I'd never been to this theater before but my experience reflects a positive desire by management. I went to the theater to prepay for an evening show and was able to accomplish this with no trouble at all. However, later that evening my friend was in a car accident and unable to get to the theater. I showed up and after telling the manager my dilemma I was given a new set of tickets for another day. However, when I showed up to see the movie the actions of the staff negated the good from the previous day. It all comes down to running the establishment with the customers enjoyment as the primary reason for everything. I paid $6 for a small bag of popcorn and was told that the price of the popcorn included one refill (which offset the cost/small size). But when I went to the concession stand to get my refill the theater employee had already emptied and cleaned up the popcorn machine and told me I was out of luck. I know it was only a bag of popcorn but me and my 2 friends waited until the halfway point so we could enjoy a warm bag of popcorn... Not gonna happen. So this is a good example of how management can ruin goodwill by trying to close out prior to closing time... Oh and one more thing, the employee actually offered me, "a bag of stale cold popcorn from yesterday". Yeah, that's what we were looking forward to... Thanks Vista

What a find! I'm so happy that I happened upon Vista Theater while walking through the Silver Lake area! We had just eaten by the Sunset junction at Sawyer, and were walking up the street to just explore and talk when we happened upon this adorable discount theater! It's a tiny one screen theater, with a small box office at the entrance. The tickets were only $9.50 (basically a bargain in LA) so we decided to stop and watch the new Beauty and the Beast! They had workers taking the tickets at the entrance and welcoming everyone in, and were dressed up as beauty and the beast! The theater inside is gorgeous, I loved the cute theme inside with Egyptian like sculptures along the sides. The little ads for popcorn and soda that played before the movie looked like they were straight out of the 80's and were so cute! I loved the movie going experience here! If you're looking for a fun time at a more affordable price, this is definitely the place to go!

It's an historic (so, older) movie theater where they show classic movies at midnight. The Egyptian theme is kinda cool, and the risers go down to a certain point, then go back up toward the front, which is great. It keeps you from having to crane your neck to see the show if you were unfortunate enough (or just late) to the movie. My only issues were: the seats are uncomfortable, but I realize restoration to historic places is just that...and the restrooms, which again, if they restore them too much, it's just not the same. Oh, and then there's the location. It's not easy to get to if you have to come through the lights (the stoplights on the opposite side are ridiculous for pedestrians, and cars, frankly), and the area is a bit sketchy at night. Otherwise, it's a cool little theater, and it's fun to watch classics in an historic place, as well.

My favorite place to watch a movie. Why, you ask? Is my favorite place because it has history. You can feel it in the plaster of the walls.you can tell it from the Egyptian motifs that surround the space and the quality of the room. Many people have watched many movies in this space. The staff and owner take the place very seriously but also keep a sense of lightness, the owner will always appear in the costume of the hero of the story. Many times I've gone to the theater and the owner is there in full costume waiting for you to take the tickets. Also the classic films that play on of days are a joy to see in a theater. Check out their schedule for these gems.

Always love watching a movie at this theater especially when I'm on the east side of town, however my last experience over the weekend was not too pleasant. Management needs to do something about the bug problem with their seats. I'm hoping they weren't bed bugs, but my friend and I were bitten by bugs in our seats. Our napes were covered in red welts after the movie. Please do something about this as I like going to this theater from time-to-time. Right now I'm having second thoughts as I don't want to bring back home these bugs and cause some form of pest infestation. Thank you.

  • Ross Reeder

Quite possibly the best independently owned movie theater in the United States. Very reasonably priced playing first run and speciality movies at $6.50 for matinees and $10 for evening shows. They generally screen first run studio movies, independent fare, and have been hosting Secret Movie Club’s 35mm film series for morning and midnight shows. The theater itself is a gorgeously kept single screen with the Egyptian themed motif circa 1920’s. Not only do they screen in 4K and 35mm, but they also use REAL BUTTER for their popcorn. Cannot recommend this LA gem enough!

