I went for a private showing. I ordered a burger and asked the server if anything came with it. He said yes and listed the sides. When the bill came I noticed the sweet potato fries we a separate line item. After the premier I requested that the sweet potato fries and the tip, be removed. I explained what happened, that I never got my water, and no one ever checked in on me. He refused. Offered only the tip be reversed. I told him that was not acceptable 1. I wouldn't have ordered if the server had given me accurate information. 2. I didn't eat them 3. The server never delivered the water I requested nor did he ever check on me. 4. The burger was over charred until it had a very bitter taste and 5. The restrooms were filthy and smelly. I said in light of the horrible service me asking only for the sweet potato fries and tip be refunded is reasonable. At which point he said it was a private event they were not staffed for. He was offering a refund of the tip only. I asked if it was in his authority to refund the fries and tip. He replied yes and said but Im not. I asked if he thought that was a fair resolution given the amount of dissatisfaction I faced and he said tip only. Here is your receipt you can take it with you. Horrible managerial skill. Me and my network have premiered movies across the Houston area. I’m filming in October. That’s a lot of business to lose over less than 6.00.

This USE to be my favorite place to watch movies for years but ever since those apartments got built next to theater it’s become an unpleasant experience the last three times I went. Needless to say I’m done with SMG. That G now stands for ghetto. Last week I went in the early evening hoping to be different from the second to last time when I went at night and there STILL were some ghetto, disrespectful booger sniffing loud mouth kids acting a fool. They always seem to be at the top row shouting and yelling. I don’t care if you movie jump just shut up! They looked like junior high kids. I don’t understand how this is always overlooked by SMG crew. I go to the movie theater to relax and enjoy beverages and good movies so I’m not going to change my energy to argue with some knuckleheads. I did tell management those three times and by the time they send somebody in there to stay in the theater either the kids have left already or the kids know that an employee in there and they’re quiet and when employee leaves they’re back at it. By that time I’m already lost as to what’s going on in the movie and I can’t even enjoy it and leave. I left 3 TIMES! Management gave me free passes to return and refund because I leave. I’m done with this place and giving these passes as stocking stuffers.

Update: Studio Movie Grill reached out to me on July 23rd about my experience and offered to send me movies passes in the mail. As of September 17th, I still haven't received any movie passes. The first kiosk I went to wasn't working so I had to go to another one. I did like that you were able to order food and drinks from the kiosk. When I got inside the theatre there was a kid sitting in my seat so I had to ask him to move. I realized he was trying to sit next to his friend so I ended up letting him keep my seat and taking his seat instead. BAD CHOICE. He and his friend talked during the whole movie and at one point they pulled out their phones and started watching TikTok videos with the volume on. Smh... They even started taking pictures with the flash on. Towards the end of the movie, the lights came on and went right back off, but then the sound cut off. The movie wasn't over, but the sound wasn't playing. One of the servers said a manager was going to come talk to us. People started getting up to leave, but I stayed and what they ended up doing was rewinding the movie to the part we missed. I ordered a flatbread pizza and it was cold when they gave it to me. It was good, but cold. I don't think I will be returning.

Honestly, had a great experience the first time I went to this spot. Tonight though I regretted going back to this location, the movie was great (Spider-man across the spider verse), the seating and everything else was just fine but I messed up big time by deciding to dine in at this location. Let alone the 18 percent gratuity that was added to my bill, honestly if the server was half as good as the server I had the first time round I went here, I would have just tipped at least 20 percent, the waitress completely got my order wrong and ended up charging us for 2 separate pick 2 for 30 orders when we only wanted one that we planned on sharing. I don't fault the manager for not offering a refund because we had eaten most of our food but the servers really need to step up their game if they're going to automatically charge us 18 percent gratuity and to top it all off get our orders wrong. I'm really tempted to share a pic of my bill but I don't see the point in shaming the server on here for what might be a honest mistake('hopefully'). Y'all need to train your crew members better and the service I received tonight was just BS^MAX to say the least !!!

