome, but at the expense of everything else being muffled a bit, making it hard to understand the dialogue sometimes (which, for certain movies like TENET, can make or break the film). It's decent if you live in the area, but I'll stick to Landmark Studio 16's IMAX and SilverCity at CrossIron
It's OK. Small but has what you need. Lots of staff working. Lots of parking. Clean. Nothing special here. No self serve drinks with Lots of flavors like country hills landmark. Premium seating not sure value. Has one table on the side so only one person can use it. Seats comfy. Heated seat shuts off in 20 min. Not.my thing. A little garbage container wld be helpful. Has 3 seats so not private if just 2 of you. Concession is pricey of course. Expected. But food shd be fresh and exactly how you want it when paying top $ pretzel dogs were like a boiled weiner not hot and the bun was stretchy chewy horrible. Did not eat it. Popcorn had very little topping even though we paid for butter. Getting a nite out was the best part. Might try university cineplexnext time. VIP area I heard was awesome. They serve you even. Can order food from your seats.
This was our first time at a Landmark Cinema ever and the comparison of this to any other theater has been very surprising. My family will definitely be coming here from now on, it was a great experience. The staff was super nice, the deals with kids day and the movie club extra membership was worth it immediately. The seats were super comfortable, they recline and you can lift the arm rests in between seats which was so cozy and wonderful. The isles were spacious and roomy which I loved. The food was still expensive even with the discount but they give free refills if you want with the membership for popcorn and drinks so that is awesome, although I didn't go do that today it's nice to have in case you do want more. This was a great experience overall and I will definitely be back soon.
Nice new movie theatres; however, something tasted weird with the butter they layered on the popcorn. 230127- Butter was better. Staff helpful. Seat comfortable. Sound was great. 230818 - Again very comfortable seating for our movie. Staff was helpful, especially a young man, Lovepreet, who any employer would be lucky to have given the outstanding service he provided. Popcorn, drinks, candy all good. Landmark needs to get a workable app for its Extra members and also need to be able to link a Landmark card with our accounts so we don't have to go to a url for our barcode. Providing our phome number at the counter is ok, but Landmark really needs an app still to make bookings easier and need to allow cards to link to an account through membership accounts. 231232 - Need that app
Going to the cinema to see a film is not just about sitting in a chair for the length of time it takes for the movie to end, it's about the experience itself and Landmark delivers in spades. Most screens are Laser screens with 360° Dolby Surround Sound (an absolute feast for the ears and eyes). The reclining chairs are also a treat and makes the viewing really comfortable AND they're new too (at least I think they are). Almost feels like you're watching a movie at home. The cinema also takes its health precautions seriously and I was happy with how seamless it was to transition from showing the QR code for COVID vaccinations to scanning tickets before watching a movie. If you're a ten (or fifteen) minute drive away, I 100% recommend this cinema.
I'm not sure if it's bad luck or something else, but I consistently have had bad experiences at Landmark. Yesterday I booked tickets online to watch Dune, and when we got there I found out that the theater had sold the seats to someone else who bought them in person. Management told us our only option was to take a pair of seats that they don't sell because the railing obstructs a large portion of the screen. Blame it on incompetent staff or a poorly tested online booking system, either way I'll probably go out of my way to go to Cineplex from now on. Note: I've amended my review from 1 to 3 stars because the subsequent times I have visited have been overall a pretty good experience.
Girlfriend and I went to see the little mermaid on a Saturday. We went to go to inside and the man scanning told me that I got tickets for a Friday showing instead. How smart of me. So got off the line and they called their manager. The manager, (I believe his name was Ryan) talked to us about our situation and without hesitation, switched our tickets to the Saturday show and pretty much the exact same seats! Props to the crew of Landmark for having great customer service!! Great popcorn, snacks, seats and unlimited refills on large drinks and popcorn when you have a landmark extras card. Would honestly go here all the time if I just didn’t live in Lethbridge.
