This place is in rough shape and it appears the parent company will just keep milking the cow till enough people stop going. I'm shocked mall ownership allows this to go on. if this was a retail store in the mall no chance it would be allowed to be this run down. Crumbling stairs, filthy, understaffed, food all over the floor, managers that try to look busy but fail miserably. Seats are old and don't recline but the price is the same. Had AMA coupons so just thought we would buy tix in person . That's a huge mistake. Arrived at 635 for a 715 movie , maybe 10th in line , and took till 710 to get to front book tix and get popcorn. Asked and paid a huge amount for layered butter on popcorn.... good luck.... could barely find any butter .... there is no way they used even 2 tablespoons and its an expensive perk.... I guess if you dont care, you dont care....Poor people in front of us ordered hot dog and nachos, only to find out after 10 min they ran out of both and couldnt fill the order. 1st, how do you run out of either by 7 pm, 2nd , how does it take 10 min to find out youre out Completely incompetent.....People in line were pretty upset and the chatter wasn't very pleasant but who do you complain to..... it was almost laughable, except no one was laughing. To make it worse , cashiers had had enough of complaints and were somewhat rude and moved at glacial pace to get your orders. It was like, what are they going to do, fire me..... Short staffed now so these folks believe they are indispensable. All in all, cineplex should be Embarrassed at this location and how it's run. Except I doubt they are! We will not return till we hear there is a massive improvement.

With many different theater rooms comes many different experiences. This theater offers a range of seating setups, 3D, 4DX, and also a sizeable arcade with some of the classics inclusive of air hockey and skee ball. One of the notable theater experiences that is offered at Chinook Center is the 4DX experience. In these rooms there are massive fans with intense power that blow wind during scenes that are fast moving or include flying animations, drops, etc. This is enhanced by the incredible motion that comes from the rumble seats. They move rather abruptly so make sure everything is secure at all times. In these seats you will find yourself raised above the ground as these things shake rather violently (which if I might add is quite honestly the best part). Inside these rooms during a water based scene or where there is spraying being animated on screen, the water jets activate so you can experience that feeling. Everything about that experience was awesome and I can't wait to see what else they add to enhance the movie experience and make it more immersive. One thing I love most that makes the theater so great is the fact they offer layered butter. Having to pump your own with no extra cost is cool, however I love having this service as it makes it easier to get to the seat and prevents soggy popcorn/butter clumps. Enjoy your film!

Admittedly I hadn't been to the Chinook theatre in years but I was still surprised with how run down it is. To start though, the concession experience was terrible. We went to the main concession which clearly displayed pizza offerings on the menu boards only to be told "oh we don't actually sell that here", then I asked for a water and the worker looked in only the one cooler immediately in front of her and said "ya we don't have that" and didn't offer to check other coolers just suggested I get tap water. Water bottles should be available more than any other beverage! Now as for the theatre (we were in Imax)... YIKES. The seats are still original seats I think. I am not a big person, height or weight and it was very uncomfortable for me. My boyfriend is 6' and barely made it through a 3 hour movie. I get not every theatre is the full recliners that you find in newer theatres these days but I expected better than that especially when you pay the same price. Also the Imax screen had a lime green line running through the bottom left side. Overall really bad experience and I will make an effort to avoid going back to Chinook at all costs!

The movie was ok but not overly great. But it's not very accessible. If I take my wheelchair I have to sit right at the front and crane my head back to see the movie and with my disabilities within 10 minutes of that I have a headache and just want to leave. But I can't get up higher to get a better view. If I take my walker I can't get up higher either. So I have to use my cane and then I end up tripping on the steps or on people's legs and feet. also the rest of the area isn't overly accessible either. I just want to have the same experience as able bodied people but there is always a stumbling block to get to where I want to go. Oh I try to go the straight forward route but nope can't get through so I have to try another way. and it's usually the longest route that is made for the disabled person to go through. Even parking, it's right at the bottom of the stairs and there's this looooong ramp to get up to the door. There could be a wheelchair elevator outside to make it easier for the person in a chair.