  • Dinner With God

Where else can you go see a film with no commercials, previews, or concession commercials? What a joy it is to experience film on 70mm without all that obnoxiousness. I am so grateful to Quentin Tarantino for reviving this beloved neighborhood gem and saving the joy of experiencing films as we did before the digital and corporate era. As a longtime resident of Los Feliz, I literally teared up when entering again after 3 years. The theatre is gorgeous and with a real community feels I hope he buys all the landmark single screens that are in jeopardy of closing.

  • Sherman Rucker

This theatre is pretty cool, and you can not beat the price, great and affordable. even the full priced tickets are cheap. Lots and lots of room, leg room for the tallest person, seats are comfortable, and the place is really clean. The decor of the theatre is by far the neatest thing about this place, with the lobby it seems small, then you walk into a very large open area that is eye catching, Egyptian decor and very nice sized screen. As well with an impressive sound system, a great place to go see movies and not break the budget. Will be back soon!

  • Jovita Calo

I live nearby and the prices of tickets are very affordable. Having a very friendly and accommodating manager in the person of Victor, who would gladly pose for a photo with moviegoers whenever he wears a costume portraying the main character of the movie currently shown, is a big come-on and an effective marketing strategy. The real big space along the aisles and in between rows of seats, offers a major comfort to moviegoers plus the superb sound system makes temptation hard to resist to watch movies at this theater. It's one of the best in L.A.!

  • brandon lowry

Anyone rating anything less than 5 * should have their head examined. This is hands down my favorite theater...it has character, charm and great service that you cant find anywhere else. They don't unnecessarily blast the AC or have annoying ambient lights. The manager always participates in costume during some big opening nights and has been for many, many years. One of the last true gems. I will be the first in line to protect the Vista if anyone ever tries to tear this place down for some terrible new development.

  • Marky The Larky

All I can say is wow! This theatre is awesome, the lighting the egyptian style statues, the sound, the staff. This is the one of the best theaters I've ever been to. The rows were so far apart you could easily stroll from your seat to the aisle (there is a center aisle and one on each side so people have multiple access points). Even better, they offer not just the latest blockbusters but also old classics. You never know what they're going to show. Cynthia at the concession stand is super beautiful BTW.

  • Daniel De Oliveira

Pros: I'm just happy this place exists. Retro theater and a lovely experience overall. Cons: The seats aren't in any useful incline for a better viewing experience. Alos the seats are aligned right in front of EACH OTHER. What this means is you can seat behind a person with average height and see the back of their head the entire feature. Otherwise if they gave free or discounted refills for their typical over priced sodas that would be nice, something different... Think about it.

  • Anthony Murillo

Best theater in all of LA, PERIOD. When it comes to the movie experience nobody comes close, you are in there with all the other people as the lights go down when the old soda ads and popcorn ads come up and you know you’re in for a good time. Whenever there is a blockbuster coming out you have to see it here, I saw endgame here and Dunkirk here among others and that is the right move. They also play older movies or cult classics for midnight screeners too, what is not to love?

  • Timothy Pearson

Not only is this probably the oldest and coolest theater I've been to, but also the most courteous... The staff was cheerful and unique in their own right. Even more, I left my iPhone there at a late movie showing and returned the next day in hopes it wasn't stolen...it wasn't. They had it there and informed me that the cleaning crew found it and turned it in. Thank you Vista for the wonderful and roomy movie experience, and especially for returning my phone. :)

  • Victor Romero

I was always passing by this theater (vista theater)and i said to my mind i want to go to this theater so i did and it was great small from outside but this thing is huge lots of leg room ill give this a 5 star and cheap tickets and i got a large popcorn for $5.50 and it came with a free refill so if you finised it you get another large for free my first time going to this theater was 2/23/18.i went to go see black panther that day. Reccomend go to this theater.

  • J.M.G

What a great cinema! It's quite a large space, the seats are spaced out well, the sound system is awesome and the decor is amazing. It's like you stepped back in time. Yes the seats are dated but you don't really expect modern goldclass reclining chairs in a vintage cinema, that wouldn't do it justice. But they're not uncomfortable either. Watched IT here and they really knew how to set the mood. Highly recommended. Plus the matinee show was only $6.50!