**update June 2021** Movie theatres are back! And so are we!! I miss going to Landmark cinemas. The theatre butter popcorn hits different when you’re just relaxing on your recliner, not minding about the mess, and enjoying the trailers. I love that they put screen dividers for each recliners! No more eye contacts with other people!! ____________________________________ Best cinema in the city! Recliner love seats, spacious legroom, clean washrooms and well maintained cinema overall. Easy to buy tickets thru Atom app. Refillable large popcorn!! Also, try their Ultra cinema for the laser crisp projection and Dolby Atmos surround sound
Nice, new, clean theater. Concessions are top notch, but it's a shame there is no Coke Freestyle machine. The lobby is small and they'll have to sort out better crowd control going in and out on the ticketed area. The recliners seats are superb. They go back comfortably and the headrest keeps your head forward and well supported. I didn't appreciate laser as a revolutionary technology. It looked like every other movie screen to me, but maybe I need to compare it side to side. The sound however, was amazing. Better than any other theater I've been to. It's so nice having a Landmark on the West side of the city. We'll definitely be back.
World-class cinematic experience. Everything about this theater, the facility, the rooms, seats, washrooms is an experience you'll want to relive. Recliner seats, clean facility, exceptional staff, decent ticket prices will give you a bang for your buck! My kids and I loved the experience, and we'll be back. The cost of snacks at the Concession though! That cost them a star. The prices are unbelievable. 3 small popcorn, 3 small sprites, 1 skittles, and 1 sour patch cost us $63! Double the ticket cost for 2 kids and 1 adult. Luckily, it appears that they allow outside snacks, so this will be the way to go next time.
Another great Landmark Theatre in Calgary! This location is very new and essentially everything is nice and up to date. The auditoriums have nice clear screens, the leather recliners are brand new and the new premier seats are available here which include coat racks, side table/storage, and more space for seating. The staff are like you’d expect, the lobby/box office area is clean and comfortable, and the washrooms are still nice as they’re new as well. All in all, you get the landmark experience you want but with brand new equipment. Parking is plentiful outside as it’s next to Market Mall.
I love this landmark location. It's close to my home and it's clean and and whenever I go the staff are great. I did however have a terrible encounter with the manager, Ryan, when I was trying to pre bulk order snacks for my daughters class which is planning a field trip later this week. I wanted to preorder 10 to 15 bags of popcorn for the class and thought it would be a courtesy to give the theatre a heads up and also have the items prepaid. But Ryan was unmotived to provide any assistance, provide any suggestions or even look up the reservation. Very disappointed.
Nice theatre, however almost every time I go here I have to argue/explain that the deluxe nachos come with all the toppings, including jalapeños. Yes, first world problem, but it’s annoying that every time I go here, I have to explain it to them. They always give me cheese and ask me to pick 2 and I tell them the deluxe comes with all of them and they say it doesn’t, and I have to get them to read the sign, and they still disagree. Fairly clean for the most part. I like the premium seating. Comfortable theatre. Would be nice if they had freestyle beverage stations.
Nice relaxing ambiance, nice staff. Lots of space to move around, clean bathrooms and the reclining chairs are very comfortable and spacious, makes you feel like your watching a movie at home. The sound in the theater is really good, and the screens are huge and have Laser Ultra which really makes movies look more vibrant and beautiful, giving a really good experience. Tickets are pretty expensive, that's why I recommend going on Tuesdays when it's a little cheaper(8.99 + tax). But all in all, would definitely go see another movie there with friends and family.
This location is always clean and has ample parking because it's next to a mall. They don't use paper straws which I really appreciate (paper straws just don't make it through a movie). They always staff enough people, especially on busy release nights. The seats are always clean so they aren't grease staining my clothing. There's a whole bunch of space in the aisle for everyone to walk through. Love landmark. I live in Cochrane, but go out of my way to come to the location because they really do love movies as much as I do.