Went with my wife and daughter to see the Eras movie because like many Canadians, I can't afford to fork out thousands of dollars per ticket! Nor would I for a concert. Anyway....to my daughters disappointment, the Eras Tour popcorn bucket was sold out but she was able to get a cup. Popcorn was delicious and fresh as always! We were in theatre 5 (I think) and I was kind of shocked to see that the cozy recliners like other theatres have were not in this particular theatre. After sitting in these seats for 2hrs and 45mins, I came to really appreciate the cozy recliners in the other theatres. Overall, experience was great. The staff were friendly and the poor kid who had to make the announcement about dancing in the theatre during the concert, did a hell of a job! You could tell he was not in his comfort zone but he nailed it like a champ!

Just an average theatre... concession prices are high, but if you're a popcornholic... you'll cave. Service fees for digital tickets are an awful practice and like other Scotiabank partners (ie: Calgary Flames/Ticketmaster/Saddledome) lawsuit deemed it worthy of being fined over. My noteworthy personal experiences are as follows: 2021 — consisted of vile fascist moviegoers taking their problems out on others, in which I was accosted. Nobody should feel threatened and discouraged from going to the movies. (Cineplex did nothing with my complaint) 2022 — washrooms were full of swastikas (Cineplex didn't care, again) 2023 — They didn't have the IMAX version of Oppenheimer on release, which was disappointing but was a good film nonetheless. Lastly, Scotiabank is not a good partner to be affiliated with.

The only good thing about this theatre is that it's attached to a mall for convenience. The broken elevator is the running joke for the last 20 years. Why the owner can't get this fixed is beyond me. The actual theatre is the worst in the city. Maybe 2nd place to Eau Claire. Old school seats that are tightly packed. Staff takes forever to serve customers at the concession stand, resulting in 40 min wait times to serve just 10 customers. Honestly, how long does it take to fill a drink and scoop popcorn?? Not to mention there was no ice in our drinks, but they didn't bother to tell us. For the price we paid for tickets and concessions this was a total bust. This is my last choice of theatre to come to from now on.

Failed to project the 70mm Oppenheimer film on opening night. Customers had purchased tickets months in advance for the screening due to it being on film and being the only place locally playing Oppenheimer in this format. It clearly was not tested until the showtime, it didn’t work and everyone was kicked out. The management’s excuse was “we are used to digital,” quite simply one of the worst excuses I have heard; you’re hosting a special event, you test to insure it goes as planned. You definitely don’t make terrible excuses when it doesn’t and BTW a refund absolutely does not excuse the piss poor customer service the 200+ attendees were forced to endure. Shame on Cineplex. 0/5, will not be returning.

My experience with the actual theatre was fine, as expected. Seats aren't the comfiest around, but they do recline and are pretty nice in general. Good selection of various snacks and beverages, like ice cream with gummy worms and hot chocolates. What made this a five star experience for me was the amazing team working the Xscape counter. I was there with my son for his fifth birthday, (not with a party, just a fun treat for him) and they went above and beyond for him. They truly made his (and my!) day with their compassion and empathy. I didn't get their names, but they were wonderful to him. They didn't know, but he's neurodivergent and what might have been a small act to them made his entire day.

At this point this is one of the older theatres in Calgary (while at the same time not being an arthouse cinema). The seats aren't the most comfortable. There have been lighting and/or projection and/or sound malfunctions during my visits a handful of times. Last time I went in for a matinee the entire film was overshadowed by a very loud Hindi film that was being played across the hall and could be heard clearly in our theatre. The options for food are the number one selling point for this movie theatre. If you'd rather have something more substantial than popcorn and candies then the options are available. AND the escalator going either up or down is usually out of service.

Kevin Hardy went above and beyond for us this past weekend. When we reached out to Kevin, he exceeded all of our expectations. He answered every single phone call, every text, and every email. Kevin was professional, polite, and answered any question we had. On the day of the event, Kevin made sure everything was prepared and ready for our guests. I would give Kevin and his staff the highest rating I could. We were so thrilled with our interactions with him. He made our client appreciation event a huge success. Without him, things would have been a disaster. Thank you so much Kevin for everything you did for us on the day of, and the days leading up to the event!