  • Steve Ziesing

This is one of the great movie theaters in Los Angeles! Been around for a long time and was remodeled about 5 yrs ago; great seats with easy viewing of the screen and state of the art projection system; the staff us wonderfully and very approachable! Parking can be a challenge, but apparently everybody found a spot or came by drop off service The popcorn is good and fresh, so it's a destination you have to put in you must do book!

  • Ryant Takai

Came here with The Mandalorian and Star Wars Universe group via Facebook to see Rise of Skywalker. Had an amazing time, enjoyed the atmosphere. Vintage with a touch of Egyptian art Deco. Very clean and enjoyable, service is great here. Very expedient in the snack bar area and prices are lower than most theatres. The matinee screening was just $6.50! Cannot remember when it was so inexpensive. This place can take our monies.

  • Kyle Ian Fisher

A classic feel with modern equipment. The Vista Theater is not only the most comfortable theater I have been to out here, but it has an unbeatable price. And if you're a fan of classic movies, pay attention to their Secret Movie Club. For added fun, their Epic Manager goes out of his way to dress up for each and every big hitting movie to come through here. Sometimes, just seeing him is worth the price of admission.

  • Gene Dryer-Bivins

The Vista is a vintage theater that's been restored. It's a classic neighborhood single-screen theater with an old Hollywood Egyptian motif. The staff is helpful and the prices aren't exorbitant. It's always a pleasure to see a movie there. I've been going for about 35 years, since before it was restored. It's my favorite place to see a film, much more pleasant than the reigning multiplexes around town.

  • Kenneth Lopez

If it's a big movie like endgame, you're going to have to wait in a line outside, not ideal for the summer heat. There is an Ice cream place next to it so that's good. Parking is questionable, but you'll get around one way or another. The theatre itself is small, but it has everything you need, bathrooms, a place to buy popcorn and snacks, and a big ole screen with comfy chairs and a lotta leg space

  • Pol Steel

If you haven't been here, get here! Even the back side seats have perfect sound. 8 ft. between rows. Erie Egyptian goddess peering out into the shadowed theater, amidst long red velvet adornments. Jewel box, box office! And next door, Super Cool Ice Cream is as good as the entire movie theater. Best show, best ice cream ever, even beats or wonderful Silver Lake gelato place, and that's hard to do!

  • Jovita Calo

This cinema is cozy to be in, with plenty of leg space, nice ambiance on the Egyptian decors, good vibes with the staff specially the friendly and welcoming character of the Manager Victor who is really into his passion for wearing costumes which matches the movie shown. Wide screen, very good sound system, cleanliness and very affordable ticket pricing are a plus. I highly recommend this place!

  • Emily Hunter

We came here yesterday and it was the best and enjoyable experience we had. This may be small, but it was a very comfortable cinema. The plush comfy seats made me feel like I seeing a film in a private screening. The air-conditioned was cold but bearable. The prices and food at their snack bar were very affordable, too. We will be back again when a new movie releases. Thanks!

  • Francisco Arias

Retro movie experience, it is awesome that they have kept the intros and the announcement from what looks like from the 70's. If you want to experience an old school movie going experience this is it. No tickets online, no reserved sitting, pop corn is great, seats have insane leg room, prices are incredibly low, screen size is decent, sound was a little bad for Mandy.

  • andrew marchal

My favorite theater in all of Los Angeles, it might not be some fancy 3D IMax bullocks but it is a solid digital projection on a good sized screen with good audio. The seats are comfortable enough, the staff are friendly, and the patrons respect the theater(they don't talk and text). The manager dresses up as characters from whatever movie is showing on opening nights.

  • R D

Amazing old theater. Came here for a premiere, so can't speak to ticket prices (seemed cheaper than other movie theaters). Screen is a little smaller than the new stuff but the seats are super comfortable, and there's a ton of walking room. Definitely will return at some point. Lastly, the interior has been well kept and the old Hollywood vibe is amazing.

  • Christopher Gomez

Outstanding seating with plenty of leg room. Only one screen, so showings are a little lacking in variety, but it's a true movie palace. The theater also works in conjunction with multiple midnight movie series like Nerds Like Us which makes up for the lack of normal variety. Really an experience you need to try and will most likely come back for more.