I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews about this cinema. My only complaint is that the drinks are very pricey, and I'm sure the food is too (but this is pretty standard for movie theaters nowadays)...however the theaters are clean, the seats are comfy, and screens are large. I didn't find it too cold and I'm always cold. They don't have everything yet but it's fairly new so I'm sure in a couple of months it will get even better. The location is perfect for me so this will be my new go-to theatre.
This theatre has top of the line seating! The building is also sorry modern and clean. It seemed a little quiet during the late showings, but the place is brand new, and there are only 4 screens here. Or concerns would be trying to find parking in an already packed parking lot, the movie selection due to the screen numbers, and the popcorn being unseasoned (even with double layered butter). This is a nitpick, but with other landmarks having the self serve drinks, it would be nice if this spot had them too.
Still one of the better cinemas in the city. However, I did notice that the popcorn was not quite popping hot and for the combo pack the "large" candy was only a miniscule 105 grams. This is a small candy in a regular store. The #3 consists of a Large Popcorn with layered butter for an extra $2.00(?), regular soft drinks and the aforementioned large candy at a cost of $24.00 or 21.00 with membership layered butter included in this pricing. Still an overall good experience for the evening.
Brand new theatre that is very clean and well maintained. They block off seats to ensure social distancing and have barriers up between recliners in sets of two. Really comfortable seats that you can adjust and recline. Concession is what you’d expect but easy to pre-order and pick up at the counter. I’d skip the pizza though, when I come to the theatre I’m craving a slice of pizza but the small individual option leaves you wanting more. Overall I’m glad to be back at the movies.
I went to see Dear Evan Hansen the other day! Very much enjoyed myself! However the movie next to us was so loud that I could hear it over our movie. Might I suggest not having it so loud? I ordered my food ahead of time and then had to wait too long to receive it. When I told the manager he went there straight away to correct the issue. I appreciated seeing that! I want to make sure to point out that all the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back.
Sound system was good but really loud. We had to do up our winter coats to stay warm. The cold breeze from the air conditioning didn't help. Seats were very comfortable and you could adjust them the way you want. Washrooms were very clean. Slow service at the food counter as we had to wait while 4 staff members made up some popcorn. We'll come back in the summer when it's warmer and staff should know by then how to prepare for customers.
Their sofa seats for 2 are absolutely amazing! How will we ever be able to sit in a regular seat now?! Their is a small side table on each side of the sofa for drinks and snacks. Their is a coat hanger. The seats recline for the ultimate confort. Their is lots of room to cuddle and privacy walls for more comfort. We will definitely be going back and reserving these awesome sofa seats. You've got to try it to truly understand. Enjoy!
This must be the best theater in town. New and sparkling clean, only five auditoriums total and because of this and fantastic reclining seats that are real spacious and big it cannot hold anywhere near as many people at once as a regular theater so it doesn’t become a zoo even at full or near full capacity. We absolutely loved the experience and I genuinely think this theater is worth the drive even if you don’t live nearby. 10/10.
OK, so I haven't even been to the movie yet. Had trouble using online booking. So decided to drop in to the theater to see if I could get some human assistance. Box office was not manned but sign said go to the concession stand for tickets. Was assisted by Griffin. He was helpful, knowledgeable and patient with me. Excellence in service; something not that common in some businesses. An asset to Landmark.
Great place to catch a movie on the BIG screen, spacious comfy reclining leather seats. There are barriers every two seats, these do not block your view of the screen or make you feel closed in although not sure how well it would work for a group. The sound is amazing. The foyer is light and bright, with tickets available either from ticket kiosks or from the kiosk when you get your popcorn or icecream.
This is a nice landmark location. It's smaller so less show times available but it's always clean and the staff are quick. Also Maybe it's just the time I go because it's usually on a Sunday or weekday night but there is rarely a line for concessions or to get in to the auditorium wing. The auditoriums themselves are usually less than half full when I go and the double recliner seats are the best!