This place has certainly declined over the years. Today in auditorium #9's afternoon matinee, it was so cold we thought about leaving. We were curled up with our arms pulled into our sweaters and didn't move so we could stay warm. The theater had a very unpleasant odour and there were actually fruit flies/fungus gnats flying around. Very runned down and not enjoyable at all. On a side note, when there are only 5 people in the theater, it would be cool if the volume was down. We stuffed napkins in our ears as it was so loud. Although, I guess that is the experience, so can't really complain on that one. More of just a wish. Seats were comfy, but stunk.

We watched The Flash, and the sound quality was shockingly mediocre. The projector even has a smudge or a scratch to the right of center screen. Where the hell is the upkeep in this venue? At another Cineplex we went to, the house lights didn't go out during previews or the start of the movie!! I had to walk out and find a staff member to tell them. Standards are really falling with this company. They keep raising their prices and taking away things like free popcorn/drink refills, and THIS is the kind of experience we get in return? If I want to watch a movie, I always try to watch it at any other theatre besides Cineplex. Enough is enough.

  • Patrick Dang

Worst experience of my life, I have never felt so disrespected by any person let alone a customer service employee. Went to watch Oppenheimer and was incredibly disappointed to find that the 70mm film was out of order so we asked for a refund, most of the staff were great, understanding, helpful not to mention stylish dressed up for barbie. One staff really left me with a sour taste in my mouth leaving disappointed, Conner M was his name he started yelling at me because he felt like I wasn’t speaking loud enough as well as yelling at his co-workers and managers. I never get upset at people but this was unacceptable!

My friend and I went to see the new Spiderman movie Thursday at 415. The movie was amazing but I wish they would monitor the theatres like they used to. There were 4 people in the row in front of us who were scrolling through their phone constantly and even made a few calls. When the movie was over and we were walking out, I saw the insane mess they had left. Spilled drinks, poutine all over the floor and popcorn everywhere. It was disgusting. Not entirely the theatres fault but surely there's got to be a way to contact them to let them know without having to leave the theater to grab a staff member.

  • Darren Valin

Typical Cineplex theatre in terms of service and offerings. We played a few games with the family after the movie, so we had a good time. Unfortunately, the seats in the theatre we were in, were the old style seating so not very comfortable, they lean back more than I want, but hard to stop them from going back, which was hard on my neck, and because they lean so far back towards the person sitting behind me, that person kept kicking me in the back throughout the movie. All could be avoided with an upgrade to the modern recliner seats that are available at other theatres, like Crowfoot Theatres.

  • Mr. Jesse

Slummiest theatre I've ever been to. This is where you want to go if you wanna punish yourself. I honestly can't think of a single good thing to say about this theatre. Old uncomfortable squeaky seats, poorly patched drywall they didn't bother to paint, even the stairs leading to the theatre look like they're about to collapse! The acoustics are awful and the screens have visible stains. They have homeless people waiting outside when the shows are done to beg for money as well. Overall, 1/5 stars is only because I can't give 0 and leave a review but this is undoubtedly a 0. I feel scammed.

  • Christian Rosas

Went to watch a movie tonight. Tons of rude kids in the same theatre being loud obnoxious taking photos and videos with the flash on etc. Myself and another couple happened to leave at the same time to make a complain in hopes that management would do something. And instead they didn’t do anything and she said “she can’t just walk in there and point the finger at people, but you can leave and get a refund”. Kind of a joke that instead of helping or trying to solve something that they would try to have us leave the movie who actually wanted to be there to enjoy a night out.

  • Zoe Anderson

Nice location but it is getting a little run down. I know they updated this location quite a few years ago but there are areas still that seem a bit out of date. Especially in the older theatre rooms, the seats aren’t as comfortable and it’s not as immersive as other theatre rooms in the same place. Popcorn is still amazing but I didn’t understand why you can now only pick candy from the top 2 shelves (and the choices are basic and not the best). In order to get skittles per se you have to buy them separately. Went to go see The Little Mermaid though and that was amazing!

  • Kirk Dewhurst

Cineplex Scotia Theatre is the premiere movie going experience. I have been to the one in Edmonton and now here and the ambiance is great for the night out for a movie. The prices for the movie is okay but for the food prices that is another story. Hey one should know that. It’s no secret that that concession charges an arm and a leg for the food but don’t buy if you don’t want to as you are not forced to buy. For the overall experience I enjoyed it. The theatre was clean for the most part as was the washroom. I would recommend coming here for the best movie experience.