  • Krys DS

The only thing you can complain about here is parking. Everything else is something to rave about: great leg room, great screen view wherever you are, price on tickets and concessions, movie offerings and times. Everything is on point. Add great staff, wonderful fun events, and amazing location in the Silver Lake neighborhood. Can I give this a 7 star?

  • K. Jenisha Hasselberger

Live in the neighborhood and this is absolutely my favorite theater. Old fashioned big theater with the best seats everywhere in the whole place. Sound is great, screen is big, decor is old school wonderful! Be careful where you park...walking is good exercise! The manager is awesome in all the costumes he dons for each show, especially the big ones.

  • Michael Martin

Excellent! I think of this theatre as a neighborhood treasure. The screen is huge, the sound system is great and years ago, they took out every other row to give extra space for your legs. The result is a wonderful old theatre with modern amenities. The choice of films is always good. The manager dresses up as characters from the films - super fun.

  • Allo Sir

A surprisingly beautiful and spacious house, does give off a nostalgic small theatre vibe with old Hollywood twist. Seating is great, and the price of admission hard to beat. A nice place to catch an indie film and to bring the folks for a family picture. Concessions are limited, but all you really need is popcorn and they got it fresh.

  • Vincent Duvall

This great retro remodel single screen theatre is full of leg room and great sound. Popcorn always fresh and friendly easy service. It would be a great place for screening parties and events but the most often have current programming. A Noir fest would be great here too. Definitely supported by the locals and noted as a historic venue.

  • Christina Ha

Seats are new and wide, tons of leg room (less chance of getting the back of your chair kicked), they feed the film's audio into the bathrooms (less chance of missing a pivotal scene), and super clean! Plus the sound system is crazy!!! I was able to find street parking on a Sunday night for NAPOLEON but bring a jacket cuz it gets cold!

  • Emily Lam

Definitely a great movie theater to go to. The owner will dress up according to the movie that is currently playing such as Spock for Star Trek. Previews are shown for about five minutes after the show time. There is no major parking lot since it is on the corner of two street intersections but you can find street parking nearby.

  • Tom Castle

This theater is a very unique theater. While it has a tiny screen and marginal acoustics, it is all compensated by the fact that the theater is beautiful. I would never see a blockbuster at this theater, however maybe a b-list film where I am going for the experience and less for the film. Overall good theater, would recommend.

  • Marco Larsen

Best theatre in the Los Feliz/Silver Lake area. Comfortable seats, plenty of leg room to stretch out. Great fresh popcorn. Sound is loud and clear. The manager, Victor Martinez is always there in a themed costume to greet you. Great $6.50 matinee price. Wonderful interior. Just get there early to get a seat, can fill up fast.

  • Patrick L.

Hands down my favorite theater in LA. Great sound, spacious seating, and film choices. Decor and popcorn are top notch and the manager... Goes above and beyond (usually in costume) to provide a unique experience. Street parking is the only drawback, but arrive a little early and you'll find something in the neighborhood.

  • De'Jong Monique

Everything you want in a quaint neighbourhood single picture theater. Lots of historic Hollywood flair, cozy seats and The Friendliest hosts I've ever encountered at a movie. On top of showing my favorite movies, They have costumed characters for many different events, great for kids and adults alike! -1 for No parking.

  • LEO UR.

The best movie theater in Hollywood! Victor the manager is always super nice and the presentation is always spot-on. They removed a row in between each seat so there's the most leg room of any theater. The concession stand is also reasonably priced for a movie theater. Check out their midnight movies for a thrill.

  • Johnny Swaggin Zardoz

Absolutely fantastic historic theatre. Only one screen, but they usually are playing something great. Local street parking can be difficult and they don't have a valet, so show up early. There's plenty of places right there for you to eat or drink or all around have a good time before your show, and after!

  • Mike Spearman

The Vista is my favorite theatre prices are low. The theatre is a big old building. The seats are spaced apart so you don't step on others. I saw once upon a time in Hollywood you have to see this movie especially if you lived here in 1969. This movie rewrites history and brings relief even if fictional

  • Kahlen B

I lucked upon this when I was scrolling theaters in town and didn’t want to pay $18 for a matinee ticket. $6.50 was the cost at The Vista and what an awesome place it is! Great atmosphere, comparatively inexpensive concessions. What an awesome place to see a movie and support a non chain theater.