Omg I just love Studio Movie Grill so much. It’s the only movie theater I choose over all the others. Not only bc of their expansive menu and the ability to reserve my seating but the customer service is always top tier. I love the feeling of being catered to while enjoying my movie experience. The theaters haven’t been unbearably cold or hot either, it’s the perfect temp to just enjoy the movie. Honestly considering grabbing a part time gig there bc I love it so much lol. It’s literally a recurring part of my monthly self-care to-do lists. Not just go to the movies but "Treat myself to a movie date at Studio Movie Grill". The only suggestion I have is maybe getting new seat covers for the leather seats that are cracking to ensure the guests comfortability. Can you guess the movie I recently went to see??

Waste my time I never had an issue with watching a movie with my husband n my child and even after I told them I never had an issue she said that sometimes they make exemptions. She wrong for that I have proof on my account we’re I watch movies at this exact location with no issues. I had purchased my tickets online like I always do and after I walked in she ask me if I need help with tickets I told her no thank you I have already purchased them online and requested to check me in. When they have never check me in at the purchase desk it’s always been next to the bar. Thank you Katherine for ruining our movie night.

We got there a little early so rather than eat there we stopped at BreWingZ, ate and had a few drinks. I’m pretty glad we did because of the pricing on the food and drinks. Basically it’s just appetizers. The service was good and prompt, though six dollars for a soda and six dollars for some M&Ms was a little overpriced. After we got out of the Movies we saw tons of staff member just playing around in the halls (which isn’t too professional) but I understand that’s how it is when your young I just would have had them tone it down if I was their manager. I loved the movie and no interruptions was great!

Fun experience... Pricy... But fun. Theater was clean and the movie had clear, Booming Sound. Servers came fairly fast when needed and food and drinks were served quickly. I did have to ask for water 3 times, but maybe they're not used to serving water much. Ordered a tall draft Dos XX and it tasted a little off... Wasn't able to finish it. We got the Southern Egg rolls for appetizer and they were Great! Main course Chicken Strips were about a 3 out of 5 as well as the Quesadillas. Price tag was about $130, including the movie, for the wife and I. Overall good time and enjoyed.

We had a blast! I was a bit cautious after reading some of the reviews but we had a great experience. Some reviews mentioned no pre busing but all you have to do is push the “request service” button and they come right away. Everyone had a great attitude and were very friendly. So many servers! They tagged teamed it and helped each other out. We were so surprised by the food! It had great flavor and tasted fresh. We had a burger, the chicken and avocado protein bowl and cheese fries. Oh and a pitcher of beer We will definitely be returning!

Clean and well-maintained theater with surprisingly good, consistent food and wine selection. For hot summer night movie viewing, the a/c works so well that you might want to bring a sweater, just in case. This is a compliment, not a criticism! Not pictured, but if they have the hummus platter available, it's generous, fresh and delicious. You might not think you would get a fresh salad at a movie grill, but the salads here are better than a lot of pricier restaurants. A great way to have a night out despite Houston heat.

Charging an automatic gratuity is illegal. The customer service was horrible. Two waitresses would not serve us ketchup because they were not our waitress. They were very rude. Our waitress did not follow up to serve us after providing our order that did not include ketchup for French fries. We could not order more drinks because she never came back. Also the chairs do not recline. Worse movie experience ever at this theater. I will not recommend Studio Movie Grill to anyone! Nor will I return!

Please do not trust this Movie theater with your debit card information , they will double charge your card and do little as possible to revolve the issue. There was all kinds of problems trying to purchase tickets, then we get there and they put one charge through, and two days later the same charge again. My problem is how unprofessional the manager was in trying to resolve the matter.. My hard earned money matters to me.. Definitely will not be returning to this establishment...

More than a movie theater; it's also a barand grill ♨ This theater even has days/times to specifically cater movie showings to children with autism and disabilities! It's a wonderful thing as I got to visit as a nurse with some of my pediatric clients. Very nice and clean. Fast, friendly, proficient and professional service/staff. Wide selection of entrees and beverages for children and adults

Eh. This place has really seen some visitors. Our seats (all three) were torn and cracked in the seat area and very uncomfortable. I remember when it first opened it was very nice and the seats were more comfortable. I couldn’t see how it would cost as much to replace the bottom of the seats with the money they are making. Oh well things come and things go. Guess we’re trying Star Cinema next movie time.

The movie theater, as a whole, is clean. The waitstaff is nice and gets your order correct the first time. I do not like that there is automatic 18% gratuity. Make sure your button is working by seeing it light up, 2 out of the 3 seats i reserved for the Barbie movie did not work. All in all, prices are reasonable. I love the reclining seats (that are only the front 3 rows in the bottom of theater).