  • D S

I love going to Tuesday Matinee and treat myself with some popcorn, but have been disappointed last few times, because there is no salt anywhere. I don't know if concession vendors are starting to economize or they forget to put the salt packages out, but this is the third time in a row this happens. There is plenty of black pepper everywhere, but no salt. Also the audio volume of the movies is too high, so I had to bring earplugs. Isn't there standard recommendation on the decibels? This ruins the experience! I'm looking into different movie theaters.

  • Mallorie

It’s got a really cool Egyptian vibe HOWEVER it’s getting run down feeling. The cleanliness is starting to slip - they put in new seats but didn’t fix some of the other problems. Accessibility is also an issue as you need to use their escalators or their elevator - both of which seem to constantly be out of order. I LOVE that they reach out to international movie lovers though and they often have films playing here that aren’t on screens elsewhere. It’s a cool experience though - especially for kids who will get a kick out of the decor!

  • Zahra

This location used to be sooo goood!!! I paid extra for my DBOX movie. The experience is horrible… idk if you guys removed the foot rest thingy on the seats but now with them gone my experience with DBOX was horrible. The escalator there to go up never seems to work. Under construction for at least few years now… definitely needs an upgrade this location. Also the pop u pay $6-$7 and its not even coke. It’s flat coke.. watered down. U order food items it takes at least 20-30 mins to make them. Overall, fairly disappointing

  • Stuart Gunning

First time going to this location and I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, the speakers were blown out in auditorium 12, the seats are very uncomfortable with stiff padding and gross rubbery material. Also the leg room is awful and the odd rocking mechanism (loose and squeaky) in the seat means you'll bump the knees of the person behind you or you'll accidentally bump your foot into the person in front of you jolting them forward slightly. For what they charge for a standard ticket, this cinema needs to be refurbished.

  • Medhanie

This is the worst cinema in the city. During the movie, around 15 teenagers started coming in and out of the auditorium, disrupting the experience for those who paid to watch Oppenheimer. These young adults were listening to music, taking pictures, switching seats, and laughing out loud. There was no one in the building to control or report this behavior to. The managers, if any, should lose their job for allowing such a scenario to occur. It is clear that their motive was to spoil the experience for others.

  • Cassie Soost

What ever you do, NEVER go to a 4DX movie. It should be illegal to not have to sign a waiver before you enter the theatre, you will come out of the movie with motion sickness and whiplash. It's like being on the world's worst carnival ride for 2 hours straight. The way these seats whip around is enough to cause brain damage, it should be equipped with seatbelts the way I was levitating out of my seat. Impossible to actually enjoy the movie. The experience was truly traumatizing, will not be back.

  • Kris Cameron

Hey Cineplex! Not only do I have NO idea what a serving of popcorn cost… Why do I have to stand in line so long to get it!?! No idea how long it would have taken to get, what must be the BEST popcorn on EARTH (based on the demand and cost), because I left without spending my money. How much revenue are you missing with these delays?! If you didn’t take so long, there’s no doubt my kids would have also demanded overpriced candy and drinks. Sorry Cineplex, your shareholders are missing out.

  • Darlene Saltesz

The movie was really great, The sound of freedom. Highly recommend. That is the only reason I gave two stars because the movie was great, otherwise it would be a one star experience The facility was disgustingly dirty. Not enough garbage cans, they were overflowing. The women's washroom had sinks clogged and the toilets had puddles of, well, who knows what, in front of them. When you pay that kind of money to see a movie the place should at the very least be clean.

  • Robyn Bourree

we just moved to calgary and this was our first experience with a cineplex location out here, it was a great first experience because of the great customer service!! the manager rebecca was wonderful and patient with us over the phone as we were struggling with our tickets, she made our night! the concession was busy but it was insanely packed for the big movies opening night and the concession workers handled the chaos amazingly. We will definitely be back!:)

  • Kendra Hammond

The projector shut off like 3-4 times for 5 minutes each during our movie and no one came in to talk to us or even help us. Over half of the theatre walked out before the movie ended. At first we only got popcorn vouchers and we had to go back to get a full refund. I’m glad they did give us (or a least a few people) vouchers for movies but I bet they just wanted to give people popcorn vouchers to make them ‘happy’. I will not be coming back here.