This location is a smaller theatre. But it’s brand new and clean. Washrooms were clean and the theatre was spotless. Doesn’t have that run down old smell. Doesn’t have as many movies as the other larger locations. But it’s closer to my house and does the job. The frozen yogurt was a little bit runny but everything else was great. Had a bit of a wait when grabbing food but Popcorn was made fresh!!
This was the best theatre I’ve been to. Very clean and luxurious. The recliner seats are pure comfort. It just can’t be more cozy that this. The staff are nice and friendly. Only suggestion as other reviewers pointed out, come around 20-30 minutes early as sometimes the food and concession lines could take time. Thanks Landmark for a great cinematic experience. Will absolutely return !!
This is a new theatre and i loved it. It’s quite cozy as there are only few rows and the seats are really good and comfy. They have leather sofas with recliner. The leg space is a lot and currently they also have dividers between your seats so it’s very personalized. It feels like you are watching a movie in the comfort of your own living room. Overall great experience
I think they have done a really good job at keeping their seats nice and clean compared to their competition. I don't really watch movies anywhere else. Last time I went to watch Fast10 the common areas like washrooms and concession could've been cleaner but I understand it was Friday end of day. Keep up the good work Landmark Market Mall!
I love this theatre; we thought because of the location it would be super busy and have long lines, but the opposite is true. They stagger the schedule, so you never have the hugs lines at the concession, nor at ticketing. The theatre is clean, has lots of parking and the seating and actual theatres inside are great!
Came here for the first time recently, and overall it was good. Staff were friendly, it was clean, not too busy. The main thing keeping it from 5 stars is the fact that already expensive concession doesn't have much for combo options to save a bit. Landmark would be more of a preference if they offered that.
Amazing in all ways. Wheelchair accessibility is perfect, the surround sound is beautiful, popcorn is everything you could want, and they have the best movies in the world. The recliner chairs are super comfy and you can actually fall asleep in them if you try. (And there wasn't a movie playing)
I would knock a half star off for burnt popcorn but I saw top gun 2 after waiting my whole life, so they get 5! Very nice, small theater though, and very comfortable reclining seats. Overall, would highly recommend, but seriously, guys, no burnt popcorn next time! …
Love that this theatre is one of the cleanest theatres in town. Staff are friendly and the seats are comfortable. We really like the addition of the rows of premium seats - these seats are also heated and have barriers with coat hooks between every second seat.
Nice, new and clean movie theater! The nutcracker ballet show has canceled so my girls were crying badly and I picked to watch the movie instead. Not so busy, the seats were very comfy and also the sounds were better than other theaters. We really enjoyed!!
Friendly, efficient staff, clean facility. Popcorn just this side of salty, just slightly but noticeable. Great sound, comfy and clean recliners. First time there after they opened a while ago, good to see they have kept it clean and have good staff.
Love the new look. It was a very nice staff, but they all seemed tired, so perhaps it is busy with new opening. The movie prices reflect the theatre quality which is top notch. The couch seats are great for couples or.... really great friends
Great theater, the only drawback is the blue lights on the chairs. They can be a bit distracting while watching a movie though. Also really nice to be in proximity to market mall where there is alot of eating options. Great theater for dates.
My opinion best movie theatre I’ve come across, saw No Way Home and Saw X and had the best experience, probably less than 10 people in each theatre and the most comfortable recliners I’ve ever sat on. Staff are pretty friendly too,
This theatre really needs to catch up with the other locations. Where’s the coke freestyle machine? I literally go to country hills location 5-8 times a month and would change to market mall if they just had those machines here.
The theatre room is not adequate for the sound used, is annoying how loud it gets and not sure if harmful. Aside from that service is great and chairs are ok, don't recline all the way back but is better than nothing.
This a small theater in terms of not that many theaters. We tried the pizza and is not good at all, stick with hot dogs. Those are the only options for hot food. The recliners are very good, love the wide arm rests.