  • Julian Stone-Kronberg

Best movie theater in NELA. Large one screen movie theater with Egyptian styling. They removed every other row of seats a while back so there is plenty of room to stretch out. Ticket prices are reasonable, as is popcorn. The manager sometimes dresses up like characters from the movie being shown.

  • Grey Comm

Classic theatre ambiance. Outstanding sightlines, picture and sound. Comfortable seats with unparalleled legroom. Good selection of reasonably priced concession items. Fresh popcorn. Always clean and neat. Civilized audience and excellent staff. Well worth the admission price especially matinees.

  • glori

loved being able to watch a movie in such a historical spot! Felt grand but intimate at the same time. The sound system is great, popcorn and drinks are not over priced like other places, and i loved the leg room and red curtain pulling back when the movie started. will definitely be back!!

  • Dylan Littlefield

A beautiful theater, we'll preserved and we'll taken care of. It is a jewel in Los Feliz. It was wonderful to sit in a theater that wasn't sterile and wasn't plain. Just as much as the movie is art, so is this magnificent movie house. It was like transported to they heyday of old Hollywood.

  • Brad Kruger

Hard time to describe how awesome this place is. It was like stepping back in time to the things you loved the most. Employees were thoughtful and seem to care about guests... facility is fantastic really liked the legroom offered by not having a row in front of me...will come back again!!!

  • Tom Gregory

Very Cool renovated venue for classic and boutique movies. Reminds you of the Golden Days of movies in the 1930's and 1940's. We attended the first screening of a relatives great Action Movie. This theatre can cater horderves and champagne for groups like this. It was a wonderful event.

  • Allan Raymundo

Your typical standard theatre with historical value. There is only one theater but they show current flicks. There is no reserved seating. The inside is comfy with plenty of space between isles and seats. Seats are comfy but not recliners. Early movies are 650. Parking is street only.

  • Jason D'Alberti

I love this theater. $6.50 for the first showing of the day, 2 dollars more for the rest of showings. Its only one screen and they usually play the new release of the week. No online purchasing so you might have to wait on a line, though I never myself I have seen one once or twice.

  • Marie de la Vega

love this theatre! crazy leg room, vintage decor, great ticket prices. while they only are one theatre and show one movie, they update what they're showing every week or two. and If you're lucky, the manager will be in costume! he dressed up as Wolverine for their showing of Logan!

  • Rebecca Broughton

$6.50 for a matinee in Hollywood? Inconceivable! Great throw back theater, seats are updated amd comfortable, the popcorn is real, and the ticket taker is dressed up in costume to match the movie. Plus most of the clips used prior to the movie started are from the 70's and 80's.

  • Paul L.

I really like this theater. While it only has one screen, it plays new movies and the price is good. $9.50 which is a lot better than other theaters in the area. There are also a lot of leg rooms every row - like 5 feet worth. The interior design is nice with Egyptian schemes.

  • Raj P (Rarjar)

Very nice old timey theater. Lots of seating, not all stadium. So glad I discovered this gem. Will definitely be going again for a special night out with the wifey. Audio and video was great. The seats were what to be expected of an older theater, but still comfortable enough.

  • alice chung

Cute theatre with awesome decor. Truly amazing sitting inside as the design is truly enjoyable by itself. Any seat is a good seat. They only have 1-week runs for the films they screen and it only screens one film since it's only one theatre. Great local gem for cine fanatics.

  • Ricardo Jimenez

I have always loved going as a teen. Now, I'm happy to take my son to see his hero's live when they have one of the employees dressed up and greeting at the entrance. Whether its Spiderman or Optimus Prime, it's cool to see this place stays family friendly. Highly recommended

  • Maria Lacayo

I love this little theater. I've been coming since before they renovated the place. I love the legroom. The comfortable seats. You just have spacing you don't feel cramped up in a theater. It's a comfortable nice place to go relax and watch a good movie I would recommend it.