  • Ronnie N.

This is the 2nd time we’ve visited this location. And both times the theatre lacks in cleanliness and organization. They had popcorn all over the floors behind the counter which is dangerous if an employee slips and falls. The women’s washroom had toilet water all over the floors from a busted toilet. And many stalls were no one flushed at all. They were missing lids for collector cups and wanted to sell them for full price without the lids.

  • Marie Norman

My family and I had a great experience. Theatre was overall, clean. We played some games at the Game Centre before seeing our movie. The worker (I think his name is Brody) at the game counter was super friendly and positive and explained the different cards for us. Kids had a great time and he even helped us get our tickets sorted out. Employees such as this one is what makes a business stand out. Thanks for the great customer service!

  • Shannon Emary

Horrible theatre won’t be returning. Extremely dirty. My pants and shoes got stuck to the floor and seat by some sticky substance. The pop was warm and flat and had no ice. The movie we went to see was a comedy and the theatre beside must have been an action movie because it was so loud there were parts of our movie we couldn’t hear well because of the noisy from the movie beside us. To top it off it was extremely expensive.

  • L Sutyla

Definitely not returning. Washroom was filthy. Staff came in and went to the sheet checked off the boxes. Had to step over toilet paper in floor and water all over the counter. There is no paper towels so even if you want to dry the counter you can’t. My friend slipped on the sticky floor and fell to the ground. The ticket person looked up and then quickly looked away and did absolutely nothing. The theatre wasn’t even busy.

  • Dominic Evans

Saw an IMAX show here and was horribly disappointed in the quality of the experience. The film had constant green lines through the picture along with static and other visual artifacts. Additionally the theatre was dirty, with popcorn and other trash littering the entrance. An embarrassingly poor experience. As this is one of the last 70mm IMAX in existence, it is disappointing how they are treating this theatre.

  • Dhruv Patel

I watched movie in auditorium 14. It was first time experience at this theatre. The most uncomfortable and horrible seating it has and it is very old too. My back started paining next morning. Bus transit has better seats than this theatre. I was getting pop corn eating peoples breath on my face. I am not returning and recommending this theatre to anyone until they gets better seating and air fresheners.

  • Jack Loftus

Absolutely an epic adventure out in Calgary today! Doing it full baller style! 3D Ultra AVX! Large drink, Large nachos, with 2 salsa, 2 cheeses then layered in jalapenos and banana peppers! No line ups, good food and and incredibly well done movie that had me twisting in my seat. Lol! Loved the well comfortable seats and spacious theatre. Good staff and even found parking for my 18 wheeler.

  • Kali Chapman

I honestly wish I could give a lower review. I paid for good seats but when I got into the theatre the cinema was filthy food and pop everywhere. I could not even sit in the seats I paid for as they were very gross and full of pop. I told the manager about the problem and how nobody bothered to clean it and she was very rude and didn’t help at all. Pretty disappointed don’t recommend

  • p dot

Honestly? This place is becoming a dump. The comments about one of the escalators being out of service 100% of the time are true. The place just feels grimy and I would rather pee my pants on the way home than use the washrooms. I remember when this place first opened and the sparkle and shine has worn right off. Alright fine. I would rather not pee my pants but you get my point.

  • Pat Slaney

Really disappointed after not having gone there for a while. It seemed rundown, service was impersonal and somewhat rude, seats were uncomfortable and I was there to see the new Mission Impossible and I had a 5 year old next to me who wouldn't stop fidgeting and bouncing in his seat. The movie was excellent but the movie theater experience was extremely disappointing.

  • Val Derksen

This theater hasn't upgraded their regular auditoriums with the recliner seats at all except for the Imax. I prefer not to go to Scotiabank theater as other theaters around the city have more upgrades than this one. It's definitely not my first choice to go see a movie. Just went to a show there om Saturday. The seats are still horrible to sit in.

