Worst experience with staff named “JEZ” and others at Village cinemas Werribee I visited village cinemas Werribee with my family for Animal movie. Initially the staff wasted my time as I had vouchers and I wanted to use them but because the voucher didn’t work they asked us to pay. We paid and entered. Someone sat our seats so we requested them to move as it was our seats. Later this staff named “JEZ” comes and argues very rudely saying those were not our seats. I told him those were our seats and he was constantly arguing and later the other customers also realised that they did it by mistake. Jez didn’t even bother to apologise and walked away. He disturbed us in the middle of movie and because of him my spouse got upset and left the movie in the middle of show. I am very disappointed and we need compensation for our loss for 3 tickets. It was very bad experience. Later after the show Jez was again arguing so I reported him to his manager and she advised me to let you’ll know. I need my refund or I am further escalating this to the higher authorities.
Went to watch Wonka as we had a voucher I had to pay for myself 50 dollars and then nearly 10 dollars on top "booking fee". Really if I am the one booking then surely it costs them nothing. I was staggered by the prices on the menu and had never intended buying any food as I suspect it's total rubbish. The idea of Gold Class I thought was an improved experience hence the price. Where do you start the floor was filthy the seats were dirty and not comfortable at all. Lucky that I had an inflatable pillow in my travel bag. When the lights went up at the end I discovered a line of popcorn all around the cushions of the seats where I had been sitting. My son told me his seat was stick and crusty in some areas. All in all one of the worst cinemas I have ever been to. Would give zero if possible. Do yourself a favour save your money it's a dump.
Went to gold class yesterday and the movie started at 3.30pm. We ordered drinks and a dessert and asked for them to come at 4pm. Our drinks came on time but no dessert so I pressed the button and asked where they were and the waiter said they are being made. They finally came at 5.02pm and the movie finished at 5.06pm No reason given and we had to eat it quick as they started cleaning the theatre for the next movie. I was not impressed and won’t be going there again. Happy to take my money but service was poor.
So I have been at Village Cinemas Werribee to watching a Bengali (Indian) movie. I travelled from Melbourne City (South Bank). It took around 40mins to reach the place. Now coming to it's place: Cleanliness- Restrooms or Toilets was not at all maintained. Ambience- Quite lively. It was crowded that day. Food & Beverages - I found cold drinks, chips and pop corn inside the cinema area. It would be better if we could get few more items. Then people wouldn't have to carry food from outside.
23/12/2023 Gold class for wonka movie 1st time went there. As soon enter just like other werribee theatres awful carpet smell. Then I was waiting for my order. Dint come. Wait until half way of the movie dint come. Went there to the bar there. There were 3 ladies talking. Asked them where is my order. They had no clue. One lady said will send u soon. There is no apology even. Disappointed
2 stars would be too generous! Cinema seats were not clean, cinema screen had a big streak across it, speaker at the front must of been loose (terrible vibration). Bathrooms were atrocious. Felt like all the staff didn't want to be (don't blame them). Terrible cinema, taking into account the lower cost and higher expectations set by others such as the reading cinema.
Not sure since when this started, but the ad for "S*****" which was 10-15 mins long was so annoying while we were eagerly waiting for the movie to start. If someone is ready to pay, doesn't mean the whole audience has to watch that silly ad for that long. Village Cinemas could have done better in this aspect.
Nice cinema and friendly staff at the ticket counter. However, I prefer Hoyts comfortable recliner. This place also had unkept toilets, dirty sink was really unhygienic.
Nice cinema. Seats are not reclinable in screen 2 and the male toilet was in a bad state. For those 2 reasons i am giving 3 stars and not 5 stars