Clean well staffed and never have had an issue getting in or seats. Seats are comfortable and the mid day weekday spaced seating is nice for privacy and covid related reasons. All in all a small but great location.
It's a smaller theater. The sound is great and the picture is great. One of the only issues I have is that the concession line can get pretty long. They don't have the self serve drinks, which would save more time
Ronald is SO AMAZING. He was the most considerate and patient person ever when my friends and I asked for help- We could have never asked for better service!! Please find him and give him a raise!!!!
My wife and I are here every weekend to watch movies- we always have a great experience. A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO TEAM MEMBER GABI. For making our latest visit wonderful! Keep up the good work Landmarks!
The theater was very clean. Reclining cushioned seats made for a comfortable film watching experience. It is a good idea to pay ahead of time and reserve your seats. This theater fills up quickly.
First time at this location. I was greated by Tammie at the ticket poduim. She made sure my family had eveything we needed before heading into the movie. Drink snacks and of course napkins.
Bathrooms, lobby, theatres, and seats are always clean! And being a newer theatre, the seats aren't showing their age yet. Nor have their led projectors dimmed, like many at Country Hills.
Besides the movie being very good the overall experience at that Cinema was fantastic. Overall the place was very clean and everyone working g there were very friendly and helpful.
Like that it is more compact than other Landmark cinemas (don't have to walk down huge hallways), but wish it had the self-serve pop machines like the Country Hills location.
This theater is so comfortable with their amazing recliners and extra space. My family and I do not go to any other theater anymore. We have found our entertainment home :)
One of my favorite theaters is any city. Small and not over crowded. No crazy arcade or kids area to make it seem too busy. Seats are amazing. Love this place.
Fantastic cinema hall. Very clean and well taken care of. The staff were very helpful and were attentive and resolved our issue promptly. Loved the exeperince
30 minutes in the concession line is too long. It would have been nice if the managers walking around had given some consideration to how frustrating that is.
Went to see Sound of Freedom and right when the movie began they shut the air conditioning off. We still stayed it was my first time there very disappointed
Great little theater. Wasn't busy. Leather recliners that turn into love seats. The premier sections have separate booths with coat hooks a storage cubbies.
Watched avatar 2 here and had a great experience! Love the very spacious seat. Screen and sound were awesome too. Toilet isn't in the cleanest conditions
Saw the Nun 2 for a 9:45pm showing. No one else there besides one other person. Comfortable seats, great popcorn, 10/10 better then cineplex
Watched Spider man across the spider verse in laser Ultra. Sound and visual were amazing, seats are so comfy on top that they are recliner.
Spotless! The reclining chairs are great for long movies. Monday nights are the quietest, how I prefer it. Wakanda Forever!
The recliner chairs are great. Very comfortable and lots of room. You can see the screen from anywhere in the theater.
Seats were really good. Not a very busy theater. Watched super Mario Brothers with the kids. It was a good experience.
I love this movie theatre. Always clean and love the recliner seats. I can never go back to a regular movie theater
Awesome theatre and staff. Very professional. The integrity is strong here. Definitely recommend this location.
Much improved lately. Wait time for food have reduced drastically. Great service, clean facilities. Fives stars
Better get there an hour before the movie if you want a snack! 45 min to get popcorn! Slow confection stand.
Unreal seats! Cheap Tuesday deal sweetened by how new and comfortable this cinema is. My new go-to cinema.
Really bad concession. Too slow, long lines. You need at least 30 min before the movie.
As with all Landmark cinemas, it’s very comfortable with recliners and ample space.
much bigger seats than Cineplex but the experience doesnt feel as well rounded
Land mark does not disappoint. Comfy seats that are electric and adjustable.
You must get the premier seats it’s more expensive, but it is so worth it!
Very comfortable and clean cinema, the premier seating is fabulous.
I loved their chair. The theater is so nice and comfortable.
Good place to go and watch a good movie. Comfortable seats
Love this cinema. One of my favourite so far …
Great theater. Clean. Love the reclining seats