  • brett strongquill

Enjoyed every bit and the movies, always busy and has really good selection, great to go on Tuesdays too! And the service is great sometimes gets backed up but that's the same most places. Great popcorn and a good amount to select from, either it be food or drink. Had spent quite a bit of time there and reccomend movies I enjoy there all the time.

  • Garrett G

For a theatre that comes off so beautiful and amazing it is really run down. 1 of the escalators always seems to be under construction. Most theatres are dirty and some arm rests are damaged and missing padding. It should be like Sunridge or East Hills where every theatre has a seat recliner (especially needed in the IMAX).

  • Corey

Saw Across the Spider-verse last night, and twice during the movie the screen went completely black for several minutes. Both times the projector had to be reset and the movie rewinded. The second time this happened was right before the end of the movie, ruining the experience of the ending. No partial refund or anything.

  • Itsrikie

Scotiabank Theatre Chinook is simply amazing! The theater is spacious and comfortable, and the screens are large and immersive. The staff is friendly and helpful, making sure you have a great time. The concessions offer tasty snacks at reasonable prices. Overall, it's the perfect place for a fantastic movie experience.

  • Flairs Warss

The theatre is a bit older, the IMAX screens are worth the extra price but the room itself needs some update by adding recliners to them the old style seats are really outdated in the 70mm screen. The concession stand the popcorn was fresh, dim lighting though could use a bit more lighting. Quick service at the tills.

  • Mikayla Wong

Definitely very run down and outdated. First time going in a long time and it has shown it’s aging and lack of caring by a lot. Paid 19.20 per ticket for 3 people, and for that price you should at least lube the chairs. Cool they move but they are so squeaky that’s all you could hear the whole movie.

  • Olutomiwa Odujoko

It was as expected from a cinema. Weather controlled hall plunged in darkness, comfy chairs, random tweens giggling behind me. My friend and I saw The Black Panther and it was amazing on the big screen. I loved the self ticketing also cos it meant we didn't have to interact with anyone.

  • Thomas Reesby-Foster

This place sucks so bad. Worst theatre in Calgary. Lines take at least 45 minutes to buy some terrible $20 popcorn with synthetic butter and and extra charge for real butter. Hot garbage, waste of money terrible establishment that smells of cheese and broken dreams. DO NOT VISIT

  • Timothy Yue

This theater is fast becoming my favorite theater. The seats are good, and the best part about it is that it would stage international films from time to time, allowing oversea audiences to watch homeland movies on big screen. I watched 4? Hong Kong movies this year alone.

  • Mason Schall

Scotiabank Theater chinook has always been a good place to go. interesting style and design of the movie theater good amount of games in the arcade and more places to get snacks from then before. Always a good place to go for date night or a movie out on you're own.

  • John Ragot

It took 25 minutes to get popcorn on a Sunday because most of the tills weren't working. During the DBox AVX movie it stopped showing the screen twice and they had to rewind, taking away from the expensive movie. All of the other theatres are better then this one.

  • Cody Stobbe

Don't see why this is consistently the most busy theatre in Calgary. The seats our super outdated and need replacing the Imax theatre which they charge you $20+ for is as nice as other theatres regular seats. Theatre is clean and staff is great however.

  • Edgar Resbo

The theater needs an upgrade in many ways like food and drink options, seats. The scalator works half of the times, etc. Overall is ok but there are many others around the city with better venues. This theater has one of the best locations though.

  • Janey Grace

My boyfriend and I bought tickets for Barbie, but due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn't go. Cody was so incredibly understanding when I called about my situation, and within no time a refund was processed. Thanks Cody!! You're the best.

  • Adam Kostiuk

Ive loved this theatre for a long time but now that its ticket prices are the same as other, more comfortable theatres in the city, its time it becomes discounted or renovates to have better seats. At the very least, e22 in aud 9 is busted.

  • Stoodmuffin Personal

Pretty okay service. Theater was clean. But I do think if front line workers were paid better and had benefits, if profits were invested more to the front line than the c suite? There would be more of an incentive for better service. For

Went with my daughter and watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the theatre is real nice, the seats, the popcorn, we had a great time, after the movie, played some arcade games. I recommend to go, you will have an excellent time there.

Consistent movie going experience. Nothing to complain about. Often this theatre is the only one to show "special" movies that aren't screen anywhere else in Calgary. Movies from tv shows (Dr. Who etc). It's a well maintained theatre.