  • Deborah Elice

Beautiful historic theater with comfy seats & lots of leg room. Staff were very friendly & nice. No reserved seating & very long lines to get into theater, which seats about 400 people. Long lines for small restrooms & concession counter. Both too small for a large theater.

  • Wendy Leatherwood

Beautiful theater. Large screen. Comfortable seats. Arm rests, cup holders, leg room. Not a bad seat in the house. Especially love the fresh popcorn. One of my favorite places to see a new movie. Small restroom, only two stalls, so I recommend not drinking a large drink.

  • Misty Arceneaux

It's one of those classic old school theaters. It's not super big modern seating or anything like new theaters but it's still pretty comfortable. Really cool looking though and the staff is super personable and friendly. Tickets are only $10 too, so that's a big plus.

  • Ronald Joseph

Filled with charm, grace and elegance of yesteryear. One can't help but fall in love with this theater. With an over abundance of leg room so wide the only way you could feel more comfortable you'd have to be home in your recliner. I plan to return again and again.

  • Diego Galtieri

Historic theater, it keeps its original style with Egyptian decorations. The seats are very comfortable, they have plenty of legroom since they removed every other row. Tickets are also cheaper than average. The only problem is that is hard to park in the area.

  • Tina Williamson

It's cool cause it's vintage not old. The line is trash but it builds anticipation. Definitely great prices and no bad seats. It was funny watching people having to interact with one another to find out if seats were taken because there is no assigned seating.

  • Dino Koutsolioutsos

Terrific old theater, a real historical building. They have elliminated every other seat row, so now you can sit with way ample space for your legs. And the tickets as cheap as they get. Terrific bargain. Saw the film ROMA , there. A terrific movie night!!!

  • xiomana xoxoxo

Great sound great large screen in a cozy theater with very very high ceilings like a private Movie room in a mansion..excellent. Great price $10 bucks for just released films..can't beat that..and its beautiful-lovely. love this place and I am picky very.

  • Jessica Campion

Great one show theater , with all the vintage Hollywood charm you could ask for. Lots of leg room, tickets are the right price, and on opening nights the ticket checker is often dressed up as one of the main characters. Love this neighborhood theater!

  • Kay Jay (케이제이)

Cool little theater. Pricing is great. The ambience is beautiful on the inside. Not too happy about the parking but that can be overlooked because of the size of this place. The vibe is upscale and comfortable at the same time. Would highly recommend.

  • sam oksner

Best room in LA for sure, tons of legroom, great viewing angles from anywhere, 4k projection.. oh and tickets prices are very fair and concessions half what youd expect to pay at a big chain. Awesome theater, just show up early for street parking.

  • Jwong Cheng

This is the greatest movie theater ever. Tons of legroom for people who are tall like me and it's just a beautiful place. It's appreciated if you like good architecture. This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. Worth the drive.

  • Daryell Claude Camacho

What a once in a lifetime experience at the Vista Theatre and genius choosing the Italian Oscar winning movie Cinema Paradiso as part of a series of films chosen for this summer series. Looking forward to the Fall Series and Spanish Dracula!

  • Nikki Pierce

If you want to experience the movie houses of yore, The Vista is your place. The historic one screen theater plays all the latest but in vintage style. Line up early to grab a seat but don't worry each seat has plenty of room and is a good

  • Alison Carter

Beautiful historic theatre, very lovingly restored and kept up. Love the bright, colorful Egyptian decor. The theatre is very clean and the staff friendly and enthusiastic about movies. Love all the legroom between rows. The bathroom is a

  • Jamie Leal

My favorite theatre! There's only one showing at a time and enjoyed the experience of buying tickets through the front window, they had a welcomer dressed as one of the cast (a chimney sweeper from Mary Poppins). Definitely recommend!

  • Alyson Harper

It's a small theater. The options of snacks are not as of a large selection. But it is nice. The staff are better able to cater to you. They were friendly. The theater was clean. The isles are very spaced out compared to other places.

  • warden white

A great neighborhood theater and a superior viewing experience. Their popcorn is quite good, using real butter. And the seats are all comfortable and there is massive amounts of legroom. I couldn't recommend any theater more highly.