Movie was fine, but food service was terrible. Had to ask multiple times for my entrée because it took so long (more than an hour), and then when i tried to order dessert (again, multiple times), it never came out and they still wanted to charge us for it. One employee said "desserts come closer to the end of the film", which is BS because my friends had their dessert before i even got my entrée.

First let me say service and food were very good! My seat was terrible!!!! Pearland location Theatre 6 seat F4 was all torn up. I had to switch with someone in my party because it scratched them and I had jeans on so I took it, but it was just a completely uncomfortable seat. Needs to be replaced. Disappointed how much I paid for 4 tickets and I wasn’t even comfortable. Don’t buy this seat!!!!

I wasn't impressed with the atmosphere overall. There were way too many servers running around and it wasn't even a busy theater. The distractions by the servers were a bit too much when we visited. Food and drinks were very good but pricey but it's a movie theater so that's to be expected. Everyone was friendly and polite. Theater was a little dirty but that improves when the lights go out.

Great place to get away for a bit and the food is good with great portions. As 2 retired restaurant workers, y'all can keep getting better, like you have been doing. My kids go all the time. So our daughter treated us for Father's Day movie. Bought tickets online was the best thing. Ordering food was great but very expensive $$ for 3 people was $100. We enjoyed it. Very nice. I like the options of not seeing and movie, but can sit & dine in at the bar or a booth. Restrooms were clean but no air. Very hot & uncomfortable, that was the only problem.

Went to watch barbie, purchased tickets ahead of time so didn't have any issues there. We did order some food, I had the wings and they were really yummy. My only concern was, they advertise a pound of wings and I only received like 5 wings ( I could be wrong ) but overall food and service was good. Definitely recommend, plus they have matinee on Tuesdays so tickets are only $6.

We love going to the movies here! Great sound system. Comfortable seats, and the food is good. I can get a gluten-free bun for my burgers. The theaters are clean, and the staff is polite and helpful. My only complaint is the bathrooms. There are no hooks on the doors. Several of the doors do not line up correctly, making difficult to lock, and it needs to be cleaned more often.

Had a great time here. Been here a few times and tried many things off there menu all things are decent no complaints here. However I do wish all there seats would recline but other than that I will continue to return to this establishment. Came to se NBC and I loved it. Also would recommend looking on their website due to certian days having specials on certian food iteams.

Bathrooms are filthy and there was no toilet paper in the women's restroom. For this being a weeknight I would hate to see how it is on the weekends. It also makes no sense to order an appetizer. Both times it came out Long with the food and I specifically asked for it to come out first which is the whole point of an appetizer. Very disappointing. Will not be back.

Very run down in the theater area... from the lobby you'd expect more than old leather seats with no recline and office chairs from Amazon next to the handicap chairs.... they need to put as much care into the theater as they did the lobby/lounge area. The sound quality was great but the sound from the other theater was also great so it was competing a bit.

cool concept but my opinion I like the old style movie theaters. You already got to pay high prices for drinks,snacks,candy but when you add the tip that just pushes it over the edge. Also the seats were not great. Really worn out and not comfy at all. Should have not been $33 for 2 drinks, a box of M&M’s and a order of beignets.

Always a good time, comfortable seats, good food, good drinks. Great service! With me being a busy body, it just makes everything easy. No waiting in lines, for nothing. Only wish they still had the option to order food via the app. Before you go, you can go to the SMG website thru your broswer and place your food/drink orders.

This used to be one of my favorite places to go. However, lately, it has degraded to me deciding not to go anymore. We used to go for the food and atmosphere. There have not been any updates since it opened. The food quality and portions have gone down while the prices have skyrocketed. I'm sorry to see it go off my list.

The theater is nice and seemed to be really laid back. I would only say don't order any food! I ordered sliders and fries. the fries cost 3$ more, they gave me 8 in a pretty bowl lol. The meat on the slider seemed like a warmed up sasage patty. Overall nice place to watch a movie and have a drink just eat before or after.