The service is always so efficient! The aura is so exciting and fun! The popcorn is addicting! The theatre always looks so clean. The friendliness of the staff is always appreciated! The seats are spaced apart just right too!

  • Heather Brown

Great customer service and clean theatres.I love the Egyptian theme going on along the walls outside the auditoriums. The Insidious door was also cool. The pop was very warm even with ice in it that is why I am giving 4 stars.

Just wasted 30 minutes trying to buy tickets for a movie I wanted to see going thru Cinepex s terrible system. And then after finally figuring it out, it charged me $3 for the privilege of doing their work for them.

  • Breanne C

Decent theater. My seat was very creaky so I felt nervous about readjusting myself during the movie because I didn't want to disturb anyone around me. Generally dirty and outdated but the movie showing was great.

IMAX was out of sync for Oppenheimer, will have to wait to see it now as tickets will be hard to get. Basically kicked us out and said good luck. Maybe try the film before you have an audience. Trash 0/5

Awesome! Scotiabank Theatres never seem to disappoint! Love the Egyptian theme and lots of neon! Only problem is popcorn bags need a Cineplex logo on them, they can't just use dollar store bags.

I won’t recommend this theatre due to their very compromised sitting system. Chairs in auditorium are old type and can’t be adjusted neither the Dbox one. No doubt, Staff is really great.

  • William Sullivan

Liked the show. Standard popcorn. We booked tickets on the app and had to take seats that weren't what we wanted and when we got there there plenty seats we could have had.

  • C

The movie selection is amazing, the IMAX is huge but the lack of full recliners in the Regular showings is really disappointing. Decor could use a bit of an update too.

  • Michael Barr

It's the only IMAX theatre in Calgary that uses film instead of digital. The experience is warmer and just a bit more life like. Also, the popcorn here is perfect!

  • Adam J. Humphreys

I do not enjoy this theatre at all. I have been about 6 times. It’s usually dirty, ill stocked, and the seats are uncomfortable. They could improve a lot here.

  • Rachel Ali

This theater has seen better days. The seats are sticky/small, and the consessions are rarely staffed well, but, ultimately, I go sometimes for the nostalgia.

  • Kevin Fulton

Almost the whole bathroom was out of order and very messy. So disappointing for an establishment of this caliber. will think twice before returning. …

  • Jason Godson

Pretty decent. Seats are not as nice as the other theatres around with recliners. At least at the movie we went to, they were regular fold down ones.

  • Gerald Madsen

Relatively empty in our theater, so no complaints. Ticketing is rather confusing with all the options concerning seats, sound, and special effects.

  • Darlene Swan

Saw openheimer..... A great movie. I took the stars down because the theater itself was freezing. It took us the rest of the evening to warm up.

  • Chris Sharein

They got new cheese for the nachos. It ain’t cheese. Its more of a flavoured slime.. Signs that their quality is dropping, wonder whats next

  • Richard Harris

It's a very nice place in the movie that I seen was very good the popcorn there is very good well-seasoned I suggest this movie theater

  • Jessica Que

Easy to book tickets online. Solid popcorn and butter. Comfy chairs. Large screen and great sound quality. No complaints.

  • Best of the best

The seats are good and a very large selection of food and games for you. You don't have to be bored if you're early.

  • Neil Pasqua

The movie was regular recliner but that okay. I enjoyed a hot dog and a pop pre-show. Next visit is gonna be in 3D

  • Kathy Carter Amundson

Seats are not so great anymore after going to Seton. Great staff, great area surrounding the theatre rooms.

  • Tim Joseph

Excellent prices. Comfy seats. Great selection of movies, snacks, and food. Friendly helpful staff.

  • Dawson Kaniusis

Best popcorn in the whole dang world! Snack and movies make any day great! Good theater and clean!

  • Victor Law

UPDATE: We enjoy the seating in this theatre. New movies are always available here.

  • robbthewolfking

Good screens the seats need to be updated though. Sunridge has better chairs.

  • Nathan

Not bad, but still amazed how uncomfortable and old the seats are

  • Arne Abrey

Friendly staff. Lots of choice as there are a lot of screens.