  • Cody Elles

Absolutely stunning Theatre. Despite its ostentatious decor and Old-Hollywood aesthetic, the Vista feels like the small town, mom and pop theaters one would find around the country (at least before AMC started buying everything up).

  • Emmanuel Deleage

Popcorn better than most movie theaters. An overall better experience than than the mega malls. Parking can be difficult, but the nice walk in this exquisite neighborhood is great way to reflect on the movie you just saw.

  • Timothy Moorehead

Excellent theater. One of a kind. Valuable. Not your prissy twenty first century BS. Value. I love each time I been there. Who else is going to have a dude in full Black Panther or Wolverine costume greet you lolz.

  • Margo Prodan

Absolutely one of the coolest theaters I've been to. Lovely staff and it's so clean! Fresh popcorn and their soda on tap did not give me indigestion like other places fountain drinks do. 13/10 would recommend.

  • Ambar B Capoor

Beautiful old theatre, with art deco lighting, motifs and sculptures. Comfortable old seats with really, wide rows. Sound may leave a little too be desired, but certainly one of my favorite art house theatres.

  • Santiago Pazos

My favorite theater in LA, period. As far as I understand it is still owned by the original family. One of those local theaters you want to support. Crew s reasonably polite and plenty of leg room on the sits

  • Fawad Shaiq

Awesome classic single screen theater with really cool decor and theme. Prices are almost half what the big theater chains cost. Only downside is you can't pre-select your seats and it's not stadium seating.

  • Alejandro Ramirez

My experience was good. I had popcorn. With butter of course Diet Coke with lot of ice my seat pretty roomy between seats comfortable Acoustics are great enjoyed the movie. Great place to watch a flick …

  • Whitney Barncord

Vintage Cinemas is an amazing group - I love their theaters, not to mention their prices. An affordable movie ticket in an historical theater? Sign me up! Screen and sound quality were great as well.

  • Devin #flowtherapy James

I thought it was a great theater experience in that it only runs one movie at a time. It definitely gives a throw back feel to how movies were experienced back in the day in true Hollywood fashion.

  • Jm Domanay

Awesome theater for Star Wars IX! yes waited outside since 1045am to watch 130pm show. So worth it. Iconic Vista Theater the "Best". $6.50 for first show! Totally Radical. …

  • Mark Landers

Unfortunately the place was given to Tarantino who's turning this theater into a cheap looking strip club look alike. The supposedly "golden" paint of the exterior is more reminiscent of the

  • Michael

Currently my favorite theater in LA. It's a beautifully restored example of the Egyptian themed vaudeville/movie theater from the 1920s. They have really good midnight screening programing.

  • Benjamin Slack

Perfect first experience in LA. Other reviewers complained about the sound but I thought it fine. Well worth the $6.50 I paid for a matinee. This will likely be my theater of choice in LA.

  • David Gallagher

What a scam. Charging close to $30 for a ticket to True Romance falsely claiming Tarantino would be there. They should have refunded the patrons that stood in line for hours

Tickets and snacks aren't overly pricey. Excellent atmosphere. Be sure to get there early if you're going to Secret Movie Club screenings, they can fill up pretty quick.

One of the greatest theaters on this planet! The management and the people that run it are fantastic! Run back to the movies because this place is heaven!

Beautiful theater. I just saw Vertigo here, and I am ashamed to say I have lived in L.A. all my life, yet this is the first time enjoying the venue.

Great Retro Egyptian-Deco style single screen theater right in Silver Lake! They always dress up in costume. See Star Wars ticket taker at the door.

One of the historic and iconic LA cinema. Ticket price is affordable. Staff are great and helpful. The perfect theatre for a date night.

A very beautiful, clean Egyptian style theatre. It was clean and the staff was great. A wonderful intimate place to see something.

It is more than just going to the movies... It is a great experience. The theatre adds to ANY film and makes it more fun to view.

A really cool little theatre with lots of personality and history. I wouldn't rate it for comfort, but it's got lots of charm.

It is a place to enjoy a story. A place where seats are not assigned, and popcorn is given on a flimsy paper bag.