The service was terrible I ordered beignets and asked for the Carmel sauce instead of the chocolate, waited 45 minutes to receive them w/ chocolate sauce, had I asked for the Carmel sauce the beignets would’ve been cold! I’m not sure if Gizzle or John forgot to put the order in & guys they still charged me! Very upset

We loved the food here. The fries are ridiculously good! Our kids had the cheeseburgers, we had the siracha sliders and the shrimp quesadillas. Inside the theatre we ordered the brownie dessert, a frozen hot chocolate and an espresso chocolate adult drink! Everything was delicious. Can't wait to visit again!

This is probably my favorite movie theater. I can buy my tickets online through the app, I hate that I can’t preorder my food anymore but it’s fine. The food is good and the vibes are cool. If you want reclined seats you have to get the floor seats or the the seats next to wheelchair accessible areas.

Well it has been years since I have visited Studio grill. And to my surprise they now charge mandatory 18% gratuity. The food is over priced as well. The girls restroom was very hot I think their AC unit is out on that side and the smell of urine was horrible. Yep that would be my last visit.

I've been to many dinner and a movie theaters, but not this. First time. Good food, good service. But the chairs don't recline back and they take forever to clean a theater. We were there 30 mins prior but they were still in the cleaning process they weren't done until 5 mins til the movie.

Maybe the back row isn't the best seating, because you can't bounce back in your seat. Very nice and clean place though. The bar is fancy fancy. But not crazy prices which is awesome! Six dollar movies on Tuesdays also! Anyhow it's a big leap from how I remember them way back in the day...

Nice venue and great customer service but unless you WANT to lose your hearing and develope early onset of Tinnitus, please avoid this theater. Visited here recently with a friend and the volume was extremely too loud! Even much louder than maxed out music being played at a night club.

It was nice clean and friendly staff. No matter what you do dont order the tempura fish and chips. Tasless. Flat. Hospital food is better. Anyway pepsi i asked for came when it was only 2 minutes left for movie to be over. Sound system was great so were the seating and the prpjection.

One of my favorite theaters been going there for many years since a friend introduced us. we was paying $2 to $3 they are still so reasonable and you can get all the refills of popcorn and soda you so desire. Also they honor senior citizen discount take the whole family go and enjoy!

The food service during the movie was good. The food itself was just okay...But the whole theater is dirty. The floors everywhere are visibly dirty and sticky. Even the bathroom and lobby area floors were gross. The women's restroom stunk. It visibly hadn't been cleaned in a while.

This place was great! Loved the service, atmosphere, and location. The movie theater was clean, food service was fast, and they did have mask precautions. This place would be good for dates, kids night out, and girl / guys night out. I had a good experience and would go again!

Nice seats, but they do not adjust like most other theaters that offer food. Also, seats are often sticky. Pepsi not coke. Also during the preview the servers are VERY loud and lights stay on fully so everyone talks. Personally prefer Star Cinema . Same price, but much nicer.

My husband and I visited yesterday, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, from the ticket person at the entrance to the people that wished us a goodnight at the end of the night. The food was great and the place was clean. We can't wait to have date night there again.

This was my first time at this location and it was a typical movie experience. The loungers were a plus and the funnel cake fries were delicious. They forgot part of my sister's order and eventually brought her food. It was okay. We enjoyed watching The Little Mermaid.

Will not visit again. This theatre was absolutely disgusting. All of the floors were sticky, the tables were dirty. The bathroom smelled horrible, had toilet paper and water everywhere. Food took an hour to arrive, was poor quality and overpriced.

I love coming here. The only thing is that Seats don't recline. But you have a wide bar selection as well as food! The seating is super comfortable and Has a tray like for your food and drinks. Reasonable pricing and good service!

Some chairs were mislabeled when buying seats we thought only the seats we chose were recliners but the seats in our whole row were like that.. It that was the case we would have sat in the middle but was still a good experience

The food is half the reason to come here. And honestly it just wasn't good. My beer was really nasty and the Buffalo Chips were really bad. The quesadillas were equally bad. Honestly I'd avoid this spot if you are hungry.

This theater is a great deal, low prices like a regular theater. Newly built well maintained. Self service kiosks, bar nd great food. Comfy seats except the last row. But it sucks that its far away from town.

Great Place. Seats Are Not Reclinable Only The First Three Rows In Front Of Screen Are Recline Access. Staff Is Great Bringing Your Food And Drinks. But Comfortable Seats Nice And Wide With A Good Size Table.
